A beautiful day to be down by the river! Thanks for the cache. We forgot our pen but have taken a photo of the log.
The river is beautiful! It was late afternoon when we found this one on our return trip to the car. Once the sun was setting, it became cold pretty quickly and we were happy to make a quick find here. We will look forward to coming back here in the summer and the warm sunshine to really enjoy a different perspective. Thanks Tankengine Domsky
Apparently some big fish make there way up this race. Would like to see that in person. Thanks for the cache
#1221 I stayed on the track for this one as Turtle had offered to head in and keep at least one of us dry. He battled through long grass and blackberries just to get to GZ. He sums it all up pretty well in his log.
Was good to have success here as we soon had no luck at Logjam 2 and then hit a roadblock we weren’t willing to cross today. All in all it was still great to visit a location/track I’d never been to before. Thanks Tankengine for bringing us here

#3084 With the current water level I wasn’t too sure of any luck when I first left the trail. Then there was the long wet grass, the sticky weed, the blackberries and numerous other flora that I don’t know the name of before I finally reached the rivers edge. From then on it was an easy find before making the return journey back to the trail to reunite with DT. No point both of us getting soggy socks so early on our journey. Thanks Tankengine for the cache.
It was hard to get to the waters edge here, lots of wild blackberries growing at the moment. When we got through there was a nice view of the river and we eventually found the cache after overlooking it on the first pass.
Went straight up to the top before realising I had to come straight back to the bottom. Tftc
I had the beat my way down to this one, the fresh grass & weed growth being very significant, but all was well and I got my name on the log
After a better night sleep at Condor I am ready for the important day. Hopefully the weather is going to be better than the last few days. Into Namadgi today for an event and a walk. This will put me on 20000 !! Woohoo, good milestone that I am proud of. After that caching my way home for a good night sleep in a bed.

Lockdown has bought a totally different approach to caching with the introduction of homework! Much time for homework in fact. Therefore many more puzzles solved, both as a solo and collective effort. Thanks to my fellow geo buddies for assistance when needed.
And in between there are still some traditionals, though not nearly as many of them left these days
Logs all in good condition unless otherwise noted.
Thanks to Tankengine for putting out and maintaining all of these caches for our enjoyment!

There has certainly been some water through here recently but the cache was up safe and sound and soon spotted. TFTC
Exploring the AL and caches around Tharwa, this was a pleasant walk on a hot day and a straightforward find at GZ. Took the obligatory picture of my first logjam. Thank you, Tankengine.
Out having a stroll checking out the abandoned car nearby, bit worried because someone might have wrekt my car whilst looking for cache but alas the pull was to strong. So I climbed through the thickets to find the lone tree always weary my car may have been in danger. But with luck by my side and friendship I found the cache before escaping back to safety. Thanks for the memories.
Late dusk, and I thought I heard stirrings from the burrow near GZ. Thanks for the adventure!
Decided to head off on a ramble along the river to find a couple of caches prior to the event. This was first on the list and took a little while to locate - the hint helped a lot though. Care needed to be taken with a big wombat hole on approach to GZ. TFTC.
Great to pick this one up. Walking up to do the DSD multi and thought we are going past, lets get them. Signed as Kayak Cachers and included Strangetrousers, Barb2e, Search4, Kittykatch, Nibletricecakes, Aykayam, GLISS! TikvaNZ and CBRCHIC enjoying a lovely walk along the river on a fabulous spring day. TFTC Tankengine all was good with it.
Out caching today with a group after the event. Signed as Kayak Cachers.

Bites and scrapes and muggles to dodge today whilst the local sheep and birds competed with their serenades. Wasn’t sure how easy this one was going to be to find, but Gliss! and I soon had the cache in hand. A lovely afternoon to be down by the river. Now it’s time to head to a party! Thanks for the cache.
After a drive in Namadgi, it was a nice walk along the creek for this find. TFTC Tankengine.
Out for a walk to regain fitness after knee replacement surgery.

Today I was joined by Fitzy_1965 and MinnieK for a trip down south. We had a few walks planned, but the Southern ones were aborted due to flooding in the Gudgenby River. We walked up to the Cemetery and then headed to Lanyon Homestead then did several ladder caches around town before dropping MinnieK off and heading home for a indoor evening.

After an exhausting walk yesterday, fitzy_1965 and I teamed up with Albida33 to grab some 'easier' caches today.
After a bit of a bush bash and worry that the river was going to be too high....Albida & I found the cache high and dry. Fitzy stayed at the car as he has already found this one.

