Determined to complete our shopping and game of Guess Who today, n0w0rries and I found a place to park and set off for our first search for the day.
We found the recommended way in for a straightforward find.

This morning's mission was to Guess Who before the series is archived.
Charles was second on my list, and with the GZ coordinates obtained during the week with a nudge from the CO (I was so close, but yet so far), I followed the instructions and made a quick uneventful find. There was certainly none of the odd surroundings mentioned by many previous finders.

jimbo_80 we have had so much fun finding your caches and are very sad to hear that you are going to be archiving them for good. We were so sad to see what happened to your bird box construction and understand your frustration with finders not treating your hides with the respect they deserve by leaving chicken nuggets in your containers and stealing your plastic bags, however I hope you can see past these few silly people and recognise the serious joy you have brought so many cachers with your clever hides and even better puzzles, nearly 200 favourite points worth.
Well with only a couple of weeks to go, we needed to start finding some of our unfound caches in this series. The puzzles are our favourite. We were stumped on this one for a long time after trying so many things. On new years eve I had an idea, based on one of the Let's Go Shopping puzzles and it was right! That made us very happy as it was the last jimbo_80 puzzle we had left to solve.
GZ took us to a place we love. We had a good walk around and had no difficulty making the find, once again making a note of the clue.
Thanks jimbo_80, we will try to find the rest before they go.

I needed a little nudge from the CO to solve this one (I was on the right track but couldn't see the connection). I found Charles hanging out in the bushes with a pair of someone else's shoes. The things you find when caching lol!
The last cache in the series besides the final for me with the series coming to an end I decided to come out and grab this cache this evening.
I actually really enjoyed figuring out this puzzle and it had been on my list to work on for a while, but the notification that the series was being archived really pushed me to work on this one.
The area chosen for GZ was absolutely gorgeous and I very much enjoyed my walk to GZ.
The cache was we found fairly quickly once at GZ and I’m definitely glad I approach from the North as I didn’t read the hint until I was at GZ.
The cache was in great shape, the hint for the final was easily readable, and the logbook was nice and dry. TFTC

Unfortunately I'm archiving my caches after Easter, so please make sure you find them before then. If you need puzzle help, let me know

Out and about doing some shopping today with the misses but still needed an unknown for my calendar so here I am.
Solved this puzzle the other week with a little help and prompting form the cache owner, thanks.
A nice easy find today in the drizzle plus a little more moisture from all the undergrowth.
Cache container in good order.
**Thanks for placing this cache jimbo_80**

In Melbourne for 2 days to help celebrate the palindromic date with fellow cachers last night, we worked through a presolved mystery list as well as adding some labcaches and multis into the mix. Working on 3 different series at once we knew we were going to run out of time so the best we could do was search for those in close proximity to each other.
The pixelated puzzle took a few rounds to work out before the characters were sorted into coordinates.
Thanks jimbo_80 for the Guess Who mystery placement.

I needed a leg up from a chum to solve this puzzle. I don't think I could have sorted it out otherwise. At the final GZ the cache was found where I thought it would be.
Well this gives me real sense of achievement to find this after finally solving the puzzle ( with some hints from the CO- thanks). A fun series I am enjoying. TFTC
After some hints from the CO I solved this puzzle back in 2017... I can't believe it's taken me over 4 years to collect this cache! Now to put the clues together to find Richard...
We had some trouble solving this one, but after some hints from others we soon had it solved.
After being on the wrong path (oops) we corrected ourselves and had the cache in hand pretty quickly. TFTC

needed a nudge from the CO to unravel this puzzle, but once the hint was provided, the solution fell-out quickly. This has sat in our solved pile, within our 5km zone, for a number of months. and so it was today with hand sanitizer at the ready we took the walk to the well-hidden GZ.
Clue collected, cache signed and then all wiped-down again. Thanks heaps for the cache and great series!

Charles, Charles.... He just did not make it easier at all. Many guesses were made before finally the "ok". In my opinion Charles is much like Chad off SNL. So today some exercise was taken around this lovely open space area. With clue collected now it only Richard to visit now. Really enjoyed this series.

