We are from Switzerland...We do houssitting all over the world and this time we are back in Tasmania the second time ...We traveled around here 14 years ago...its nice to be back and this time even better with geocaching ..Today Nggi2 and I went out to make out of green ones yellow Smilies on this PTPT track. But we were not able to achieve our goal ,because many caches are missing..and the ones we found we had to search very long or we had to dig them out. We did 15750 steps in 5 hours and ended up with 5 DNF`s and luckily 10 Smilies ...and one write note because that cache needs a higher T ..so we tried a few metres up through the scrubs and gave in.But we enjoyed manly this lovely nature track the tiny thwarfland and the scenery and the fern trees . yea the big fat trees fascinated me very much special theyr roots and hight. We also spoted four Wallabys . Thank you for placing this Dsli (Dsli means little box in Swiss)oinkoinkJust to say to the cache owners of this PTPT track ..it is only fun when the caches are beeing looked after..even when there are no DNFs.. I`m a cache owner in Switzerland and I check my Caches all the time special after rainy days ...and in the forest as wild animals pinch them too sometimes. But thank you to the Cache owners that do look after theyr caches to keep the PTPT trail alive.Text at holiday home
Heute bei schnstem Wetter im khlen Wald einige Caches der PTPT Wanderung gemacht. Die einen schnell, die andern etwas lnger gesucht und einige gar nicht gefunden. Besten Dank frs legen und pflegen.
Almost a year since we found our first cache, we returned to the place where we found it - the Pipeline track, to try and find some more along this amazing trail. After turning off to our planned parking area too early and driving partway up the mountain, then turning back and going past it, we started walking on the Fern Glade track, where we found one cache at about 1pm. From there we walked to the Pipeline track where we found ten, and then detoured to the silver falls track on the way back to the car, where we found one. Twelve finds in total, our sixth for the day was also our 600th cache.
360 days ago, the day we started caching, this was the first cache that we looked for with toptat who introduced us to the game. We spent ten minutes looking when one of us spotted something that made us think that the cache has been there but wasn’t anymore so we moved on to “The Mothership Connection” which became our first find.
We returned to this one today and I found it in ten seconds this time.
Thanks for the cache stainless-steel-rat!

First find for the day. Have been here before but didn’t look hard enough.
Today only took a while because the old muggles were walking slower than a moody teenager, discussing having chicken for lunch just after they left their house! At lunchtime!
Found quickly once they were gone.
Thanks for the cache SSR!

Can I remind new cachers that you have to sign the log to be able to claim a find.
After a find this raised our spirits! TFTC I think I want to buy one of these properties and move here. What a beautiful spot
[Found it] eventually and not without a 10 minute search, checking and re: checking the GPS and it turns out the GPS was spot on, my searching efforts were "beached-as-bro!" I was floundering like a beached whale here coz the camo was unreal and the hide was so wee ... "excuses excuses" lol... i just need to open my eyes and slow down ha ha
The Photo Gallery may have been of assistance here, but i just went on the GPS and clue as i usually do.
The cache was eventually found and i was SL [once the log decided to emerge ] at 11:28 on Wednesday 18 August 2021.

I saw the people who found it logging on the way past and I Waited for the log to come through as they said that they found it on the ground and the spot they said they thought it was the same place we thought it was so that was good find.
I forgot to bring a pen so photo to prove I found it!

