Had a good look around as it is quiet on the track today but werent lucky today to find this one
Couldnt find after 20 minutes of looking. Looked at both bridges, everywhere. Must have been very well hidden or somewhere completely else then where I was looking
Coming from Anchorage I saw wrong option first and was wondering where this could be, glad I moved on and then had a quick find on this one.
For this time of the year we good very lucky with the weather walking the track. We spend 3 nights in hut and 2 nights we had the whole place for ourselves. Found some geoaches on the way. TFTC
Day 3 of our 3 day walk exploring the area.
Had to take the high tide route so missed a few of the other caches that were lower down as we were not sure we could make the stretch back up.
Nice quick find here.
Thanks for the cache.

Walking the Abel Tasman Track over 3 days. Started at Totaranui and aiming to finish at Marahau 3 days later.
Of course had to pick up some caches on the way.
Started at the right end of bridge first time which always helps!

Walking from Totaranui to Marahau over Queens Birthday weekend... Failed miserably to get my offline list sorted on my phone (amateur much) - so most of the trip was non caching... to be fair it was pouring down for those 3 days so I wasn't prepared to hunt in the rain anyway.
Today it is beautiful... after a wet 3 days it is so nice to dry out.
Another quick stop here heading south... TFTC B&W

Sixth cache found while doing the Abel Tasman walk for 5 days. Luckily the area was quiet when looking for this one so it was a quick find, TFTC!
Found after a short search. Nice wee hiding place. Signed & returned as found. TFTC
I forgot to log all these geocaches from a long time ago. Had a beautiful time dropping into as many bays as possible between anchorage & Marahau today. Enjoyed such a beautiful Nelson Anniversary.
Had to wait for some people to pass by but it was a quick grab today.

With low tide still 3 hours away, the cache we wanted to get at Stilwell Bay was not yet accessible, so we continued on to grab a couple of other caches. This was the first of the extra caches and a nice quick find. tftc
It's school camp time and I am following, or leading the kids along half of the coastal track. I started here at Marahau on a Monday lunchtime, walked to Anchorage for the first night, Onetahuti for the second night, back to Anchorage for the third and the out to Marahua on Thursday morning and down to Motueka for a shower on the last night. All up, 78 km of walking on the track, popping down to most of the bays and sidetracks along the way, 11 hours moving and 8 hours 45 minutes stopped for eating, resting and cache searching. This one was easy as per hint and description. Time for some food here...
A nice quick find here due to the cache page hint. Waited for some others to pass before replacing. All good. TFTC B&W.
Today RG1972 and I decided to walk from the track from the Marahau start to Anchorage, and then walk back. So a fair bit of walking, and it was a bit tough going simply because I hadn’t been doing much walking lately. But we enjoyed the views and the walk and I got a few caches on the way. Next time we will get a water taxi home .

Must be about time to go down, the clouds are gathering so need to get the tent up ASAP! Cheers
Find three, a quick hint had it in hand in the second main place we searched.
A big walk today from Marahau to Observation Creek and return. Five hours walking in total ... non stop! Found this as my only cache to mark the end of our journey. A nice quick find with the generous hint. TFTC bumandworker.

On a sunny and cloudy day with some sprinkles I hiked a part of the Abel Tasman Track. The water taxi took me to Anchorage and I hike the beautiful track back to Marahau. It was a wonderful day and the rain started to get heavy when I reached the car - perfect timing. Thanks for all the caches that I could find on this perfect day!

Apologies for the late logging and cut 'n' paste but now Mr & Mrs Castoff are back in the UK at the same time we're catching up on the Geocaching adventures. We took hundreds of photographs but were too busy looking at stunning scenery across NSW and New Zealand to make copious notes. SL. TFTC.
Today we walked the Abel Tasman Coast Walk from Anchorage zu Matahau. This was an cache on our way near the bridge. Thx for the cache.

On this wonderful day I did a kayak tour from Maharau to Anchorage Bay and back by feet. The weather was perfect and the scenery is incredible, really a paradise on earth! On this day caches were also on my To-Do-list, like this one, which I could easily find with the description in the listing.

Today Jul1ane and me did a hike through Able Tasman NP. Took a water taxi to Bark Bay and went from there back to Marahau by foot. Apart from the great nature and lookouts, we also encountered some caches on the tour.
The first find of the day. Had to wait a bit for a mugglefree moment, then could find it easily.

What a wonderfull time. I`'m visiting NZ for 10 weeks and find a lot of beautiful places. Nice views and some pretty caches. With my wife kaari74 we log some of these caches. One of them is this one. Thanks all owners for your job.
a wonderful holiday with 2 friends in NZ - thanks for all the great caches we found here
This coastal path was definitely on our itinerary when visiting from the UK. We camped at Kaiteriteri and caught the sea shuttle from the beach there and were dropped off at Medlands Bay. We then walked back along the trail until we reached Appletree Bay where we caught the ferry back to the start.
It was a fabulous walk and the views were amazing and the beaches stunning.
We were lucky to have a lull in muggle traffic and having noted the hint, the cache was soon found. All is well here.

Visiting New Zealand for three weeks. After hanging around Auckland for a few days it was time to head south! After an early morning flight I looked for a few caches in Nelson and Richmond, then hitchhiked to Abel Tasman National Park for a short walk in the southern part, spent the night camping in Torrent Bay, then back to Marahau and a ride to Kaikoura.

Walking the Abel Tasman walk three days from Totaranui to Kaiteretere in style, staying here and there at lodges along the way, cooked meals, bars, showers and beds; definitely glamping. TFTC 1642
Nice quick find on our way to Marahau. No muggles about at this spot this early in the day. Beautiful place to hang out. TFTC
I was out on a 4 day walk of the Abel Tasman Track, from Marahau to Wainui. Day 1 was from Marahau to Anchorage and I took a look for this cache along the way. This cache was a nice easy find along the way. TFTC!
Third find of the day with NZDi. It is Easter weekend and we have decided to take a break. Yesterday we travelled to Motueka in preparation for a day trip on the Abel Tasman track. Today we get picked up from Marahau by shuttle and taken to Kaiteriteri, from there it is on a water taxi to Anchorage and we then make our way back to Marahau, picking up caches along the way. And finally on Sunday we will head back home dropping in at the Mapua Easter Fair on the way.
Yesterday wasn't supposed to be a big caching day, but some bright spark at GCHQ dreamt up the Planetary Pursuit which put paid to that. Fortunately, I have almost 100 solved but unfound puzzles, multis and challenges in the greater Nelson area, so it was time to put them to work. All in all we ended up with 265 Planetary Pursuit Points. None of today's caches were any of the solved puzzles so were only worth 5 points each in most respects, apart from the odd one with more than 10 FPs, so todays tally was not as good.
After getting dropped off at Anchorage Beach this was our fourth cache on the Abel Tasman proper. We had attempted a couple of others earlier without any luck as we set a self imposed time limit on our finds where minutes looking = Planetary Pursuit points awarded for the cache. As the previous two DNFs were only traditionals they only merited 5 minutes of searching and once that expired, we moved on.
Obviously this one took less than 5 minutes in fact I found it in the first place I looked, The easiest find on the track so far.
