I made my way to this entrance to the park and worked out where I thought the cache might be. But when I got there my phone said that gz was still 18m away. After checking some previous logs I noted that others had noticed the same thing. It was more bracing than a strain finding this. When I turned around I spotted it straight away.
Being back in the area of Auckland and having some muggle friends with me I opted about for a nice (loooong) walk, and they joined me they seemed a bit exhausted after some hours so off we went to waiheke island to visit some vineyards Well foundTftc
Was quite an adventure to find this one. The grass is currently very long in the paddock and up to geokid 9s chest. When he went looking for the cache he disappeared beneath the grass, was a great laugh. Tftc.
It turned out to be a nice day so it was time to visit the Far East, that is, of Auckland.
And this definitely a creek.
Cheers for the cache, Stevecoxnz.

Another cache on this beautiful sunny day at the beach. Thanks for giving us reason to come here
Great day for it found with Polykiwiana
A bit exposed but still a good spot.

We started off by exploring the Coast Rd part of the park this morning. After visiting a strainer we wandered along to the creek. No problems with making the find here. Thanks.
Headed to where I thought GZ would be although GPS had me a distance away. Looked like a likely spot but nothing there & was contemplating going closer to the creek when I happened to look down & found the cache container out in the open. Signed the log & popped it where I thought it should be. TFTC
Checked on cache today using my GPS and it zeroed in to 1 meter. Cache is still there.

A short walk on from the previous cache find. Unfortunately a poor sheep lay dead nearby, I always feel for these poor creatures in winter when they have been robbed of their woolly protection. Cache was a straightforward hide and I was soon back on the track, continue my walk in the sunshine. TFTC

Was at hint item & GPS said 14m away so climbed fence & headed to the creek....no luck. Back at hint item...NO not here.
we have had plans of coming to Duders and collecting then all hopefully in a day.
Best plans don't always work out.
weather has been very good but to hot to spend hours in, so plan was a few today and tomorrow.
collect what we can before mega.
terrain not the easiest to navigate.
we struggle with some caches and some fairly straight forward.
thanks to the owners for placements.

With Gap (of Fap and Gap)… On a pre-Mega mission… It was far too hot to be wandering around in the sun. We put off caching for the late afternoon and headed back to Duder Regional Park for another go…
Our last find for the day and a good one to boot. Thanks stevecoxnz and TFTC.

QEF with hint item although 17m away from GZ. Log very wet but just about managed to sign PBB TFTC
The head was on the other side of the fence but the body was still in place log was too damp to write on. TFTC
Like recent finders have said the coordinates are out a little, but still good to go over and look at that interesting tree creek-side. After checking the only hint option I soon had the bull by the horns or something in my kitchen, what am I going to do!?
We called into the entrance to the park a few weeks ago but had no time to do the walk. A different story today on a 19kms walked day so after Clevedon viewpoint and a wander around Waitawa there was time to head here to do 'a few'. The weather came to play and despite a few gusts it was a glorious hot and sunny visit.
My original aims for today were quite lofty, and not really achievable but one can dream eh? I planned to get the last missing aspect of the Virtually anywhere in Auckland at Waitawa Regional Park, go up to the top of the Clevedon walkway to the lookout to complete the Adv Lab there, do the Duder Regional Park walkways and get 'all' (lol) of the Maraetai caches. Well that was a mission too far and I willingly dialled back the targets as the day progressed. As it was I managed over 20 caches and had a great day so that was awesome. Thanks to all COs for their caches.

