Yes, cache was hanging from a tree branch, and all trees along here were felled 4-5 weeks ago. Cache almost certainly gone

02-Apr-23
No joy here. A very new fence here, I suspect there was a much older one or perhaps some trees here before that.

13-Feb-23
Found while cycling the GTT. My 7 compatriots cycling with me stop for no man (or woman) so I have time for a short look only if not to face furious pedalling thereafter. Thankfully a straight forward find. TFTC

A nice quick find thanks. There was a cat sunning itself close to GZ. It ran when it saw me!

Ms_KR and I are off on a wee road trip to Nelson. Today we had another great day, cruising from Kaiteriteri, Motueka, Rabbit Island and on back to Nelson.

Thanks to all CO's for publishing and maintaining their caches. Cheers.

12-Oct-21
I looked for this cache a while ago, but didn't come up aces. Once I saw a recent find, I decided to try again. First, I checked the same places as last time, then I finally expanded a bit in the right direction to make the find. TFTC,

#20080. Having got up and over the Takaka Hill, and then filled up with fuel and coffee, it was time to head up the Motueka valley en route to St Arnaud. Took us a while to spot the cache, but we got there in the end. TFTC.

01-May-21
Found with StreetWalkerNZ as we made our way from Takaka to St Arnaud on yet another lovely spring day.
We had just stopped for a coffee in Riwaka, so you'd think with caffeine levels at an optimal levels would have made for a quick find but no, this took a while to spot. In the end I located, and SW retrieved. TFTC.

I did work experience here when it was the DSIR while I was at high school and that was the last time I've been out this way. Good co-ordinates made for a quick find. The cache had a little water in it but the logbook was all good. A quick dry up and I was on my way. Thanks bumandworker.

11-Nov-19
The morning rain meant that SJT_NZ had some chores to do in the observatory and I spent the morning solving a few of the puzzles in my 'trouble folder'. So when SJT_NZ said he was off caching in the afternoon I thought I'd tag along. This was a quick find and no one out and about. Cache in good order, thanks b&w for the cache

10-Nov-19
A quick pause with Tregearp whilst on our way to the Brooklyn Domain for the loop track and a clutch of caches. This one was quickly found with everything in mint condition. Signed log and replaced as found. Thanks B&W for another cache.

10-Nov-18
The school up the road was having a book fair on so all the cars parked along the side of the road gave me some cover while the grab took place. Cheers

After a really neat long weekend Caching in and around Collingwood it was time to start heading home.
As I took the Riwaka bypass I remembered that there were some new caches in this area.
Turned the GPS and this one popped up. Well it would be rude not to.
Called by for the quick find and sign.

20-Nov-16
Today I had some time for a trip to Mot and the Mot valley to find some of the caches that have popped up in that part of the world recently. Who would have thought all that research was going on here? TFTC, Biggles.

18-Nov-16
Enjoyed the drive, nice area
Very clever hide
Thank you for the cache

16-Nov-16
Oh research still happens here - - - including hop research. That's interesting. Thanks too for the extra info kiwimonkey. Spotting the cache was a bit of a challenge but got there in the end. TFTC Smile.

02-Nov-16
Another drive through the Lewis Pass between Takaka and Christchurch, this time heading back south after a short trip home to spend time with family. The plan for today was to knock over a whole lot of caches in the northern end of the drive. I was also pleased to be able to get a smiley for a few caches that have left me stumped previously. Started off a sunny day, looked to be great for driving, but the rain started somewhere north of Springs Junction and didn't end up stopping. TFTC (3257)

26-Oct-16
Over in Motueka this afternoon to catch up with a friend over from Jurian Bay for her Mum's funeral. So round here after that to tick off another day. Took me longer than it should to spot it. TFTC

24-Oct-16
After a false start with technology, teamwork from the SoBad team gave us the find - which seems approropriate near a Research area. Mrs S sorted out where the cache was likely to be and spotted it - SoBad retrieved it - Mrs S signed the log with the pen SoBad had as hers just ran out of ink - Sobad returned it as requested.
We are sure research takes longer but were happy to be brief as a car went past just as we were about to leave.
Thanks.

Workmate helped me look this morning before work... at the research orchard. Cache is in sight of blackcurrant breeding program, and not far up the road you can see the blueberries. Deeper into the site is apples, pears, kiwi fruit, raspberries boysenberries blackberries and hops. We're stringing the hops today, and training them soon. A full time hop chemist will analyse the thousands of varieies and an on site micro brewery makes a taste from the potential winners.
A good hide in an area a bit light on caches. Thanks very much!

16-Oct-16
Had to head out this way so did a quick drive by. Used to live very near to here. TFTC

16-Oct-16
Just ducked out to grab a couple of caches for the day. Didn't get as many as planned as high muggle concentration in some areas today. This was the first of a few.

16-Oct-16
FTF at 12.30 We just beat A & G another good cache from B & W. TFTC.

16-Oct-16
I remember when this was the Hop research facility many moons ago.
The cache took a few minutes to hunt down but Hazedarus obviously had his eyes open wider than I did and found it.
Thank you bumandworker.

16-Oct-16
The coords were so good we first looked around them rather than at the spot and couldn't find the cache. A quick look at the the spot that the GPS indicated had it sorted. Thank you bumandworker
