Found the tree hut. Found a rock with hollow area under it. But no cache. Wonder if its been muggled or we were cache blind. We did spend 10 minutes searching all around objects that could be connected to the hint.
A quick find in a new area for us. We're out exploring with the kids on a nice winter day before the forecast rain.... TFTC
Nice tree house - bigger than any thing I have built. I made sure no one was there watching me find the cx. TFTC.
Distinctive farming aroma. Dozens of moogles watched with relatively few comments. TFTC
I dropped a travel bug off here. Thank you Sidewaze for this cache.

Found with NZDi. Our grandson is having his first birthday later in the month and NZDi couldn't find what she wanted back home in Blenheim so we decided to come across the hill to see what nelson had to offer... not a lot more than Blenheim actually. Later in the morning we checked out one of the local caravan retailers for a possible future upgrade of our mobile geocaching base, then had lunch. This afternoon we grabbed a quick selection of caches along a section of the Great Taste Trail on our MTBs which we brought across the hill with us.
Pretty much all of our logs were signed KM & ND to conserve space. This was our sixth find of the day as per the hint. Although I had to search three stays before c:geo settled down and indicated the correct one.

Just enough time for a quick detour and look for this one as well. There was even time to stop at the Tasman organic vege stop and get some yummy veges.
Quick find here, thanks to last finders. New dry log. Interesting tree house indeed. Couldn't approach more but looks interesting even from the fence.

Thanks for putting out this container for woolwood9 and I to find!
SL **tm/ww NZ** (may just be a black smudge on the many wet or plastic logs)
*Soon located, plenty more light rain today*
Wasn't expecting to find as last logs are DNF, however a bit of a search around found the container well away from GZ. We replaced the soaked log and returned it to hint location.

Nice to be away on another geocaching trip with tmann421, travelling to a few places in the upper South Island.

On another Adventure with Missnboyz. NO cache for us today. Either its elusive or its gone?
I disabled my caches during Level 4 lockdown to encourage everyone to do the right thing. Now we’re moving to Level 3 I’m going to leave the decision to search for a cache or not to each individual. Remember you still need to stay in your bubble and a bit of hand sanitiser before and after handling a cache would be appropriate. Keep yourself and others safe.

A nice quick find here, nice little hut too.
Day 2 of my weekend in Nelson, and my plan was to find enough caches to get my find numbers for at least two COs over the 100 mark. Got that goal, so thanks very much SoBads and Sidewaze for all the fun and caches.

Out for a morning bike ride on the cycle trail. Leaped sideways a little to make a leap day grab. Thanks for the cache.
A slight detour on my bike ride, and yes the hut is well worth the visit
Thanks Sidewaz
Thanks Sidewaz
The tree house has not been used for while but it still looks great. Easy find, thanks
Ventured down Cotterell Road this afternoon. An easy find in between dodging the odd cyclist. Nice afternoon to be out enjoying the trails. Had my fill this morning. An impressive hut. TFTC
Getting a few caches on a day when want to up the numbers. Nice to see an old tree house like this. TFTC
Out for the day with Pomsabroad down the coast track to Rabbit Island. Eleventh find of the day
Reminds me of my good old days of building huts. Kids these day wouldn’t even be allowed to thanks to osh and councils TFTC
Today we are a caching team divided by the Whangamoa. Two of us remain in Nelson beavering away at a couple of Puzzles, some Cycle-way caches and a bunch of Park’n’Grabs.
We'd visited the beginning of this road a couple of weeks back but this time it was time to explore further.
First stop, this quick find. Everything's in good knick.
Thanks Sidewaze!

SJT_NZ and I ended up in Welly for the working week so on our return prior to tackling the weekend chores we needed to blow some steam off, and what better way than a blast on our wonderful cycleways. Not a huge number of people about, and the local cafe owner did say the fires have put off a few people. Grabbed this cache finally as we'd missed it many times previously and only realised once we'd got over the bridge. Today a quick find, not much of the namesake left but cache all nice and dry and in good order, thanks Sidewaze for another great cache on the GTT.
Tregearp and I had passed past this one numerous times and for all those reasons of 'other life' never managed to take the time to locate and log this one. Today we made the time and were happy to convert the unsolved icon into a smilie. Thanks yet again for another Sidewaze cache.
In town on a wee family summers holiday visiting family. Grew up in Richmond - gosh the years have changed it! Out this evening to find a few caches as I've been a bit lacking.
Growing up a couple mates at college lived out here - wouldn't surprise me if one of them started the hut?! Quick find and sign on at dusk...about time to head back before it gets tooooo late. Cheers.

Yeah last one for 2018!!!! Am staying just around the corner with family so this one just had to be done. TFTC and happy New Year.
TFTC. Lovely & cool down here. Cache had escaped into the paddock but nestled back in now
Taybeedragon and I are in Nelson taking some stress off a later trip to Christchurch to hunt for the elusive turtle. I thought this section of the cycle way might be a could place to find the dragon that hopefully will give us some tips to finding that turtle. Well, we found that dragon, but the turtle, as expected, is proving to be a problem. I don't think it is here in Nelson.
Dropped in a pathtag.

