Enjoyed our walk though a very quiet Pyrmont on a Sunday afternoon. And nice to revisit this history after completing Purgatory, Paradise and Hellhole a few years ago. We circled around and collected what we needed, did our calculations and got the go-ahead from the checker. We checked some places on both levels leaving no stone unturned, we thought, but found no geocache. Will have to rethink and return before long. Cheers... Gaztek
Third time's a ... Nope... Another failure. Armed with some specificq information from the CO (which indicated I had previously been searching the correct spot), I came back today. Another thorough search, another attempt empty handed.
I'll put a watch on this one and come back if someone finds it.
I'll put a watch on this one and come back if someone finds it.
Extended my lunchtime walk out to here today. Did some maths, calculated a GZ, then struggled to work out the correct elevation. I had a good look around, but this one defeated me for today. I'll have to come back.
With the current climate of restrictions lifting, its time that we are all allowed to go Geocaching once again.
To help stop the spread of Covid-19, The Australian and NSW Governments requires everybody to stay at home unless you are: shopping for essentials, receiving medical care, exercising or travelling to work or education.
While some people would regard going geocaching as a form of exercise, it is my personal opinion that this activity is a non-essential one, perhaps involving unnecessary travel and therefore should not be undertaken during this time of crisis.
Who knows how long this pandemic will last! Right now, every one of us has an important part to play in helping to keep our families, friends and the wider community safe in the fight against the spread of Covid-19, by staying home.
As a result of the health authority’s directive, I have decided to disable all my caches and respectfully request that no person seek out and claim a find on any of my hides whilst the caches are disabled.
Thank you for your cooperation. I look forward to bringing my caches back into play as soon as the health crisis abates, and stay safe.
Cheers

Search quite a long time at GZ, but was not able to locate the cache. Regards from Switzerland.
Tftc! A ripper cache. I enjoyed this one and it went well for me. It was deceptively easy. Beware of muggles at the GZ
Nice morning stroll with the handsome CO and 2 muggle friends. A well executed multi so a fave for the view and the clever cache.
Wow, what a great cache!
I started this last year on a previous trip, but only took pictures to finish solving once I got home (it had been a long long day!) Now I was excited to finish this up. I of course started in an non-optimal place but quickly corrected.
Note… it was weird having muggles in their kitchen at eye level with me at first.
Once I had “adjusted”, I searched the usual places. I was a little frustrated that c:Geo’s google maps interface is broken so I couldn’t use Satellite view. How did we ever cache before that!?!
I just wasn’t making any progress, so I took a break from a great chicken burger and a brew (or two) at a nearby pub… the same one I had stopped into last time I was here. Halfway through the second pint it occurred to me to reach out to CO and see if I was at least in the right place. Glad he is patient as he nearly had to throw a brick at me. As it turns out, I had my hand on the cache twice before I found it!! Can I claim jet lag still after two weeks??
Great cache all the way around (and up and down!). Favorite point for sure.
Thanks for the fun!

I did the calculations last week during lunchtime and then ran out of time to complete the find. Came back today and found it without any real difficulties. It felt exposed making the find, but it was ultimately very quiet, so managed to do so without giving the game away. I can see what people mean about getting the lid off, it felt cross threaded, but obviously wasn't - I wondered if maybe some grit was caught, so I tried to ensure it was clean. The log was nice and dry with plenty of space left for now. A great spot that I was previously unaware of. TFTC.
I must have touched the hide a few times before finally checking the ‘other side’. TFTC!
Went up the hill with Happy Jackie and together solved the puzzle. Didn’t take too long to have CIH. Harder to retrieve log but managed that in the end as well. Thanks.
Came through with teamMerlin today on a short walk around the area. Finally located the hide location after tM rechecked something we had dismissed. Thanks for the multi Seemyshell.
In Sydney with part of JJCC and decided to come back out and see if we could find this elusive little hide. Made our way to the elevation of the posted coordinates to double check if anything matched a hint we had been given from a previous finder, but nothing matched so we changed our elevation. Looked at several option that were available then JJCC looked at something and dismissed it. On rechecking said item we spotted the hide...very sneaky.
With the cache in hand we both signed the log before replacing as found. Both the cache container and log are in good condition. Thanks for the multi Seemyshell.

