Ohhh I don't think it's there any more! Fun puzzle nonetheless, which I certainly overcomplicated...
#14674 13:55A few days in the Southern Highland is not complete without finding the odd cache.A fun puzzle to solve and easy cache to find after studying some of the informative information panels.TFTC
Thankfully today was a better weather day for caching with ilook4geo. We are still hunting around the many caches available in the Mittagong area. No problem with this one and all was returned to its place after the signing duties were done. Thanks go to AsTheCrowsFly' for placing this cache.
Cooler today, so more caching was on the program with goingplaces2. Found a good mixture. Did the necessary duties here and were soon on our way again. TFTC.
Super easy on all fronts here, definitely worthy of the D1T1 rating, but no less fun for it by any means! Love a good red herring!!Signed the log and replaced as found; TFTC!
Interesting name for a cache . The puzzle “ red herring “had me for a moment. A little chuckle to myself as I solved the obvious. At GZ was full of information until some muggle came out of the toilets so I had to pretend I was planning my trip. TFTC 154Crows

Day 1/4 of our Mittagong/Goulburn Trip.
After the drive down today, we had a bit of time up our sleeves for some local caching, we found a bunch of great caches and had plenty of fun!
Quick puzzle, quick find! All in good condition.

I worked out this puzzle ages ago and stopped in to find GZ as I was passing through. Nice easy find
Stopped to use the bathroom, looked at the map and then made a quick solve of the puzzle. Off to make a quick grab. TFTC.
We had planned on a strenuous day of activities, then changed our minds due to the heat and humidity. So four of us set of in a nice airconditioned car to pick us some caches. The focus for the day was geocaches, virtual caches and a few Adventure Labs. And what a great day it was as we went along Lake George, through Goulburn and then on to the Southern Highlands. many thanks to the geocachers who have put out so many interesting caches.

A change of plans early morning from hiking to driving. It was too hot today for much more than 'sedentary' exercise. With two Cachers and two Muggles we aimlessly headed northwards for a drive that took us all over the place to a few interesting locations.
This cache was as far as we ventured today. Quick find near a lovely building. TFTC AsTheCrowsFly.

Great spot. Thanks to the good coordinates this cache wasn’t too hard to find. Plenty of snails thought it was a good spot too.

Ahhh a puzzle at my level.... I vaguely remember solving this awhile back and today found myself in the vicinity. After parking the geo-mobile, I strolled over to GZ but a woman was standing right where I needed to be. So I continued on past her and pretended to read some of the signs nearby while I waited. Once she was gone it was a quick find after getting myself into a position where I could spot the nicely hidden container. TFTC!
Found It!
A nice simple puzzle that didn't cause me too much trouble. Got a tick on the checker then today I visited GZ and soon found the cache!

Stopped here for the loo. Very convenient spot. I saw some interesting signs and something advertising Southern PIElands which sounds amazing and makes me think I need to come back then.
Getting away to the Southern Highlands for some caching as this is an area I have previously largely ignored, save for Forest of Fear. It was my intention today to just "go nuts" caching until my heart was content and see new places and hopefully get 10k steps, and I ended up with 11k so I'm happy.

Bonjour 154 Crows. Our first visit to the Southern Highlands. A convenient place to stop. Took a few minutes to find. My darling Lawrence was brave enough to find it. Merci
We have travelled from Sydney’s Northern Beaches to the NSW Southern Highlands for a short midweek caching holiday, staying in a park cabin at the Mittagong Caravan Park at Emu Plains, and are planning to explore the areas around Mittagong, Bowral, Mount Gibraltar, and Box Vale. Hoping to collect a variety of cache types, including some Earthcaches and Wherigos and previously solved Puzzle caches, and to also complete some of the Adventure Labs in the area. This was our 20th find of the day, and 20th find of the holiday.
The family's chief puzzle solver had solved the puzzle for this one before leaving home, and so it was added to our holiday caching list. Arrived at final GZ and made a nice quick find in a logical spot. TNLNSL, and then replaced as found. Thanks 154 Crows for the puzzle & cache.

Finally avenged my previous DNF. Obviously I was not ignorant enough on my last attempt. TFTC.
Find Number 2156 found at 08:10. Today we found 10 regular caches and 5 Lab caches. We had 0 DNFs.
The Victorian family came up for their long weekend and we all headed up to the Highlands to meet with the Robertson family members. This morning, after an overnight stop in Mittagong, I met up with geoson NationalSteel for a morning's caching.
This cache was not far from our motel and I had previously DNFed it, so I decided to have another try on the way to meet with nationalSteel. This time I checked more carefully and found the neatly hidden container. Always good to avenge a DNF, especially a 1/1!
The cache was in good condition. We took nothing, left nothing, signed the log and replaced the container as found

Down from the Eastern Suburbs with frazeydaze to attend the Cito at Alexander Lake and find a few other unfound caches around town.
With gz coords worked out frazeydaze was all over this one. She parked the car and quickly strode off to gz and the CIH before I had my phone out of the pocket.

