Another day back in Chiltern Mt Pilot trying push my D/T average up slightly. A nice walk to some waterfalls and then a bit of CSI work. Then on to Beechworth to try for some new caches with a borrowed TOTT (and dinner with a group of sewing ladies!).I headed across the slope down to this one - wasnt too bad a walk compared to the cliff last week. At GZ I didnt hold too much hope given the recent DNFs. But it is still there - the photo in a post helped (though things have changed slightly). Really only doesnt 5 minutes looking so happy with that. Another great spot - not much water (only pools) but well worth the effort.TFTC Bingley3683
Damn. Was here for ages with no luck. Look forward to coming back one day with Belinda who will no doubt find it in 5 mins.
What a beautiful place tucked away out in the middle of nowhere have to come to back to this one when there’s some heavy rain
Back up too Mt Pilot National Park again today to knock over some more of the OCR series.
Took a fair bit of searching here until I noticed something odd, upon further inspection of the area the cache was spotted. What a awesome spot. Next trip I'll go for 'a seat with a view' tftc !

Great day to get out and put a smiley on this one, very easy with the marker rock, swear I looked there last time, but not hard enough apparently, thanks
After the last effort of dnf'ing this cache I wasn't hopeful. But found it quite quickly. TFTC.

Wow, had really not thought I’d have any hope of finding this one after previous DNFs, and even the cache owner not being able to locate it.
I spent about 15 minutes having a good look in every spot I could find but failed to find anything cache like. I widened the search somewhat but that wasn’t of any use either so I gave up the search for a bit just to admire the surrounds and relax in the quietness.
Worth noting while I was searching I did hear and feel the effects of what it felt to me like blasts from a quarry or similar. A noise from far off like cannon fire but swear I could also feel the shockwave through the ground. Very strange and unnerving experience.
With little hope of finding the cache I thought I’d give the area once last glance over before adding my name to the list of DNFs, and just as I was making my off the top of the rocks I happened to step across a couple and looked back from where I came and spotted part of the cache lid lurking in the shadows, I couldn’t believe it !
With log signed and cache placed back I had no doubt for the rest of the day I wasn’t going to be able to top this find.
As this cache is more about the location than the actual hide itself, I have left a flat piece of granite on top of the boulder the cache is under to make it easier for future searchers. Photo is also added.
Thanks for the great location, fave point awarded.
TNLN , TFTC , Cheers.

Was optimistic, but ve joined the que of DNFs.
Thought id check this out after last nights rain and it was flowing nicely, walking in the light rain was nice too.
Have been here a few times with the kids, they love checking out the old car wreck.
I think i put my head in every crack and nook around GZ, searched all around since the gps was doing a dance.
This is a brilliantly hidden regular if its still there.
Great spot to come regardless of cache. Thanks

Searched for over an hour but with no success. It's hidden really well or not there. Even widened the search area, still nothing.
Location location location, fave point from me for this one, didn't find it, but it's not all about the cache find, it's more about the Location Location Location.
Came past with Barambogie Bob and TeamMVB, took a while to find it! All good...
We FINALLY found it!! Woo hoo! Ventured out here for the first to find a few years ago with no luck. After reading the latest finder's log we really weren't overly confident we'd find it today! Managed to spot it relatively quickly and head on up the creek for the other two caches. All good with the hide. Disappointing to see the destruction from vehicle access in here. Didn't actually notice any tracks last time we were here! Tftc.
[:(!] Thanks for an awesome effort.
This one had us baffled for awhile, after walking around in circles for an hour or so and throwing discarded rocks down the slope where the water fall should have been, we came across a crevice and an unusual rock lying by itself, the rock was discarded down the slope and watched it disincinerated into pieces, as we normally do we pocked around with a stick and to our surprise there was the cache, our GPS had us about ten meters from GZ, with no rock now we just pushed the cache as far as we can and little be further as not to be obvious for mugglers to catch a glimpse of the cache.
I like it
Another one of the list

this our third for the day wasn't going to be easy due to the previous finder DNFing it. The area is so pretty very quiet with no water rushing.
The search was on and we looked slowly on and off for about 45mins to 1 hour and finally looked a bit harder in an awkward angle and there it was. A proud moment indeed.
Now for the long slow walk back to the car.
Thanks Bingley for the cache.