Oh this one was disappointing in the fact that we didn't find the cache. Found the required information easy enough but just couldn't spot the hide at GZ. Will be back for this one.
Found Thanks for the cache hide and the ride. SL and returned cache to where we found it. ♡♡☆☆

Arriving here and quickly grabbed the cache, much easier than first thought. Unfortunately I couldn't get the lid off no matter how I tried and tried. I had wind of this problem previous to coming to Sydney and decided to bring a spare, but I had the wrong type. Twisting and turning and grunting and groaning the lid would not budge. I looked through my bag to see if I had anything that might assist as I hadn't brought any pliers with me, thinking I may just be able to replace the container, but not so at all. Eventually I decided to give it a *very gentle* tap on the edge of the timber on the seat I was sitting and OMGosh, it budged. Woo Hoo got the lid off. The O Ring is missing. The lid wasn't jammed on and didn't seem cross-threaded so I suspect the sea air is causing the cache to seal shut. I thought I could put a tiny dollop of paw paw ointment on the rim to give it a little protection/lubrication but didn't have at hand. I didn't think I would be able to sign it initially, but did so in the end. A fav point.
**The Day**
Came up to Sydney to attend a 2½ day conference at ICC in a group of twelve. I had planned at home to miss the most boring session in the conference and head over to *Distillery Hill*, but first I had to visit a cache on Pyrmont Bridge and sign it off just in case my route changed or something. I walked to Pyrmont Bridge from ICC and then went to get the *Light Rail* but couldn't find the station I wanted and ended up back down at ICC to catch the *Light Rail* to *John Street Square* and made the easy walk to *Distillery Hill*. It's a bit intimidating walking the quiet narrow inner streets alone when you're not used to it.
I have climbed about 40 to 50 flights of stairs over the past couple of days I don't care to see anymore, so I decided to take the lift . Walked around and then went and perched myself on a seat. You have full view into the fish bowls and no one appeared to be home. Decided again to take the lift that was a little concerning. I pushed the button and the lift didn't seem to do what it was supposed to and it took about three attempts to get the doors open. I was hoping I didn't get stuck inside. *Nightmare* ! Took the risk anyway. Replacing the cache I then walked down toward the Fish Market *Light Rail* after stopping at another cache on the way, and headed back to *Harbourside* for an Indian Curry by the waters edge, until it poured and chased everyone inside .

Very interesting read about the history of this area - which I knew very little about. After a rather lazy lift ride up to the park (in our defense - my husband has an old knee injury that makes stairs difficult!), we walked the ring to find the required information Had a search around gz for a while before reassessing altitude options. Once at the correct height, a quick find. TFTC SMS - a favourite point from us! ^_^
Great spot with a nice history. After almost twisting my fingers off I finally got the cache open and could sign it. This one was fun. Tftc!
Found this while gathering info for another multi by the bridge. Got all the letters and numbers and was certain I was correct with my sums as usual! Then checker said NO! What? That can't be! No way! I never make a mathematical error! So a recount of the words and exactly the same digits as before. Tried checker again and this time got the tick of approval! That has happened before on other occasions for some unknown reason.
GZ was close but it took me a couple of goes before I realised where I actually needed to go. A check here and there uncovered the prize. But try as I could that nano was sealed so tight it wouldn't budge. With no pliers or other tools on me I sent a photo to CO as proof of my discovery. Thanks for the nod to log a FOUND IT and bringing me to this interesting part of the City. Have a FP. TFTC

Boy oh boy we made hard work of this one. Lovely deserted park. Collected clues and then the hunt began. And it went on and on until we found the spot: Thanks for the clever hide.