I found this cache today on our Maroondah Morning Meander. We finally picked up the last preliminary in this series. A beautiful spot and right on the mark. Our 18th cache find was made not too far from here back in 2004. I noted that this cache is offline and marked as missing. I can vouch that it is definitely in place in the spot as described by the hint. Thanks from D & HA B-A
This time last year I did a maintenance run, and all my caches were in place. Then they were disabled for 8 months last year. But now nearly half have gone missing - thanks Rona!
So I'm working on it, but I'm a bit slow, sorry. Hopefully soon.

I finally solved this puzzle a few weeks ago after stewing over it for a very long time. I had looked at this puzzle from time to time since it was published and did lots of online research but couldn't figure it out. After recently doing some of the CO's other puzzles I eventually realised what I needed to look for and the method to obtain the numbers. I was finally able to enter my co-ords in the geochecker and it gave me a tick on my first attempt.
Today the geobeagles needed walkies and their humans needed some essential exercise after being home all day. Not many muggles or canines today so it was easy to maintain our social distancing. We had a lovely stroll through the park but then did a bush bash to GZ. Thanks to the spot-on co-ords and the good hint we found the cache after a brief search and signed the log at 5:10 pm. TN except the clue and LN. After finding the cache we made sure we used some hand sanitiser to stay safe. We then found a much easier way back to our car.
Thanks jimbo_80 for the challenging puzzle and the well-hidden cache and for bringing us back to this picturesque park which we used to come to a lot but now haven't visited for many years. Now to find the other caches in this fun series.

After bush whacking where we didn't need to go, finally found the elusive "Charles". Finding the cache wasn't the hard bit. The puzzle before hand.... finally after a couple of clues from owner, (I already knew the first one)I was on the right track but took me a while to get the correct co-ordinates, finally after trying different combos in the checker I came up with the right one. Thank you for driving me crazy and my son thinks you have way too much time on your hands.
I have been whittling down this series bit by bit. After this guess I will be ready for my final guess. At the GZ it was a quick find. TNLN. TFTC.
A beautiful sunny day in winter, what better thing to do than cache! A little searching and it was found tucked away safe and sound. Thanks jimbo_80
Well I found this very hard going. If it wasn't for the great help given me by the CO, I would never have achieved this find. Thanks jimbo_80. Cache is in pristine condition.
This afternoon I headed out to see if I could find some of the Guess Who series. Upon arrival here, it was clear there has been a muggling. The zip lock and log were still in place, however, the sistema is nowhere to be found. Some maintenance may be required here. Thanks so much for placing this cache jimbo_80, I’m sorry to bring bad news.
My mission today was to complete the Guess Who series, but I also was able to grab a few of the new Jimbo_80 series while I was out and about. This was the only one in the series that had caused me grief, and I had been sitting on it for about a month with no success. I finally caved and asked CO for a tiny nudge - it was something I already suspected but at least I knew I was on the right track. After another hour or so of playing around with ideas I finally cracked the checker, and today was the day to grab the last of the series. At GZ it was a quick find - I can't believe this park doesnt have more caches in it. Off to the final! TFTC
Charles had been in the too-hard basket for quite some time after completing the other 5 in the series. After revisiting the puzzle, still with no success, contacted the CO for a nudge in the right direction, which thankfully led to the correct coordinates. Some months later we finally went in search of the cache. After approaching from probably the wrong parking area and following paths that didn't end up in the right area, found the easy way in, and from reading previous logs, tried to avoid the rubbish camp, a short search had the cache in hand.
Now all the info needed to go and find Richard.
Thanks jimbo_80 for the clever puzzle (and the nudge)

This puzzle did give me lots of trouble and spent lots of time on an incorrect path trying to find connections that didn't exist. I let this puzzle sit 2 times and on the 3rd viewing decided to contact the CO that gave me a nudge. With clue in hand, I did some more searching and was able to find some more clues and then finally had a good set of coordinates.
At the GZ I went an incorrect way and had to double back to get to the GZ. It was luckily quite quiet at this time of night, and I can imagine it would be more difficult to get to the GZ during the day. I resorted to the hint quite quickly as it was quite cold and didn't want my torch to give my position away. TFTC.