Teamed up with C2019 for the day and found all caches were in good order even after the soaking that has occurred and we where fortunate that the weather refrained all day.Made hard work of what should have been an easy find!

Starting off the geoventure with my partner in crime Mizcupcake today nice and early. We're here in the Mittagong area and enjoying the great weather. Find number 13 for us for today and only 1 DNF. We 'solved' this puzzle awhile ago but didn't have a chance to come and get it until now. We parked at the visitors centre and walked around enjoying the gardens and learning a little history before coming up to gz. Finding this one quickly with no muggles around, we completed signing duties and replaced. TFTC 154 Crows!
Littl3Vix and I have decided to hit up the Southern Highlands for our big geo adventure today. We have a big day planned, Bowral and surrounds is the perfect place for us, many caches and many cache types! Plus, who can forget that its EarthCache weekend? So away we went!
After our bush walk it was time for some food, but first, we stopped in for this mystery. Such a lovely garden! We enjoyed wandering around while waiting out the muggles who had stopped in just before us. Once they had left, it was a quick find. Thanks for bringing us here!

Tricky as I fell for a decoy tell tale and thought it was missing. All good at GZ. TFTC
Heading home from the outlaws place - driving by myself and had the time so a few caches were targeted on the way him. A few in Sydney then various spots along the Hume Highway - all caches searched for found so have to be happy with that.
I solved this one during the COVID lockdown (amongst a number of puzzles) and was annoyed I didn’t get a chance to grab it on our recent stop. So I stopped again for Mittagong to pick up this time. A nice puzzle (made me laugh at least) but at GZ pays to be observant (was smaller than I was expecting). Misread the parking and so had to walk further than I planned.
Unfortunately I should have read the last log as after signing I needed to head to the toilet as a tourist read the info at GZ and as I closed I heard a clunk which proved to be the magnet falling out. Looked for as long as I could without looking suspicious and tried to hide but put near the structure.: Message sent to CO of where it is placed (will only be obvious to a cacher) but if no response over the next few days will put in Needs Maintenance log - sorry about that (would have replaced if i had my cache kit).

Heading. South so with a few more solved it was time to detour via town. The hide was soon spotted but the magnet is loose. We completed the signing duties and re hid. TFTC.
After checking into our hotel, I walked down to grab this easy puzzle. A quick find at GZ, however I found the magnet where the cache should’ve been and found the cache below it on the ground. I tried to wedge it back as much as I could when I left but the cache will indeed need some maintenance. A funny puzzle and a great location, however. TFTC!
Wow! Didn't expect to literally walk straight to this one. With all the possibilities available - but walk right up to it I did. Yay me! TFTC
Had just enough ignorance to crack the puzzle. I managed to put my hand straight on it - I am sure we have been here before and not found it. Thanks 154 Crows
Last time we had an ignominious defeat at finding this one. This time we were ignited with passion and carrying more ignorance than we thought possible found it almost straight away. Thanks 154 Crows.

I "solved" this one especially for our trip to Mittagong. I'm sure I know what I was looking for and I'm sure that I was searching the right place, but I just couldn't see it. Maybe I'm just suffering from cache blindness, but I did search for a long time.
Maybe next time.
Thanks AsTheCrowsFly' for the cache, anyway

I solved this fun and cheeky cache on the train from Sydney Central. Quickly spotted in the first place I looked. Nice accurate coordinates, thanks.

Found with WaywardWoman on a caching day out. As we headed to GZ she said it looked familiar. After I logged us, she looked in her cache pages and she had already done it!! Oh well, so have I now! TFTC
Dam the log was hard to get out of this one. Found with sjg66 on our Highlands caching weekend. Thanks to all the CO's who maintain these caches, we had a great time.
Wow! That was tiny, and blended in so well. It was great to stop here and take a break from a drive today. We are visiting from Brisbane for the weekend to celebrate her 90th birthday in our family in the southern highlands. On the way we managed to collect a couple of geocaches which broke up the drive.
We had solved this puzzle some time ago back at home, and today we’re happy to make the finder. Even with four eyes looking for it, it is certainly well hidden.
Thanks

An early start form the mega HQ to head to the capital and find a few on the way! TFTC!!
Our last find of the day with Katt and Isla. A big day not represented by the three smileys we captured - the first a Mega. Spending the rest of the day celebrating a 21st.
The geo family were on a trip up north. We started out early to make the most of our day travelling to some areas we had never been to before. This cache was one my list, my last needed for my puzzle mystery matrix. The puzzle soon tricked me but I had what was needed to make the find here today. Thankfully the coast was clear an the geo kids and I made the find.

