Logs
Such a beautiful night for caching. Found this one quick and managed to sign the log on teeny small bit. Needs new log. Tftc
Nanos, they certainly put my fingers through a workout. Log is now full. Thanks for placing
Nice quick find! Tried to be as discreet as possible and waited until there was as little traffic as possible to retrieve it. I took the cache back to the car to sign the log then returned it to its hiding spot!! TFTC
Out for a day trip with JTreeTrack2 and this was our next stop. Another one in the series. Log is a little wet, but still able to sign. I like these containers...when I find...not so much as when I don't.Thanks for another. McPhail family...
A lovely cloudy day to head out for some caching. I had arranged with Sol de lune before we were going to the Canberra Mega, that this week would be a good week to head out together and get some caches. So we headed out in the Geo Tucson, with some Easter eggs as snacks to try and get some caches between Ballarat and Geelong. A busy road yet we could find the cache. The log was wet, we could still write on it. Logged as JTT2.Thanks for placing this cache McPhail family
We had already found a few caches today when we got near here and decided to give our nemesis from years ago another go.This time, GZ seemed to be 60 metres away from where we searched in the past. Not only that, it was also easy to find and to reach. Can't believe we are finally removing the blue face from our map! TFTC
Last find for today this was a quick find and sign of the tinniest nano ever. TFTC
Turned the frowny to a smiley sorry cache owner with the confusion on the maintenance log last time round. Haven't done it before. Tftc
This was one of the smallest caches Ive ever seen. It was hidden too high for me, luckily the Walking Ladder was at hand, but it still took ages to find. Then we had a big struggle to get the log out. I took a small bit of the new log off to enable it to get in and out of its host without effort or damage. Thanks for the find in this exposed location.
After finding the old cache squashed in the ground a new one has been sourced and now been replaced.
I appreciate the good intentions of 'steveanco ' in bringing the situation regarding this cache to the attention of the geocaching community.Logging information regarding a cache is certainly to be encouraged and is a great way to alert the community to an issue with a cache. However, logging a 'Owner Attention Requested' log on the cache page is the preferable first step. **Please only use the 'Reviewer Attention Requested' log when the CO has not responded to an 'Owner Attention Requested' log or if there are serious problems with the cache or its location.**Posting a 'Owner Attention Requested' log on the cache page notifies both the geocaching community as well as the cache owner. This log adds an attribute to the page (looks like a spanner with a red background) to alert other geocachers of the needed repairs. Owner Attention Requested logs are not forwarded to reviewers, but they are the first step in the Archive process. If the geocache has not been found for a reasonable amount of time **and** the cache owner has not reacted to an 'Owner Attention Requested' log, then that is time to post a 'Reviewer Attention Requested' log on the listing. Please read the Help Centre article: [**When a cache needs maintenance**](https://www.geocaching.com/help/index.php?pg=kb.chapter&id=107&pgid=434)**As recent logs indicate this cache may have some ongoing issues, it is being disabled in the hope that the CO will attend to the situation.**###**They need to respond to this request within 14 days (by 7th December), please. If it is not possible to attend to the cache by that date, please post a Write Note log indicating a date when you hope to attend to the cache**###
Cache is no longer there seems to be sign has recently been replaced. Multiple dnf over the last 12 months and no action has been taken.
Gave up on this one pretty quickly... hasn't been found in over a year and the sign we suspect it's on is broken and covered in spiders We will be keen to try and again when it isn't spider season
So after discovering this geocaching thing we set off to search for this one. Miss 6 navigated us to the spot and we certainly found plenty of cobwebs but nothing in them. Our first DNF - we will have to have a look when we are out and about again.
We headed up to Ballarat today to see Mr Dromaniax's parents and decided to grab a cache on the way.
We were enjoying the beautiful weather and had decided to take a roundabout way to Ballarat through Bannockburn and Rokewood.
The cache is in excellent t condition
Thank you for this cache McPhail family.

