Visiting from Adelaide to see family for the festive season, and today its time to tackle more of the CCT and surrounding caches here.Found this cache and signed the log. Many thanks for the placement and the ongoing maintenance!Attracted to this one due to the DT rating, and I qualify for this find as per the checker too.
I signed the log for this challenge cache on 23/7/22. Then, I was still working on meeting the 4x4x4 DT grid requirement. However, I now qualify for this challenge, and thus am logging my find. Thanks ZQX for a fun, number-filled challenge. Those pesky D1.0/T4.0 and D3.5/T1.0 squares were the last ones I had to fill for the fourth time, and doing so felt real good. ##### Qualification details follow and are also in photo attached. Great view of the city. Visited and signed with catnap777 on the way up the track at about 9:15am. We got smart and did what we could of the "walky" ones on our wish list at the start of each day leaving our afternoons/evenings for finding driveby caches and challenges to sign. When we left for home, we had quite a collection to sort out. Again we had a long list and a tight schedule, and again we have been amazed at what we can achieve in the time we have. TFTChallenge ZQX.
Cache found and log signed with dalerious . We came to Canberra with an immense and impressive list of caches. There was a huge variety and types, covering Yass and Goulburn as well .The priority for us this trip, was to sign as many Challenge caches as we could. There were many we had to hike for . There were a few that were not found which was disappointing, but plenty that were found and signed. Some beautiful country was covered by foot and vehicle, and we had a ball.I will be using this generic log for all of the Challenge caches, but I will mention if there was an issue with the hide, container or log where possible .Please accept my humble thanks for all CO's effort on placing out these awesome Challenges for us to find, sign and one day qualify for.I have logged all as a Write Note, and I will duly log them as Found as I start to work through them all .
#4137 On my way back down from Bruce’s Climb I thought I may as well pick up this one on my way through. Then realised I qualify. So thanks for the challenge.

A nice challenge, that works as a nice motivation along the way to a full grid or after that first loop.
The cache is very unassuming in that location a d luckily well known so to be spotted.
I full this challenge by having 8 of the 4x4 loops done.
Thank you ZQX for putting the cache out and maintaining it.

When I first ran the checker on this I was surprised I was only one short on D4T3.
So a bit of looking with the filter tool had several identified.
Those obviously not being easy ones. The one selected in the end was one from the alien series on Bullen range.
Just to tick off a few more in my 3 shades of green challenge quest.
This was a sharp little climb up to this spot but well worth the effort.
Thanks for the interesting challenge that didn't require 6 months of effort to qualify.

We signed the log as we passed by, and then have checked to see if we qualify for this challenge. Happy to report we got a green tick for this one.

This is a really weird one for me, because I used to own this cache.
And this is the first time I've ever tried to log a cache that I once owned.
I'm not even sure that geocaching.com will allow me to claim a find.
I'll find out after I submit this log.
Thanks to DSD for keeping this one alive, after I decided that it had to go.

I have signed this cache on the 18th of July 2021, but was missing a few caches.
I just got the last one I needed as my 4000th find and because project-GC has not caught up yet, I will post a screenshot of my DT Loop. That last cache also finished my 4th Loop and signing this cache will finish my 5th Loop.

#12269 - 10:10; Found this cache and signed the log on 19 May 2018 on a trip through the Goo' with Sol de lune and fitzy_1965. Ironically, I still needed four caches to actually qualify for the find! The first three of those came relatively quickly, but I still needed one more 3.5/4. Only noticed that I qualified while perusing ProjectGC stats, so happy to finally log this one as found.

A quick find in a lovely location. Good to see that we qualify . TFTC ZQX.
**Our Stroll**
With GeoPartner and caching buddy we strolled for just 3.5 hours today. It was a short 8kms with 320m of ascent/descent around the steeper slopes of Mulligan's Flat. There were glorious views as the rolling hills are a vivid green. However, the wind was quite strong making it less pleasant to be out despite the beautiful Spring sunshine.
Although wet underfoot there was less water lying about on the slopes. As we needed to zig zag up and down the slopes we left our bikes at home today. The main Gas Pipeline Track below on the flats is in really good condition for cycling . While there were plenty of people cycling and walking on the main track we did not encounter anyone on the higher trails where it is far prettier and interesting.
We saw less kangaroos today, all where mainly in the distance. We saw three Shingleback Lizards and this made our day. We saw numerous large birds enjoying the high winds, and a few raptors hovering over the grasslands ready to swoop for prey.
All three tree climbs were easy so I was very happy to do the honours. I only like the easy stuff. All caches were easy to locate and all in excellent condition.
Two favourite points for the group of caches found today. Thx for the puzzle caches that were yet again a group effort enabling me to have some fun while we was out and about getting our exercise.

