Hi, not sure about this but the doc lady told us about a cache that the wekas kept moving. It was in a magnetic key box but I hadnt added it to the ones to do because it had been disabled. If it is yours let me know and I will tell you where it has been placed
We were looking near hint items for something covered when we saw something in the open and not near anything. The cache had clearly been wet - which is not uncommon with this sort of container. We signed and headed further along the track to a spot we had found a cache before as we really enjoy the views from Skinners Lookout.
Thanks.
Thanks.
Its a long weekend so The Seagnoid, Zara and I are off for an adventure to Golden Bay. The Seagnoid is navigator and Zara and I pair up getting us from A to B??
OK we have been to Skinners Point so lets snag some on the way back. This cache was fill of water and log book saturated. Dropped in a temp waterproof log. Cheers.

Taybeedragon, Zara and I are on a three day geocaching extravaganza curtesy of Her Majesty the Queen. Happy birthday, Liz!
Alas the cache was wet inside and the contents saturated. Some nidjit had put the pencil in the log bag, so it had puncture the bag and so the log was saturated as well. The dragon added a new log of Florist's paper in a new bag, and while logging this cache I had a read of how Māui tricked Mahuika into giving up her fire. I already knew that Māhoe was a tree used for firestarting so wasn't surprised to see it mentioned in the legend.

We are off with 16 girl guides for a 4 day adventure. We only had time to find this cache on the way to Awaroa Hut. We didn't want to miss the estuary crossing. TFTC
Out with victoriousone and 16 Ranger Guides on the start of our 4 day Abel Tasman tramp. Looked for a few caches but couldn't spend much time as we had to get the low tide crossing at Awaroa. Only found this one. TFTC
Easy find as was fully visible, which we fixed.
Unfortunately the container had water inside as log is soaked . Made our mark anyway. Thanks

Camping at the campground with our son and his family! Decided to do some of the caches nearby, but had to come here twice to finally discover this one! Our GPS kept directing us to the wrong side of the track!!! Finally, we decided to broaden our search area, and there it was! Thanks!
We are keen geocachers on holiday from Tauranga and grabbing a few smileys as we go. Saw quite a bit of this beautiful bush as we had no idea what a Mahoe is, although we do know quite a few other native trees. We know now! A whiteywood. GPS was all over the place but once in the right area, it was an easy find & close to GZ. Pleased to report that your well set-up cache is all good. TFTC
I struggled a bit with this one but after a little ferreting around and looking from various angles, finally nabbed it. TFTC
I'm afraid I'm not very good at identifying trees which is my I brought myself a guide book a while back, unfortunately it was back in my car at the campground, in between passing muggles I searched around every small tree I could find, knowing the coords were 30 meters out on the last cache I wasn't feeling to hopeful. I'd decided to give up after a long search when I saw a tree I'd overlooked before and there it was and the GPS was saying only 1 meter from GZ. I won't forget what a mahoe in a hurry now that I know. TFTC

FTF - Team effort. The GPS on my iphone was all over the place because of the trees. Found by cwnn, holytean, judithn and laurienorton. Another great Totaranui day.
didn't invest as much time as Boxhill. Bit of a scratch around, then off to check some caches
Spent 40 minutes looking but couldn't spot it. Not to worry as Meat Loaf put it " two out of three ain't bad". Cheers anyway
