Found this one on a wonderful day taking a hike on the island and encountering lovely koalas tftc, greetings from Austria
TFTC! Got us stumped for a bit but eventually we had the cache in hand! Great spot and a cute little frog! Forgot a pen.
Suscoe headed to Raymond Island today for some caching fun.We enjoyed the short trip on the ferry and the very pleasant wander around the island. We met quite a few tourists, an occasional koala and a few wallabies, not to mention water birds galore. It was great wandering about. Thanks to mazza-g for this interesting cache.
Seems the little froggy is missing. Planning to get a replacement in the next couple of weeks.
On a road trip to attend Capital Geobash Mega and see many different sights along the way. Today we decided to catch the ferry across to Raymond Island for a look around. So glad we did. What a lovely spot. Unfortunately a DNF for us even after a PAF. The likely hide did have some potential animal disturbance. ...................................................Are you ready to nominate in the **2023 Victorian Cache of the Year Awards**? Check out the 2023 geocaching lists [available here](https://geocachingvictoria.com.au/information/great-caching-lists/) to get a head start and find some of the great new caches. Nominations will open early 2024.
Still road tripping the east and caching too with Jack and Purrfect Di. Down closer to sea level now! A great little series leading us around the island. Neat hide here. Seemed quite real! Fav. Thank you mazza-g for this cache hide and ongoing care and maintenance ---------------- ----------------------In a dangerous world filled with rusty old mint tins and solid caches falling from trees - - - a cache a day keeps us agile... sort of --------Caches are logged using the resources of gsak, garmin, and androids, occasionally AI too! (And a little rubber stamp ) Work gets in the way - and some may take longer to log than others due to mixed technology and need for sleep! The skill and talent of some Zenior Zombies helps, and maybe a spot of luck too [:o)]----------Cache carefully and make sure Travel Bugs are the Only bugs you share and pass on Clean as you go and cache the countryside Big thanks to those placing quality caches out and about around our country areas, in nice safe places and containers especially! - it keeps our game fun for all Of course we do appreciate if you actually did read all this extra addition to the log word count! There's a challenge somewhere out there, or so we've been told! You win a virtual smiley for the effort and getting to the end of the log Maybe if I worked out where it is I could do it and go back to normal logs again ! If you find the challenge let me know and perhaps we can put an end to these long logs !!! Maybe not though - as someone actually did read to the end and alerted me to just a project GC badge that requires long logs [:o)] Well at least it's not as bad as finding a mint tin! Did you get that... stop putting out rusty mint tins, just stop it, now!!! C'est fini... For now... ... until tomorrow! Viva Mexicana ! PS:---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------GCA1DNA - Great Leap Forward ... or is it backward... it takes an extra day to get to March 29.2.24 The Mega Leap Event of the year. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------And don't forget to put the June Long Weekend in your diary for 2024 too... fun and funky finds
Today we will go to the lyons market. On our way to thr ferry wd found this cacheDanke fr das Legen und Pflegen
WOO HOO - found Tree Frog today. I'm really enjoying the variety of cache containers in this Series - such fun to find. Thanks mazza-g for setting up and maintaining the RI Series. Raymond Island has always been a favourite place to visit .PS: The Troll Dolls [TN6TR0] were with me on my great caching adventures today.
Came here for the day hoping to cache the place out but the mozzies were so intense we could barely get out of the car. But I wasnt leaving it without 1. What a cool one this was. Tftc
Hello little fella TFTC JENPETEH, The H,s , South Africans living in Tassie GeoCaching our way around Australia and loving it
super easy find although it was a stupid long walk found with group of friends from school
Never been to Raymond Island, so quick day trip while in Paynesville.Too many caches for one day so will have to come back and do the Koala walk. TFTC
Tricky one to find as we entered a little too far north. After much searching about by the boys, the team eventually found the cute hide in his sweet little residence

Due to unforeseen circumstances Mr Smokey Bear will no longer be a part of Team Smokey Bear and will continue his adventures as "SmokeyBearOG".
So I'm relogging all previous finds under my new account.
Unfortunately this log will not show the original logging date.