Nearly every one today had departed for other pastures, after our CITO organised by Agazo. But me and CyclicalCaching and FMZ had our own ideas too in this warm afternoon, we would walk about a km from the carpark and pick up 3 or so caches. This one is one that I had not found before and it was the furtherest we did today. CC signed us in while fotos were taken with Boney Bruce. Thanks very much Steve Dude for all your Dude caches in Duders Reserve, has been a very fun day and glad to see you again today, a FP for your efforts.
It was a nice walk to this from the car park, although I was pretty tired by now, you know, it's like my muscles have wasted away over the years, so I was carried back. But I did find some funny things to play with here! Thanks
Duuude, where's my car? Oh yeah it's back along the road. A quick find by Gorby and CC here, while Bruce was posing for photos nearby. Last find out here today - thanks for all the fun Steve. TFTC!!!
I was out in the area for the CITO today. Really wonderful park, I spent the majority of the day walking up and down all the different hills to collect caches!
Thanks for all COs who put caches here!
Notes on this cache :
We found it easily thanks to the hint, but the GPS for all of us was 15 or so meters off. Nice container!

Cute cache! Easily found. Came across Stevecox, master of the tricky hides! Nice to meet you. TFTC
I am temporarily disabling the cache as the area it is in has been planted out and fenced so I don't want to risk any damage happening to the area.
Due to the covid 19 situation I will be disabling all my caches until we no longer have to self isolate. Anyone logging one after this date will have the log deleted. Stay safe.
Out for a day walk with the kids and to pick up some smilies in Duder My littlest Geo Kid loved the camo on this one lol ... although the pukekos didn't like us hanging around, TFTC!
Found as a part of a previous group TanjackMüley, now WanderingSparrow. Now I'm continuing on my own. TFTC
The log was maybe the most unsignable thing we've seen so we placed a small amount of waterproof paper inside. Cache was really cool although we couldn't fit to together. Thanks for the cache.
Found with part of teambop Tnxpro and McJandals log signed teambop. Come up from BOP to Duders for the day.

On a road trip with part of Team BOP which includes myself, TNXPRO and Davidson Clan. To save room we have signed BoP and I am logging using the Cachly app Ctemplate so please excuse generic logging along the way. It’s just my way of keeping track, but I do genuinely thank each and every one of you cache owners for taking the time and energy to place these caches. Many Thanks for bringing us here. Cheers
Which side of the creek? Even though there looked like a path to the other side, I took a stab and got lucky. At GZ, there were many places that fit the hint, depending on how you applied the directions. After a bit of mucking around (literally) for a few minutes, I spotted a place that fit perfectly and found the cache. Log is tender and prone to falling apart. TFTC.
Was keen to approach from the given trailhead as l havent been in this new area of the park before. Had it not been for the cache, l would have never known you could walk through here. Signs are a bit skimpy but an AC gate sign indicated l was going in the right direction.
Enjoyed the walk to GZ & soon spotted a likely hiding spot. Lucky l stood well back & surveyed GZ before diving in to sign the log. Log is very wet & l tipped a lot of water out of the container. Nice camo. TFTC

Out with cragger, laval and NZIceman for some caching today. Headed out in the general Maraetai and Beachlands direction to collect a few to clear the map and one specific one in Duders Park to tick a box in my D/T grid.
After finishing in the main part of the park we decided to find 'just one more' so strolled along the beach and into this area. Got slightly startled before realising it was the cache - ha ha! Soon had the log in hand, signed and returned for the next cacher.
Thanks for the cache - fav point.

Had a couple of days off work so been away in the motorhome. Staying at Duders tonight so headed out for an afternoon wander around the park to collect some more caches that I haven't got yet. This was my first around here today, and what a fun find. The tide is out so I am going to target the caches along the coastline next, TFTC
First find on my Duders day today!
Quick find once on right side of creek!
Very good camo!
Unexpected .

Little one still wants to take the cache containers... Convinced him to leave it where it was... TFTC
I took daughter #1 out for a drive, lunch and walk today, finding a few caches along the way. We parked in the main car park and went for a bit of a loop around the park. Tried to find a few of the caches that have popped up since my last visit and some that I couldn't find in the past. This was the first one I found out here. Took longer than it should have done as I misinterpreted and overthought the hint. Almost jumped when I got my hands on the cache. Sneaky! TFTC, Biggles.
Out and about on a wonderful day to clear out some caches in the beautiful scenery of Duders.
There is no better place to be for a scenic cacher like me!!!
Nice and easy find. TFTC

Dear Cache Owners,
I am a German guy who stays in New Zealand for eight months.
My English is not perfect, so please don't wonder if my log entries sound a bit strange. Thanks!
----------
**Holidays!** So my hostkid and I have a lot of time to do activities, the today's one was Geocaching. This park seemed to be a good place doing that and it definetely was.
We start our hike after lunch time and could find every Geocaching that we tried.
This was the first one, really nice one, my hostkid was a bit scared first ... FP for that one!