With our two weeks of quarantine now over we jumped at the opportunity for a family outing. Nothing too big but pleeeeeeeeenty of fresh air. Parked outside the gates in the usual spot and headed on in. The Matetrix, Czechboy14 (formally geokid2) and MilesMorales2 (formally geokid3) zoomed along, geowife and I attempting to keep up.
Quickly up to GZ where CB14 spotted the sneaky hide. Signed and replaced we admired the views and watched the sun begin to set, just breaking through the clouds above the horizon.
Back down to the geomobile for the quick drive home having enjoyed our time back out in the great outdoors. TNLNSL TFTC

This weekend from 17-21/06/2021, I joined georode and gridge98 in visiting our nation's capital, Canberra for geocaching adventures. We prioritised the higher difficulty-terrain combinations, as well as the more special/unique cache types.
On Thursday, I largely spent the day solo and visited Black Hill lookout, the Botanic Gardens, Australian National University and nearby Canberra Central, and then gridge98 and I walked around the front of Parliament area in Parkes.
Friday was spent completing a few hikes in Goorooyarroo Nature Reserve and Kowen Escarpment Nature Reserve, before then meeting locals at a Friday evening dinner event.
Saturday was predominantly the UFO series in Bullen Range Conservation Reserve, targeting the higher terrain ridge area.
On Sunday, we arose to the morning's CITO event, before returning to Goorooyarroo Reserve for more walking around those hills.
Finally on Monday, gridge98 and I headed north to Yass for the Birds of Australia Wherigo series, a few climbing caches, and returning to ACT completing the UGC series.
Today, we had planned and completed two half-day hikes. Our morning was spent at Goorooyarroo Reserve walking 17.3 km the hilly terrain. After lunch, we headed to Kowen Reserve targeting the CBR Wherigo geoart series, and walked a further 8.3 km up and down some further questionable terrain, before the heavens opened up and the rain fell. We finished the day with a pizza and beer at a Watson meet and greet event where we had a chance to see the locals.
We found this geocache whilst walking through Goorooyarroo Reserve, making the find reasonably quickly. The cache container and logbook were in good shape, although the logbook was just a random receipt paper. We were glad to have found this before it got archived; Thanks ZQX for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance.

I used [Project-GC](https://project-gc.com/Challenges/GC6ZX3Q/24543 "Project-GC Challenge Checker") to see if I qualified for this challenge, and I did. I have 49 entries of 49 needed in my difficulty 1.0-4.0 and terrain 1.0-4.0 grid with a minimum value of 4.
Day 1 of our Geocaching Hiking weekend with Davidwazza and gridge98 in Canberra. The 17.3km / 6 hour loop took us up to a few different hills of the Goorooyarroo Nature Reserve with great caching rewards on the way.
Thanks for the cache and the puzzle

This morning walk around the park we had all of these puzzles solved plus a few trads we found along the way, a great walk and all caches found were in good condition
This weekend I headed to Canberra with Davidwazza and Georode after being asked a month or so ago if I would like to join them for 4 days, planning occurred and a list of 110 targets were chosen consisting of DTs, oldies and special cache types.
Day 1, I arrived in the evening and headed out with David Wazza for a few hours before georodes arrival, we headed to capital hill to find some random caches in the freezing cold.
Day 2, we set off early in the morning for a half day hike around Goorooyarro Park collecting all the puzzles and a few trads in the area, after lunch we had walked 17km for the morning, off we headed to kowen forest for some of the CBR wherigos, half way around it started to pour so called it early and thought doing the drive bys in the series would be a much better idea, in the evening we went to an event and was great to meet a few locals.
Day 3, we set off before the sun had risen for the main target of the day, the UFO series, with so many in the series we focused on the ones along the fire trail and a few in the paddocks, despite being buggered we walked another 18km for the day, in the afternoon we targeted some of our target list in the southern area
Day 4, after a morning CITO we headed back to Goorooyarra Park to complete the remaining caches in the area and finish the L and P plate series, another walk completed over 15km for the trip, in the afternoon we drove around the northern suburbs collecting caches off our target list
Day 5, after dropping georode off at the airport, davidwazza and I headed to Yass for the birds of Australia series and a few of the challenges in the area, after completing the caches we headed back to Canberra past a few caches before attacking the entire UGC series, being tight for time the trip wouldn’t have been complete without going to the Canberra nature park to collect the oldest caches
Total of 356 caches plus a few labs along the way,
Thanks for the caches and their placements

I plan to archive this cache 12 months from now. If you've been working towards the challenge but haven't found the cache, you have another 365 days from today (8 May 2021) to complete the challenge and sign the logbook.
Well after signing this cache way back on 09/09/2017, I FINALLY qualify for it !!! It took a massive trip over to Vic/SA for me to finally get my qualifying caches and now I am finally there.

