Find 3 of 23 with 1 DNF on a driving day from Perth to Kulin, with some unfound LGAs being the main objective.

This has definitely been forced. We attempted to put it back together properly but it will need more tools than we had with us. Looks like a good one, too.

TFTC Bristag!

I wasn’t planning on coming to Toodyay today but the allure of a certain multi got me here. After a Toodyay Bakery pie, I started finding some geotrakka caches before hitting Northam.

Two of the controllers are jammed. Comments continue as per prior finders

After completing the GG series I stopped here. Found the device and it seemed to have been jimmied open. Either that or I’m blessed as a controller. Thanks for the hide.

Well worthy of a fave point!

What better way to spend a long weekend than packing up the car and heading off on a road trip? We made plans to meander our way to Northam and camp there overnight before setting sail for home. This was one of the caches we had targeted for the day and we also had some GCA caches, Waymarks and Adventure Labs on the radar. Cheers and TFTC.

G’day there Bristag, I was in this area today and found your cache Clear Prop GC6YJCE. I added my name to the log book at 12:31 pm on 27 February 2021. A huge thanks to you for placing this cache here for us (and others) to find!

Was out caching on my own today prior to the brunch and came out here to grab this very clever and interesting cache. Luckily i spent much time learning to fly in SA before moving to this state. So i position the controls in the right order and nearly got smacked in the face. Thanks for a great cache and bringing me here Bristag. Favourite from me....

Out and about with SVKR_WA to finish off the WAGB19 weekend in Northam. Had this one on our hit list and it didn't disappoint. The box was open in a flash more by luck than anything else. Awarding a favourite.

Bristag I found your cache at 9:45am, this was the 2nd of 12 finds for me today and brings my total find count to 5398. The cache was in good order and I replaced it as found.

01-Jun-19
Geobuddy marke8183 picked me up from home at about 6am to head out to the Northam area for WAGB weekend. After registering, we teamed up with SeabreezeOZ and headed over towards Toodyay to do the Adventure Lab cache and a few others along the way. No problems finding this one. We found this one once back in Northam after that little jaunt. Another good cache here - not really sure that skill had anything to do with getting it open though as I just tinkered for a while and it opened somehow. It was one of about 80 smileys for the weekend. Thanks to all the CO's who contributed to a great weekend of caching. Cheers Bristag.

In Northam for the WA Goes Big Event
We found a park on the shoulder of the road and made the short walk to GZ. On the way we passed another couple of cachers who had just done the cache
Mistraluna quickly worked the levers to the correct position and the container popped open
Once we had signed the log we set off back into town for some more caches
Clever construction, thanks for taking the time and effort to create such interesting and fun caches

Great construction, a favourite! Found this morning with Photo-Play, finding a few caches in Northam after filling some gaps in the Kep Track. Photo-Play had this one worked out fairly quickly... Thank you for the cache Bristag.

24-Feb-19
Found it. TFTC Bristag. Out with Papillon367 to tackle some of the Kep Track series that were missed several months ago. Then to finish the day around Northam. Had a fare idea how to start a prop engine, just a bit rusty. I thought if we get this one started we could get home quicker. couldn't get it started but we got it open. I like the design here, I will fav this one. well done.

29-Aug-18
Well this cache was definitely for the geo hubby and luckily enough he was with us on this trip to help open the cache. Took a few minutes due to the throttle needing a bit more than expected.
Geo son loved that Dad could open it and congratulated him on his first find ( well maybe not first but he does not come out often with us).
Thanks for the great cache - it was a great ending to our day out at Dowerin Feild Day. Tftc

21-Apr-18

We headed out today to claim some more smileys through the Avon valley, we had a mixture of caches with three fantastically executed field puzzles being the highlight of our day, this being one of them!! We had a couple of DNF’s for the day but will get back to hopefully rectify that soon, all in all a great day out, a fouvrite point coming your way TFTC

Very well-constructed cache! Glad I had dad with me as I'm not much use at these sorts of puzzles ;p Nice one to finish off a morning of caching in Northam! ^_^

Day 17 of our Adventure to the northern Goldfields and now in the Wheatbelt. After a good jight at the very pleasant Toodyay Holiday Park (and chalets!) Megawat60 and I are ready to explore the surrounds as far as Northam.
A small detour to get here, and well worth it. We parked the geoute where advised, got to GZ, where I handed the tech work to him! And he got it! I did the SL and grabbed the TB. Thanks for an exciting field puzzle bristag, a fave from me!

