Most of our caching while in Christchurch was centred around walks but we made an exception with a park and grab here. All was good with the cache being exactly where I expected it to be and the container and its contents being in excellent condition.
Today was a trad dot day, so I stopped by here, after doing the nearby multi. Didn't take long before I felt the cache. Nicely hidden. Thanks for the placement! TFTC Wombles B.J&T, the cache was found in good order Signed, sealed and returned to GZ. 2 find(s) of 2 today, making this find #4599
Down from Whangarei for a few days visiting family and had to take the opportunity to grab a few caches as and when the chance presented itself. This avo, the other half took the credit card on a trip to town, so I headed in the other direction for a proper caching jaunt. The Waimakariri sandspit seemed a good choice, so I headed up there and secured all 7 caches. On the way back to our accommodation, I stopped off for this one. A nice quick find here thanks, TFTC
Quick grab while waiting for my pizza order. Had to destroy a poor spiders home for that one. Thanks for the cache!
Nice find thanks to the hint. So the log book has been signed and the cache is nicely back in its place all ready for the next geo-hunter. Thanks heaps for taking the time to set up this cache. I really appreciate your efforts in doing so. TFTC
In Christchurch for the weekend visiting family. Had the opportunity to do a bit of caching! Yippee!!

Was running early for an appointment so stopped here for a quick find. No market gardens these days.
Bumped into the CO's of this cache in Tai Tapu at Christmas time when my cachletts were down...... Thanks for getting me to 200 caches
We've been in the area for the last couple of days. We pulled over to check out our next destination on our phones. Not me, caches are priority. All good here. Thanks for the placement

Had to get help finding this one from my partner but once found was such a moment
This week-end we took the time to walk around Prestons. We found a nice wee playground, and boardwalks, at least as fun as the playground itself. Spotted a pukeko on the walk. Of course we grabbed this cache, which was all secure in position, a bit wet, but still writable. Thanks for maintaining this and showing us new neighbourhoods!
We are in the area about twice a year. After going by this a few times today we had the time for a stop. This roads been closed for a few months now. I like the wetland. The hint saved me time. Cache fits nicely into its sheltered spot. Thanks for placing.
Staying in Christchurch for a few days visiting the children. Quick stop here on the way to the coast. Liked the hint. Cache and log all fine. Thanks for the smiley.
She says to me don't expect me to go caching with you. But today she did and read her book. Thanks.
Found on 16/01/2021.
Up in Christchurch doing the Southern O week Orienteering competition. Tootling around some cches whilst I'm here.

More finds on our way around the area...a couple in the forest, and a couple on the roadside
TFTC! KiwiCampNut for the find

Last one for me for the day out with the group from event held earlier. Had an idea where it was and bang on. Those with a phobia of small creepy crawlies won't like it though - just saying. None around today but saw their work. What a lot of development taking place out this way - don't recognise the area anymore as in my youth this was all market garden land. My Grandparents would be horrified that such good land is being built on. (Yes they were market gardeners).
Kiwi camp nut and I had half a race to this one while lilsoa, SonofAnarchy, purdie and KnotObsessed caught up. Kiwi camp nut won (of course). Tyfc
In the neighbourhood finding the nearby TMGT cache and called by for a quick park and grab.