When I first looked at this challenge I had quite a lot of work to do before qualifying. I slowly chipped away at it until recently aching a green check. Today was the day to head to the GZ. Once I saw the surroundings I had an idea of what to look for. Soon enough the cache was in hand. TFTH

This week consisted of getting away from work early enough to visit for or five caches either on my scooter or driving to try and continue building up my calendar finds days. Some days needed a specific cache type as well. A very hot week that made caching in my riding coat very cumbersome.
My journey took me to the Goo reserve again. At least this was down hill from the last cache, not quite what I expected, but found and qualified for.

Sadly this one eluded me. A jungle of prickly plants confounded my search. Pretty sure I knew what I needed to find, but even with my bike gloves the spikes were too much.
I am so happy to finally be able to claim this cache. I picked up the last one to complete yesterday and that was an effort in itself. I have worked so hard to get this let alone walking up the hill to find it ages ago but a great challenge to keep me out there.

Cache 5710 on 3 Feb 2020.
After a mixed up day at work and an appointment in the afternoon, I figured that this afternoon was a good time to get a few caches, not being 41 degrees and all! So Bobl27 and I headed to Ainslie to find the last of the Hometown Ramble series and a couple of others. It was hot in the sun but pleasant in the shade, so that is where we headed when we could.
I signed the log for this challenge in June 2017, thinking it would not take me long to find the last few caches needed. It took me a bit longer than planned , but am glad to say I finally can get a smiley for this one.

19,789. Logging this as found after finally getting that 1 elusive 1.0/4.0 that I was missing.
I found and signed this one on 19 May 2018 with SDL and LL. I wrote a note at the time as I was missing just one of the 196 caches needed for the challenge. Well I knocked off the missing cache by doing Memories in Tidbinbilla today, so finally turning this into a smilie
Thanks ZQX !! Nearly finished the Goo !

Went for a walk this morning with ilook4geo to find this cache which adds to a spot in the D/T chart. It was quite easy to recognise the container and we sat for a few minutes after both signing the log, to recover from the climb. Many thanks to ZQX for putting this challenge out there, as well as for the cache placement.
Just writing a note at this stage as am still working towards qualifying for this challenge.
Having previously signed this one at the pass mega event. Today i finally qualify please see below. It has be a journey to get the last couple on the grid with caches going missing and shenanigans on the southern highlands with deletions and reclassification. So I am logging this one in a hurry. Thanks ZQX for setting up the challenge and the placement. Cheers

Nice spot for a cache thanks for the cache and the adventure signed dsd or DARKSIDEDAN depending on the size of the cache
Second big day of caching around Canberra. Not so much hills today, so a lot more caches. Still walked more then 20 km in total, a pushbike would have been handy here and there! Weather was good and dry till I finished and almost ideal for caching, except for the cold start in the morning. All caches were found easily and were in good condition, thanks to all the owners for putting them out there. The trail here is just as good for walking as bike riding!

Another of these challenges that I am sooooo close to qualifying for but not quite there yet. This one has me three combos short. Interestingly I believe there is a challenge up in north-eastern Victoria which is on the same terms so when I do qualify, it'll be a twofer. This cache actually did take me a little time to spot. Heaven knows why. It's not as if there are that many spots to hide a cache on this slope.
The Clear Water Mega event finished yesterday, but I decided to stay on for a couple of days to seek out a few more caches that interest me and explore more of Canberra and surrounds.
Today my main aim was to finish off the last half dozen or so challenge caches that I was wanting to get and find a few other target caches to the north of the city. Once again it has returned to great weather, which was just as well as my days activities involved a couple of longer walks.
I wandered around the Mulligans Flat Reserve for much of the morning, then spent the afternoon chasing the remaining challenge caches and a few others along the way in the nearby Gooyooraroo Nature Reserve.
This was one of the challenge caches that I had targeted for the afternoon. It was quite a slog getting up that steep hill, but at least it was an easy find.
The challenge checker at Project-GC confirms that I meet the requirements for this challenge.
Thanks ZQX for the challenge and the cache.

It was finally time to attend an interstate Mega event and this was my final day here got up bright and early to do a couple of hill climbs and bush walks and river walks to find a couple I ran out of time on a couple of years ago when we were last here. I also wanted to find a couple of old ones to help qualify for a challenge I collected yesterday.
Nice steep hill !! I was quite warm once I reached the cache and I found it straight away so didn't get much of a rest before moving on.