Today was a great day out with awesome friends and some great caches. Tankengine, Joolay, Kittykatch and I planned a day of caching up north from home in a few of the smaller towns. We started at 8:30am and were home by 7:30pm. We had so much fun finding caches, seeing the sights, laughing and exploring. Thanks guys for a great day out and lots of laughs.

Another one I solved a while back. In Mittagong for business. I always visit the local green grocer so was fortunate not to park beside it as someone had forgotten to tell the travellers & truckies that Mittagong's bypassed. Walked up the road & made a quick find, even getting the logbook back in without angst. Thanks.
A couple of weeks ago when I was planning a day in Bowral I spotted this puzzle on my direct route.
Well what do you know....I am just ignorant enough to be able to solve it!
So with co-ords in hand I made this my first stop on the way down. It turned out to be a great choice as I initially grabbed my first cache of the day then made my way to the nearby Information Centre where I was given some local maps which were very helpful for the days walks and caches, and shared some history with the lady on duty. Even those of us from the Big Smoke know some unique little known historical facts.

Lol very clever I read too. Read too much in to it before I decided to be ignorant myself. At GZ a muggle was sitting on a bench and queried us as to what we were doing. We then proceeded to tell him all about geocaching which fascinated and scared him at the same time “aren’t you worried about people tracking you?” “It’s like Pokémon go?” Etc. We showed him the container and he was amazed! Hopefully another convert to our fun game. Signed and replaced TFTC.

I did not have any plans to coming do any geocaching today, but a chance conversation with The Rats on Friday evening changed that. He pointed out that there were two events on in the Highlands today, and that he could get away for a morning out. And just like that, some plans were hatched.
We headed off reasonably early, and made our way to the first event. Between events we found one of the new Geo Trails nearby, and then headed to the second event. Finally we nabbed some Mittagong caches, before visiting an Earth Cache (apparently that is a thing today) and heading back for home. An excellent morning out, despite the cold weather, and at times torrential rain!
Not sure how we failed to find this one on a previous hunt?!
Thanks to all of the cache hiders for their efforts in placing and maintaining their hides. It was fantastic exploring this part of the world.
Cheers

I need 16 more caches to get my final Hidden Creature souvenir after getting a bunch yesterday. And I only have today and tomorrow to grab them.
Never to be one to leave it to the last minute (yeah, right), I was hoping I could get all of them today.
I'd failed to complete *The Crow* series before going overseas - and I still have eleven of them left. With a few others, that'll get me my souvenir.
Unfortunately I left home a lot later than I should - I blame jet lag - and only started into the reserve at 2pm. I should be back to the car by 5, but then I'll still have more finds.
Used the same tactic as last time and looked to head straight to my furthest target then make the finds on the way back - well, mostly.
Got back to *The Hademobile* on time but that still meant that some of my final finds back near town were in more dark than I'd have preferred.
But I got my sixteen!

I don't know anything! I didn't see anything! And you can't prove otherwi... oh hold on, I signed the log!
I still need five caches in order to get the final souvenir. So of course I go past the four logical first targets and come here.
And I didn't see it immediately, so wondered where else it could be. Ended up feeling it rather than spotting it.
Signed and replaced. Then back the way I came as sunset arrives.
Cute puzzle.

I had solved this fun puzzle a while ago and we stopped close by on our way to Robertson so I was able to try and covert this to a smiley. Arriving at GZ, the compass pointed to a likely structure and it wasn’t long until it was CIH! Very appropriately placed, love the follow through on the theme for this cache! Signed the log and returned as found, all is in good order here. Would love to spend more time caching in this area, will be back again soon....

Headed up to Sydney for a Dr appt today. Messaged darkonas delights to see if he wanted to keep me company.
On our way back home, we dropped into Mittagong for a few more caches. I had pre-solved a couple of mystery's and was glad to finally be able to go searching for them.
This was the first and was a very quick find as the area was muggle free. However, we were asked by a muggle if we were pokemon hunting as we headed back to the car lol.
