After seeing it hasnt been found at all this year I checked twice over on both sides of the path to 20m in each direction for any sign of fishing line, odds are it has gone within the last 6 Months

Hint made for an easy find. It took away the challenge but in this heat, I was grateful for a quick hunt.

28-Jun-23
We walked along the path from the previous cache and after a check on both sides the tether was spotted and up came the container. Log signed and put back as found. Thanks Djmccullagh for a great hide.

Tftc! Took me while to find this one because my stupid gps was pointing to the wrong side!!

01-May-23
Heading home after a family catch up and decided to quickly grab a couple of caches. Parked about 300m from this one and casually walked up with geohubby. After approaching the area it didn't take too long to locate what I was looking for after changing my viewing angle. A quick grab and the cache was signed. All in great condition. TFTC.

01-May-23
Just grabbing a quick cache on the way home with CaptainKirky from having afternoon tea with family. Not a bad find if you have a fair idea what you are looking for.

Great series thanks for arranging.

Tftc,
HQ has said they will give us 3 souvenirs if we find 100 caches this month. With less than 2 weeks to go we have come south to make the finds. Collected the first 2 souvenirs easily enough. Now for the hard one.

We are hard core Stargate fans, BL has a dialling sequence tattoo,

TFTC! Didn't look that good to passing Muggles when looking for this cache. Someone asked if I was all good as I was looking over the bridge searching. Thanks to the Question mate, good man.

Cheers.

Out for the day with Davinells before a planned kayak tomorrow…

With us both hoping to qualify for this months Georode Challenge we’ve packed the climbing gear for some difficult ascents… and our day has been planned to the minute…. No time for flights of fancy…

This cache was not on the list… therefore the list lasted exactly one cache… I’d say I was surprised but I’m not…

Just a little back and forth and the tether was spotted…

Tftc…

Out and about today caching with Peppa and we are targeting difficult climbs for the October challenge.

Whilst this cache did not help the challenge we were so close so couldn’t leave it. Found after a short search. Tftc

I was over this way today and had a moment where I could sneak in a find. I wondered around and found the cache nicely. I have more to collect on this trail but for today it is just one .I will be back to collect more soon. I signed the log and replaced the cache as found. thanks for the hide and the fun here today.

#2 on my solo bike ride. This was a bit harder than the first fir the day. Reached out to a previous finder but I found it before they replied.

24-Apr-22
Last cache in the series for us and sadly it was a DNF. No luck finding it at all. Mrs EMC is not happy with heights and trying to look for something in this location didn't work well. Not her type of thing. A really quick look for something, but nothing revealed itself so we cycled on. We have enjoyed our ride from Petrie to here so far. From here we cycled through Newport waterways and up to the tip of Scarborough before winding our way down the coast to the caravan park near Woody Point where we stayed in our tents. A great first day of our two day cycle trip. TFTH and the series!!!

Out and about on the north side cleaning up the north lakes caches. Had a bad early run with my finds but I’m starting to find my groove.

29-Mar-22
During my travel home, this was one of my last of the day, and it involved a short walk up the bikeway. The cache did take some searching, but after 5-7 minutes, I located the sneaky cache. The cache container and logbook were in good shape. Thanks Djmccullagh for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance.----------This afternoon, a trip was made to the Redcliffe Peninsula to Newport and Scarborough to grab a few geocaches, including a newly published cache. A nice was had around Scarborough Park just prior to a heavy rain downpour, and it was then time to make the drive home, stopping at a couple of last geocaches at North Lakes.

I took this week off, but it's been quiet as I hurt my back on Monday. Determined to get out today, I headed over to Mango Hill to pick up a few caches.

This was a nice quick find once I started looking on the other side of the pathway to where my GPS was pointing me.

Thanks!!

Spur of the moment hunt so I didn't have a pen on me. Doggo very confused about walking back and forth on the Bikeway haha. The little hint at GZ saved me. Great hide!

As I started my search, the bikeway maintenance vehicle appeared from behind me. I’ll have to come back another day.

29-Dec-20
This one took us quite a long time to find, and I’m sure we would not have without the hint. As it turned out, there was another little clue near GZ, but we still managed to miss the hide on our first pass. Luckily, there were not any people on the bikeway at this time.

Aiming to start the New Year with a nice round 4000 finds, I decided to pull the bike out and head out with La Kedi to collect all the caches along this bikeway. A nice variety of hides, some tricky, some straightforward and an enjoyable morning altogether. This was our final cache for the morning and it made us really work for it. We searched up to 20m either side of GZ on both sides of the path. Finally spotted by La Kedi on the second go around.

