Out and about enjoying the hidden gems of our country. On a lovely sunny but cool Central Otago day making the most of the Kings Birthday Monday. TFTC enjoyed the fruits of your labour
Thanks RowenaD for the cache. Its #1805 for us. We found your cache on Tuesday 14 November 2023. Quick drive-by!
Bit of a look around Cromwell and district today, and decided to use the fruit as a bit of a series. Thanks for the cache.
Great easy find, forgot my pen but will bring kids back to ‘find it’ and sign
With rustynz visited the car museum and now finding a couple of caches missed when doing the Dunstan cycle trail.

Another little visit to Cromwell, so grabbed this as we were passing by. Thanks for placing.
Ok ok we'll stop for this one aswell...the cycleway is quiet but the road wasn't! Hard to not look suspicious here but a park and grab and we're off!
I'm staying in Clyde for a couple of days. Headed into Cromwell early this morning. to have a look around and find a cache or two. After seeing the Big Fruit yesterday I did the Little Fruit run today. TFTC
Tftc nice pomeganate. On the bike trail. Frigid today!!! Going into town. Logbook getting full
Heading home to omakau after a Lsar training exercise near tekapo...decided it would be a great opportunity to spend a few hours in Cromwell knocking of a few caches..

Found - Mrs McMike2012 & I now live full-time in our caravan & travel the country visiting places we want to visit … we are now parked up at Lowburn for a couple of days, exploring in & around the Cromwell area … we were heading out to the Bannockburn Sluicings for a bit of a walk … we thought it would be rude not to check out this cache on the way … found this with no issues, log completed & cache returned … pleased to add another 'smiley face' to the tally … TFTC ... TN:LN:SL ... #2,249 for us.
Not a fan of Pomegranates but I’ll try this one! Found with Piwaka54 on our epic southern adventure. TFTC
Found with Tregearp whilst out and about exploring Stewart Town and a few vineyards. A quick find, completed formalities and replaced as found. Thanks RowenaD for the cache.
Out collecting some of the little fruits today. Nice quick P & G. Thanks for the placement.
pomergranate season has just finished in the north island but it did remind me of eating the fruit and see the tree with these lovely red lamp-like fruits hanging on an otherwise denuded tree.
Today was set aside to do a geo caching day to Cromwell if the weather was unsuitable for skiing which is was , so we set off early at about 8.30 and finally arrived home about 5.30 with approx 41 caches in total including the adventure lab , so we were very pleased. we took a muggle who have been intro' to geocaching briefly on a few days before and so today was a big geo caching experience for her and as i had 2 GPS's with me she was able to use one quite independently by half was thro the day.
we enjoyed spending some time at the historic Cromwell area which none of us had actually explored before and where we had lunch at the Grain cafe.
we only had 2 DNFs and both were of puzzle style caches which we had solved but there was nothing at GZ.
thank you for these caches

On holiday staying in Wanaka and decided to check out a town we haven't visited on previous trips and today it was Cromwell. Had a good time exploring the town including the museum which is near the cafes in the town centre area and then some caching - a perfect day really!
At around 3pm I was eyeing up the series as we had finished exploring the town. 'How long can I cache for then?' 'Until you get a DNF was the response' Well if that was not motivation to find them all I don't know what was! Woohoo local caches and series here we come!!
Overshot the parking for this one so I ran back for this one. Quick find.
Thanks for the cache.

Found with judithrichards determined to collect all the fruit before moving on to Lumsden.
We're hunting Tour caches and anything that's not slowing down our objective to much. We scored 3x nights at Rotary Glen with max occupancy of 10 vans. The plan was just 2x but it's just to nice.We never explored Cromwell, just raced through so we're going to make the most of it. On our way to Bannockburn we noted a waypoint for a Tour Cache and a small series. We overcame the lack of parking creatively and were soon on our way again. Thank you RowenaD
We are staying at the Rotary Glen NZMCA camp and grabbing a few caches in the wider area.
This was one of a few we found before deciding we preferred the shade at the camp.
Thank you RowenaD.

Flumsy2 was by now getting a little glumsy, and I was developing fruit fatigue. Yes, it’s a thing. We could see the light at the end of the tunnel, so found, signed and replaced.
Pomegranates always seem to be luxurious fruits. The seeds are delicious found with Spoonz2 tftc
Such an apt series to hunt down in this beautiful region! I really enjoyed finding these guys - nice quick finds and they all made me smile upon finding them. Thanks for taking the time to put them all out and I hope one day to come down and find the remainder to complete the set! This little guy also happened to have some very appropriate swag inside for a honeymoon geocache find - 2 silver rings attached together with a white ribbon. I had to take a photo...Found with Loz47

Thanks RowenaD.
Thanks RowenaD.

We love to eat pomegranates so were keen to find this one. Once at gz the cache was soon in hand.
Taking Aussie Pete back to the Queenstown airport to fly home. Did some of these the day he arrived so only fitting to do the rest on the day he leaves. Some of the fruit would be easy to source but others not so. Well done in doing this fruit trail. Very fitting for the area. Made us go down roads we have never been down before.
An early start for me this morning....out on a bike ride loop of Cromwell township to grab a pile of the fruit series caches. We are staying in the nearby campground for a week so plenty of time to explore the local area.
The plan was to cycle along the lake edge path...but seems to be closed for construction- so now going to follow the road.
Sorry for the repetitive logs - but a great cache series.
