Didn't realise this one was disabled, it had been loaded onto the GPS via GSAK, couldn't find it on the App map when we went to check it out after we couldn't find it initially, but soon got the online page to open for a few more logs to read thru, not sure why it is disabled as we found it tucked away in the prickly bits near the pole, no need to jump the fence, in fact, that would probably make it harder to get!!

The original cache was broken so someone put it inside another container. It was quite nasty and damp. Some bugs were inside. The ziplock bag containing the log book was not properly sealed so it was a little bit damp, and I couldn't seal it properly either :/

I was running ahead of schedule, so I had time to grab a few more in Cambridge. TFTC.

#504. Set off on a Saturday morning run through some Tamahere / Hautapu caches.. the prickly plants got me a couple of times as I signed the log. Easy find, TFTH.
We live close to this geocache and I've run past it so many times before I downloaded this app, and didn't even realize it was there! This is my first geocache that I've found, so thank you for making it such a fun experience!
Excellent park and grab. My 4 legged assistant enjoyed a hat with the interested onlookers in the opposite paddock
With a break in the weather the only thing I really had to do today was geocache. I had no plans so enlisted TNXPro and Squirrelnutcase to search for a worthy adventure. What no one knew at the time was this adventure would span 21 hours, cover 3 regions and we'd have Davidson clan join us at the half way point. A crazy day but there's no denying - it's a lot more fun with friends!
This cache was a nice little park'n'grab and it was found quickly and in good condition thanks to accurate coords and a pretty obvious placement. Cheers 11hpg11, TFTC

The weather was looking perfect for a caching trip, so myself, Philip.Perry and Squirrel.Nutcase joined forces and decided to hit the Waikato area to try clear Squirrels map.
I had run a PQ and still had 701 caches to find within 30km of Hamilton, so I pretty much was up for anything today.
This was a great sized cache in a very random spot. I waited till a car drove by, before I exposed the cache and did the business.
Thanks for bringing me here.

Well yes that is pretty obvious - nice cache with a good swag. Looks like a bit of weeding happening in area - hopefully cache will say - TFTC
10.55am. Most of prickly plants have been cleared so this was an easy pick up.
Thank you. David.
Thank you. David.
Came by this way today courtesy of C+D's '37° South Latitude Challenge' cache. This cache fitted nicely into that challenge and it became a requirement for me. Cache a nice and easy park n' grab which was a blessing in today's heat! Then back in the car with the air-con going full blat! Cheers for the cache. Nice to be around these back roads I have never been on.
Having great fun negotiating these back roads..nice quick find and although the inner container is damaged the cache is staying nice and dry. Thanks
Nice size cache here. Lots of natural camo. Animals came to say hello. Thanks very much 11hpg11
It was actually quite open here and quickly located, although partially hidden. tftc
Out and about on a cold frosty morning but that's what you do instead of having a sleep in. Quick find with a clever container. Tftc.
Found a penguin here. The little guy is coming with me.
The travelling fox is happy =^,^=

Monster, monster, monster. The inner chamber is open. The monster is nearly free. TFTC.
Easy find but wasn't expecting the size. Love the eyes. Lol cache is broken but the log is in great condition. Never seen a log so perfect. Lol grab the 2 tbs and left toys and a rotorua rock. Tftc
Time for a drive around the block. There have been a few new caches since I was last around here, a nice quick find, cheers
Found on a long weekend up in the Waikato, with family, friends, and caching. Ticks all my boxes!!
Thanks to all of the CO's for the hides. Cheers.

The eyes have it! Our own monsters stayed in the car for this one so we kept our eyes peeled on the search, the monster was quickly located and dealt to, TFTC!
Parked the car at the Tamahere church and cycled from there to get the five caches on the west side of the expressway, Missed this one so grabbed it on the way back, dropped of a TB

These caches were annoying me, as I've driven past a few times, but hadn't made the time to stop. So today was the day! we stopped here on the other side of the road and wondered over, with only the odd truck driving by wondering what we were doing (it is raining afterall), quick find, and more interestingly I saw a praying mantis that was a washed out yellow colour. Weird! Every other one I have seen in my life was green!
Its Been a while and now its time to catch up on all the logging that I've put off to a rainy day (while it may not be raining, where we were heading the roads are still closed hence sitting here doing this).
Thought that I should be doing a bit of a clean up around Hamilton and will admit that following the tomtom was not the best way to get there but rather eventually made it after a spot of trial and error. Very interesting to see how the roads have altered with the advent of the expressway and also what were quite busy roads have become quiet roads.
Thanks for the Cache, thanks for the Placement

