With no real plan, other than to find a cache or two... his was my first stop for the day... a nice quick find of a good sized container with some swag... tftc...
About half way home on our 270km journey for the day from Queen Mary Falls to Eudlo, after a great weekend in the granite belt, we stopped here very briefly.
Luckily it was just enough time to find the cache and stretch the legs ever so quickly. The driver was on a mission at this point of the weekend.

A final find for the morning here. Parked over the way and ambled over on tip-toes. (The council sign bans heavy vehicles on Taylors Road). Nicely tucked away out of sight but was soon in hand, and had my name added to the log. TFTC, fireboo40.
Out for some caching fun with Mr CuriousQuest. Heading west, I detoured to this cache. It was quickly located and the log signed. TFTC
Out and about today with Selva Girls to pick up some caches today. A quick find log signed and caches returned as found. TFTC
Clever little find that made me smile.
Full of treasures. Left one. Kept one.

A late night call to OBC and a plan was set to do some target caching on an assortment of caches in Toowoomba. An early morning start on a fresh, wet morning saw us leaving and heading west then a backseat surprise from mini obc was my wake up, lol. The targets were some oldies, some letterboxes, some for DT matrix, a FTF, a couple of puzzles and the odd trad as we stepped over it. It is always a fun day and an adventure when we get together and today was no different. We did have a little hiccup when we thought we were going to be stranded in Toowoomba and our caching day brought to a sudden stop. But a quick call to RACQ and a quick fix and we were soon on our way again. The list got shortened but then it got added to in other ways. A passing storm and wind gusts did see us having to abandon a few targets but we did make up for it on the way home. An awesome day with lots of laughs and some brave adventures.
This was our fifth find from the list and a nice hide, an easy park and grab, thank you. With log signed and cache replaced as found we were off to the next on our list. We were making great time and it looked like we were going to nail that list.
Thank you for placing this one here for us to enjoy.

Chamad and I decided to head to Toowoomba from Brisbane, and pick up an assortment of caches along the way. Some caches were for the date published challenge, some for the 360 degree challenge, some for the DT matrix, some because they were oldies, and some because they are already fulfilled challenges. And some because, well, you never walk over a cache.
Somewhere in the middle of Toowoomba, my car broke down, and our plans were thrown into chaos. RACQ to the rescue, and we were back to caching, albeit an hour behind schedule. Our luck continued into the afternoon as a storm rolled over, the temperature dropped, drizzle gave way to heavy rain and wind, and our commitment to the greater cause was traded in for some warm food and the safety of the car.
Still, a fantastic day with great company, and I'd do it again in a heartbeat.
Log signed and cache returned as found, and we were off for the next one.

Big random adventure today. Started in Beaudesert, Harrisville, Peak Crossing, Waloon, Helidon, Murphys Creek, Mount Kynoch, Toowoomba for lunch, Cambooya, Warwick, Killarney, Boonah then Beaudesert. 450 kilometres, 13 hours of driving, many memories and an absolute delight.
This was cache #3 of a total 10.
Had a squiz at the other one in town which was a big fat DNF, so it was good to get this one over and done with. Parked up nice and close an d sure enough the cache was in the first place we looked. Grabbed the cache out, signed the log and replaced as found.
Heading north west towards Toowoomba and some big black rain clouds were rapidly approaching so time was of the essence

Pulled the cache out about to open and a tarantula jumped off. Thanks for the cache. All is good here
The wife and I drove through this area many times back in the 70's when my wife's Grand Mother lived at Thagoona and it brought back a lot of memories even though the area has changed so much since then.
Found the cache easily but before I could replace it a couple of school kids appeared and then set off the nearby dogs. I waited in the car until things quietened down again before I replace it as found.

Yaaay!! I'm off on my Brisbane trip. Sad to be leaving my lady and her kids. I shall have to cheer myself up with geocaching ...
I've done some pocket queries and some research on the results. I'm trying to meet lots of targets for Professor Rapidly Wild's UGC series at home, so I'm seeking :
Two caches placed in 2000 - none found so far
One cache placed in 2001 - none found so far
119 caches of size "Regular" - Thirty found counting this one
20 caches of size "Large" - One found so far
One letterbox in Qld - Two found, target met
One letterbox in NSW - none found so far
Any puzzles and multicaches I can reasonably find.
I've located enough caches to find on this trip on this trip to complete all but the last target. So we'll see how I go. Last one today, I'm eager to see my brother and his wife and my Mum of ancient days ... I haven't seen Mum for a while. This one was a quick park and grab.
Day 1, Monday - 12 in total, including five "Regular" sized caches.
Day 2, Tuesday - 16 in total, including one "Large" and eight "Regular" sized caches
Day 3, Wednesday - 21 in total, including thirteen "Regular" sized caches and one Qld letterbox
Day 3, Thursday - 4 in total
Find no 4 of 4 today.
Thanks, fireboo40
