Logs
It was a couple of weeks ago that a decision was made to head down to Bacchus Marsh for the weekend. This meant, of course, that while I was here, I would try and get out and do some caching. My plan for today was to spend it in, and around, the Bacchus area targeting a few specific caches that would fill some of my empty Jasmer spots; meet challenge criteria; and be in new LGAs; along with a few random caches in between. Aside from finding all the target caches that I was after, I was able to find a few in between that were quite unique in their creation and definitely worth the favourite points. This made for a very enjoyable day of caching in an area I would hope to return to sometime in the futured. Apologies for the generic log as I have quite a few to write following this trip.Find #9751, at 01:04 pmTFTC
Not sure what the last log is about. The cache is in good condition and does not need to be replaced. We had trouble finding the hint item and its difficult to see how that could have been the case. Felt like an idiot. Anyway, got there in the end and had a laugh at ourselves.
Find number 12685 at 10:49:34am on Monday the 20 November 2023Heading over to Werribee to meet up with gmj3191 to do some geocaches around the area. Out at Cobbledicks Ford for a CITO... and went chasing a few caches as we left with **Yetarewethere** and **Saltie**. Another quick find before a rain squall blew through... and then going our separate ways. Thanks **Alansee** for putting this cache here.

found on the 9/9/23! the pencil lead seems to have fallen out of the pencil and i was unable to write in the logbook as i didn’t have a pen on me!
Always a good day when out caching and finding them. A long detour to get here due to umpteen roadworks.
Thanks for the cache Alansee

Eastwell family's first find.
Nicely tucked away. Exciting to see how many people have found this previously.
Left a happy stone from kids.
Put back safely in same spot

Day out caching with sassieold55, nice quick find here. Side of the road a bit ripped up. TFTC
My intention for this afternoon was to find some of the geocaches hidden out and around the Cobbledick Reserve area. I made my way out here after completing my morning errands nearby in Werribee. This was the first geocache I found in the area today. After turning left off Doherty's Road nearby, I began approaching this cache. I managed to park my vehicle within just a few metres from the final location. It really was serene out here today. The warm afternoon sun was shining and no wind made for a really calming experience at this area.
After parking my car, I quickly hopped out to begin searching for the cache. I had followed my GPS to get me to my current parking spot, but a quick check of the hint while sitting in the car meant I did not need to use it while finding the cache. This is because I could see the hint object from where I was sitting. I approached the hint object and began searching the area for the cache which I stumbled across it relatively quickly as it was sitting in a slightly exposed area. I raced back to my car, cache in hand, to sign the logbook and was pleased to see that the cache and its contents where all in good condition. Shortly afterwards, I clipped the container shut and re-hid the cache where I found it.
Thanks for placing this cache here and for introducing this area to me.

Just found the cache it’s well maintained but pencil may need some sharpening 4.5/5
Headed out Streamside on a grey Saturday morning to find these caches before work.
Well, the cache name was a giveaway of the general location, but I needed the hint, and a minute or two to locate the hide.
The co-location of another type of container is an unusual "red herring" if the placement was deliberate.

So a galah has us convinced it was hurt. We stopped and had to jump the fence to help it. Little bugger flew off soon as we got to hi. (We talked and waited for 5 minutes) we were then able to go onto the cache that we found quickly....
With a 15km travel limit in place owing to Covid, I headed out to grab a few caches as I endeavor to earn points towards 'Reach the Peak' souvenir. There certainly is serenity out this way which I guess explains the amount of rubbish and household crap dumped - **Ah the bogans**
Thanks for the cache Alansee. Appreciate your efforts. Stamped log and returned as found.

*Took*: Nothing
*Left*: Nothing
**Warning**, *this hobby can be addictive. It can lead to exercise and finding interesting places you might not have known existed otherwise.*
Cache on!

It was warming up a little, so tshirts it was. For a 200m walk, we did well to keep ourselves entertained: picked up sticks and wacked them on the ground.
Every now and then a car would pass, with miles notice for me to get us safely to the side of the road. A really nice way to mix it up. I'd give this whole area a FP if I could.

Well fun and games about to start in VIc.
Lockdown for 6 weeks.
I had planned to picke up a few caches with nothing else to do today.
Headed out here to round cobbledicks ford.
This was the first.
The new Vicpol chopper was training so made for some good entertainment while I signed the log.

Early morning find and hopefully the first of many ️. Left some cute safety scissors, enjoy!
Had to come back for this when we realised we’d driven past. Not to hard to find, but a surprisingly busy road. Watch out for fast moving Utes. Thanks.
Found with Afriness , this was easy find can you drive to the next one and I'll easy find
Ha ha, Darryl would agree. In fact, we are also enjoying the serenity of this area! First time we have come here - not sure how we could take this long. Some people are slow learners ...
Seeing the day was going to be cooler, Bettyboo3747 and I decided to go for a picnic to Cobbledicks Ford Reserve. Of course we had to do a few caches in the area.
Must have taken a while to arrange to get the sign placed there. Did you have to tell them where the cache was first?
Thanks, Robmc.

#16846. Having had our new campervan for just two weeks today, I wanted to go for a drive with it and have our comfortable lunch break in the van. We decided to do just a few caches and headed to Cobbledick Ford Reserve. We gathered up a few caches along the way.
This was the first find for the day. By the time I unloaded the doglets from the car Rob had the cache in hand. We added our names and continued on our way.
Thanks Alansee

This was a nice easy cache to find while out caching today with ilook4geo. We were able to stop close to it and were soon out to pick up the container. The log was quickly signed with two more names being added, all was put back into place and it was back to the car to get out of the cold and blustery wind. Thanks go to The Cache Streak Bunyip for placing and maintaining this cache.
Was out on a caching drive today with goingplaces2 and this was one of the caches we found. Everything was done quickly, as it was so cold and we wanted to move on. All logs were signed and replaced. TFTC.
Thank you for this find. It was actually busy today. But it looks to be all in good order.
I was out this side of town to attend a 4WD skills course at the nearby proving ground. This wasn’t an area I had visited previously so how could I pass up the opportunity to try a few caches along the way. As I was running early I had just enough time to grab five caches near here before the course started. It was early Saturday morning so pretty quiet out here with just the odd passing car. This was my first stop and it was pretty straight forward. A quick search and I soon had the cache in hand to sign. Took nothing, left nothing, signed log and visited some trackables. Thanks for the cache Alansee. A fun day of testing the 4WD and a total of ten cache finds as a bonus.
Some free style caching this morning as I was in the city early and had 4 hours to burn so I headed out to a new area for me. Took a couple of minutes and had it signed. Thanks to The Cache Streak Bunyip for the placement and fun.
Found with teamashy. Soooo windy outside we nearly blew away. Signed log and returned as found. TFTC
Was a bit muddy here
Out with the family today exploring the area. Decided if it was going to rain cats and dogs we may as well be in the car and dash out to find a cache or too, and a on the run type picnic. Guess we found 5-6 cache and killed a few hours. Thanks for the fun.