The Seagnoid, Toby and I are off to Nelson to hopefully find some hidden creatures along our way. Its an early start out of Blenheim just after 6am. Weather forecast is for rain , but its stayed mostly fine for our cycle along the estuary and back to Toby on our trusty steeds Jack and Jill. Time for lunch, then on our way again.
Hey that tree hut looks neat. The cache name now makes sense. A quick snag and tag here. Cheers

Very cool, I remember noticing this a couple of years ago when jumping onto the GTT. Quiet shady spot with a breeze today, just what was needed to escape the heat temporarily.
Thanks very much!
Thanks very much!
Cycling from Mapua (ferry) via GTT on a very hot Summer day. A rather biggish hut, hard to see because of the foliage. Nice to be in the shade. Tftc
Almost forgot to log. Picked up while out for a pleasant bike ride to Rabbit Island. TFTC Sidewaze
A great ride on the trail today, although the headwind on the outward journey to Rabbit Island didn't help the attitude of Master Beanso however a glimpse of the really cool tree hut did make him smile for a moment! TFTC
We found this geocache while riding out from home to Rabbit Island on the Great Taste Trail. Last find of the day. Find #355
So we need one more cache for the magic 1500 and this is it. We had just tried a different one in Richmond but were muggled out so had to find another one on the way home. I remember coming this way to Rabbit Island once upon a time, then the 'new' road was put in and a solid bridge. Anyway cache found and duly signed. tftc
Biking along, I missed the turn off to this, so did a big road loop, never mind, I got a Nice One on the way TFTC
What an awesome hut it would have been in its day,you can see kids having a lot of fun playing in it. Thanks for placing this cache Sidewaze
A quick side diversion up here nd parked before the end of the road to avoid any squelching wheels- stuck car embarrassment. Headed over for a Q E F as per the hint and glanced at the nearby walkway start. I have couple of previously solved multis down that way to find. But not today. T F T C Sidewaze.
A trip over the hill has been planned for a couple of weeks now, and the threatened rain was not to dampen my spirits, nor curtail my caching options. Should probably have built an ark but the Civic coped admirably with the downpour and damp roads. The thing is with rain, once you're wet, you can't get any wetter, or so I thought. Have just about dried out now, many hours later! Just the 2 DNFs for the day and a pleasing 18 finds so pleased with that number

On a misty day we took a bike ride to Rabbit Island to find some geocaches. Tftc!
Just a slight detour on my way home. Very muddy on the road/track but not enough to deter me. Bet kids had fun in this tree house once-upon-a-time. TFTC
Mrs. WW found this one while Mr. WW checked out the tree house , thanks Sidewaze for taking us down here. would have gone for a walk further on but it was starting to rain.
I always wanted a tree house as a kid. Never did get one though.... Thanks Sidewaze!!
Yes remember this road from my young days only way out to Rabbit Island, just as well there is a new road/bridge as with todays high tide you would not get out there. TFTC
Not enough time to stray too far today, so this one it was to be.
I've parked here on at least three occasions in recent times - always to then walk on to find caches nearby. This time, stopping here was almost a Park and Grab.
A neat tree house for sure - lucky kids.
#1419
PS. The only pen I had with me failed. I will return to sign properly in the next day or so.

Found on a sunny new years day bike ride from Stoke to Rabbit Island. Looks like a cool tree hut - if only was a bit (lot) younger !
Many memories were shared as we were in this area today - I grew up in the area and spent many happy days on the O'Connors farm tftc
Out for a bike ride after waiting all day hoping for a few new caches to appear but none eventuated. Well that is until I got here and checked my GPS/phone and saw two new ones had been published with one called Monaco something. A lot of good that is I thought when stuck out here on my bike. Oh well just get on with finding this cache then and enjoy that. Which I did and then thought I may as well continue as planned to my turn round point at Rabbit Island rode and stop at the Nieman Creek multi on the way home. That was the plan after all so no point changing it now. I'll have to stop here again though next time because with everything else I didn't look for the tree hut.
Thanks Sidewaze for the cache.

Quick grab on our way to complete a few others. Thanks Sidewaze. Also retrieved TB.
Went for a lunch time drive with Fozzie the geodog to find a couple of newish caches. This was the first one I came to. No problems finding the cache or spotting the tree house. TFTC, Biggles.
It was just a very short detour to find this cache on the way back from Rabbit Is this morning. We soon had the log signed and cache returned as found.
Thank you Sidewaze.
Thank you Sidewaze.
Been this way several times and have never noticed the tree hut.
Good spotting.
There is a very happy wee blackberry sprouting right next to the hide. It could well become a prickly find this summer.
Discovered a couple of tb's.

I have passed here often enough both for work and pleasure but never noticed the hut. It must have been quiet a residence in its time. We choose not to spend to much time at GZ as the landowner was spreading liquid manure. Took TB. Thank you Sidewaze
Found the cache and the lovely hut. We placed a very special coin trackable in here.If you pick this up please take it somewhere special as it has travelled a very long way.We picked it up on our travels to Vancouver Island.TFTC
I figured this should be a nice quick park and grab on a wet grotty Sunday afternoon - good choice. It was blowing a gale out here this afternoon so I wouldn't fancy being up in the hut today even though it looks sturdy. TFTC #9596
Was hoping to find a blank log here but humans worker beat me ! Anyway, First day find tftc, very nice treehut!
Mrs SoBad did a Sidewaze step from the car for this, the first for the afternoon. Saw the warning and parked a 100m away from GZ. Saw the tree house as well. Much flasher than then one she and the local children tried to build many years ago but we still had a lot of fun with it.
Thanks.
Thanks.
