We came because it had favourites. They must be for the series. Thanks for the cache Granite Belt Cachers
Out riding a loop to Ballendeen and return. Fortunately, a quick find nobody waits on a big group ride.
Heading towards Storm King Dam for a night under the stars. I must be tired because it took longer than needed to find this one.

Stanthorpe has called me back. A one-night weekend and a time to re-experience a bunch of what this region has to offer. Including geocaches. Heading north after a quick maintenance trip to Girraween, I decide to come via Storm King. It's been a long time since my last visit, and there's new geocaches here.
As I crossed the bridge over the very full Storm King Dam, I lost reception. And hadn't had the foresight to download offline data. Ah well, I know there's another geocache up farther that I wanted and hoped for some 4G before I arrived. Alas, it did and I was reminded of the much love this geocache has received.
I parked up and was a little nervous about proximity to the house. Ultimately turned out to not be a problem. I wandered towards the namesake but had hardly touched anything when I noticed something a few steps away that looked just a little bit out of place. I looked up and down and decided it wasn't right.
Just a little poke and lift and I had the geocache in hand. That's a pretty sneaky hide! I see why so many folks have given it a favourite point! I signed the log on the bonnet of my car at 12:25 before replacing carefully back as found. Thanks for this extra smiley on my trip, Granite Belt Cachers

We were on holidays in Victoria for the MEGA EASTER 2023 and afterwards in NSW and are heading home now.
We stopped here, found the cache and signed the log. A fav point for the hide!

Now that was a clever hide. Couldn’t leave until we found it. We’ll done! Thanks to the Granite Belt Cachers
Out on a Sunday afternoon after finishing our chores. Chose this area just because.....
Very sneaky, but oh so easy. Well hidden cache. Thanks for the hide Granite Belt Cachers. Fave point for the day's entertainment, and this cache.

Found it straight away! It’s concealed very cleverly though. The container is one of the smallest I’ve seen.
Crookedpete and I were given leave passes from our respective families for the Easter long weekend for a geocaching road trip. I suspect that this was our families' Easter present to themselves to have a weekend alone without our company .
As members of The Bromance geocaching collective, we are a rather contrarian bunch, so while the main geocaching action was up north over Easter we decided to instead head south from Brisbane. Our main focus was on caches with lots of favourites, good DT combinations, high elevation or sitting sad and neglected with no visitors for an extended period.
After a stop for dinner at the Stanthorpe RSL, we continued our journey towards the Bald Rock campground which was to be our home away from home for the night. Our route took us not far from this cache so a short detour later and we found ourselves near GZ.
Even with the assistance of Victor Del Prado's lightbar to illuminate our search zone, we were starting to think we would walk away from here empty handed. It was more from chance and desperation rather than caching intuition that I checked a certain spot and low and behold a cache presented itself for signing. Nice hide indeed. TFTC

Heading south on an Easter hiking and caching adventure to Armidale and surrounds with SeffnJarah. A long list of caches for the long Easter weekend awaits.
After smashing a snitty at the RSL for dinner, we had a couple of caches to collect before making camp at Bald Rock camp ground for the night, in preparation for a sunrise hike up Bald Rock.
Seff managed to park the car on the right angle for his spotlight (aka the rays of death) to light up GZ. We headed to GZ, thinking we knew what we were looking for. A search here, a look down there along the fence line. After a while, Seff expanded the search and came up with this sneaky hide. Nicely played.
Many thanks Granite Belt Cachers

Out and about Stanthorpe and around Stanthorpe district while visiting from Brisbane for a few days. Thank you to all CO's for placing these caches in these locations. Really enjoyed the time travelling around the countryside and town. Found cache and signed log. TFTC
Was not that easy to find, but it was our second find, so we’re still learning. This is so mich fun!
This was the best of all Gatekeeper caches. We searched and searched and no cache to be found. After a certain amount of time spent looking we walked back to the car disappointed, when I turned around for a last time to look and suddenly I knew where the cache was hidden. What a joy it was not to leave this beauty unsigned. Such a great hiding spot. Thank for this great cache Granite Belt Cachers
A niceky crafted hide from the Granite Belt Cachers . However it didn't take Mrs Herbz too long to locate while Mr Herbz was looking in the wrong area . TFTC.
Spending an amazing week in the area. After the recent rain, it is beautiful and lush. I have never seen so much water around. TFTC.
well done! not sure why this was the first spot i looked , maybe after 4 days of everyday caching my eye is finally in. tftc
Realised I was quite close to this line of caches so set out with time and weather on my side. Must admit I struggled for a bit but knew it couldn't be too hard. No muggles on this road!
I felt that when we pulled up there were some obvious places to look and some supplemental places that needed an oil change. After checking out what I thought was obvious I headed across the road.
I soon heard Mrs Woodyrothwell say“get your favourite point wallet out you tight-arse because I’m spending”. Yes I’m a tight-arse and hate spending but this cool hide deserves one. tftc