Out for the evening with a few fellow Team SEAC members, on an excursion to find the nearby night cache.
Met up nearby and wandered down the beach by torchlight towards the starting point for the night cache. Since we were passing so close by this one, we thought it would be rude not to stop for it!
GZ located quickly and cache spied.... I noticed a few critters though, so made someone else retrieve it
Cool cache! Now, about that night cache....

A plan was made with some fellow cachers to attempt the nearby night cache. Following instructions in that cache description we parked at suitable location and started walking. The cache was soon found by one of our group with an appropriate sound to match the container. All is good with this cache. Found with Purply, Darthcacher1, Stik-A-Crane, Er-iot, Newlynfam and UncleSam. Signed SEAC to save space on the log. TFTC
A group of us decided to take a look at the night cache nearby, but we couldn't pass up a few traditional caches along the way.
Signed in as SAEC to save log book space.

Find number 3860. My mission today was collect points for the Planetary Pursuit challenge. I had 255 and needed 230 and then attend an event tonight to reach the final. I left Hamilton at 4.30 am heading to Duders Regional Park. I got the first cache at 6.30 am and by 3.00 am I had achieved the necessary. A total of 33 caches found and 9 not found. (Well not extensively looked for) The weather was great and I had a good walk around the park. Some lovely views and some great caches. Then it was a sleep in the car for a couple of hours before heading in for the night event. Some fish n chips at GZ while I watched the sunset. Then after the event it was home to Hamilton by 10.30 pm
I thought this was close enough to collect before heading back and up the hills. As I approached GZ I wondered whether the cache was still there. There it was nicely hidden. Cache all good. Thank you for the placement.

Anniversary weekend saw us head to Omana for a few days of camping and caching with KirsTim, vistra and yorkshirekiwi83. Today we headed to gather a few more of the caches we hadn't managed to pick up the last time we were at Duders Park. We split up at the carpark, as we all had differing requirements, so headed off to one side of the of the coast to begin with and find the ones we required. This was our first find of the day, no problems here. Thanks for the hide.
I joined up with yorkshirekiwi83, Kirstim and Vamber for another outing to Duder Regional Park to locate the rest of our unfound caches out there. It was a stinking hot day to be out walking in a fairly exposed park! A quick find of this cool cache. TFTC!
Anniversary weekend and we decided to copy last year and head back to Omana Regional park campsite with Vamber & Yorkshirekiwi83. Vistra joined us today but as we had different caches we set off with Vamber. Nice easy find for the first of the day Signed the log as KKKT. Thanks
KirsTim, Vamber and I (signed as varieties of KKKTS) were in the area for the the weekend camping at Omana, today we were joined by Vistra and we decided to split up as we had different caches around the park to find and then meet later to finish them off. Vistra and I had the same ones to find so we set off in search and we soon had this one in hand. TFTC
Staying at Duders for the night at the 2broons house so had to do some caches. Loved the camo. TFTC
Found ... Grandson, Elijah (5), & I went out for an adventure this morning ... 4.5km walk to pick up two caches that we didn't have at Duder Park (two more still to go, but they can wait for another day) ... thought we should head out early, before the sun got too hot ... good walk, amazing the things 5 year olds talk about ... had already picked up one up the hill ... got some photos at the Trig Station & thought we'd grab this one on the way back to the car ... got to GZ & cache located ... my helper was intrigued by the cache container, so get's a favourite point from us ... log completed & returned ... TN:LN:SL ... TFTC ... #1,623 for us.