looked for agesss but couldn't find it i feel like it's probably in here somewhere:
Coming back from our big walk we decided to get some food before we attempted this one. After food we attempted this one we searched behind and in every stump and log around the area and we couldn’t see anything. We will come back soon and have another crack at it but I don’t like our chances.
Today was a beautiful day so thought we would collect some caches with the geokids along the pipeline track between Neika and Fern Tree. There were lots of likely objects in the area and so couldn't find it. After a while we found it out on the ground next to the object it should have been in. We placed it back where we thought it should be. TFTC
Found on a walk with my sister. First one since we have been allowed out. Thanks
A lucky little find as it has fallen out of its hole. The first on a very rainy day. TFTC
I originally looked where I thought the cache was most likely to be but didn't find the cache initially. A quick check of the hint and the cache was in hand. Thanks for having the curled plastic to keep the log nice and rolled, makes a positive difference! Cache 2 for my 20/11/19 Pipeline Track caching session, TFTC!
Hooray! After the disappointment of not finding The Mothership Connection happy to have found this! Easy find thanks!
Today we set out to avenge a recent DNF on GC6Y98M "PTPT - I saw the sign", having noticed it had a recent "found" log. Along the way we picked up another three traditional caches, but unfortunately we also picked up a new DNF.
Rather than park at Fern Tree as we had last time, we decided this time to park where the track crosses Gray's Road, and proceed to GC6Y98M from there. We saved a couple of caches to break up the walk back to the car, including this one.
Approaching the GZ, we immediately could see there were potentially a few places that could be concealing a cache. Taking a cue from the cache name, we started with a few stumps on both sides of the track, but didn't manage to track it down. On the off-chance the title was a red herring, we expanded the search to a few other spots, but still didn't come up with anything. Eventually a well-overdue check on the hint directed us to the goods, surprisingly enough in a place we thought we'd already checked!
Glad we got there eventually! Lovely spot for a walk, and always good to have a cache along the way!

Coming down to Hobart to visit the newly relocated Hancock Clan, we needed to decide on a good target for the day. The Dragon’s Lair looked right up out alley, so we walked the majority of the powertrail to reach it. A few DNFs along the way, but a great place for a power trail.
The gps signal was highly dodgy in places, so the hints came in very handy indeed!
Please excuse the generic logs.

The first cache of the day on the way to the Dragon's Lair with Delloro. What a super day; 40 caches, 33,000 steps and 25km walked according to the Fitbit (carrying ropes & gear too!). TFTC!
Cheers,

Looked on the way up and couldn’t find it- then tried again and found it almost straight away. Couldn’t find a pen so will come back and write in the log but took a photo as proof.
Tassie Trip Day 107 - Today was a good day for a ride on the bike and after deciding to do the Pipeline Track it was finding a place to park and found somewere that was ok but not the correct spot but alas I went on my way and the track was started.
This was the first one on the trail that I came to and after a short search it was soon had in hand and the treck had begun.
Thanks stainless-steel-rat for bring us here and adding to this wonderful power trail in what is a lovely area to ride a bike and enjoy the track.

Out on a cold morning to get a few new caches which have gone down since our last visit to Tas, our 7300 cache. TFTC
If there are no hidden creatures in this enchanted forest then I don't know. Absolute beautiful and so peaceful. Was so mesmerised I first walked past this one. Quick grab. TFTC
Ah the sun is still out. It's been waiting patiently here for us and goodness it feels good. As the CO checked over the hide and whatnot I signed the log. Another one ticked off on the maintenance run and my 4th find for the day. We had to wait on a couple of passing muggles to rehide it but in the scheme of things today it was not an issue.
This is my 2nd attempt at this cache and I found it in .00003 of a second. I did get new glasses from specsavers y'day!!! So that could be the reason! I bought my writing stick but no extraction tool. Tftc! Another day, another find.
Hey !! No fair !! [:o]
These caches ain't easy to find
For me at least
I did track down this one eventually.
I blame me GPS for stuffing up again and jumping all over the place like a Mexican Bean

Teeny tiny and a bit hard to get the log out, but a cute place for an autumn visit
Today was a clean up day, putting smilie faces on some caches that we just never seem to get to. Being such a beautiful day we were enjoying our walk. We managed to park close by and walk. Good hint and therefore the cache was found quickly.

The pipeline track is always a lovely walk and a chance for a short walk should not be missed along it.

Another fine day in Hobart and made my way up to Wellington Mountain, but first a stop in Fern Tree to find some caches. TFTC Greetings from Belgium.
Out and about collecting caches on the pipe line. After finding water in the first hole, wasps in the second, saw cache on the ground at the next stump. Signed and replaced in the hole as per hint. TFTC

Ah took a hit longer than needed as some gumbuy had picked up their dog poo and then left the bag on the stump. Grr TFTC
The GeoGSP missed out on a walk along the pipeline track yesterday, so decided to take him for a late afternoon stroll today on the dog friendly section. Grabbed a couple of caches along the way, still a couple left for next time. Nice little hide, thanks for the cache SSR.
I had spent a little time searching for Ver 1.0 stump a while ago, so nice to finally be able to log the stump cache as found!