24-Nov-17
Well it’s now day 17 of our LGA gathering plus just basic enjoyment trip with m4yb, Jonathan the camper trailer and Max the GeoUte.
Another stunning piece of work and engineering. Didn’t take too long but think I really flunked it. Great design and construction. Very clever and well worth a fav.
Thanks for the smiley Bristag

10-Nov-17
Sitting in The Northam pub having a nice lunch and I looked up caches in the area with favs and this stood out. Parking at the recommended waypoint, carefully walked in thongs to GZ and I pulled and pushed rods without success and it wasn’t until mugglewife tried something did the cache open. Very nice work, fav for this Smile

What can I say? An excellent cache that needs to be visited. Found en route from Adelaide to Perth. A fav point from me. Thanks Bristag for the puzzle and the cache.

03-Jun-17
Definite favourite for this one!

Well talk about a delay in logging! Time has just flown by since I undertook this awesome LGA weekend with PommieParkin. Due to the delay, you will have to excuse the generic log.

PP2 enquired as to whether I would like to go on an adventure to get some more LGA's under our belts, to which I said of course! Set out on the Saturday to head up into the Wheatbelt for the weekend. We first stopped at Northam to do one or two of the Bristag caches I had heard so much good things about. Unfortunately we only managed one, but it did not disappoint!

From there we headed east through Meckering, Cunderdin and Tammin (knocking off a couple of LGA's). From there, we headed north to Wyalkatchem, stopping at a couple of interesting places for caches. I particularly enjoyed the stop at Yorkrakine Rock, it was such a beautiful spot.

We finally reached Wylie, where we were staying the night. Before the day was over we completed the wonderful series by WebblyWA, which gave us a great tour of the town. Once the caching was over, we met up with WebblyWA at night and had the pleasure to experience a drive-in cinema in Koorda, which was conveniently another LGA Wink

On the Sunday, we finished off the caches we had on our list in Wylie and headed west towards Dowerin, where WebblyWA had another series. It was another great series and the final ended up being my 1000th cache found!

From there, we kept heading west to Goomalling for another LGA. This was where our LGA hunt was meant to stop. But, it was here that the LGA bug got to me and it became a case of "well if we just travel half an hour this way, we can get another LGA". So after little time spent convincing PP2, we headed north to Wongan Hills, stopping in Konnongorring for some great views at Gabby Quoi Quoi. Unfortunately, Wongan Hills cemetery was where we had our first DNF of the weekend, meaning our hopes of another LGA were riding on the one other cache in town. Luckily it was an easy enough find.

We then headed west towards Calingiri for one last LGA, stopping to admire Lake Ninan on the way (can't believe there isn't a cache there!). The cache in Calingiri was found, putting my total of LGA's found on the weekend to 8.

I had such an awesome weekend exploring this part of our great state. Many thanks go to the various CO's of the caches. But, I would particularly like to thank PP2 for suggesting the weekend, WebblyWA for some great series and Kyzabra for coming up with the LGA challenge, without which I probably wouldn't have explored this great area.

Wow. That was a good one. Maccasreps had a fiddle with it & I just sort of adjusted one to see what it was all about & Hey Presto....I'm a pilot. Have a fave for your creation.

20-Apr-17
Nearly home and we stopped for at least one field puzzle.

I was googling how to fly a plane, and Kyzabra was manipulating levers. He got lucky and the door opened.

The log was signed and he door closed.

I appreciated Kyzabra's luck in this instance, but am not planning on letting him fly a plane any time soon.

Travelling on the Road Trip to end all Road Trips. Kyzabra and I are travelling from Perth to Alice Springs (via the Great Central Road) for the Red Centre Experience Event over Easter. We are travelling in Kyzabra's GeoPajero and grabbing caches along the way of course.

The homeward stretch today. heading from Norseman to Perth.

Bristag - SVKR_WA found your cache Clear Prop on 20/4/17, 14:26. This is my find #2164 and find #4 today.

The cache is in good shape and we replaced it as found. Thanks for placing this and bringing us to this spot!

20-Apr-17
Today must be my lucky day. After a minute of fidgeting I heard the gears drop into place and the prize was revealed.
Wish I had more time to suss out more of your creations but heading home after a long trip.
A fav point from me.

SVKR_WA and I are heading home to Perth after a great few days in Alice Springs for the red centre event. This is the last day and we left Norseman about 6.30am to try and get as many kilometres behind us as possible.

