Stage 3 of our trip is a few days on the North Island of New Zealand. Thanks to all the COs for placing and maintaining caches for us to find. Day 1 Quick find at the Airport when arrived before we headed down to Pirongia to say with friends. Day 2 I spotted a multi in Hamilton which took us on a tour of street art. So we headed into town for a stroll around. After lunch, a walk was in order so we stopped at Lake Ngaroto and walked and geocached around.
My first time visiting Lake Ngaroto...and I will be back; what a lovely walk.Yep, a big bridge (by Ngraroto standards) and a quick find. Hopefully the stones will keep this one in place. Thanks iammrwalker#5341
Bag/cache was out in the open today so tried to hide it a bit better. May need a container upgrade!
Found it thank you. Geocache is now in a bag not a container. Did a rock swap again
Night walk around the lakeLittle cold and wet but very clear eveningTotal 6 found, 7 attempts on the walkTFTC
Quick find here different container than I was expecting, log signed and replaced as found
Thanks for your amazing cache. I really appreciate the time you took to set up and maintain your caches. Found with Fisha1288 Cheers, Cympull.
Another place for a bit of a rest. I almost burnt my hand getting and replacing the cache. As mentioned by a previous catcher there is no container for this cache. Although it is a big plastic bag, and I folded it up a couple of times before replacing it, there are holes in it and it might not last very long.
Out doing the Lake Ngaroto Loop on a scorcher day. This was a quick find of the hiding place, but there was no sign of the container. Just the bag holding the log and some swag left in situ. Has somebody deliberately targeted the outer container? Could the CO check this out? Log all dry, but relatively unprotected. Tftc!
I left work after a sleepover shift with the intention of going home for a sleep but before i made it home i decided what my body really needed was some fresh air and exercise so i came her to complete the caches i havent finished yet. I have 2 travel bugs hanging out with me at the moment. Say hi to The travel house and The voodoo troll. A quick find here. Thanks for the cache.
Found it. Pretty easy. Thank you. There is no container, just a bag. Hopefully that is right
No container, only the zip lock bag containing the logbook! Straightforward otherwise.
This one's not particularly waterproof, just in a ziplock may have lost its container?
Found successfully - 7th for the day. However, there was just a bag with the log in it. Looks like it's in the same spot shown in photos from precious finders. There is no sign of the container, unfortunately.
We stayed here overnight in our campervan. So we couldn’t leave this place without finding these ones!

Greetings from BC, Canada.
We are a family of 5 on vacation in New Zealand. Cachers in the family include BeesKnees34, SOB_4M, AlexBN16 and me. We have been enjoying the beautiful landscape and visiting some awesome locations.
Stopping along the way to grab some cool caches. We targeted high favourite, old caches, different cache types and some other caches along our routes.
Thanks to all the cache owners for creating, placing and maintaining these great geocaches!
Enjoyed the walk around the lake and finding the caches here.
Thanks iammrwalker for the fun cache!

SC Freedom camping here for the weekend so we can walk around the Lake & do all the Caches. Thanks to all the CO's !
Another great sized container.
I wasn't sure how to utilize the little rocks to secure it, but it shouldn't wander off from its hiding place.
Thanks for putting this here

Lots of rain this morning, but when it got a bit lighter we set out to find our first New Zealand caches! Had lots of fun hiking around the lake and seeing new birds, and finding caches of course. Great place to camp and explore, TFTC!
Lots of muggles about so didn’t risk taking it from its spot. Great hide though!
Cutting a lap around the lake and learning about the area’s history.
Huge cache!! Favourite point for the series.
Sandyofthesea and I took off from Perth, Western Australia at the start of April to travel more of Australia using geocaching as a guide to see the sights. We are now in the North Island of New Zealand for two weeks seeing family and finding caches.
iammrwalker, I found Ngaroto#5 -Big Bridge today. Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache.

Huge! Nice big cache for us today cheers.Over from the UK visiting family in Te Kuiti, exploring the north island and caching! So we're taking trips where we stay for a few days/week at a time before moving on to somewhere else or a few places before going back to spend time with family and back out again on another adventure. Having just done a trip to Cambridge and the Bay of Plenty we've gone back to Te Kuiti. Looking like it was going to be a nice day we set the plan to walk the lake with J's mum and sister. Caching with Louf71.(Sorry for the very very late Log, between limited Data, some issues with our travel, some personal issues and a build up meaning the ADHD couldn't cope tackling these but finally getting logged Please forgive)
Stayed the night and took a stroll around the lake and cleaned up a few caches'
Cheers

Tyfc, without outing the hunt details, circumstances at GZ mean the hint doesn't apply. Otherwise, a great cache
Decided to book the caregiver for Junior cacher.....first time since the Covid-19 lockdown starting August 2021, and headed down here for a cycle and to collect a few caches about......
Continued on around the lake seeing more dead fish baking in the sun making the smell stronger........
Had to travel in this clockwise direction as we were cycling...as per the sign at the start....