Finally managed to finish this series, and great series it was too. This was the hardest to solve but we go there eventually. Thanks for the effort with all these hides. TrailStevo and I are happy to put smiley faces on the map. Cheers Jimbo_80
Only a few caches tonight but it was a big night completing the guess who series with Gunks after being stuck with Charles for months. Also did my first wherigo for some new fun then some traditionals to finish the evening. TFTC This one threw us for ages after the simpler first 5.

I'm doing March Mystery Month for a challenge cache and I need a few more.
I found a bunch of different sources of info for this cache but not the one required. A tip from a fellow cacher had me with a set of coords.
A few muggles around today but no trouble getting to gz unseen.
Thanks jimbo_80 for the series and the cache.

Ohh and a pair of jocks...

Fantastic series.
Thanks for the adventure.

Found on a busy and noisy weekday: arborists were cutting down branches and mulching them, workmen were installing a new playground and a gardener was whizzing around on an ATV. I managed to avoid all these distractions and find the cache, but admit to using an unusual method for calculating the position of GZ. Tftc.
Wow. Charles turned out to be a hard one. without a nudge from CO I would not have found it. The resulting information needed to solve this was quite funny once I found it. Kids look so happy playing the game - and I am happy too for solving it. Crafty puzzle. As for the hide - well it was likely a nice spot but it is a bogon camp and I was not just looking for the cache but also my wallet that somebody of this ilk stole a few weeks back based on the camp site. Found the undies and found the cache. Thanks to Jimbo_80 for the cache.
This was a straight forward puzzle once jimbo_80 gave me a hint and then an almighty shove in the right direction!
Due to road works and closures I was fortunate to park close to GZ. There was concern the cache would be AWOL as someone has a camp close by and had left there undies lying around.
No problems, log book signed and cache well hidden again.

I knew Charles was going to be trouble right from the start!
I made a bit of progress initially but soon hit a brick wall. Luckily the CO helped me out with a couple of nudges. VERY sneaky. I don’t think I would have looked there by myself but will hopefully remember to pay more attention in future puzzle attempts.
I’d visited Charles’ neighbourhood a couple of times before. Son_of_a_doctor made the find and we were soon saying hi and bye to the infamous man himself. TFTC jimbo_80, time for a lie down! But first, onto Richard...

Credit to the CO and a fellow cachers who gave us a nudge withe the puzzle. Its a good one for sure! At gz the gpsr turned us around a couple of times and when we stumbled on the homeless persons camp we knew we were getting close.
Thanks for the puzzle, cache and a fun series. Now off to find the final
Thanks for the puzzle, cache and a fun series. Now off to find the final
This cache gave us a lot of trouble, from needing one too many hints for the puzzle, coming by at night and having to retreat due to spiders, to having the trees interfere with the gps. Got there in the end, only the final left tftc
This one has had me going for a while. Thought I knew where it was located but that is one big lake area. Enjoyed the walk around it a couple of times and found things I did not know about. Then I went back to putting my thinking hat on and eventually raf for a little direction. It still took a while from that. Excellent challenge jimbo_80 It gets a favorite from me. Thanks very much for the tours of that area
Today's weather was lovely warm. Headed out for a hunt "Guess Who" series with crank1 & Everlasting. Awesome and clever puzzle, I really enjoyed it very much. It took me ages to solve them. Beautiful place and interesting to see a bit of history. Thanks jimbo_80 for a great communication and bringing us here .
Head out to Croydon and Ringwood
to finish off with Guess who.
Found it and log it with Everlasting and Pwala

Out for the afternoon with lochb catching up on some of the many finds GJMMelb had done before/without us, I remembered this series had caused us some trouble on one of our puzzle evenings. As I recall it was lochb and J' of GJMMelb who had concentrated on this one, probably with some ideas thrown around the table as G' and I tackled other equally troublesome puzzle caches. Anyway, heading to GZ despite lochb's yearning for coffee and our combined yawning - there was something in the air today! - I think I U-turned too soon and ended up in the wrong carpark but it was serendipitous as we still had access to GZ from here and there was coffee too - a win-win!! LOL We took a, umm, "scenic" route to GZ after our various releases of OpenStreetMaps guided us down the wrong path, but that too worked out OK as it gave us a wide berth of a muggle BBQ/party and we were able to approach GZ unseen. lochb found the cache despite my reaching GZ first - a 50:50 chance and I picked the wrong one as all too often the case [sigh]... TFTC, clue gathered (I think we missed one at an previous Guess Who? cache though...)

