After a few DNF logs, we went to do a bit of maintenance and unfortunately, after lots of searching, could not find the cache. We would love to keep it going, however are unable to continue maintenance on a regular basis. We have therefore decided it would be best to archive it. Thanks for finding it over the past few years!

Searched for this one with Talla64, taybee and taybee nz and even with four pairs of eyes we were unsuccessful.
**taybee** is caching again with **taybee nz** , **Talla64** and **FLowerydaze**

This was no fun! Not only Ivy, but she brought along some other friends; Holly and her sisters; Rose; and Berry brought her whole whanau. Nuisance as I needed the coordinates for a Challenge
A nice quick find near the lovely garden. The new log book is fine, so the CO can post a maintenance performed log and remove the needs maintenance attribute. Cheers for the cache
Pretty much where my GPSr was pointing me. The cache had water in it and the log was mush. I added a sheet of waterproof paper in another ziplock bag. TFTC
Nice easy cache to find, once in the correct area...
Coordinates were completely wrong for me, but that's cool...read the description and was in the first place I thought to look ..tftc

Beautiful day today so decided to go for a drive to grab some caches. Took a while here but was able to come up trumps. Co-ordinates were a little out for us and log book was soaked. Tftc an bringing us to a beautiful spot.
A nice quick find today. Cache and log book are quite soggy.
Christmas holiday road trip to Auckland. Day three, a shortish drive to Palmerston North.
Thanks to all CO's for publishing and maintaining their caches. Cheers.

round and round in circles till we spied the honey pot. Managed to etch our name into the soaking wet log. TFTC # 14.942
Log urgently needs replacing as it is sodden. A new container - more waterproof than an old honey container - would also be a good idea.
#897. On a Steam Inc Heartland Flyer steam train trip from Paekakariki to Woodville, there was a refreshment stop at the little town of Shannon. First job before getting a coffee, was looking for this cache. It took a little longer than anticipated, but then all of a sudden, there it was! Have to say the container is not really suitable for the job, and the log, even inside its plastic bag, is well and truly sodden. Just managed to sign, but it really needs drying out or replacing completely.
Tftc Maxella22. Have driven thru Shannon many times, but never been to this Memorial garden before.

Driving back to Wellington after visiting friends in Palmerston North. Stopped here quickly to finally grab a cache in Shannon! Quick find.

On our way from Paraparaumu to Turangi to stay with our friends in their bach there we took the scenic route and what a marvellous way it was too.no problems here i found the cache while Mr CD went back to the car for our walking poles. So was ready to sign when he returned. TFTC
Stopped in Shannon on way to palmy headed to the vet and grabbed this one, neatly tucked away and pleased to find so quickly. Log book damp but still okay
We had a relaxing morning in Levin picking Blueberries for Christmas Day and had a big play at the Adventure Park. On our way home we found this and were fortunate enough to be in the shade as the sun was out in full force. About 18 months ago we found the bison tube hanging in the Rimu tree nearby. We enjoyed learning about the memorials. Thank you.
We have now only 7 to go before Sunday as we want our 200th one to be found while on holidays in NZ. Biggested clue was in the description.
A quick stop to search for this cache which I noticed on my in-car GPSr. The cache fits into the surroundings well and I think I was lucky to find it as quickly as I did. TFTC, Maxella22.
Heading to Wellington Mega a day earlier with Squirrel Nutcase and NZ Flossy a day earlier.
Out to collect caches that we have previously passed.
So sorry cache owners, we had a fairly large find today so it's a copy and paste day.
Thanks everyone for their cache placements that we found. SLTFTC

WENZ Mega Weekend is almost here... Motoring south today with Gap (of Fap and Gap), and NZFlossy. Our intention is to cache our way to our accommodation in Lower Hutt... The big news of the day is that Highway 1 is closed at Pukerua Bay. A truck crash and chemical spill have shut down all lanes coming to and from Wellington. We have plenty of caches to find to keep us occupied, but this could be a long wait...
Friday: Our final push in the area will take us through the communities of Opiki, Shannon, and Foxton... This was quite a difficult search, as the iPhone was struggling under the tree cover. When the cache was discovered, it was almost dismissed as rubbish. TFTC.

On my way to the mega with Squirrel Nutcase and Fap and Gap. Having lots of fun and enjoying the ride and the scenery. It’s what I love about caching - great company and visiting great places. Thanks to all the COs for all their caches Hopefully we see some of them at the mega this weekend TFTC
Found it with the kids on the school holidays after a bit of walking through and googling what an ivy plant is found it!
A quick easy find under the trees with our grandchildren hayleyhnz, hannahhnz and hollyhnz, with Hayley spotting the cache. An interesting and perhaps unusual decision to group all the memorials together. TFTC
17th and the last of the day. A big day for us which has definitely help us get close to finding all the creatures. I remember finding a cache here in my last NZ trip. TFTC.
Found last week on the way back from Wellington. I didn't have a pen so took a photo. Thanks for the cache in an interesting location.
My GPS zeroed out while I was still on the grass. Made my way into the trees and after dodging a fair bib of glassware managed to spot it. TFTC
A quick find on the drive south. I recall another cache in the memorial park itself a year or so ago.
Log a little damp and wee bit of litter at GZ. Otherwise all good.