TFTC! On a lovely stroll to get to discover our new neighbourhood, we ended up going all the way north of the peninsula. We loved the whole route and all the caches we managed to found. The area has a really interesting history and it has definitely endured a major development in these last few years. Thanks for hiding and maintaining! An amazing multi to get a glimpse of the history of this area. FP granted for that and for the camouflage!
Seemyshell I found your cache Distillery Hill on 25/11/18, 5:03 pm. This is my find 2179 and find # 14 today. Found the plaque, did the calculations and got the green light. A quick look at what I thought was GZ came up empty. Widened search area and soon had CIH. Thanks for the cache! TNSLLN

I enjoyed this cache very much. Love a good multi, with some history plus a view !
I managed to get a green light in the checker first time round, which was surprising, as I never really learned to count ... Then managed ground zero with minimal fuss. This was extra good as the rain had just started.
Thank you, Seemyshell!

After a long period of (much needed) rain it was a dry, sunny and warm spring day. So for my lunch break I decided on a walk from Darling Harbour to Pyrmont to try to find ‘Distillery Hill’ and ‘Purgatory, Paradise & Hellhole’. Both caches I attempted a year before but I never managed to find the two caches.
Visiting the round circles and redoing the maths I noticed the error I made one year ago in my final coordinate. So this time I was more lucky and can change this cache into a smiley on my geocache map!

Well didn't we mull over this one on a wet Sunday arvo!
So many possible hiding spots!
Finally triumphed though and thanks
It was the great big sandstone that convinced us.
Thanks Seemyshell

Found on this drizzly afternoon with MummyPenny. This took a couple of goes because I screwed up the count at first and we went to a very plausible spot that was totally unrewarding. The second count was on the money but it was still a chance find, not really expecting it to be where it was. There seems to be an attachment system with no effective mate so perhaps a check is needed. Thanks Seemyshell.
I too recall the nearby Multi which I found quite early in my caching "career"; today I started quite late in the day and ambled in this direction. I enjoyed reading the info on the metal ring/ plaque, did the calculations, was amazed to get a green tick (there's many a slip... when calculating WPs).
Then I red other logs and decided on my plan of attack. The cache wasn't in the direction I'd thought it would be but the hint mad sense.
Thanks for this enjoyable Multi, Seemyshell. Greetings from New Zealand.

I seem to recall another multi situated nearby which I enjoyed solving and finding years ago, and this cache was equally if not more pleasant than the previous one. I got some good exercise climbing the stairs to the listed coordinates, and after a couple of moments quickly figured out a strategy for locating the answers that didn't involve complete recounts for each letter, and soon enough I calculated GZ and the geochecker agreed. Not far away, but required the review of previous logs to determine which level was the right one to be searching on. Hard to look inconspicuous searching at GZ however it was mid-afternoon on a week-day and thankfully rather quiet. The cleverly camo'ed cache was located relatively quickly, and taken a short distance away to complete the signing duties. TFTC Seemyshell, deserving of a fav point for location and the hide! Cheers!
Fun puzzle and it wasn't too long before we had a plausible set of cordinates, thankfully not that far away at all. After reading a few logs we figured a level change was in order and then began a super long hunt, more log reading, more hunting, then FINALLY we located the hide. We dismissed GZ at first as being an unhidable location, but yet there it was all along. Simple but effective camo. Some nosy people in the apartments behind GZ- pretended to discuss and take photos of the nearby geological feature until they went inside. Thanks for the great multi Seemyshell.
I love this type of cache that highlights our early settlement and the industries that were around our harbour. I love all the old yellowblock sandstone buildings that were built from stone quarried here that can be found around our city.
I've never been to this spot in Pyrmont before. (How many times have you heard someone say that related to caching locations???)
It was interesting to come and see the locations. Even the new developments actually seem to fit in with the location and its great that the rock wall along Distillery Road is still visible, a reminder of what was there before, and lies beneath today.
I came here on my way to the event at Pirrama Park this morning.
There was no one around, or maybe there had been and they just got blown away in the gale up here. Fortunately I'd read the cache info before coming here and organised the clues into chronological order so it was only once around the ring as I battled to stand still and collect the info at WP1.
I sat and calculated my final GZ and headed to where I thought matched the hint! Spot on! Cache quickly found. I moved to a sheltered spot to unravel the log and make my mark on it.
TFTC # 2649, Streak day #228
Favourite point awarded, I really liked this one!