8.35am - Trip to Auckland with the Squirrel and a couple of new cachers on board with us. No real plans but with one multi cache in mind. With this ticked off it was just a day of increasing our cache numbers. A good with some interesting cache hides with a couple needing needing repairs and a couple of misses. Thanks to all the cache owners for todays trip. SLTFTC
I had 7 caches lined up for today as it wasn't raining. Hubby said he would bike with me. It is so much nicer having company as we cycled around the roads either side of the expressway. We visited friends once I had found the 7 caches. 7 smiles . #2. I was really surprised when hint said "The Obvious". I didn't expect what I found. Made it really easy. TFTC.
Wasn't really tired at 10pm so thought I'd go for a drive and collect the caches in this patch. Shouldn't be too hard with the cover of darkness I was pretty sure I'd find a monster, but when I found the container I wasn't sure what sort of mischief 11hpg11 and Sharkboy would have conjured up for me to find.... Should I be here at 11pm looking for monsters? This may not be a good idea....
Opened the container up to find a few eyes looking at me. Now I'm not the best looking chap around, but this monster would have seen my face in quite high detail with all those eyes.... poor little bugger was so scared he willingly gave up the cache. Phew. On a completely unrelated note, you can call me the Monster Slayer *flexes muscles* Z-NZ:1 Monsters: 0
TFTC 11hpg11, the cache was found in good order Signed, sealed and returned to GZ. 7 finds of 7 today, making this find #1565

Heading to Auckland with Nerweed and Gap (of Fap and Gap)...
This is our first time travelling through Cambridge in a while... It's surprising how much the Expressway has changed this area. The new road has effectively cut rural communities in half. We like that it has created lots of new opportunities to hide caches, and we're pleased that someone is making use of these newly formed dead end roads... We had to wait for a couple of joggers to pass by. They were concerned about our welfare, but we were more than sorted... Loved the 'eyes' on this one. TFTC.

After a series of DNF's in Rotorua we decided on some easier to find ones a bit closer to home, we quickly found it
Thanks for great cache... made a swap and left a wee bit of colour for someone else.
So the weather man said rain so it was some drive by caches day Some nice houses in the area tftc
I joined HKCB and Kiwi69 on a road trip from the Tron to Rotorua, primarily to attend a local event but to also spend a couple of hours geocaching before heading home. We managed to get away just after 5 and I was tucked up in bed by midnight. Unfortunately for us it bucketed down most of the time and we got absolutely saturated.
Having seen this cache get published while we were away we decided to call in on our way home in the vein hope FTF hound KayGeeDee had stayed in Rotorua. No such luck.

Went to Rotorua to attend an event with HKCB and Iammrwalker & to find a few caches before heading home - it seemed a great plan until the weather bomb appeared. But, not to be deterred by a little rain or darkness, we decided to stick to the plan, knowing we could be confident we were unlikely to encounter any muggles!
By this stage of the night, we were 110% soaked, had admitted it was madness & were heading home ... until a few new caches were published haha. Wondered if we'd make it back in time to beat the local FTF hound but also, no - missed out by a narrow margin. But a nice quick camo drive-by cheered us up no end anyway. thanks for the hide

Was caching around Rotorua after the event down there tonight with Kiwis69 and Iammrwalker when we got the alerts for newly published caches in Hamilton. After finishing off what we were doing down there, with thought we'd stop by these ones on the way home, with a small hope to get the FTF. Alas KGD had beaten us there by 30mins or so.
Had a laugh and the cache camo, nicely done!

FTF Just arrived home from event in Rotorua when this popped up. I debated going back out in the rain. In the end common sense did not prevail so off I went. Had left this one for last due to the name and items mentioned in the description. Managed to evade most of the cache protection. All quiet at GZ so was relieved to see a blank log. Signed and returned. Now to go home and finish that coffee.
