Ocw the Bebes while we stay in Mareeba for a few days. A quick find at GZ. Tftc
Apologies for the late log here (01.01.24) but I've had a busy time since getting back to the UK.I thought I'd had a good look here, but it seems I just missed it. Bah! SP (UK) on an epic trek right around the world.
After a swim in emerald falls, we made a quick detour to grab this cache. TFTC. Log too wet (still), took photo of cache instead
TFTC. Nice quick find but the log was saturated and couldn’t be signed. Out with LisaO89 and Dat87
Found it. Out and about with LisaO89 and WayneO. Wet log, unable to sign but have a photo as evidence if needed by CO. TFTC
After having a great time relaxing with muggle friends in Cairns it was time to get out before the predicted storms struck and were not sure which roads are going to be closed so we filled up with supplies and let geocaching (especially adventure labs) guide us.
While it's not raining we are making use of the sunshine picking up a couple of off the main road caches that may not be accessible if the predicted amount of rain comes. Continuing on this road and really enjoying the scenery definitely made this detour worthwhile. Once at gz the grass was up over our heads so we wandered up and down trying to find the best approach, once through that it was a much easier walk along the pipeline and the cache was found exactly where the GPSr needle was pointing. Unfortunately the log was a little bit wet but we got our name on the first page next to Liz & Bruce.
Many thanks for showing us this location.

Still catching up on over 2000 logs to do from our trip. This is a location that we weren't expecting to visit but are so pleased we did. At last the weather is great so GT37 and I are having a great time exploring and caching as we go. We found this one with no problems at all but the log was seriously drowned. Thanks for placing the cache for us to find.
Tried going over the pipe but I thought I could see it from under. Quick find, tftc.
Thanks for giving us a reason to explore. Good hide. Placed in a new log sheet
After a few days of seriously hot days around Laura,
I retreated back to the tablelands today to cool off
Between Mareeba and Atherton,
I detoured out along Tinaroo Creek Road to reach the pipe.
'Bout half way between the turn off and GZ,
I passed an elderly gent on a mountain bike enjoying the ride along Hal's Road
Shamed again
My MTB was in the back of the air conditioned geomobile
At GZ all was quiet.
Not a single gurgle coming from the pipe !!
The cache was found pretty quickly in the shade
TFTC and detour.

Tftc. Found this with dad bretto77 over a year ago.just realised I haven't logged it but my name is signed in log a year ago
OMG, are you serious? The grass is really high and the first attempt to fight through, ended in Mrs TMR bein bitten by something nasty and very painful, no clue what it was, maybe one of those jumping ants. After gathering some more courage we tried again and finally found the cache.

I tried to climb under to the other side! That was not going to happen! Ha ha tftc
Quick find after visiting Emerald Falls, that grass is a weed that seeds at this time of the year. Thanks for the cache.
More long grass and burrs. I was used to it by now, so i waded through the long wavy grass and found the cache where I expected it to be.
Easy find for the geokids after hunting along this area. Quick sign of the log and replaced the cache to its home. Thanks for bringing us here, to a place we would not otherwise travel too. TNLN TFTC
Tablelands holiday. Was raining but this didnt stop us doing a cross country trip to find this cache. A lovely drive through the tablelands area we had never done before. TFTC
Heute hat ein Mitglied vom Team kuli01 diesen Cache gefunden. Soweit ist hier alles in Ordnung. TftC
Woohoo! Found it! On a hot day in our off the sealed road adventure haha
We were very fortunate as the grass has been mown near the cache making it a pleasure to walk to the cache. SL TFTC
The grader grass was a little off putting...luckily the geodad was dressed for just such an adventure. Love a good drive in the country. Thanks for the cache.
Located the pipe easily enough. You followed it along at various times on the drive to this GZ.
Some tall weeds needed to be pushed aside, but the coordinates took us right to where we needed to focus out attention.
A sneakier hide than the previous two along this road, so we did spend a bit off time scratching around before the cache was located.
Thanks Dad&Geokids for these caches. A fun drive.

Came looking for this as part of the three on this road. Not keen to be walking through long grass and weeds in the height of snake season so will leave this and the others for the cooler months.
Travelling around Australia using Geocaching as our Tour Guide.
Staying in Walkamin for a few weeks, today we headed out to find a few smilies and visit a couple of waterfalls. Somehow we also made a stop at the local ice creamery!

Still meandering around northern Australia after attending the Red Centre Experience over Easter, but gradually heading south towards home.
Having found two of your caches already, I could not stop, so was soon at GZ with CIH. Stamped the log and replaced. Thanks for placing and maintaining this series of caches for us to enjoy Dad&Geokids. Keep up the great work.

Out and about on a country drive today from Mareeba, loving this route. Beautiful countryside, pretty farms.
Thanks Dad&Geokids for the hide.

TFTC. We are closing in on our departure date from the Tablelands. We have managed to fill in some dates on our calendar and managed to score the Mary Hyde souvenir. Now we wanted to clear some of the local Mareeba caches. A lovely day for a Country drive and to explore some of back roads, Emerald Falls and Davis Creek. All of the finds were pretty straight forward and we got some lovely views.
This one not in my gps pocket query, strange as others are. Anyway while recovering from falls walk I found enough reception to find some co rods on the phone, entered in gps then backtracked for an easy find thanks
What a big pipe! It's actually a section of the East Barron Main Channel.
The pipeline runs about 10km from Nardello's lagoon near Walkamin, to the East Barron Balancing Storage pond at Cobra Road. From there it continues as an open channel for another 6km or so, irrigating lots of farms and orchards along the way. (Mangoes and lychees, mmm...)
Seems a strange choice of hiding spot for the cache. Maybe it was more covered with vegetation when placed? Or has moved? Log sheet is getting a bit tatty - handle with care. Took nothing, left dinosaur and marbles.

what a long pipe I wonder what made you decide this exact spot for the cache. Another fun find.