The family and I are down from Brisbane visiting Sydney for an extended weekend trip. While the rest of the family had a lazy morning around town before heading off to Bondi, I headed off bright and early on a chilly winter's morning to grab some more caches on my to-do list.
Muggles had proved troublesome all morning, and I had to abandon a number of searches because of people to close to GZ. This time the required area was completely deserted and after counting words and letters, soon had a final set of coordinates. The tall buildings around GZ didn't help the hunt for the final container and I spent a good long while focused on a particular area. With no luck there a read of some logs and photos revealed I would never find what I was after there. After relocating I had to wait for some passing garbage trucks before the hiding spot revealed itself and the log was duly signed. TFTC

P.S. log is full, sorry we didn't have a replacement logsheet small enough. Just managed to find a small spot to sign.

We'd finished off all the other caches in Pyrmont a few months ago before we were premium members. Now with our new memberships, we decided to catch the caches not available to is before. Interesting bit of history. Sandysa made a quick find at GZ after we figured out the correct elevation. Clever camo . TFTC!
Came back to Pyrmont today to grab the few caches we did not get to do last year. Had fun going up and down through different methods. Thanks for the cache and local history.
Sunday caching in Sydney. This was one of the caches found during an on-foot tour in the area.
Great wee multi this one. Has all the elements for adventure followed by confusion. Where should I be, up, down, up?
In the end I followed my nose - which rarely fails me, ha!
Cache in order. Log signed - just, and I won't bother to repeat 'the log's full' message (but it is). Safely re-hidden, just as found.
I visited here with team cacher zboy wonder.
TFTC gets a fave point from me. History mixed with exercise, adventure, thinking, counting, figuring and then positioning. What more could you ask for?
The Turtle strikes again!

Clever camo, I actually picked it up to look behind it without realising it was the cache itself... worth a FP. The log is full though. TFTC
Before the Dönerstag Event i did a little cache tour with Martin cousins and JordsAU. It was a little bit tricky to decide if we should look at the top or the bottom of that Hill... Thank you Seemyshell for Distillery Hill ! Lovely Greetings from the german explorer-turtle

