Confirmed gone again. Evidently too many malcontents hang out around here to leave the cache be so not worth to keep replacing. Needs a more cunning cache in to survive in this area.
Checked all trees no find. Please inform us if it is still where it's supposed to be then we will try again. -_-
Checked on this on the way past. Still OK for now but we'll see if it gets muggled again in this location.
I am not happy at the implication that after taking the trouble of cleaning out a load of crawling insect life from the cache and placing a temporary log, that my find log may be false.
I will message the CO saying what and where I found - if the old cache is still where I found it and returned it it will cause confusion with the replacement.

Replaced the entire cache today after finding no evidence of the original despite recent finders claiming otherwise. It's a few metres further along now but the hint still applies.
I needed a cache to go towards the souvenir for the one week streak (don't worry, I kept my clothes on!)
This seemed a pretty straightforward cache, I had been in the area yesterday for a wonderful student concert but didn't have time to investigate the cache before or after.
Took advantage of the forecast break between the northerly gales and a southerly front and it was a pleasant morning.
A lovely tranquil spot I was unaware of. A pair each of ducks and black swans and lots of pukeko.
I wore my sturdy boots but they weren't really needed, just very slightly muddy in places but nothing significant.
The find was quite easy but I got a bit of a shock when I opened the cache as it was full of tiny creepy crawlies and what was presumably their eggs! No sign of the log book, perhaps they ate it. The fact that there is no inner container as mentioned in the description may have something to do with that.
I think I got rid of all the bugs and eggs but they may return.
I put in a temporary log of a supermarket docket which I had difficulty writing on but there is sufficient evidence of my visit.
TFTC.

Looks like this can't be logged at the moment. It seems that earlier loggers had an issue too but failed to log a maintenance request. I will be later in the week, possibly the weekend before I get to this.
How cool for a group of school kids and their teacher to find this treasure while enjoying our local park. GC6TM5Q
Nice location. A cockroach had made its home in the container but it didn't hang around long. Thanks for the cache and for bringing me to somewhere I've never been before!
Found in a good hiding place. Cut my finger on some sharp cutting grass in the search but what's a bit of blood when searching for a cache?!
Find # 195. Ickies! Wood lice! Cache in VGC. Found on a beautifully sunny New Year's Day with Aros71. TFTC & Happy New Year!
Sveppi and I moved down this way from Rotorua back in August. We are finally settling down and able to explore the area a bit more. This weekend we are not going tramping, so I manage to convince sveppi to come for a walk to view the highway site from the Belmont park. We parked behind the shops. No one here on a sunny Sunday afternoon, why?
First stop this cache. The hint was practically not helpful, I wondered where I would hide it and the GPS was jumping around a bit. Sveppi is the one who located it. over 1000 finds and she had not seen one like this before (from the height of my 1500 I had). Admittedly we do most of our caching in the bush not in the city so that is probably the reason. Anyways, nice tidy cache to start the day so I am happy.

Out for a Sunday afternoon stroll and explore of the area. No cars in the carpark and no one at the lake!! What a neat spot and so close to (our new) home. Cool hide.. like the "container" took a tool to remove the cover. TFTC
Found that quickly- disturbed a significant slater colony.
However, log was clean and dry.
Thanks

Once we looked at all the wrong hints, the GPS pointed elsewhere and there it was.