Agree with previous post that cache lid is rather loose and could easily come off by accident

It was an overcast and showery day...much cooler than previous days and I was out for a late afternoon bike ride with geo-friendly ptr and a friend. It had been a while since we had been on bikes so any excuse to stop to give aching thighs and butt was welcome. Smile

Once again the hint was a godsend. Before reading it I was looking for something magnetic! Even with the hint it took a while, and it was geo-friendly partner who finally spied it. Very clever hide.

Thank you for placing and maintaining this cache and this series. TNLN SL Smile

What a beaut outing on a slightly cooler morning, ‘tho it warmed up by the time we returned to base Pedalled around 30 kliks with Beardman75 from Petrie station to Kippa-Ring and back. The trip east was punctuated by Stargates and a few side bites. Pretty sure I was running on Red Bull on the much quicker trip back Logged 21 finds, 6 + 1 bonus DNF Hope to be back on the bike to clean up the map

Ms Maddy and I met up at Petrie Station for a ride to Kippa Ring and some caching along the way. It was overcast and cool when we started at 8am but quite sunny and warm by the time we arrived back at Petrie Station around 1pm. We found 21 caches and unfortunately DNF'd 6 caches but it was a fun morning out and the muffin at the turnaround point was well earned. Thanks for the cache

A day-long run around Pine Rivers shire today - this was my next stop. I looked for this during a bike ride once, but left empty handed, now I am back on foot and spotted it immediately. Some days I got it. Took a while to retrieve, sign and replace with the amount of passing muggles, but the bridge is noisy so I got early warnings. Happy to turn that frown upside down.

Thanks Djmccullagh for entertaining me at this location.
Cool *{Overall find #6885}* Cool

20/6/18 1:50 pm Find #1818
An early mark from work for the second day in a row (for good behaviour?! Razz) meant I was free to play for a couple of hours before school pick up time. So I decided to hit up this area for some caches.
Arriving in this familiar area, having started this series way back when they first came out, I began my short hike to GZ, followed by somewhat of a long search once there.
Well that was certainly a bit of a challenge!
However I took my time and eventually sat down to have a nice close look and saw what I was after. Definitely pay attention to which side you need to be on!
The lid of this container is slightly broken so not sure how much longer it will last, but it is still functioning for the time being.
Thanks for the cache Djmccullagh.

About time! After DNF'ing this cache twice before and over an hour looking, with a PAF to the CO and everything, it turns out that it was indeed exactly where it was supposed to be. FYI to future cachers, it's obviously not on the side where all the spiders are, and look carefully where your device says GZ is meant to be: the hint can be trusted, and the cache is there!

Out riding with hubby from Kipparing to Petrie. Made it all the way with 22 finds, a handful of dnfs and one rather spectacular fall from my bike.
This one took us ages to find, but walking back and forth slowly on both sides eventually netted us a find.

03-Apr-18
Second DNF here. This just turned into my new Nemesis

17-Mar-18
All good here. Log swapped whilst here.

28-Feb-18
No idea. Couldn’t see anything hanging nor anything that might indicate that something was hanging there. I think I must be missing something. Have to return some other days.
Thanks anyway Djmccullagh.

08-Feb-18
I do not have a great record with these types of caches and 12 months ago recorded this as a DNF. Today, caching with Dick (dickbev) I again bow to his greater powers of perception as he quickly had the cache in hand. TFTC djmccullagh.

Out with Roger of rbutto caching for the day. This one took quite a bit of finding but got there in the end. TFTC Djmccullagh Smile

This was our second crack at this cache. We had tried some time ago and failed miserably, we had to give up the search as one of the muggle teens needed a lift somewhere. Today we came back for another look in the hope of finding it to fit the Unique D/T challenge.

It was nice and quiet this afternoon out here, we thought that we would have to wait for passing bikers and walkers but no, we had the place to ourselves. We discovered the little give away and soon had the cache in our hands. The next part was getting the log out. We see some other cachers may have had the same problem as it was slightly cracked, so we used fairy like hands to not make the crack bigger. We could of just gone back to the car to grab our tweezers but you know how it is we each kept going ‘I’ll get it this time’. 30 minutes later we had it.

We added our name and returned as normal, not sure if we were exhausted from our day of caching or if the little guy took us out…

Finally out for some caching fun with barbb - it's been two weeks since we've managed to escape, LOL! Smile

Another of the SG1 caches I really enjoyed. barbb took one side, I took the other and it ended up being over with bb. It was so sunny that the contrast between the light and shadows was enormous - I wasn't sure how we were ever going to find this one. However barbb's eagle eyes picked up on the cache's hiding place and we soon had the log signed. TFTC Djmccullagh, a nice sneaky hide Big Grin