Found with Entdeckerschildkröte & Martin Cousins.
With Döner's Day celebrations set for the evening in the city, I decided to head in early to tackle the yet to be found caches in the Pyrmont area. I put the word out to see who else was free and was joined by Entdeckerschildkröte & Martin Cousins.
We made arrangements to meet up at the 'Sydney Fish Markets' (GC770X8) to kick things off and I was the last to arrive (thanks to mechanical issues with my bus). Martin Cousins had went on ahead but I met up with Entdeckerschildkröte there. The cache was In Plain Sight and easily spotted. Thanks For The Cache rinsemesocks.
We crossed under the Western Distributor and over the tram tracks to catch up to Martin Cousins at 'Paradise' (GC7D6WF). Martin Cousins offered up a hint to help us narrow our search and we soon had the nicely constructed cammo and Cache In Hand. Thanks For The Cache Diadem.
I had previously solved the 'Forgotten Australians # 2' Mystery Cache (GC3EA1R) and, while Martin Cousins had already found it, we came past for a quick find once at Ground Zero. Thanks For The Mystery Cache rinsemesocks.
Another one Martin Cousins had already found, but we had not, was the 'Carmichael Park Troll' (GC2XR4K). A couple of muggles were celebrating 420 day a little prematurely right next to the bridge, but we were able to grab the cache without any issue. Thanks For The Cache rinsemesocks.
Next up was the 'Distillery Hill' Multi Cache (GC6VCKK). A straightforward multi with interesting history behind it. At the final location, we were unsure which level we needed to be at, but eventually made the find after widening our search. Thanks For The Multi Cache Seemyshell.
It seems our luck turned at this point, where we had a thorough search for the 'Great Balls of Iron' (GC23VNP). Even with a Phone A Friend, we were unable to locate the cache. Will have to try again another time #DNFpride.
Our string of bad luck continued at 'Maximum Points' (GC572NZ), despite having a fair idea what we were looking for, and at which level #DNFpride.
We were back on track with 'History of the HMT Dunera' (GC6RKQZ), for a fairly quick find. Thanks For The Cache Team MavEtJu.
The third Did Not Find for the day was at the final for the 'Purgatory, Paradise & Hellhole' (GC24AHK). Even though Martin Cousins had previously found, we were unable to locate it today. Will have to return in the near future #DNFpride.
We were able to finish on a positive at 'Sydney Heritage Fleet' (GC75RND). It proved illusive and threatened to derail us, but persistence paid off and we spotted the sneaky hide. Thanks For The Cache 2qt2bstr818.
With a fairly successful haul under our belts, we arrived on time at the '4th Annual Dönerstag in Sydney (Döner's Day)' Event Cache (GC7HY7P) at Darling Harbour. It was our biggest turn out to date! We had a great time catching up and discussing plans for the long weekend. Thank you all for coming and helping continue this joyous tradition!

Completed the multi on a very warm Holy Easter Thursday with JordsAU and Entdeckerschildkrote.
Took a while to realise we were on the wrong elevation and used the elevator to the correct level and then it was a mission still.
I actually had my hand on it and then JordsAU picked it up and said there it is, thanks for the sneaky hide Seemyshell

After a bad day at school a cache was needed. So I came here after another paf and my third time here as well. Once at GZ I was surprised to find three other cachers and soon had the CIH. Good to meet some other cachers and TFTC seemyshell!
Almost my Sydney nemesis cache I think! Really enjoyed this one even though it has taken me three visits. The history is great. Today I was armed with a clue which I misinterpreted but aided with a a hint from a couple of other younger cachers on the same mission as me, the find was made and can now come off my list. TFTC!
We were in Sydney Australia for two days on Holland Americas Amsterdam.
On Day #1, we had the time in the morning to find three caches in The Rocks area before starting to do the "Sydney Bridge Climb". What a great experience that was!
On Day #2, we geocached most of the day in the Darling Harbour area. We were able to find 7 caches, but had 5 DNFs. We think three of them are gone, but will check with the COs to see. We put them on our Watch List to see what happens with them going forward.
Thank you to each of the COs for their efforts and for the 10 caches we did get.

This cache: We got to GZ and proceeded to do the required calculations. We came up with the final coords for this multi and went to them; however, we could not find the cache. Oh well . . . We put it on our Watch List to see what happens going forward.

Rushing to the airport, but I had to find at least 1 cache today. Having been here before, for another multi, long time ago... I had a deja vu moment... After getting coords, and nearly doing a PAF then dnf, I spread my search a little and found something quite odd.. nice hide .. now off to the airport...!

Happy Australia Day
What a fantastic way to celebrate the 26th of January. CACHING.
Through the week I picked an area and made my plans. I packed sandwiches and heaps of water.
I drove to Hawthorn and for the 1st time I caught the light rail. I have never been on it before. Easy and quick. I got off at John St station and then I was off. My aim was 1 mystery, 2 multis and some traditional.
This was an amazing area on top of the world and the view was fantastic thanks for bringing me here.
I pick the right level to search on but still need to PAF. Successful in the end fav from
Me.
Thank for placing and maintaining the cache.