Got a day out caching today and have explored around Bannockburn with the kids. So small but an east find on the way into town.
Finding the cache was the easy part. Trying to get the log out and signing was the headache. CO stated a paper clip might help... I think open cache, set it on fire, blow away the ash, get a new log sheet and replace!! ( Don't do that people). Finally got log out and signed a D.H. TFTC
Found today at 1249.
Thought I'd ticked this one off ages ago. Oops.

Briefly disabled to perform intricate log book replacement "surgery". Hubby found pretty quickly thankfully. When we say nano, did we mention that it's one of the smallest cache we have ever seen??!!
A fresh log book now in the cache waiting for cacher scribbles. Make sure it's really small writing! You might also need a tool to help extract the log. A paperclip will do the trick .
This was the first of the day as we drove into town. Somehow it took us a whole ten minutes to find it and then open it. So simple, yet...
Thanks, McPhail family.

I first cached in Bannockburn in 2013, and last cached here in 2016 when getting a FTF on the "Twelve Days of Caching" series. Almost five years later now and I returned with Jacko and the boys to finish the series. It was an enjoyable afternoon driving and walking around the area. One cache was unavailable so I'll have to return for it. We ended the day with - coincidentally - 12 caches found and no DNFs.
Thanks, McPhail family.

Spent a while here searching, was where we thought it would be, just hadn't felt hard enough! Sky is clearing now thankfully.

Trevelling to Ararat for a few days via the backroads to grab some AL's and some scattered caches as I pass
SO - with the prerequisite coffee and car fueled, I headed off to grab a few remaining caches in this area.
Thanks for the cache McPhail family. Appreciate your efforts.

I need to get into the McPhail family head, that’s the second DNF I had of theirs today. I cannot believe I didn’t find the cache, how can it be so hard on one thing? But at least a few previously haven’t spotted it first time either.
In the area with Rebel Acts to put some smiles on the map, I haven't been around here in many years.
Found after a short search, cheers for the cache and the opportunity for some caching fun.

Another day out caching with My caching partner Omegaman1971, today we were joined by The Empire and Snap Happy to tackle a few caches, the Cluedo series being our main area for the day, lots of fun and laughter was had long the way.
This was one of the caches we did on our travels.
Thanks McPhail family for the cache.

Having a drive around this lovely little town, thank you for placing these caches for us to enjoy. SL TFTC
Well that was fun, a bit quicker then i expected, my partner had it in his hands quick smart! Thank you.
Well, I logged this as a DNF almost three years ago! Finally got back there today to make a find.
Found this one with PapaGrouch and SciFiRulz as team nicnax. Stopped on our way home from an event in Point Lonsdale. This was my second attempt with a smiley as the prize. TFTC
Found as Nicnax with PapaGrouch and MazzyMay. On the way home from an event we stopped to find this one. PapaGrouch made quick work of the find. TFTC
On the way home from a day trip to the beach, we had to get some caches! This one was on our list of "not getting too far off track" caches! Pulled up at GZ and not too long after had cache in hand. OMG, what a teeny tiny log! Feels a lot smaller than the standard nano logs but then again, all nanos are teeny tiny! Signed log and returned! Thanks for bringing us here! TFTC SL CIGC
Found while in Geelong for the evening event with my Clarmensma family (becca85, GemmaSistema, boo09, Ad & Luke). TFTC!
Finally got this one. A quick last cache on the drive home. Many thanks.
A last minute decision with becca85 was made to gather our kids together (AdamSistema, LukeSistema, neisha07 & boo09) and reform TeamClarmensma to hit up Geelong for a few quick caches targeting those which are harder to retrieve during the day.

This one was missing at our last visit but found quickly tonight.
The appearance of a spider slowed down the retrieval process though.
Our last for the night on our way home.
Apparently we'd not had enough of each other all day on Friday, Team Clarmensma again teamed up (myself, GemmaSistema, boo09, neisha07 & the Sistema boys) for a last minute drive to Waurn Ponds and an evening caching around Geelong.
Got home just after midnight due to caching for the 2nd night in a row.

