A good quick start to our day collecting this cache and two more a little up the old highway.
Today Barb2e and I headed out again along Yass Valley Way to Jerrawa before heading back towards Yass on the Coolalie Road. It was a beautiful summer day and all caches that were found were in good condition. Unfortunately we did encounter some DNFs ...... are we cache blind or aren't they there?
Thanks to all the COs who contributed to our day of fun that ended back in Yass enjoying a very late morning tea.

Lockdown has bought a totally different approach to caching with the introduction of homework! Much time for homework in fact. Therefore many more puzzles solved, both as a solo and collective effort. Thanks to my fellow geo buddies for assistance when needed.
And in between there are still some traditionals, though not nearly as many of them left these days
Out with Marmaduke Rothschild for a drive interstate and in the country because we can.
Logs all in good condition unless otherwise noted.
Thanks to Princess_Bogan for putting out and maintaining all of these caches for our enjoyment!

This was the first stop and another quick find and sign. TFTC Princess_Bogan

We were on our way to Tahmoor to visit some friends for the weekend. We allowed some extra time for a couple of caches along the way. It was freezing getting out of the car, but it had to be done - for the sake of Geocaching .

Finalf29 and I had a wonderful time in Melbourne but now just want to get home. So grabbing a few more of these roadside caches... great idea for a stop, stretch of the legs and a driver swap.
Finalf29 was getting very tired and needed to stop... "I'll stop at the first safe spot"... I looked and realised there was a cache 300m away!!! woohoo... win-win... you gotta love caching. Thanks

Quick stop for cheezels and removing grass seeds from shoes at this very broad parking space. I remember when the road went down here! Thanks for another smiley on our long weekend road trip. This one actually wound up being our last, because we were busting to get home to collect our cat from his boarding place.

An unexpected trip to NSW saw us with some spare time, as we had not planned anything we concentrated on Adventure Labs but not passing anything close by our travels and these two filled the bill perfectly.
Not being any where near peak travel time we had no problem at either location and both caches were found quite quickly and both log books now contain our name.
Many thanks LisetteR73 for the a couple of nice quick caches on our way.

Day #1: With a long weekend off, I decided on coming to Canberra for it. Unfortunately, I couldn’t find any accommodation for the Saturday night, so instead, I ended up with a single night but that doesn’t matter. I’m sure I’ll enjoy my Geocaching trip still. I started the Saturday with avenging some DNF’s as well as finding newer caches along ‘Sutton Rd’ to my accommodation in Queanbeyan. Yes, this did include finding the new AL in ‘Gundaroo’ which was great fun and full of history lessons to learn about. After finding these caches, I then booked into accommodation and have a late lunch. Afterwards, I decided on doing the new AL in Queanbeyan. I also decided on walking from my accommodation and visit some of the other caches around. After a rest and dinner, I went and did some night caching. Only two find for this and both were quick finds. Now time to get some sleep.
Day #2: After a great night sleep, I went to attack the GCA ALF trail and the Starwars Letterbox trail plus a few loose caches that were along the way. I started by re-attempting the new AL bonus cache in Queanbeyan but unfortunately, I needed to leave with a DNF again. Well, time to head over to the ALF trail and get started on my bush walk. I collected a couple before I got there. It took about 1h40m for the walk which was a lot, lot faster than when I did it back in 2016 for the GC version of these. It was great fun and full of great views… again. The area has changed a bit since last time. After having a break, it was time to start the Starwars trail. I drove to the end of the trail and worked my way back to the start of the trail. After this I knew I was nearby(ish) a cache that would fill in a gap in my Jasmer grid (May 2017). This is a rare month for me to find because the closest couple to my home coordinates were Canberra and Albury. These are 2.25h of driving each way (totalling 4.5hours) before finding caches and all other driving plus meals. In other words, a big day. It feels great to finally have this finally done. Now time for lunch. After lunch, I decided on collecting some more of the UGC caches, that I qualify for and then it was time to head home from my trip away.
All found caches were a mixture of both GC and GCA caches. TB visit on all found caches. I would like to thank all the CO’s of the caches I found and for allowing them to bring me and others enjoyment. TFTC’s

At the truck stop in convoy to pay our respects to the VICPOL member who was taken in the line of service a week ago in Victoria.

I was not expecting to be able to cross the NSW border again any time soon with the strict laws and fines they have implemented over there, but given I am an essential worker and currently delivering food and grocery's to those more vulnerable in our community I found myself passing this cache today and took a quick leg stretch / food break!
The highway was very quiet which was expected, more trucks than cars but still a few going wherever they need to go....!
This rest stop was empty however so it was a good place to take a break on my way between Yass and Goulburn in the truck.
Thanks for placing

With a day off and the eagerness to get out for a cache or two, I headed out for a run along the back-roads and Hume-HWY between Yass and Gunning. I chose this route to collect caches that has popped up, to avenge DNF’s and to collect caches I missed last time, I did this run (back in 2016). I found a good mixture of caches both in sizes and types of hides. Most were quick finds and all caches were signed and replaced except for three DNF’s and one NA. Out of 45 attempted caches, which is a mixture of both GC and GCA, I ended up finding 41 of them. I would like to thank all CO’s of the caches I found and for allowing them to bring enjoyment to me and the rest of the caching community. TFTC’s and TFTTP’s
This was my only NA of the day. When I arrived there was a vehicle within metres of the cache. I went for a slow walk up and back along the rest area. It looked like the muggle wasn't going to be moving on any time soon, so I moved on.

On our way to the Oz Geomuster 2019 - The Gong! We left early on Friday morning, traveling along the Hume all the way to Wollongong. We found a few caches, here and there, along the trip to break up the drive.
We were getting tired now - so we started to find more and more caches. Being a little ways from home, they were more frequent so we skipped some - we'd never get to Wollongong at this pace! Thanks for the cache LisetteR73.

After leaving our camp spot at Coolamon this morning with ilook4geo, it was just a matter of picking a few caches along the way to break up the trip as we headed towards the Mega event. There was no problem in locating this cache, both names were written on the log and all was put back into place. We were then on the road again. Thank you to LisetteR73 for putting this cache into play.

Found 1:32 pm on our way home from Yass. We had been out to visit family for 50th party in Yass and as usual I wanted to find a cache or two. I had found a number of caches from Yass to Sydney back 2018 but had lost my log entries when my phone was busted (about 150) I’ve been slowly identifying some of these. This cache being one of them. So claiming the find in the original date even and I’ve actually found it twice now this date being 7/7/19. Any help with past finds for caches in this area would help as I am unsure which I found and lost the logs in my phone. Writing my name in twice now but claiming the original find date. Returned cache back to its hiding spot.
Thanks for the cache.

We are on our way north for the winter, headed for the Kimberley by a very roundabout route.
Today we left Jugiong bound for Goulburn. Not far, but allows us to access another group of caches that we have seen here before as we have gone past on a mission to be further north.
This was our first one for the morning, a quick stop on our way. We were pleased to be able to pull over safely with the caravan behind us and found no one at all in the rest stop so we were able to make it drive-by. Spiders seemed to have colonised the hiding place!! But Mrs SKI was brave and made the retrieval.