OCW with Coastblue. We needed a special cache for CBS 500th milestone, so we headed to this high favourited multi. The views from WP1 are amazing. Quickly solved the puzzle and set about searching. We searched high and we searched low before CB discovered the awesome camo and the cache. Great multi- worthy of a favourite point. Congratulations CB. Cache# 643 TFTC SMS
OCW Rodney1210. Starting the day with 496 finds, the plan was do another waypoint of an international multi we’d been working on and then picking up some of the surrounding caches working towards my 500 milestone. We completed a few traditionals and then found ourselves here. You know how your caches always make me curse you? Why did I think this one would be any different? When we saw the way the waypoint one, let’s just say we sighed and commenced our ascension. With the sun on our backs, I started counting and Rodney kept the score. Finally we had GZ deciphered and our initial search saw us circling. It was too hot for this craziness so we went in for the hint and what do you know? More ‘sighs’! Soon after I made the find and we joked about how this is what we expected from you. Log signed with a tiny #500 and it was replaced. Thank you for a great little multi in a beautiful area. Views are amazing including the lady washing her dishes and cleaning her kitchen! TFTC!
With the GPSr not a great help in this environment, I resorted to my geo-senses and soon found the nicely camouflaged cache. For Mr MR, who is over-reliant on the technology, it was a great relief. SL TFTMC.
I had this one on the list to do on Saturday but had to curtail my geocaching activities when it started pouring down. Back in the area today, the weather was not much better, and was blowing a gale, but we were determined to give it a go.
Calculating the coordinates was straightforward but locating the hide was another matter. Thankfully, I was accompanied by YGAT who eventually uncovered the cache, I doubt I would have found it alone.
Nice multi, thanks Seemyshell.

While frazeydaze went around in circles in the mid afternoon sun oldmorty sat on a bench under an old fig tree watching the people go about their business in the units opposite the park.
Having walked up the stairs from Great Balls of Iron, then the stairs from Purgatory, Paradise & Hellhole, oldmorty and I found ourselves at the top of the world. Well almost. After finding the ring and recording the words required, I joined oldmorty under the fig tree to process the coords.
Whilst there, some muggles arrived. They sat down and looked at the ring. Oh no, not more cachers? Then the sound of a drone could be heard whizzing up into the air. (Maybe they were coming to look at my calculations?) Bit windy for a drone I thought. They must have thought so as well, as after a couple of short fights, they left.
Now back to caching. Funny how I was automatically drawn to the lift. Then I suddenly realised that I wasn’t alone. There were hundreds (well maybe a couple) of pairs of eyes watching me from the units surrounding the park. Not having much luck and feeling very exposed I looked at the coords again. This isn’t right. Must be something I’ve missed. Re-read the hint. Ah, I think I know where it might be. Yep, there it is. Took a while, but I found it in the end. Favourite point from me. Fabulous history lesson, and even better when you get to see the area up close. It was an intermittently wet day today so I had my hands full with an umbrella, GPS, notebook and pen, swapped occasionally with the phone for taking photos, all adding up to quite the juggle. Grabbing the info was easy but it started to rain again with two to go, so I quickly jotted down some notes and made the final calculations under the big fig tree. With the numbers I needed, and having wisely read the past logs, I took off to where I thought the final would be. I interpreted the hint in a certain way but still couldn't find anything. I accidentally came across a Geocaching Australia virtual find on my journey which was a nice surprise, but I had to resort to PAFing the CO for the second time in a week! It turns out that I had just overshot the mark by a few metres initially, but that was 45mins prior. Loved coming to this spot that I didn't know about before, learning about the history here and taking in the views. Might have to visit again in the sunshine for a more sparkling view. Thanks SMS, have a fave point too!
3rd of 3 this morning before doing the weekly shop - Glebe and Pyrmont.
After collecting the necessary info last week when in the area, and getting the ok from the checker, it was back to day for the search. After spending about 20 mins at the wrong level it was soon CIH when at the right level. The cache is in good order, however, it may need a bit more sticky gunk in the near future. TFTC and the history about Distillery Hill Seemyshell. Now for the shopping.