Picking up some caches in Porirua before the closing events of the Mega. While I was picking up the nearby Tour of Porirua cache, I thought I'd pop down here to get this one. Took a bit of searching but got there in the end. Even after my years of living in the area, I never knew this lake was here! TFTC
Last one of six caches found on our Cannons Creek walk today. Once I’d got to the correct side of the lake, this was a relatively quick find. #1956. TFTC.
Spent my Sunday nabbing some caches around Porirua! Yet another great container from you trancer96
Nice quick find thanks to the hint. The cache container was a different colour to others we have seen and ensured the cache blended in well with the hint object.
Found on a cycle ride Ngatitoa Domain, Cannons Creek, Whitby and back round the Inlet. Cold, sunny and no wind made for an enjoyable day. We really appreciate the thought and enterprise thats been put into the hides for these caches. TFTC
Out for a walk this afternoon in this very pleasant but seemingly little used area. Nice to have a seat nearby! TFTC
A quick find while out with the family and dogs. Cache was covered in baby slaters!
#4313. Been a few days since I was last out caching and the weather was not as bad as forecast. So headed up to Whitby and Cannons Creek for a spot of caching. Parked nearby and headed down the path. It was pretty boggy in the area but luckily I wore gumboots. And more luckily the cache hiding spot was seen before I needed to use the hint. I know this cache type as I have used it myself on a couple of hides. Signed and replaced the cache as found. Thanks for hiding it here trancer96. Very useful visit as well as I now have found a way to access D8 which has been on my radar for a couple of years (as well as the newer caches hidden up this walkway).
I have being looking at these caches in Cannons Creek for quite a while and thinking to myself that I must go and pick them up and get these off my list of unfound caches.
Contacted -gonefishing- and asked him if he was interested and he said yes and then I remembered that Mr-Mcgoo was interested as well as I had talked to him about these caches a few times prior at a few events. Got them both to meet me at Porirua and then we went and got into one car and made our way to GZ.
Finally arriving near GZ we managed to find a car park not too far from the entrance to this walkway, from here it was a quick and easy walk to GZ, but we had to be very careful as the track was very slippery from the last few days of rain. As we got near GZ it was time to go cross country and straight down hill, and once down at the bottom -gonefishing- so managed to find the cache in the first spot that he looked, signed and replaced the cache back as found.
Thanks for placing this cache here and for bringing me to this spot, TFTC TNLNSL (12311), now it is time to make our way back to the car and go to another entrance of this walkway.

Got a call from Yeetrees asking if I wanted a walk. Teamed up with him and -gonefishing- for a stroll. A quick trot to the gz and the cache was soon in hand. All in order. TFTC
Out for a stoll today with Yeetrees and Mr-Mcgoo picking up a few caches along the walkway.
Quite a nice spot down by the lake, although a but soft underfoot at the moment. The coords were good, so I was able to walk right up and put my hands on the cache straight away.

Found on a sunny afternoon. It was lovely to watch the fantails whilst sitting on the seat signing the log. TFTC
Dropped in for a quick find after work today. I wasn't aware of this lake, or the entrance to the regional park, interesting. I liked the hide, well done.

Quick find after a walk in the soggy grass to the cache. Nice hide. Lived a few km's away and never been here in 9 years. Thanks for showing us this lovely spot. T4TC
Cache # 3,626 - thank goodness! After 2 DNFs earlier in the afternoon, made an attempt, this time with both Astro Hunter and Violet Butterfly, and we were very relieved at a quick find on a quiet evening. TNLNSL. TFTC!

Just doing a maintenance check while in the area. I see what all the comments about slaters are about now! I also did an averaged coordinate check with a different GPS from what I used when I placed it and it seems pretty good.
The plan was for this to be my first find of the day but the presence of a muggle at this site forced me to change tack. I wandered off to find the other four on my list before coming back here. I quickly found the cache which is in excellent condition. I am very pleased to find five quality caches on an enjoyable walk.
Straightforward find with PomsAway and the geo dogs

A late afternoon stroll after the celebrations of the day to try and work off at least a small fraction of the lovely Christmas lunch.[^][^] Quickly found in the first place checked. Log signed and returned as found. And yes like the last finder, the slaters seem to enjoy the inside of the hide as a home, log all good though.

A quick find while passing through the area this afternoon. There was a moment of horror when I opened up the outer container to discover the inside boiling with slaters. These guys were easily tipped out though and the logbook signed and returned.
Thanks very much for the cache.

5 December 2016 19:31. TFTC. Went to the newly published cache nearby, and got this on the way back, so added 536m to the DGSC distance tally.
Just checking up on this while passing through since I haven't checked up on it since deployment. All good as expected.
Found this afternoon after a few minutes' searching likely spots. Nicely disguised! Signed log, TFTC
#8451. Met up with friends at lunch and together we enjoyed a nice walk in the Cannons Creek Lakes Reserve in Cannons Creek. There were a few other people across the lake, but they were too far away to cause any issues. Quick find. Well camouflaged. The cache was in excellent condition, all nice and dry inside. Took nothing, left nothing, signed log.