I can't wait to catch up with everyone again at
[WA GOES BIG 2017](https://coord.info/GC6TD11) in Rockingham, WA.
Perths big event is on again.
**See you there**.

Bristag - Kyzabra found your cache Clear Prop . The cache is in good shape and we replaced it as found. Thanks for placing and maintaining your cache.!

Loved the idea of the cache. We even saw low flying aircraft. Lots of small and big ants near the cache. TFTH

Hello from Estonia!

23-Feb-17
We planned a reasonable days caching today, going to Northam with a plan to come back to Perth via toodyay, never really got there today on all fronts! 8 finds and not much to rate except for some good caches by bristag and a couple of puzzles near wundowie.

We really got off track after the decent walks to collect the puzzles in wundowie and not being able to get to another due to road works we continued out to kellerberrin to try for the First to find out there, which I was dead keen on as my grandfather was born in that town. We were beaten by an eager cacher this morning so slowly trudged back to Northam after stopping into meckering to grab the multi which took a lot longer than it should as we weren't sure of our final co ords so double checked them and then spent ages admiring the building and then even longer trying to find the cache amongst the lead litter, but eventually found it at knee height after phoning a friend.

Got into Northam and the weather was disgustingly hot so grabbed a couple of caches and even tried for the 5/3 cache Iva Jane burrows but DNFd that even with some help from the CO! In the words of the CO jnj must have eagle eyes!

We found some other good caches today including the field puzzle clear prop and another instalment in richlinks Bed n breaky series which saw me coming into the prison the wrong way luckily no one spotted us and no shots were fired!

Thanks for a great day out! Hope to be back soon and hopefully have the d5 in the bag Smile

A well deserved Fave point for this cache, thanks Bristag I think you are putting the Northam/Toodjay area on the map with your clever caches.

17-Feb-17
Another classic Bristag cache! I have wanted to get this one for a while now and the chance of getting the paragliding tag was extra incentive but alas someone beat me to it. Great design, some of those parts look familiar! Well done Bristag:-)

15-Feb-17
This was the last cache for the day and we parked the car about 100 metres from GZ. I opened the car door and looked down and all you could see was millions of bull ants. I decided I wasn't getting out so the hubby made the mad dash out the car to find the cache. He told me it was a brilliant construction and I should have seen it and it didn't take him to long to work it out. Even though he ran back to the car through the ants, all the way home we had ants crawling through the car....A fav point from us TFTC Bristag

12-Feb-17
Heading up Northam way with the muggles in law to check out the amazing amount of water in the rivers after the recent rains. As always when the muggle in laws are present the caching tends to take a back seat, So set my sights on a few special hides that had caught my eye and had rave reviews

With the water run off from the highway, being sitting in the drain for a couple of days. We were under a aerial attack from dive bombing mosquitoes as soon as we left the car

A quick dash over to Gz and with a few push and pulls of the controls we were soon cleared for take off and were taxing back down the runway to the car

Tftc Bristag

A definite favourite for us

11-Feb-17
Love all things Aviation so even though I was running late on my way to Perth due to the rain I had to stop for this one. Had been a few years but it came back to me and I soon had the log in hand. Left my paragliding pathtag for the next successful geocacher in keeping with the aviation theme. Please log it if you take it, its yours to keep. A favourite from me. TFTC

We came to Northam for this cache - to our amazement the geokiddies got this one open before we got to it - clever kiddies. Made sure everything was working ok - which it was. Another great cache - favourite point from us

So glad today's weather, although drizzly was cooler so made our caching enjoyable. Another inventive and creative cache. Well done Bristag

13-Jan-17
Another classic from Bristag who puts so much thought and effort into his caches. This one is excellent and the workmanship is fantastic. Got it open surprisingly quickly (random trial and error) then spent more time examining the mechanism. Great stuff.

Cool *FTF* with DangerMouse09 at 10.50am Cool

Heading to Northam to run some errands, this cache was added to my list as first priority! Eventually got there & made my way to GZ with DM09... He was quick to spot the hide that we made harder to get to than what it should have been Surprised Not having my partner in crime with me, I was a bit nervous about what this cache entailed but between DM09 & myself we soon nutted it out & had the blank logbook to hand Smile

What another clever & unique cache [^] Will make sure to stop by again & show Jase your handiwork... TFTC Bristag Big Grin