Find #8971
Today I was on a quest to clear some caches in my 10k zone and also to complete this series. I had struggled for so long getting this puzzle out but finally I had something the checker was happy with. I was worried there would be too many muggles today but on approach, nobody in sight.
Many thanks to jimbo_80 for the cache. TNLN.

This one has been on the pile of "caches to think about" for some time. Finally today stumbled across the answer and changed it to a smiley. thanks for the adventure, now on to the Final.
The CO is aware that I needed a wee nudge to get this solved. I'd looked at it fairly shortly after publication to no avail, then put it aside. Upon dragging it out again this week my original notes still seemed underwhelming and further staring was getting me nowhere.
I'm pleased to say that the aforementioned nudge got me over the hump almost immediately. "Why on earth didn't I pursue that avenue before?" type sentiments were probably uttered. A new means of imposing order on things was quickly formulated and found to have merit. Though I skillfully typed the wrong digits into the checker for many minutes so as to obscure the fact that I'd got the gist of it. What a nifty puzzle! At GZ the cache revealed itself quickly. Hurrah! Thanks a lot jimbo_80!

Out on bike to clear out some solved puzzles and some of this series. I needed a nudge to solve and once on the right wavelength puzzle was solved. I rode over some smashed glass through here, luckily not causing a puncture. Thanks for the puzzle and the series , only a couple more to go
I needed a cache for today's calendar and this was the last in this series I needed to get so I combined it with a nice lunch.
After a nice feed we headed out to look and the geokids spotted it straight away.
Took me quite some time to realise what I had to do to solve the puzzle though. The best part was getting the FTF with The Welder on the final of the series.
Thanks jimbo_80 for the cache, the adventure, the hunt and the fun.

It took me a little while to figure out Charles's problem, and I think I've narrowed it down: it's either the stashe or the Tigers supporting. Both together really is too much. No wonder she left.
Loved the puzzle, and working it out reminded me of why I originally enjoyed geocaching so much. Saw the bogan camp at GZ, but didn't run into any live specimens. I think Charles himself might hang out there when his mum's obsession with Eddie Maguire gets too heavy.
Thanks for this series, jimbo_80.

Had this one solved for a while now but wanted to finish this awesome series with my Geo buddy Happy pants, who I started it with.
So finally we both had some spare time on a Sunday arvo to smash a few caches.
As in previous logs we found the camp near gz, but no one home today.
After a short search we soon had the cache in hand.
Now onto the final one.

Found this afternoon with omegaman1971 after starting this series a little while ago, with this tricky puzzle sorted it was a case of swinging past the gz and after a little circling a bout we had the cache in hand and the final piece needed for the last one to go. Thanks jimbo_80 for the cache.
When we got to the fifth cache, we hit upon a bit of an issue. The usual cacher problem of hard way in and easy way out (which still sounds like one of those dodgy bumper sticker jokes) was compounded by a ... *discovery*. I peered into the near distance. "I can see a camp" I hissed at the other ladies. I wasn't sure if there were occupants. We edged out of the area we were in and I found another (still tricky) route in. The camp was definitely there. I realised the others were trying other routes so I hissed back "if I scream, you have to come in!" "If you scream, we'll run away" said mrs R, comfortingly. I edged forward and determined that the camp was empty. Phew! It was also not all that close to the final coordinates. Also phew.
We signed and then found the very simple much easier exit route, and went on our way.