No better thing to do than to hunt geocaches while having to hang around Shannon for work today
An appropriate hint helped me with this one

This took much longer to find than I anticipated, and was in danger of ending up as a DNF. Unfortunately the GPRs was not in the mood to settle and took me on quite a little journey of the circular kind!
But got it eventually, TFTC

One of 12 located today on way from Wellington to Palmerston North for a couple of days over Easter. Took a while to find this cache. Coords on iPhone were all over the place! And, as Mrs tbird points out, “It helps if you know the difference between holly and ivy!” #1693. TFTC.
P.S. It was actually she who found this one.

Finally brought a car that I had want for the last 3 years and had to fly up to Auckland to drive it back to Dunedin. So 2 birds with one stone a new car and caching all the way home. This is one of many on the trip home was a nice and easy one to find this was full of earwigs yack I hate them. TFTC
Shannon is a lovely little town even with all the through traffic. When I saw where thus was I groaned but the hint was a great help. Thanks for the placement Maxella22
Nice park...found it nice and easy...thanks Maxella for bri nging me here great we town
Going down South from our amazing visit at Owlcatraz we had a break near the station for lunch with StefTheVet and BabyLeoNZ. Our gps guided us well to the cache which we found quickly with the hint though it is well hidden. Logbook is a bit wet. We like the old houses in Shannon like the station building and the post office. Thanks for leading us to this location and TFTC!
This seemed very familiar. I'm sure we've found a cache here before, but good to have another one here.
It took a little bit of searching for, with the GPS jumping around a bit. But we widened the search area and soon spotted the cache.
We left a pet rock - a hedgehog.
Thanks for putting this here Maxella22

On holiday with the family. We always drop our dog off at Jazzmore Kennels and stop for Foxton Fizz just up the road from here.
We decided to get our geocache for the day while we were here. The cache is in good condition. All nice and dry.
Thank you

Stopped in Shannon on the way down to Wellington for Mr Jamogens birthday weekend and so had to grab the latest cache! Co-ords a bit off but found it in the end! Thanks for hiding!
A little detour off the main road when heading back to H.B. I've look for this one last time I was in the area with no success. Took advice from a previous log about the co-ordinates, soon had cache in hand. Co-ordinates about 10 meters out. Cheers
GPS all over the place but pointing out on to the grass. After about 30 minutes gave it a miss.
I'd had a look previously and couldn't locate the cache. The hint item just seemed to be everywhere. This time I must have approached it slightly differently and suddenly it made sense. Got it second time round.
It is not the first time we've come for a cache here. We used the co-ordinates supplied by Gr33nslime as the published ones had us in the middle of the grassed area.
+ a marble, - nothing.

I looked for this a while ago and beat about the bush with no luck and finally gave up but today as i was passing i thoght i would try my luck yet again and this time i basically went straight to it!! , although i had to sneak in the 'back' way as muggles were around the ,memorial . It is good to change this blue face to a shiny smiley face at last. Thank you for this cache and another smiley face.
Popped by here en route Palmy to home on a Sunday afternoon. I'd previously found a cache in this locale.
I visited here with team cacher zboywonder and together we figured things out. Previous logs helpful because the possibilities are quite abundant.
A reasonably straightforward find after a bit of a search.
Cache all in order, log signed, and cache then re-hidden safely.
TFTC

It's a real shame that GZ is such a rubbish tip. Cache found reasonably quickly using the 10m away from where the GPS was pointing technique... TFTC
The coordinates seemed to be about 10m out today but this one didn't take too long to find thanks to the hint which soon made sense. Thanks for placing this one Maxella22, these attractive gardens are worth a stop.
Heading north to see the family and do some cache maintenance. The geocaching way - the wiggliest route between any two given points. Hey! Is this the inverse function of the salesman's route problem?!? I think it is!
I've been here before. It seems like nearly every time that a cache gets archived another pops up to replace it!
Place is a bit of a rubbish dump, though. Could use a CITO.

First cache of the day with Wandering Dragons, Violet Butterfly, Astro Hunter and Mycro Man (and his brother). Tried this one a while ago with no luck, but today was a quick and easy find. T4TC

Ten to Wellington. A couple of caches to start us home. Out with @Pollykareko. TFTC//
Went to Shannon to visit the library, checked the map and went treasure hunting. A quickish find. Thanks