On our way to QOGM (Blackall) day 13 of our trip. 25 caches for the day and 421 for the trip.TFTC
Looking all around then muggle daughter casually calls out is this it. It gets a fave point.
Staying at the nearby caravan park,we decided to target this series. This one was first on the radar, and took a bit of head scratching before we came up with the goods. A very clever hide and definitely worth a favourite to add to the growing list already assigned to this cache. Thanks Granite Belt Cachers for putting in the effort to set up this series of caches. Cheers from Bindair Dundat and Princess Madelyn.
Very clever one. Log was quite damp so didn't attempt to sign it with the pencil I had to avoid damage.
Moved up here from Girrawen National Park this morning in search of caches and souvenirs. Parked the van and after morning tea set off around the lake in search of caches. This wasn't too far from where we are camped so it was a quick park and grab. Thanks for placing this series of caches for us to find Granite Belt Cachers. TNLN SL. Logs are sometimes signed as SG if appropriate according to space avaiable.
We have returned to Stanthorpe to visit our friends Team Robbins before we continue on our adventures north. We still have many caches to find around this beautiful part of Queensland and with the weather being so perfect we set out to find a few. This is one of several we found today.
thanks Granite Belt Cachers

Well this one had us stumped, I even tried the other side in what I thought would be a likely hidey spot for a cache but nothing. Back to where the compass wanted us and there was something a little odd that we spotted. Great hide Granite Belt Cachers
Finally got a chance to head to Stanthorpe with my Geodog Scruffy and fill in a few gaps ...
Tried all the usual spots til I stopped and thought nah couldn't be ... but it was.
V. Clever, well worth a Fav. Point. [^]
All Good .. TFTC ..

It might be a 'lonely country road' normally, but not today with the nearby camp ground having no vacancy there was plenty of traffic. Carefully examined the nice gate. Looked like it may be newer than the cache! Spent , like prevoius finders, quite a while then retreated to the car and re-read past logs. Tried again with "IT" and found success. Very clever indeed. TFTC.
I was camping at the end of the road so had to stop on my way past at the end of the day. I'll blame a full day of geocaching having frazzled my brain for how long it took me to find this one.... TFTC - I added a favourite point.
Great little hide . I was looking elsewhere when MrsW calls out 'what about the #####'. I checked out her suggestion a lo' and behold...the cache. Love these different hides. Thanks
Geohubby was right on this one while I checked something else. A great hide that we enjoyed. You have placed some great geocaches around the area Granite Belt Cachers and we thank you for your time and effort. Cheers and happy caching!
Parked up next to GZ and started my search when geowife yelled out of the car window - have you tried that? I'm sure sometimes she has a sixth sense about where they are hidden. Signed log and returned it to its lair. Think it deserves a favourite point from us. TFTC Granite Belt Cachers
Our last day in Stanthorpe and we are heading to have a look at the dam. We stopped to collect this one in the fine drizzling rain. It took a few minutes to think a little laterally and then we soon had a flash of thought as to where it might be.
Thanks Granite Belt Cachers,
We have enjoyed many of your hides,

I am in town for the week-end to go to a friends 30th Birthday party.
And then it turned into an engagement party.
So after a long night I eventually got my act together and headed out to find a few caches. [^]
I headed out this way and found this one quickly.
I do like this type of hide. A fav pt awarded.

139Km from home.
Our second outing in our (New to us) caravan, off with muggle friends to have a look around Stanthorpe and continue to work out what we need for the van to make life even more comfortable .
Basing ourselves at Sommerville van park (10/10 recommendation from us), I took an early morning walk to add a few caches to the tank of the Roaring Ford.
A chilly start till the sun cleared the gloom but an enjoyable walk between caches. Taking in some of the other early risers (Roos, rabbits, feral cats, sheep, horses and cattle).
This first one had me stumped for a while until I thought to myself “what is out of place here”, soon picked a likely spot and found the very cleverly hidden cache.
The hide is excellent, the container is good nick and the log is ready for the next finder.
We took nothing but memories, we left nothing but footprints and our tag.
Thanks for the cache Granite Belt Cachers
Cheers

Found nice and easily while camped nearby. It's certainly a great spot for a cache! A little trickier but we saw through the disguise! Tftc