Nice easy find on Australia Day 2023 exploring Raymond Island, tftc another great camo
Another cache found along the way as we drive around The Island today. We haven’t spotted any koalas yet! SL at 12.23pm #9537 Lots of dragonflies and butterflies. TFTC
A quick find with a muggle friend who might well become a cacher. Liked the camo.
Poor little bugger was found outside his hideout so I put him back inside out of the weather TFTC
Find # 10732
Found while travelling with sharkiefan, on an extended long weekend.
Today we headed east from Sale to cache on Raymond Island with the Koalas and then drive out along the Mitchell River Silt Jetties.
Another interesting day but this one will take some beating.
2 Ferry rides, half a dozen koalas, some cool letterboxes, a great drive around an island, lookout views over Jones Bay, chatting with the odd fisherman along Rivermouth Rd and poor old Milo, the dog, that just loves Rabbit poo.
This little fella has almost croaked it....

Found with FUF009.
A really different day of caching for us. Involving a ferry, an island and a silt jetty. Usually we see wallabies and the odd bluey but today was all about the koala with the odd kanga.
I had a blast. Tftc

I'm down from Qld, From Kingscliff and really enjoying catching up with a friend and meeting new ones. TFTC
Needing a lab cache today for a personal challenge we have set ourselves and being that the temperature was going to be quite cooler in Gippsland than in Melbourne we decided to head to Paynesville to do the lab there stopping at any others that popped up on screen.
Once the Lab was done we decided to head over to Raymond Island to try this series as we had heard good things about it and we are glad that we did as the hides were imaginative and good fun. We only saw two other cars the entire time we were doing this trail, we had no muggle problems what so ever. It could have been different a couple of weeks back, with the amount of water lying around the roads may have been a bit muddy.
This one took way longer than what it should have as I followed the GPS in from the wrong direction and although I was sure that I knew what I was looking for I was coming up empty handed. Diane came over to assist and looking from a different angle walked straight up to the hide and we were soon adding our name to the log.
Thanks once more for the cache mazza-g.

The work year has finished, so it’s time to head off on another road trip - to explore ‘The Pointy End’.
DAY FOUR: Raymond Island, Paynesville, Eagle Point.
Gps had us back a bit so came in from the wrong angle.
RoamingHowie soon spotted it as he moved around to a better angle.
Thanks for bringing us here today by placing this cache, mazza-g

Day 4 of the Bring In The New Year (BITNY) road-trip. Now settled on Bairnsdale and after an early morning wake up by the cockatoos it was off to explore Raymond Island and Paynesville.
This would have been a much quicker find if we’d approached from the right side
Thanks mazza-g for placing this gamepiece in the wild for us to find.

Caching with a muggle on the RI series.
About 5 years ago after visiting friends in Bruthen, I happened upon a market in Paynesville. Didn’t have time on the day, so added Raymond Island to my ‘must visit’ list.
Happened to be in the area today with time to spare and the island did not disappoint. We saw 22 koalas and the biggest kangaroo I think we’ve ever seen
This series had us drive from one end to the other, across and back. The kids thoroughly enjoyed the finds and scrambled to see who could find it first.
Thanks for placing these caches, sure gave us an amazing day out

Staying on RI for a week, in which we will hopefully get a good bunch of caches both here and on the mainland. I brought my bike and jumped on it for the first time in about five years! Lucky it’s flat on the island! Thanks for fun hide.
A week of travelling around Gippsland, golfing and caching as I go. Staying in Paynesville today and had a chance to do some caching. A visit to Raymond Island was on the go. Loved these caches as it gave me the opportunity of seeing the island whilst doing what I love. Thanks for all this great series mazza-g. Some signed in full and some as SS.
A morning bike caching outing today.
I could see the hide watching me approach, as the camo was a little thin.
I could have done with a few of this character's mates to eat the mozzies before they ate me.
