We are on a one week holiday road trip from Sydney to Brisbane to Sydney, with pre-booked accommodation at the Ingenia White Albatross Holiday Park in Nambucca Heads, the Big4 NRMA Treasure Island Holiday Resort on the Gold Coast, the Blue Dolphin Holiday Resort in Yamba, and the Big4 Leisure Tourist Park in Port Macquarie. Planning to collect some caches around our accommodation stays, and also stop-off for some targeted caches along the M1 Pacific Motorway route. Photos will be uploaded to logs after our return to home base. This was the 1st of 11 finds for the day (day 1), and 1st find of the holiday. This was our first cache stop of the trip, exiting the motorway at the dual roundabouts, and arriving at GZ for a nice quick find. TNLNSL, and then replaced as found. TFTC DiMorgan.Find #7159

Find#2245Found today after working my way with Shaneo58 on the way to Wauchope for a caching weekend. Nice easy find at GZCache and log in good condition. TFTC
After a very quick visit to Sydney over the Queensland long weekend, it was time to head for home, but not before we completed a quickish perfectly curated list of caches to tick off some LGAs in the region and then a few more up the coast for my travelling companion for the weekend - Waz and Vik. Requiring an additional 5 LGAs for a challenge that I had previously signed, I set myself a goal to achieve them with minimal travel. Maps were studied and caches were checked to see if they had been found recently with ease and in good conditional, hints were noted and logs read. With a game plan sorted all that was left was to complete it. Setting out in the morning we started at Parramatta and made our way down to Rookwood cemetery - and of course promptly added the old multi Issacs Rest to the list. Once this was achieved we continued a little further South to the lowest LGA for the day and then headed back up, before hitting the last selected cache and a bonus 6th LGA for the region. With all the Sydney smiles done it was time to hit the A1! Then came the rain! and more rain. From there the list for the bonus LGAs went out the window, unless we wanted to be drowned rats. Fortunately with small breaks in the weather and roadside rest stops we did actually grab the two wanted LGAs in Port Macquarie and Kempsey. One Friday driving down we had stopped for lunch in Coffs and solved a letterbox in town that we decided to collect on the way home. So that was on the list and a favourite for the day. Being the last LGA on this list for the day, all we had left to do was finish the drive home. A fantastic days pick up, and thanks to all the cache owners for their well maintained caches, particularly the roadside rest stop caches. EXTRA BIT: Certainly not the one we wanted in this area, but so pleased for this quick easy stop in the rain. Vik wanted to give a Favourite Point, but missed clicking the heart in her log, so I said I would drop one on her behalf. On my next trip down (or back) I will be collecting the others in here.
Wanted an LGA and it was raining cats and dogs this was a nice quick stop tftc
TftcI had a spare couple of hours while waiting in Port, so I headed down to Herons Creek for a change.I had to wait out a muggle who was busy chatting on the phone. After he left it was a real quick grab.
Our second day staying at the Kendall showgrounds, and after the rain overnight, it is a lot cooler to go caching, no doubt the mozzies will be out for revenge after so many hot days.Managed to take the right road into this and go out the wrong way o get back onto the roadTotal Caches Found 15376TFTC DiMorgan

Day 11. A last minute plan had been hatched to make my way to QOGM. Very little planning had been done but a very rough outline was in place and it was going to be a day by day trip. After managing to catch up with posums in Taree yesterday, it was off further north towards Port Macquarie and Coffs Harbour.A nice quick find here, good timing as it looks like parents are on their way as I was leaving to collect school drop off. Thanks DiMorgan for adding this cache to the worldwide collection for us all to enjoy.----------------------------------------------------------The 12 Days of Cachemas series is now live. We have been staying on the coast at Harrington to avoid the coldest of the winter weather in Victoria.
We are now heading north and grabbing a few along the way.
The container was found after a short search, once at GZ. Another nice hide, along this trail.
Thanks DiMorgan for placing this cache and doing the maintenance, so we can enjoy finding it.

A quick and easy cache - nothing fancy, but I do like this container. Just big enough for it's purpose, camo'd enough to avoid attention, and fits perfectly in its hide. TFTC!
On our way to Rutherglen Mega
Caching today is Semik and Aneka the Geopup
Signed and returned

Caching with Oddiewan and our improving 4-legged cacher pup, we are on holiday and headed to the Rutherglen mega for Easter weekend.
This one was perfect for us to stop with caravan behind us. Sad to see the sign defaced though it looks as though someone tried to remove it to salvage the sign. Lots of trails, alas we are not here today to explore. We do intend to come back through later when we have our very own caravan (still waiting for its manufacture to be completed) and spend time to explore and learn more about this area.
Cache was in good shape, log dry.
Thanks for the fun, DiMorgan

A nice easy one to finish our cache hunt today. Thanks go to DiMorgan. We have really enjoyed your thoughtful well placed and well camped caches with different difficulty levels. TFTC TFTH
Not a good area. Lots of rubbish and found a box with used needles in it. Left straight away.

Cache is in excellent condition, but the log is very wet...only just held up to signing.

Another quick park and grab heading to Ewetopia Farm another wonder added to the list. TFTC ??
While travelling south again with ilook4geo, we decided to take a short detour off the highway and learn some interesting things about Herons Creek. The signs around the area are really good with a lot of interesting facts and stories. The caches were not too hard to find and were an interesting assortment of cache types and hides.
This was an easy find but be aware of the wasps nest close by. The log was also very wet and needs to be replaced.
Thanks go to DiMorgan for this fun series. We really enjoyed coming here.

A few caches around the Lorne area, and as far across as Port.
No one on the roundabouts today, so a quick find.
Checked out the paths on the map.
Thanks, Robmc.

I went with Fitzy_1965 for a long weekend drive up the east coast to Port Macquarie caching along the way and visiting several new towns and villages. A highlight was a get together with Pprass & Kat after a few mega 4wd climbs in the afternoon. Day 2 found us caching around Taree before heading to Wauchope for the afternoon. Several fun trails on hills, but a complete camping fail, so we ended up hiding from the rain in a Pt Macquarie Hotel.
These well camouflaged caches provided a real challenge and a great opportunity to see the information made available.
Thanks for the cache DiMorgan

21,934. Found during an epic trip up to Port Macquarie and back with albida33 over a 4 day weekend. Often signed as F65 A33.
With a loose plan on paper we headed off early yesterday from Goulburn and aimed to be around Taree for our first night in the swags. Drove straight through to north of Sydney (including through the new NorthConnex tunnel - awesome not having to do Pennant Hills Road ever again) and arrived in Taree and set up at the Taree Showgrounds. This morning after breakfast we packed up and hit the caching trail. This was the next find of the day. A nice quick find at GZ. Signed the log, replaced the cache, then headed off to the next one.
Thanks DiMorgan !!

After getting rained out at work i stopped here on the way back to the accommodation. I had stopped here previously but failed to find the cache. Either i was having a bad day or it was missing as i found it straight away this time and i looked there previously. TFTC