Found it excellent hide spot. Loved your create camo. Signed the log as EV and ozuk and thanks for the cache and hunt fav from me
I was out in Pyrmont with the geokiddies and we found ourselves close to this multi. What a surprising location, the developers have created a wonderful tribute to the history of this suburb here. With no muggles in sight, I collected the required info and did the calculations while the kids had a run around. With a likely GZ it was then off to search for the cache. With the phone struggling to settle on a spot it was an unsuccessful search across a wide area. We were about to leave the area and who starts Periscoping? The CO himself. With a confirmation from the CO that the GZ calculated was good and a hint -thank you SMS, it was a change of approach for this one. By this time the kids were ready to move on so I only got to have a brief look at the new location which has some interesting structures to investigate.....next time, and a good excuse to come back here. So it's not a DNF here, rather a to be continued......
In the meantime, thanks for the multi SMS and for bringing us to this location....we will be back one day to make the final find and convert this to a smiley.

Unfortunately couldn't locate and then security came and said leave and yeah.bugger.
Quick stop before work while I checked the other nearby multi and still no joy. messaged the CO to make sure my coordinates were correct and will try again for a smiley.
Well, this one was quite a find. Its not often you actually have the cache in hand, and put it down not realising what you have. But that is what happened here. It was not until I backtracked that I realised what I had done. Good camo! TFTC
Found GZ but couldn't manage the cache in the dark even after the muggles hanging out on the park bench left
Well there's a place I never knew existed. Remember looking and dreaming at the units here when they were first released. Still dreaming! Great fun walking in circles, because standing and counting is way too logical, sitting in the sunny wind tunnel and then appreciating the lift not in service. Found crafty cache that as others have mentioned, doesn't attach as it used to. Its still awesome. TFTC seemyshells.
Today we headed over to Pyrmont and the city CBD, taking advantage of the cheap Sunday $2.50 per head capped Opal Card fares, to have a look at some of the new caches that had appeared in those areas since our last visit. Also visited some more waypoints of a CBD Multi-cache that we are working on. This was the 2nd of 5 finds, and a few waypoints, for the day.
After finding "Sydney Heritage Fleet" we next walked up to this Multi. It was a familiar spot, as we had been here some time ago for another Multi "Purgatory, Paradise & Hellhole", and so we headed straight up to WP1 for a look.
After going around in circles for a while, well that seemed the best way to gather the required info, we soon had what we needed. And, after a few calculations and subsequent loading of the new coords into the GPSr, we were off to final GZ.
After unsuccessfully searching for a short while at one level we then went to another level where we soon uncovered the hide and had CIH. Signed the tiny log sheet, then replaced as found. Camo is looking a bit worse for wear, with the "securing devices" mostly fallen off (all bunched together on the last attached one), but the actual cache container & log sheet are both in good shape.
Thanks Seemyshell for the interesting history of the area, and for the cache itself.

Muggles: A few people walking by
Weather: Pleasant autumn morning
Cache condition: Good
I decided to go into the city early, taking advantage of the school holidays and therefore lack of a need to drop kids off at school, and enjoying a jog around the city rather than the 'burbs. I headed straight to the Hill. I recognised the feature at the bottom from a previous cache, but hadn't been to the top, so was interested in the history, as well as enjoyed the views in multiple directions. I retrieved the necessary details and calculated GZ. I had read previous logs so had an idea of where to look, but was too smart for my own good, focusing on a certain area, nearly to the point of giving up, until I decided to trust my GPS - nice hide! TNLNSL, then jogged back to work via the water-side to make the distance more acceptable. TFTC

Mate what a legend . We double checked our work and scoured the location with flashlights until the neighbours in the adjacent Towers started getting nervous. And then it clicked... This was the first cash I've ever done on a premium account and I was extremely appreciative of the time and effort that went into the history and the Cache container. Thanks mate you're a legend.
Cash might need a stitch of maintenance after the heavy rains.