Solo again, just relaxed into the peace and tranquility of the area. Not where I first tried to look but all good. Lovely view back to the bridge. TFTC
My first logjam, though suspect I’ve seen them before without realising. The river was very low but living a few kms downstream I’ve seen i

After doing a short section of the ALL7 mega trail a nice walk along the river to find these two caches was enjoyable. TFTC Tankengine.
Spent a long time looking found the wombats but no cache. Hoping the toys we found on the ground weren’t from the cache.
Will try again later

Found it with daughter Kate (former Tharwa schooler) and grandsons Will (3) and Eddie (1). Thanks again Tankengine!
With a lot of help from our expert geocaching Nan (AppleboxLane), we found this little cache. Luckily no wombats appeared to be home!
Thanks for a lovely walk on a warm day, and for the Cache.

Cache 5472 on 14 Sep 2019.
After some recent quick trips out for caching, I decided it was time for a proper geocaching mission, so TikvaNZ suggested we work towards the event in Bredbo , which suited me just fine! So we planned to grab a few of the newer TE caches and some solved puzzles along the way. All in all, I got 17 caches, 10 of them Tankengine caches, which was more than I bargained for! A bit more walking and fence clambering than I planned, but hey, that is geocaching! Start at 0730 and home by 1500 - thanks TikvaNZ for a proper day of geocaching!
This cache: nice quick walk along the track to find this one - both at head height and chest height!
Thanks Tankengine for the cache and the fun!

We were having a picnic nearby on Father's Day, and saw this on Wasptor's phone. We wandered over, but unfortunately we had no details as the 4G had dropped out. But we got nearby and hunted, and hunted, and FOUND IT! It was fun trying to work out what the logjam was for - and now reading the description we know.
With ALL7, came home after finding the cache had cuppa until a new cache came through and jump in car with all7 head out here, arrive and start walking i just forgot my pen oops so went back to the car and get it and ALL7 keep walking and i meet her there, what a lovely walk along here TFTC Tankengine
Was in the area, so replaced the logsheet which was almost full! Old logsheet attached.
I was expecting a long search for this one but managed to walk right up to it! First time in this particular area. Thanks for the cache.
A bit late on logging this one... I went for a cycle down to Tharwa (not uncommon for me) and detoured here to get this one cache that on my previous visits had always been unapproachable due to fishermuggles.
Being well used to tankengine hides it was a quick find.
Thank you for the cache!

Found by Mary and David at 13:25:00. Today we headed south and cached along Point Hut Rd and Tidbinbilla Rd as far as the Corin Rd turnoff. An interesting construction, which was explained to us by a lady Ranger soon after we found the cache. We parked at the gate, but not too near the burnt-out Falcon. Now we're another smilie closer to that pathtag that Mary covets. Gets a FP. Our thanks to Tankengine.
Find No: 7286. Attending the Mega in Queanbeyan, the Garmin GPSMAP64s karked it a couple of days ago but geono. loaned us a Montana 650, out today with Bill & DiMorgan, thanks for the cache Tankengine!!
Out caching today with Grub Fred.
This was like taking a SUnday Drive into the countryside. It was good being away from the hustle & bustle of city caches.
We had a really good morning , good company & some good hides found.
Thanks for placing this cache Tankengine

Mini drive as this is an unfound tankengine near my home. Drove as close as I could to GZ then a brisk walk and the cache was found quickly. Interesting setup near GZ (see pic). Thanks Tankengine
Walked down to this one on a warm afternoon. River very low at the moment. Cache found quickly and all OK.
Thanks,
Thanks,
Found on an after work Canberra Bushwalking Club ramble. I put the trip on to bring more eyes with me and, I must admit, it was a muggle who found it for me. Thanks for placing and maintaining the cache TE. A very interesting spot.
Found with nissan 65 on a few days caching in Canberra. We headed up last night after work and stayed at our usual over night spot in Goulburn before heading out this way. Thankyou to all cache owners for placing these for our enjoyment
17,275. Found during an afternoons meanderings prior to today's event.
With a few hours up my sleeve - and with the temperature being much lower today - I headed out for a few walks for caches. Continuing south I got to Tharwa with enough time to do Logjam II before heading back, picking up the better half, and getting to the event. I have been down this way before for a few caches, but this one was really close ! Cool structures. Quick find at GZ. Signed the log, replaced the cache, then headed off back to town.
Thanks Tankengine !!

**This Cache:**
The first cache of the day! Parked at the gate and walked the short distance to GZ. I learnt something new about logjam's, and was pretty cool to see them in person. Didn't know such a thing existed! The coordinates were spot on like usual, and the cache was soon found in a logical spot. All in great condition and a great spot for a cache, thanks for bringing me here Tankengine!
---
**The Day:**
The weather was forecast to be be quite pleasant today, with a cooler change to what we have been receiving lately, the storm from yesterday decided to reward us!
I decided to go for a drive down to Tharwa and attempt the Vampire caches that go down the east side of the Murrumbidgee River. Lots of caches down this way, all which were hidden by both Tankengine and DSD! Saw 3 foxes (maybe I was chasing the same one down the river?), 1 Wombat, lots of rabbits, and surprisingly only a few Kangaroo's for a change!?
Only had to cross the river once at my turn around point, so that I could take the more civilised and beaten path back to my car. Managed to find a spot that was only ankle deep, and the water was beautiful! A LOT warmer than the last time I crossed the Murrumbidgee!
After I returned from a 3 hour walk, I decided to spend a couple more hours back in Canberra picking up some traditional caches around the Tuggernong suburbs.
Thanks to all the CO's for a great day out!