Everyone needs to cache for at ,east 12 days or 9. Thanks for giving me 9 days of pleasure here Enjoying this series which I am stringing out Thanks McPhaill Family
Firstly, apologies for the lateness in logging.
Despite my tardiness, you can be assured I enjoyed each and every cache found and not found.
Apologies if this is a generic log, my memory is good, but not that good.
On this day I was out with Sorceysal and Tessie the geodog
Thanks again McPhails

Out and about with Bogonghazy and geodog Tess for a days caching around the Bannockburn and Inverleigh area.
This was probably the tiniest cache I have found so far. Well spotted by Bogonghazy. Thanks McPhail family

Enjoying a days caching with Dippa46 toward the 100 for this months challenge; the cache seems to be missing, we were joined by a fellow cacher who also could not locate the cache even though the placing was known. TFTC
Find No. 2333. Found with FUF009 at 5.23pm.
Well what can we say when FUF009 said it all.
We done a day trip to Geelong, some three hours away, and FUF009 came with us.
Our aim for the day was to do the D2B series plus three other caches close by, then the Shepherd's Road series and Do You Believe In ... Series, to get a total of 75 caches for the day to help us get the Hidden Creatures Souvenirs.
Finishing these three trails earlier than expected we then went on the AB4C series, seeing how we had both worked on these puzzles together. We grabbed a few others along the way and at the end of our caching day in the Geelong area, we had clocked up 100 finds. WOW - This is a first for us and a day that we won't forget.
* We got our first cache at 8.59am and our last cache at 4.55pm.
* We had rain at the start that made the roads muddy and changed the colour of our car from red to brown.
* We stopped twice for eats and cuppas - Lunch at D2B 43 at St.Leonards, on the waters edge then again near AB4C #13 at the dead end road.
* An enjoyable caching day was had by all of us despite the weather, plus the day was made less time consuming with well maintained caches therefore no time was wasted on DNF's.
Heading home after a big caching day out, we just had to stop off and find this one seeing how when we were down this way a few weeks ago we had to put a DNF on it. As the owner had replaced it, now was our chance to try and find it. We thought it was going to be another DNF but after the second time of going over where we had already looked we located the hide, somehow signed the log as it was far too small to write on, replaced and now home we go.

Find # 6855
Found with Tyred n Cranky
A day of caching to help out with accumulating enough smileys to try and get closer to the 100 needed for the Hidden Creatures souvenirs.
We started off on the D2B trail where Tyred n Cranky’s Magna changed from a nice red colour to a lovely shade of brown, the true colour for a geocacher's vehicle.
Thankfully the rain had blown away by the time we got down to St Leonards, just leaving the cold wind behind.
After a lunch stop down near D2B #43 we then headed off for the "Shepherd's Road Treasure" series and then to the "Do You Believe In ..." series.
again both the roads added to the colour of Tyred n Cranky’s Magna.
After completing these we realised we had plenty of time left in the day for more and then added to the plans and headed off over to the AB4C puzzle series near Waurn Ponds.
On the way around, for the day, there were a few of extra caches thrown in to the mix, as they were “close by” or on the way.
With a few caches, that took some minutes to locate or get into, But with persistence and patients we managed to make a find on all in the day.
All in all we ended up with a finds totalling just over 100. This is the first time that Tyred n Cranky have made the big 100 in 24 hours. A great fun and memorable day indeed.
We were heading home and needed a couple more for the big numbers. As Tyred n Cranky had DNF'd this one a few weeks ago they wanted to make a find on it now.
I must say it took longer to take the log out than finding the little bliter

After a couple of DNFs I came out to check the state of play. Definitely missing. Replacement will be up and running today.
Another find by the McPhail family.
Another find by the McPhail family.
Replacement cache in place and ready to be found. NOTE: The log is tiny, initials will be fine, you'll also need some tweezers to access.

