Logs
Kiwiscot competing in the Ruakaka Surf Life Saving Carnival. Popped over here during some down time to collect our daily cache. Took a few minutes to locate. All good - TFTC
Found it in the neighbourhood on a very sunny day. Log was full, and hard to write on with a pencil. Unfortunately had no paper with me to supply. TFTC
Widened our search area when the GZ indicated by my GPSr failed to present a chace and no hint item. Soon had it in hand though. The log was full but found some sideways space to add our name. Unfortunately, I didn't have any spare logs on me or I would have added one. Thandks for the hide ashanater1.
Found it on a cloudy Sunday while visiting friends in Ruakaka. I spent way too long on the obvious objects before branching out, as per other logs GZ was a long way out. Could the CO please fix this. TFTC
A beautiful sunny morning motivated us to walk along the coast. We also took the chance to look for some boxes. We found this one thanks to the hints only not by coordinates. TFTC.
Took much longer than I thought as went to gz to hunt for a small post...
Luckily I finally saw in Team Welsh log that co ords out .
So then I soon saw several poss hint items and found cache!

Nice quick stop after an awesome day at Moto x nearby. Like other logs the cord's are out. Just use the hint!
The last one for today after enjoying the sunny weather and the beautiful beach. TFTC
Up in the North for 5 days of R&R and looking around. Did this one on our way home and after lunch at a nearby cafe.
Team Welsh and I decided to spend a day cruising the area and grabbing some caches. Thanks.
As others have mentioned the co-ords for this cache are out by about 9-10m, owner may wish to check and update. Cache was located thanks to the hint which was great but accurate co-ords may help reduce damage to the plants in the area.
Use the clue as co-ords are about 7m out. So hot today ! Off for a swim in that cool Surf! TFTC
Our 3rd visit to find this, last night it was dark and we didn't really have suitable torches (and with a previous log stating a wasp nest we decided to search again in the morning. and the time before was last year. Finally when we found we were some 12m away from GZ.
Walked along to GZ ...what a tidy we garden...co --ords had by a splendid tropical plant...but no luck and nothing for a magnet...moved the search area out a bit and soon had the sneaky placement in hand..about 9 odd meters from GZ...thanks Ashanator great placement tftc
Wandered down to this forgotten little garden - quite forlorn. Headed to a likely spot then realised I was not at gz. Back to coordinates but no hint item. Back to original spot and searched then backed off as I found an active wasp nest. Moved along and there was the cache. Thanks for the placement Ashanater1
Our first for 2018! We tried looking for this one a while back, with no luck. Came back for another look. Coords are 11m out. Follow the clue to the small post at GZ. TFTC.
The agapanthus over the fence were in full flower and looked lovely. I'm in the process of taking them out of my garden at the moment and I'm starting to realise how invasive the species really is. I'm sure their roots will help hold the sand in though. The dragon trees were very interesting - yet another tree I didn't know before today. I'm very grateful to the surf club volunteers for all the work they do to keep people safe on our coasts. The cache took a bit of a search before realising the small pole in the hint must be what I thought it was instead of where the GPS told me. I had a lovely day out in this beautiful area today and got 20 caches so I was very pleased with my day out. Thanks for all your efforts placing caches out here for us to find ashanater1
Really cool planting. Found but don't have pen, will try come back and fill log later.
GPS had us slightly askew nowhere near any short posts but the clue got us back on track. TFTC.
First one for us in Ruakaka on our holiday travelling north. We thought we would come down here for a look and get a couple of caches at the same time. TFTC
Took a bit of a search for this one with the two granddaughters! Our coordinates about ten mtrs out but commen sense and the hint sent us to the hiding place. TFTC
The coordinates led me to the middle of the garden. That was wrong. I followed the clue and found it.
The coordinates put us in the middle of a beautiful dragon tree. We decided to ignore them and follow the clue. Quick find approximately 8m away.
Out at the Waipu car show today, so a good excuse to pick up some caches afterward on the way back to town.
There was nothing that really mached the clue at indicated GZ, so widened the search a bit and soon located the cache.

Took a short while to find. Decided to look for something that wasn't there so back on my original heading and found it in the second place I looked.
Took us a while but found it in the end. Didn't know what "mag" meant but once we found the cache all was clear. TFTC
FITW FMZ and Gorby
We teamed up for the FTFs and came all the way to Whangarei from Auckland. We are almost tired and even the party near the parking couldn't turn us back from finding this one. I would suggest every one to go by the hint rather the coordinates. So happy to be welcomed by a blank log, joint [FTF] for us. tftc ashanater1.

I parked up near the surf club, people were running in and running out, loud music going and I was veeeery tempted to join them! My partners in crime saw them too and we almost convinced ourselves to go home much later today after a party at the surf club. But we didn't; a {FTF} attempt was on our mind instead. So we parked up and FMZ talked us into walking to the cache instead of driving to it. It was only 100m or so, but when you're tired, every meter counts you know! So when we got to GZ, a good search was put into place. GZ was where I was searching but about 13m away was where the cache was. Harsha found this for us this early morning. So that was cool, thanks ashanater for the 3 caches! We're tired, but there is one more possible ftf to go and get in Whangarei. So a group find with funkymunkyzone and harisree.

Found with Gorby and Harisree while a big party was going on at the surf lifesaving club. Nice spot and a reasonably quick find here. Another blank log so another joint (FTF) for us. FTF #1995 TFTC!!!
