My first couple of loops of the tree combined with some scratching around proved unsuccessful but with one last desperate attempt the cache was located. I moved to the picnic table to extract the inner container and sign the log to avoid spending too much time at GZ. With this completed it was a casual walk back to GZ and the cache was replaced with some camo before continuing on my way. TFTC

23-Mar-24
I was a little early for my meet up with Brissy Cat at Whites Hill, so decided to look for this one as it was on the way. There were a few muggles walking by, but once they had passed by, it didnt take long to see the cache but I couldnt get the container out. I found a tott in my car to help me remove it and then needed another to remove the log sheet. Signed log and replaced as found. Tftc

31-Jan-24
I came back to have another go at this tricky cache today. There was much less mulch as it has all been washed downhill over the last year. This made it much easier to search. It still took me a really long time to find it but eventually I uncovered it. Then the challenge of extracting the log began, which as others have said is probably more difficult than finding the cache. I had to try several tools from my car before I managed to get it out and sign it.Thanks chasingadventures for the tricky cache hide! It's nice to turn this sad face to a smilie.

A lot of mulch has been placed over the tree roots here. I poked and dug around for about 10min but couldn’t find anything.

09-Dec-22
I took one side of the tree, and The Marble took the other and, as per usual, she picked the correct side and soon had the cache found. Thanks chasingadventures

22-Nov-22
Took a bit of searching to find this one, the fresh leaves on the ground made it a bit difficult! Tftc Smile

11-Oct-22
This afternoon, I parked on the southern side of the CBD to catch up with karicka for a walk in Whites Hill Reserve. After then going for a drive with karicka, we departed ways and I headed west through Holland Park, Annerley and Dutton Park, to then attend an orienteering Night Nav West End activity.

There were a couple of muggles using the nearby playground, but after searching the other side of the tree out of view, I soon found the prized cache for a quick find. The cache container and logbook were in good shape. Thanks a muggle no more for the cache placement, and chasingadventures for its ongoing maintenance.

Out this way for an event and had an hour to spare.
Was concerned as I pulled up as there was a mum and daughter playing in the park. But I quickly spied the cache and thanks to the tree was hidden out of view. Quick sign of the log and replaced as found.

Glad to find this one today in good condition, tftc chasingadventures!

When we jumped out of the car our daughter did a fast loop of the tree and told us the cache wasn’t immediately visible. That’s the problem with youth - they just expect everything to happen for them so quickly or they can just order Uber Eats on their phone.

In fact after her first loop she was off to the playground and left it for her mother and father to deal with. It would not have surprised us if she had posted on Instagram how lame her parents were while she waited.

Thankfully I was a bit more patient and uncovered the hide. Sure I might have had to use some elbow grease to uncover it, but I’m sure she had to use some finger grease on her phone to post about it. tftc

An early mark from work and a couple of hours to kill before school pickup sees me driving over to the Southside to finish off the mimosa series of caches and a few as I passed by.

The mimosa series was of particular interest as it fills in some older caches that I have been targeting. It was a great series and one that kept me entertained and took me to a lot of different areas and unusual spots, thank you.

With the series finished I searched to see what else was around the area. With time ticking away I saw 4 nice little trads that I could quickly grab on the way back. This was one of those; I parked right next to the cache and walked over, found the cache very easily due to the hint. With the log signed and cache replaced as found, I was off to the next one. Thanks for placing this one here.

I found it, but so hav ants....had to blow out them & their eggs to access log....& they were not impressed..Anyway, T4TC:-)

23-Sep-21
Easy find in a small and quiet suburban park that I would not have known about if the cache hadn’t brought me here.

08-Sep-21
After work i decided to find a few smileys around this area and i was very pleased. I am loving this series and at GZ i spotted a familiar hide. Thanks for all the fun

28-Aug-21
This one seems to be a bit elusive and it’s got some unloved days on it. It’s in the tree with the tendrils and the cache is based at its roots. On the park side. Happy caching!!

06-Jan-21
Said the most spectacular tree....I thought it was the other one. Nice find Smile

This was a quick park and grab. Nobody around in the park and we soon found what shouldn't be there. Thank you Chasingadventures.

23-Jun-20
First signing the new log. I did have to wait for some skateboarding kids to move along. One of them had their board stuck in the tree. I wonder what the story behind that was.

04-Jun-20
Finally found this on on my 5th attempt. Don't know why it took me this long as this time it was obvious! Funny how sometimes you interpret a clue completely differently on different days.
Thanks for the recent maintenance. I actually found the old log lying on the ground nearby so picked it up. I've kept it in case it is supposed to be in the cache, I walk past often.

30-May-20
Log replaced. Recommend BYO tweezers and pen . Beautiful day at the park today with no one about! ️

28-May-20
This geocacher reported that the logbook is full.

Decided to go down to this one from the last and attempt a search by moonlight.

Think I got lucky. Spotted the sneaky hide within a few seconds using a torch. Nice park and impressive trees.

Loved that one. Really cute. Thanks. Out and about after 15 days holed up during Covid19 pandemic.

31-Mar-20
I accidentally logged this as found instead of the one I was at a few streets away. I was too eager and looking ahead to the next one. So I did not actually find this one. It seems like it is an easy find so I am sad I couldn't find it. I will be back.

17/03/2020 family of ants have moved back in! We clean it out but perhaps a new spot is needed ? TFTC

18-Jan-20
I was in the area as I just finished work for the day and thought I’d grab the closest cache and it just so happened to be this one.

Found the cache pretty quickly after a brief look around, but once I had the container in hand and opened it I was greeted by a nest of ants who decided to make a home on the container (Sorry ants, but you have to go) So I gave it a good clean out and trying to avoid being attacked by the ants.

All good though, cache is clean, back in its hiding spot and ready to be found.

Find #566 - TFTC

***COs- catching up on a significant logging backlog stretching back a number of years.??
Please note- Logging your cache on the date I had been there, not the day I'm logging. Cheers??***

Had been on an errand in the area so stopped to find this one. A furtive poke n scratch had my paws on the prize.
TFTC??

No luck on this one, had a pretty decent look before some muggles rocked up with their offspring. I shall be back.

With only one place the cache could be, Ghostgums and I took a side each and worked our way around. The container is well placed and is unlikely to be spotted by muggles, which is handy given the actual location of GZ. Wink

With the container in hand, I etched out names in the log, tucked it back as found and we moved on to the last cache for today.

Cheers Chasingadventures.

Found while out and about with Gunnie69.

With the jewels all found, we had the information we needed to get the vault open.

Thanks for the cache and hunt. Big Grin

I was out on an early morning cache hunt this morning and this was the last one before heading home for coffee for me and breakfast for the All good here. The plovers were none too happy with our presence, but I found the hide quickly, signed the log and replaced as found. TFTC

Out on a maintenance run with Bodhi. All good here. Left a little natural camo on top . Happy caching !

03-Jun-19
To another park, and this time it was a quick find!
A couple of families playing on the playground equipment, but none seemed at all interested in our search.
Thanks

As we pulled up and proceeded to tree, there was man outside a yard here who was openly looking at us so we 'posed' for a few photos until he lost interest . It was a quick grab of cache as we'd noticed it on arrival
Log signed while we sat at nearby table and replaced cache in a stealthy manner.
Thanks for the cache.