Out for an afternoon cache trip with the twin terrors. Nice little walk up to the 'Logjam'. Thanks Tankengine.
A nice sunny Winter's afternoon in Canberra, so it was perfect weather for caching. Touchstone7 and I decided that we'd head down to Tharwa and do a drive through Ingles Crossing, picking up a few caches along the way.
Nice easy find, before doubling back for the cache on the other side.

With the sun out Genghicat and I decided to explore Tharwa area.
This cache provided a well deserved walk along the creek. We took some lovely photos, signed the cache and doubled back to grab tower the other side. For some reason genghicat wasn't keen on swimming across. Odd that.

A quick find on a beautiful sunny winter's day as we headed for the Cotter and Corin by a roundabout way for a day of caching. Thanks Tankengine .
I had found the original Logjam not far from here and found it a nice walk so I was happy to come back for a second go. Rangers have done some blackberry control recently so the walk is quite pleasant. TFTC
Plans were made to head out with Rapidlywild to pick up a few of the newly published caches that came out while we were away. Suffering from caching burn out the Hidden Creatures event made it a little more enticing. Weather wasn't too bad for winter so we decided to start today.
After a day of caching we collected this on our way back into town. A stroll to GZ and soon came up with the goods. Signing duties performed and we were on our way again.
Thanks for cache hide Tankengine.

Its been quite a while since I have been out for a big geocaching day and today was a good one. Made plans with FFLL#1 to head out towards Corin to make some finds towards the Hidden Creatures event and today was the first geo-expedition for the new Triton. Had a wonderful day with FFLL#1, found some puddles to mess up the white Triton and even seen some of the snow up at Corin.
Apologies for the copy/paste logs, all caches were found relatively quickly, and I think we ended the day with 2 DNFs (One which we attempted to find on 2 different occassions).
Decided to swing past this one and go for a stroll. Nice big wombat hole nearby so watch underfoot !
Thanks for the cache hide Tankengine and thanks FFLL#1 for an awesome day

After heading down south to do the Beautiful Views series we stopped at Tharwa shop for a snack, allrounder pointed out this one was close by so we parked the car at the gate and headed down. Allrounder made the find after getting caught up a blackberry bush close by.

This was the 29th cache of 34 found today. After stopping for a pie at the Tharwa general store, we made our way down to this one.
The sun had finally made its way out and it was great to check out the structures. The cache blends in well and I hard to fight off the blackberries before finding it.
Thanks Tankengine, a favourite for me!

#2927 As I was parking my car, authorities drove past who are working on a project up the track. I found the cache on this Sunny morning while knocking down some new caches in this area. TFBMH Tankengine.
We caught up with Geojunkies and went for a walk. Came across this one and made a find with6 sets of eyes. Hides very well. TFTC
Took a little to find and we were fascinated by the logjam.

A daily find today. Police decided to come visit me while I was getting this cache. They wanted to know what a was doing.
Killing some time on the south side this arvo so decided to look for caches just out of town.. The one nearby had a stack of muggles but none had ventured to this spot. After disentangling from the guardian Web, the cache was easily retrieved, log signed and returned to its spot. TFTC, Tankengine.
#7764 - 14:10; The weather was great, I had dropped the geohoney in the city and I had some time to collect a few caches, so I headed down south to Tharwa and started to work my way north. I've wandered along this track before, but was a little surprised how much grass there was on the riverside track. Decided to take the high road and then descending on the approach to GZ. Headed to the logical spot and was having a good look around before I spotted something suspicious and soon after had the cache in hand. After logging this one, headed a bit further along before discovering the other cache I'd had my eye on was across the water, so left it for another day. TFTC Tankengine
Mmmm, a tricky one but after branching out we found the sneak after cycling up the Fitz. Many thanks to the CO Tankengine for establishing and maintaining another local cache.
I was staring at the area for a while with no luck. One of the geokids spotted it quite quickly. Nice cache.

An unusually calm and sunny Spring day in Canberra today just screaming to be enjoyed. I half considered digging out the kayak, but decided to go caching instead. Today's target was to finish off a few caches down at the far end of Canberra: Thawa. I was here a few weeks ago on the other side of the Murrumbidgee.
Took me a while to see this one. I see it was found earlier today & they did a good job of making sure it was well concealed. They even left me a small flower ! Thx.
