31-May-24
Taurus Six and I have taken an extra day off work for the long weekend so we can meander our way to the Perth Hills where we will spend the three days . Great weather for ducks today not that we are complaining however because there certainly has not been much rain of late and we definitely need it. A leisurely start had us at the Crooked Carrot for brunch before hitting the highway. Our aim was to collect straggler caches in the Peel and Murray areas before switching back to the South West Highway via Lakes Road geocaching along the way . All in all a fantastic day exploring and geocaching and we are not totally wet .This is our tenth cache find of the day. We are really enjoying this area . Like many others before us we spotted the cache and it was impossible to retrieve it . Suggest CO look into this. We still enjoyed the find. Thanks for the cache .

Walked in and found the wedged host, lamented that we had a replacement in the car if we’d paid attention to logs before heading to cache.

Headed out with SirFancy for an afternoon adventure and decided to try and clear up this little area, a mission that was successful as I finished with 5 finds and 0 DNF’s.

Down this way grabbing some caches, we parked up and made the short walk to gz with the geohounds leading the way. After a quick search at gz we spotted the cache but I think it needs to be attended to. I’m not sure if this is the way it’s meant to be. TFTC TruSeekTrio

Caching with axell33 and the geopups. We enjoyed the walk and found the cache but try as we did it was not budging so it needs to be checked. We didn't stay too long as the geopups were trying to have a chat with the locals nearby. Thanks for the cache, it is a beautiful place. Greetings from Baldivis.

Out for a days caching down to Mandurah with Cravo10 to cleanup a few recently solved puzzles and some pesky traditionals that have been on “the list” for too long.

Started caching around 6am to beat the weekday traffic and managed just under 30 finds for the days work with some nice walks through the yunderup and general Mandurah area.

Special thanks to the COs for their caches and choosing to share these locations with us.

Thanks again.

Stopped to grab the 2 Wilgie Creek caches after going to Pinjarra to pick up an MS cache. Walked very fast to GZ as the mozzies out here were terrible. Definitely didn't stop for a rest it was a matter of finding the cache quickly as we were getting eaten alive. TFTC TruSeekTrio

** This is a very late log**

The caches I am now logging were ones I have found since setting off on a geocaching roadtrip with Eaglette2017 - the mission was to pick up just 5 more LGA caches as well as my geocaching centroid to enable me to qualify for a challenge cache over in Victoria that I visited when over there late last year. We had an absolute ball on our three days away, visiting many great locations, having lots of laughs and picking up many smileys.

Since then, I have been putting off logging any caches until I caught up on the ones from that wonderful adventure. Many, many more caches have been found and shared geocaching adventures have been enjoyed since then too, so it is about time that I got down to work on all those outstanding logs, albeit somewhat late.

I appreciate all the effort each of the cache owners has gone through to create and place each and every hide and I do not for one second take it for granted, I just need to get caught up so I can return to my usual style of individualized logs. Time permitting, I hope to come back to this log and upload pics from the journey and add a personal note.

Thanks for the smiley I earned here TruSeeekTrio