Ahahhahahahhaha!!!
What a great fun I had with this cache!
First, thank you from bringing me to such an odd location in the middle of Sydney that I had no idea existed.
Calculations came easy, but then the search took a bit longer than I first thought.
The hint gave me the idea that I may have been looking in the wrong level...
So head to another likely location... and there I was greeted by the CO himself!!
And me thinking that I got in troubles!
What a nice coincidence and thanx a lot for such a great hide!!
FP from me
And as precious cachers have mentioned, the mechanism that was put into the cache isn't really working anymore, but the cache is still well hidden and makes no much difference

Not sure if this is really a DNF or not! I was really looking forward to this one today with some great history here. Once at GZ I gathered the great clues and was off. A reasonable search then time was against me. Back again later at my calculated GZ without success. Oh well- next time!
Completed the calculations a couple of weeks ago during a super hot Sydney day and thankfully received the green light from the CO but decided to be SunSmart and return to hunt another day. So today I hit the GZ, had a look in some less obvious places and then some obvious places and soon had the very clever cache in hand. Played out some tactical geo moves to ensure any prying eyes from the nearby dwellings were averted, although the local constabulary may have thought otherwise (don't worry all 'geo moves' are absolutely legal). Anyway... undertook the necessary and returned exactly as found. I do think the cache needs a wee bit of maintenance to ensure it remains comfortable for future cachers. Great one Seemyshell, enjoyed the history, gin lesson and views. A fav from me. TFTMC

When we were walking towards this cache we recognised
the area and thought we had not logged a previous find.
Kept walking towards the start, nope, not climbed up here before,
well who takes the lift? Counted the words and worked out where to go.
No cache, back again, yep, correct numbers. Could it be .........?
down we go, get Muggles, then just by chance Mr. G. found it.

In the city today for a friend's retirement lunch. Lucky sod, I wish I was... hold on, I am!
After a bit of retail therapy, I jumped on the light rail and targeted the five newer caches around Pyrmont I hadn't found.
And I found all five - some much harder than others.
Then light rail and bus back to *The Hademobile*.
###END OF CUT AND PASTE SECTION###
I have a friend who used to work for CSR when it was still here.
Walked here from the nearby light rail stop and quickly made my way to the published coordinates.
Then did my calculations and that pointed to... Yeah, logical.
So I checked. And checked. Hmmm, nothing after 15 minutes. So I went for the hint. Well, that could mean a few things. One I'd pretty much already covered, so decided I had nothing to lose and check the other possibility.
And spotted it immediately! No muggles in line of sight so I made the grab - CIH.
Took well away to complete signing duties, noting like others before me that only one of the attachments is still doing its job.
Had to wait for a break in the muggles to make the replace.
Second good historical multi in this area. Gets a favourite for both the history and the interesting / sneaky / cheeky hide.

I came here 10 days ago on my way home from "Tied to Tide" to collect the information required, then calculated GZ at home. It is certainly a place of interest and there are lots of new apartment buildings since I was last in the area. Today as I left work the storm was beating down and I figured I would go straight home. But the traffic was delayed by the storm so it took ages to get to the fish markets, and as a consequence the storm was over. So I came back.
I figured I understood the hint, and went about my search but it revealed nothing. So I then thought I was wrong and went to another possible place, where I discovered that I hadn't refreshed the cache data in c:geo, because it took me to the original place. So I refreshed the cache and then went back to my original idea where I made a quick find.
A nice cache and always good to learn a bit more history. Not really into rum, I have to be careful with what I put my liver through.