A check of my statistics have confirmed that I have qualified to log this cache as found. It was an enjoyable walk to the cache that got the heat pumping but an easy enough find when we got to GZ. A copy of my DT grid is attached.
I decided to travel down from Brisbane to the Mega in Queanbeyan and spend 2 weeks here and in Canberra collecting caches on a rather lengthy to-do list.
Today the scheduled plan had been to go for a lengthy walk in Namadgi National Park but a fuel system warning light came on in the car only 20 minutes from my destination. With the Easter public holidays approaching I reluctantly turned back and went on the hunt for a mechanic to fix the problem rather than have the car out of action for the next couple of days.
With the issue fixed for the moment, I had to implement a back up plan for which caches I would now find. Goorooyarro Nature Reserve turned out to be "Plan B" and this was one of the caches in my sights.
The animals in this area must be some mean characters if they need this level of fencing to keep them under control!! I thought I was entering a high security prison as I entered through the gate near my parking spot. The fence was to be my nemesis all day, constantly finding myself on the wrong side when trying to access a cache. At least for this cache I didn't have to do any back tracking.
No problems with qualification on this challenge, with 6 complete DT loops completed. TFTC

The novos are in Canberra for the Clear Waters Mega event today and tomorrow.
Enjoying my time in the Goorooyarroo Reserve today immensely! I came in to this cache with my bike from the north after doing 8x ZQX caches further up around Old Joe hill, and 1x Miskit cache ...and have not seen a trail in hours! So it was nice to finally emerge from nowhere land, find and log this cache, and soon find a trail out! We don't quite qualify for this challenge as yet with just one square to go (only have three D4/T1 squares). We will chime back in to claim the find once we qualify fully.

We do so love a Challenge cache, and so even before we arrived in Australia we had been looking forward to coming to find the Challenge caches in this area, and so this afternoon we hiked along another section of the Centenary Trail, caching our way towards our main targets. Once we had found the two furthest away Challenge caches (this being one of them) we set off towards the Trig Point with the idea of hiking a geocaching circuit. It would have been a good plan but we were thwarted by a very tall electric ️ fence (the other fences we climbed over), where at one point the only way through to the side we needed to be on was by crawling under the fence via a gated culvert. Due to the electric fence we had to skip a couple of the caches we had hoped to find on the way back down, but at least we did find a way in to access Ground Zero for this cache, the last of the four Challenge caches we searched for in the area. All in all it was a very successful afternoons hike, albeit definitely made harder than expected due to the anti-geocaching fence! The nicely camouflaged cache was soon located once at Ground Zero and log book signed. We also qualify for this Found It log having at 49 entries out of 49 required with a min value of 4 as confirmed by Project GC and as per the proof attached. Thanks so much for the cache and a favourite point awarded for the Challenge. Greetings from Zimbabwe

Find #10115
SedgwickDave and I continued our walk through the park, picking up select caches as we traveled along. This one was a quick find and pretty sure I had qualified.

I had to work hard for this challenge even though most of the squares had ample numbers in them. There were 2 that took me quite some time to nudge up to the magical 4 and even some months later, one is still sitting at 4.
I had planned to collect my prize in February but at that stage I was met by a locked gate.
Having spent 3 nights camping at the Clear Waters Mega, I decided to swing past on my way home to the annual Easter family gathering. I had joined up with TARDIS0061 at a previous cache and he was also heading to the Goo so we both walked up to this one. Boy was it getting warm on this beautiful autumn day or was it just the little hill...
Great challenge! And will definitely return to find many of the other puzzles in my solved list.

Down for Mega, but staying out here so I've targeted caches of interest (to me) - including this one. I like challenges, but I liked the look of this location a lot ... and it did not disappoint. An awesome many (many) km hike around the place today, dodging legless lizards, kangaroos and electric fences.

Down for the Mega with PPE and we figured a bit of early morning hill climbing would bring out our natural grumpiness to set a theme for the day. Surprised (and amused) by the container. Thanks ZQX.

Reperio at 1130.
In Canberra for a few days to find some much sought after caches in the lead up to the Clear Waters Mega event, and today I headed towards Goorooyarroo Nature Reserve.
This was one challenge I probably had completed many moons ago, so it was great to be able to make the find for it today.
Marcus Vitruvius fulfils challenge 4x4x4 Challenge (GC6ZX3Q), according to https://project-gc.com/Challenges/GC6ZX3Q/24543