DNF at 3.55pm.
On our way home from a weekend down in Torquay/Anglesea area to do the G2Anglesea trail and a few others we made a small detour to grab this one but alas it was nowhere to be found.
Our only DNF for the weekend. We looked and looked but unable to locate anything here today.

No luck here today, we even got way out of T1.5 territory by climbing on the car.
A group "Didnt find" today with GemmaSistema, Bec85 and Wozzle68
We had just completed the Geelong 2 Anglesea series and were picking up a few more caches on our way home.
Even when standing on the door of Wozzle68's car we couldn't find this one! Maybe next time.

On our way into Bannockburn to explore the area this was first cab off the rank. Plenty of room to park and after a closer examination the little fellow was found. The log is full so we took a photo instead.
Thanks to McPhail family for placing this cache.

This became our my first find of the day out this way with Square_pegs and it did take a little longer than expected. Nice weather out here too! Thanks McPhail Family.
This one eluded us earlier in 2017 but on our way through to Teesdale. the road was quieter than anticipated so we decided to stop and give this one another crack today.
Last time it was Geomum doing the searching but today it was Geodad's turn to get out of the car and pretend to be on the phone Maybe he doesn't need new glasses after all as he soon had the cache in hand, the log was signed and we were on our way.
Thanks McPhail family

Well, fortunately the road was a little quieter today and it did not take us long to find 'this elusive to us on our last visit' tiny cache in it good hiding spot. The spiders have been busy in this area as expected! Please note that there is room for only one more cacher to log their find.

Had to stop at bannockburn to pick up a washer so why not stop for a few caches too!! Luckily a quick find by crm as it was quite busy along this road
We managed to slip down the coast to attend some of the traditional geofunctions as well as catch up with family.
Time to head for home via Bannockburn but I don't think there will be much time for caching today - just this one. Spotted the little blighter quickly - time to head off though.
It was a fun day - thanks McPhail family

On our way to have lunch with a friend in Geelong we detoured to find some caches - allotting 10 minute for each cache as that is all that time permitted!
No luck with finding this well hidden cache in 10 minutes - will return to try again when we have more time and hope to find it then?
TFTC McPhail family - that we may find next time??

This is our epic **McFail**! Second visit, second DNF ... plus, all the traffic driving past. We did consider contacting Dr Paf, but decided to give it another try next time we are in the area.
McPhail family, we have enjoyed your hides a lot. Thank you for that! Now we hope that one day we will be able to finish off our smilie map of Bannockburn.

We had spent last night in Portarlington on a one-night getaway, so now it was time to cache our way home.
This was meant to be a quick drive by. However with muggle cars appearing all the time and it starting to rain, we resorted to a PAF so we could make a quick grab when no one was passing. TFTC McPhail family.

Well ninth day
of caching was easy enough... except the ugly looking spiders which were very active at night... did not like the light of our torches though.
TFTC and hopefully we will come across some more of the series.
Love your enthusiasm for your new found passion!

First cache for the day and it didn't look good ..... we just didn't have our cache eye open!!!! found it eventually. YFYC
Knew it had to be there, but took quite a while before we found this one. Not a great start to the day. Don't know why we found it so difficult! TFTC
While passing through the area, and with only a few cars on the road we decided to see if we could make this find, we have passed this area many times but never managed to stop, muggle hubby made the find, (he seems to be getting good at this) log signed and replaced in between cars, thanks fro the cache and the fun
Very hard to get a gap in the traffic while I was there. So, I just had to be brave and go for it. Thanks McPhails
I drive past this cache everyday, so I thought it was about time to stop and get it. It was a good challenge to sneakily get the cache in when no cars were coming, but alas, on a busy road the flow of cars was never ending! A quick find. TFTC.