This was one of around 4 caches near Eldorado that I made the focus of today's caching. I parked at the specified spot and decided to go for the lowest of the three caches first, so that the walk back from the third was going to be a lot easier. I was hoping for a trifecta of the three caches along this creek, but despite my best attempts, this ended up being a DNF.
I looked around for over 30 minutes, maybe even 45 minutes but had to move on in the end. Perhaps I could get the quinella. I thought I'd checked every nook and cranny, but obviously I missed at least one, or perhaps just didn't look hard enough. My GPS was generally consistent in the area it pointed to, so I hope it wasn't leading me astray.
Two years ago, I found these falls on my way to another cache on the other side of the creek. Back then, there was no flowing water - all there was was a stagnant pool of water at the top and one at the bottom. Today was quite the opposite and it looked fantastic as the water flowed down the falls. Despite the DNF, it was still worth it for the falls, and there were another two chances later on.
My thanks to Bingley3683 for placing it and bringing me back with a more favourable view. I wish I could award a favourite without actually finding it.

Our one cache for the day to keep our numbers and fitness up! One of the goals we have set ourselves for this year is to try and log 1000 cache finds. This one makes 800 for the year, so we are well on the way! Another spectacular waterfall to add to our collection. The walk in was not nearly as wet and muddy as our last expedition in these parts and we disturbed a small mob of kangaroos near the start. More wildflowers than last time - paper daisies, sundews, stypandra glauca to name a few. The mozzies were threatening to carry mrs Harrowang away or at least taste her blood - not all of them lived to tell the tale! We could hear the water long before we could see it and were pleasantly surprised to see water feeding from a number of directions to contribute to the Falls. Found and SL at 3.22pm - 4th TF. Took: PT Left: PT, eraser and hen. #4070 TFTC and the stretch of the legs Bingley.
While there is still a lot of water around we thought we should go to the three waterfall caches.
Such a nice day today, so BettyBoo3747 and I set off for Eldorado.
We parked up on Old Coach Road and set off down the hill. The area is very green, and fortunately the grass isn't too long.
These were our first falls, and there is still plenty of water flowing down the creek.
It wasn't quite warm enough for a dip, but it certainly looked good.
Thanks, Robmc.

#11070. Today was our lucky day. I insisted that we visit some waterfall caches regardless of the weather and we got a fantastic sunny day for our adventures. The countryside is looking so lush and the spring flowers are starting to appear so the scenery is wonderful. We visited 3 waterfalls, one rock painting and one Behemoth and really enjoyed our ramblling in the sun.
2TF for this one at about 10.30am this morning. We parked at the given coordinates and wandered across several soaks and trickling creeks to the big one and it looked good today, as did the huge boulders on the other side. It didn't take too long to track down the container - thankfully - I thought it might have taken a long time after reading the previous logs. Took a ladybird keyring and left one of my Phryne-Rose pathtags.Took photos and continued on our walk to the next one.
Thanks Bingley3683

Well Ben u pretty much described our frustrating search this afternoon! We planned on checking out the dredge this weekend & thought why not look for this newbie while we were at it. The plan was to grab the 3 waterfall caches then head back to the dredge. But after spending 2hours searching here and unfortunately giving up before the mozzies carried the kids away we headed back to the car half expecting to pass Ben along the track!!! The falls were spectacular... disappointed we didn't see more of them upstream as planned! The kids kept saying the same as you Ben.... "r u sure it hasn't been taken?" Congrats on the FTF - not sure where we didn't look
**FTF** @5.30pm WoopWoop!
I've been out in Snowy River country for three weeks and let the locals score a few FTFs in my absence but seeing this one come up and it still be up for grabs when I got home I just had to go out for it. As I walked to GZ I started to follow a fresh trail of trampled grass and wondered if it was human or animal. Arriving at GZ I soon learned it to be human as all around GZ was turned upside down. It was like they'd had a very thorough search of an expanded area and were possibly frustrated doing so. I thought my luck was up but since I was here I went to work looking for myself. I soon learned this cache was not an easy one to discover as I seemed to follow in the footsteps of the previous person. Every spot seemed plausible but nothing turned up. After half an hour I gave myself a break to take a few photos of the pumping waterfall. Last time I saw this it was only a trickle.
On return I expanded my search wondering if a coord error has occurred... That was a fleeting thought and back to the grind I headed. It was quite humid and the mozzies had really come out in force, an hour had passed now and although my GPS kept walking me around the boulders it seemed to bring me back to a central spot each time. Somewhere I'd searched, bumped my head, scratched around and climbed all over. I was feeling like I'd turned the place upside down and that whoever was here before me had stolen the cache. Then, typically as usual, just as I was about to throw in the towel I spotted something untouched. This got my hopes up and as I reached in I laid my hands on it, the tricky geocache!
A typical Bingley hide, in a spot with lots of options. And spot on coords.
TFTC and the long hunt this arvo mate.
