Up in this area for a few days and having a great time walking and geocaching. We walked the Reotahi coastal walk then climbed up here and walked along the ridge back to Little Munroe Bay. A fantastic afternoon - the title of this cache is a great hint. Claiming this cache for Ramblers Reward GC2XBA7. TFTC
This morning, I set out to complete the Mount Aubrey walkway, leaving from the carpark that we'd stayed overnight in the campervan. After the long search at GC43W5P, I was delighted to make an instant find here. Coordinates bang on. Log dry, all good. Tftc!
Lol, was too busy huffing & puffing, so passed a couple caches on the way up, apparently... then the battery was going flat so app acting up, so saw GZ & thought " that'd be a great spot for a cache" but walked a hundred+ metres when I realised there Was a cache up there! So had to go back up hill. Thanks for the workout
The dragon was soon spotted, and happily presented us with the cache.
There was a cockroach with the cache, so I'm assuming that was the dragons snack. We left it for him to enjoy later
Thanks for setting this up

1367. 3:15 pm. Glad to have an easier find after leaving the last two without a signature. TFT(Mt. Aubrey)C.
Once the GPS settled down was a quick find. That was a very good hide!! Doing the walk with some friends and they were very impressed!! TFTC 2 October 2021 3:18 pm
This was an awesome cache to find! We had lots of fun finding this geocache, can’t wait for others to discover it!
Enjoying the walk up here this afternoon, and a couple of nice caches along the way as well. Nice quick find here, cheers
First time climbing my Aubrey, that was a little steeper than I expected.
Great place for a cache.

Found on our walk from little munro bay. Walked straight past the gz without seeing it, (battery was running low so didn't want to use it to locate area) but after we realised we had gone too far we turned around and was easy to spot gz on the way back down. Thanks for the hide
No problem spotting this from the path. I tried to log it and replace before Antnich caught me up but he rounded the corner as I snapped it closed!!! Great cache! I love this type, so have an FP and TFTC
I love caches like this, and I love it when there is a creative name as well. Back in the UK this type of hide is extremely common but not seen so often New Zealand. Great fun always.
Found it quickly by regarding the cache name that fits perfectly! Thanks for the cache!
Saw the likely spot to search from the track and soon had cache in hand. Clever hid. TFTC
Nice find on our hike. Fortunately, just made it back to the car in time before it started to rain. TBs out. Tftc!
Another find by the muggles in our group who by now were quickly becoming excited by geocaching. This was a great hiding place and also cache number 2000 for me! Tftc.
After our disappointment at not finding the previous cache on the Mt Aubrey walk, we were so pleased to find this one! Very clever with the name of this cache and lovely cache design. TFTC!
How many times have we walked up Mount Aubrey!! Just the other day actually. Have done all the "hills" around here several times in the last week. One more time to get this cache that we missed. Wasn't nearly as bad as the first time we did this walk but that's because we have over achieved lately. Good hide in a high muggle area at this time of year. Thanks for the cache G Works
Thanks GTworks for a great cache enjoyed the trek and the variety of vistas along the track ....breath taking .....your camo is awesome and I really appreciated the effort you have put into this cache
The kids and I came down from Okaihau for the Reotahi snorkel day. We saw lots of little fish in the reserve and we really enjoyed the swim. We then walked the Mt Aubrey track from the Reotahi carpark. It was a hard walk going mostly uphill to here. Great views along this walkway and the dragons mouth was aptly named. A well hidden cache, thanks
I joined up with hotrodpete this hot summer's afternoon to take a hike around Mt Aubrey and look for the caches around there. I've only been up Mt Aubrey once before, and that was just up and down from the summit, so it was nice to walk the full loop today. As we approached GZ one object stood out and we inspected it straight way, revealing the cache! A nicely hidden cache, TFTC!
On a "sea side cache clean-up" with Vistra today covering the Mt Aubrey and Motukiore Island caches. The last couple of caches on Mt Aubrey / Reotahi along with this new cache hidden recently were the first targets for the mission.
Knowing that GTWorks like to make his hides a little bit more than the standard "click-clak" container Vistra and I were prepared for a bit of a search. However it turned out that this wouldn't be necessary and the cache was soon in hand.

Yay, my very first FTF and it was cache number 111 for me, so all the "Ones" have lined up. Maybe I should buy a lotto ticket...!!!
Really clever cache.. Just glad I didn't have to venture right to the very back of the dragon's mouth to find it.
And a warning for future finders - once found, remove the lid only, as the dragon may bite, if you try to take the base as well...!!
Left another fish to school up with the one already there.