Was tricky to be stealthy on such a hot day!! 34 degrees so everyone heading to the beach lol. Tftc
19 January 2020 06:52. Tftc discovered this little treasure whilst I was looking for somewhere to turn around. Easy find and in good condition.
Found this one on my way back to base after a very enjoyable bike ride in Bottle Lake Forest. A very quick find. #2929. TFTC.
Well another trip to the South Island and it was going to be a big trip, this trip was going to evolve, work, socialising, caching and some major travel with some spectacular places and some major distances to get to. Day 1 of 9 ...............
Day 1 involved me arriving in Christchurch airport at 07:30 on this Friday and picking up a rental car and my colleagues and making our way to a morning of sales meeting in Head Office. The meeting finished at 11am when we adjourned and closed the office for the day, then it was time to go to lunch for our annual Christmas function, well that was a great social event, you know when this happens you might as well call it a day, well free lunch, who could resist, not me, and also work was paying me to be there even better [^][^]. After eating to the point where I couldnt eat anymore, it was time to call it quits, then a bit more socialising, and then it was time to drop a colleague off to the airport before making my way to my accommodation. After all was done it was time for me to go out and see if I could find a few caches before calling it a night.
After finding GC8DG0X - TMGT: Harakeke (Canterbury), I decided to check my GPSr and soon realised that there was another cache that was not too far away and decided that it was worth a go and it wasnt too far from where I was at the moment.
The drive to GZ wasnt too long as it was less than 1K away and as I neared GZ, I soon realised where GZ was I managed to find a safe parking spot about 50 metres away from GZ.
The walk over to GZ really didnt take long, and as I was making my way over to GZ, I decided to read the hint and once I was at GZ I was able to quickly spot something that didnt quite belong and soon realised that this was the cache.
Managed to retrieve the cache, opened and signed the logsheet and then it was time to return the cache back to where I got it from. Thanks Wombles B.J&T for placing this cache here and for bringing me to this spot. TFTC TNLNSL (14742).
This was my 4th and final cache for tonight on my GeoTour of the South Island, basically this trip is to see if I can get all the TMGT caches in the South Island. 4 of 287 caches found on this trip and 1 DNF so far....
No where am I going to next............. oh yes time to go back to my accommodation....

Last find in Christchurch before we fly back north. I’ve been down visiting my elderly mother and managed to do some caching as well. The hint is very helpful - TFTC
Just had to come and find this one as was close by and marks my 50th Geocache. Hint was very helpful and some cute little swaps. Left behind my grasshopper friend for the next player. Log is quite full now.

In Christchurch for the long weekend with some of the crew from Otago and Southland. Today was spent targeting specific caches with Gadget169 before heading home. Found this one along the way TFTC
Found this cache with dad after finding a geotour cache just up the road. TFTC!
Nice quick easy find, the development through from Prestons is bigger than I thought !! TFTC #730
A quick find on a sunny afternoon, on account of an extremely helpful hint. TFTC!
Mrs Kiwimykl (aka NZDi) had an operation on Thursday afternoon and is currently in the HDU section of the Neuro-surgical ward at Christchurch Hospital. They have a strict no-visitor time from 1pm to 3pm, so what better way to take my min off what is going on with my wife's health than fill in the time with a bit of caching.
I was in the area making a find on one of the new TMGT series caches when I noticed this nearby and it looked like a prime candidate for increasing the tally. I was right as it turned out to be a QEF PnG thanks to a very helpful hint.

Took grandchildren Genevieve and Joel to visit this cache. They were keen to find it. Thanks. Rodney and Iris.
On our way to friends for tea but couldn't resist stopping for a cache with Beeba. I saw it immediately with a good hint then stood back so that she could find it too.
Thanks for the hint, made this a quick find in-between traffic.
TFTC Wombles.
A few days in the Christchurch area catching up with family in the Easter/ANZAC break and doing a bit of impromptu caching. Today’s targets were on the northern entrance and out by New Brighton.
Thanks to all COs.

Some caching on a day off after being in Wellington for WENZ 2018. Thanks for the hide.
Today Flying Phoenix was skiing with his sister and Mrs Biggles was at an all day meeting so I had some time to myself to go and find a few caches. All good here. Cache found as per the hint. TFTC, Biggles.
I was in the vicinity, with a little time to spare, so a perfect opportunity to grab the cache before the road gets too busy! TFTC!!
Have not been in the area for a while and were quite surprised by how much the area has changed. A quick find and a short wait before it could be returned. Who would expect muggles on such a grey morning? We must have looked stupid looking onto the snow on Mt. Herbert... TFTC
Had a few minutes to spare before picking up my neice from school what else to do but find a quick cache. Thanks for placing Wombles B.J&T

With this rain today, I was looking what I can do for my daily cache that could be a straight-forward park&grab. I was in North New Brighton area, and this one looked good. Parked 8m form the cache and got it, yes, I was right! Took it to sign in the car so everything stays dry.
I really liked the paint job on the mint tin, really neat work, kudos for that!