I'm hardly surprised that Charles still lives with his Mum. Firstly, that moustache........'nuff said!!!
Secondly, I'm sure I saw him featured on the Vic Pol Facebook page last week. Something about holding up a pokies venue with a bread stick under his jacket, trying to pass it off as a shotgun.
And thirdly, anyone who is THAT obsessed with football has no time for a relationship.
I think Charles needs to take a long hard look at himself.
Getting to GZ was "interesting". We, of course, went the hard way.....not through the Garden of Peace or the pretty paved path.....but through the scrub, where we stumbled upon a squatters camp. Luckily no one was home to greet us (probably would have been with a bottle smashed over our heads) so we scowled and screwed up our noses at the litter and kept plowing through the plants towards GZ. The squatter camp is actually visible from GZ, just to let you know. I'm not sure if this is a full-time residence or just party central on a Saturday night.
OMGoodness, was this one a puzzle and a half!! Lol We were away when these caches were published but on returning home discovered this one had still not been found ... The CO had contacted us regarding one of our caches and gave us a hint that he gave to everyone who had contacted him, thing was we had already realised this but had got nowhere with this info .. well I had ended up in China but this was of no help ...
So one cold wet weekend we had a puzzle solving day at home with Quiet1_au and lochb and started working on it again ... well we tried this and we tried that but were getting nowhere, so we contacted the CO again and with another nudge along the path wefinally got there ...... we had actually had the info in hand like about 50 times but hadnt realised!!! Must have been the Richmond vibes putting us off! And Alfred barracks for the Magpies ... Now if they had barracked for the right team, I am sure we would have been on more sympathetic terms and extracted the info sooner!!
On to GZ... well M has outlined our experience perfectly!! V had gone ahead alone and we were listening for screams so we could run the other way .... I mean go rescue her

So hergab69 mentioned to me she wanted to start this series. Oh yeah! I'll be in that! I've been wanting to do these since they came out!
So we picked a timeslot at work when the coast was clear and did a runner. Fired up Cookie Monsta, and Eye of the Tiger was on the radio. How apt. Within minutes we were parked and rushing to find this nicely hidden cache.
Great puzzle jimbo_80! And congrats on your series. Nice work!
Looking forward to the rest of them.

Solved this a few weeks ago but hadn't had time to collect. Grabbed OzHoxkeyChick and we snuck out of work for a little caching in the rain. Wasn't really dressed for the occasion but maybe I have set a new fashion trend with work skirt and shirt with runners..
Can't wait to find the rest to complete the series. TFTC

I had been looking for Charles for a couple of weeks. I had been planning my AFL SuperCoach Team and wanted to get his advice on some of the lesser known Richmond players. But I couldn't get in touch with him. In fact, it was like he was actively avoiding me...
Desperate for every SuperCoach advantage I could get, I continued searching for him. I pounded the pavement and knocked on doors, but couldn't get a lead. At one place I looked, I came back to find my car lights left on and a resultant flat battery. Maybe it was a sign to give up, but I paid it no heed and continued my search on foot. Almost immediately, a prayer was answered. Geo_Seek told me that she had seen a Tigers scarf nearby with Charles' initials on it. It was an important clue, but still... where was he?
I remembered being in this area on my door knock earlier in the week. And then it dawned on me...
Alfred!!
Yes, his best mate, Alfred, lives around here. Maybe Charles told Alfred not to tell me where he was, but I wasn't going to let him escape this time.
With an agreed meeting time, I watched Alfred's back door while Geo_Seek knocked at the front. And there, answering the door, was Charles. He wasn't expecting Geo_Seek. And that made all the difference.
I came around the corner and he knew he couldn't avoid me any longer. So we went in, sat down and had a chat. You see, it turns out that Charles and his Mum had had an argument because Charles kept watching ALL the football pre-season games on the telly with the volume up way too high. So feeling frustrated, Charles was temporarily staying with Alfred because Alfred had just bought a new big screen TV for the man-cave. The fellas could watch all the games there and not be disturbed. They'd also been preparing their own SuperCoach teams and didn't want to give away any of their secrets until the season started. No wonder I couldn't find him until now!
It soon became too hard to talk further as the boys cranked up the volume for the start of another replayed game. So Geo_Seek and I took our leave, but not before Charles had imparted a little of his expertise. It was the least he could do after we'd reunited him with his precious scarf!
Thanks so much jimbo_80. I've had a ball chasing your first caches through this Guess Who series over the last fortnight. Can't wait to see more of your great work in the future.

Thanks Jimbo for all the time and research you have put into this series. My second only FTF (shared this time with The Welder).
