EN : Technical stop here . While the group goes to the toilets, we take the opportunity to look for this cache. The box was quickly found. Thank you to all the installers for the work carried out for our greatest pleasure. Greetings from France. Our Travel Bugs pass through this cache but do not come out of our backpack; they continue the adventure with us. Trip to New Zealand, decided very quickly , but that didn't stop us from preparing a small file of caches to search, as far as possible. The GC46 was, of course, at the top of that list! and there you have it, we visited it during our stay in Wellington. Yesss!! Our program should allow us to discover a large part of this country.Fr : Arrt technique ici . Found this one with TTO1 and TTO2 today. TTO1 and I are touring New Zealand with TTO2 for a couple of weeks and our travels brought us by this cache. So, we just had to stop and find it. Nicely hidden cache here. I enjoyed learning about the history on the cache page. Were really enjoying our visit and have been exploring lots of cool spots. Im sure that we will still have a lot that we didnt get to see on this trip, so I look forward to coming back again some time to see some more of this beautiful country. Thanks for the fun!
NZ_B and I are on a road trip to the Geo Toroa Mega and back. I'm also aiming for a multi every day, so it is now titled the "Mega Multi Road Trip." Today is Day 12 from Queenstown to Lake Tekapo. A very fun tribute cache I was keen to stop for (and of course the convenient toilets), and the hide blended in well. Thank you for the fun cache. It's nice to have a trip where, alongside targeted caches, we also take time to find one's on a whim or ones that take a bit longer. We have all day and the caches are calling...
Day 8, and the last full day of our NZ mega mega holiday with The_Tritonz: Twizel to Cromwell via Mount Cook.Nearly the end of our last full day, and boy was it a ripper. It started with a lot of stars unexpectedly aligning and us ending up on a helicopter flight over the Tasman Glacier to the snow covered Liebig Dome, with magnificent views across to Mount Cook. This was followed by a visit to the fantastic Visitor Centre at Mount Cook Village. Lunch at Omarama then a stop for beautiful snowy views at Lindis Pass, how much better could this day get? Ahhh now here we are in Tarras, where the is a great story about Shrek the Sheep, and delicious real fruit ice cream. With Milford Sound and the Dunedin GeoToroa Mega Event, this truly is a jam packed holiday to remember. A nice quick find here at GZ while eating our icecreams. TFTC Guzzi Riders.
On an overseas adventure in the company of chooknchunk we explored this wondrous country enjoying all the locations each and every cache took us to.Today we explored Mt Cook and oh, what an experience. Our first stop was a 40 minute helicopter flight which was just amazing, then coffee and then caching.Heading back to Cromwell now we are experiencing some more lovely locations with geocaches. We called into Tarras Village to enjoy a natural fruit icecream with the bonus of this cache. Blends in well. Thanks Guzzi Riders for the placement.
Got it - ring ring to 09004shrek - great hide - visit from South Africa - with keydey
Found this in a bag of sand in the ground. Not sure where it fell from so i put it back where i thought it might have been.[TFTC]
Quick find! Lovely little stop for an ice cream! The GPS location was off. TFTC!
found 14/7/24 but forgot to log. obviously there'd be a cache here. tftc shawn
What a pleasant surprise. Had a cup of coffee and cheese scone. While Mrs M went into the shop I checked the phone for caches. Great that one was close by and named after an iconic part of NZ history. Took longer to find than it should have until I found a log which gave a crucial clue. Thanks for setting it up.
Lovely little hide! Be sure to stop in at the village store for some fudge! OMG! Greetings from Australia
Found while stopped at a wonderful coffee shop. Tarras Country Cafe. Their food and coffee are all works of art. The story behind this cache is excellent too. Thank you for bringing me here and telling me about Shrek
I was just about to give up when I was spotted by a friendly local who gave me encouragement why I couldnt see it the first time.
Just getting around to logging the caches I found while visiting New Zealand from the U.S. with LaFavorite Cacher. We had a great time traveling around the country seeing the sights and picking up some caches along the way.Thank you for being a part of our adventures!Note: LaFavorite Cacher has sent in the answers for any earthcaches or virtuals required for both of us.
GeoJayne and I made our way from Lake Tekapo to Mt Cook and then on to Wanaka. It was a beautiful, sunshiny day. We didn't get as early a start as we would have liked because I hoped to see a sunrise. Nope. No luck there. That meant we made our way to the Hooker Valley Track later than we would have liked so we spent time with hundreds of new friends! LOLAfter completing the hike, we made our way to Wnaka. We stopped for several caches along the way. I may or may not have missed at least one sight we wanted to take in, but I am going to use my exhaustion as an excuse. We had a big discussion about Shrek the Sheep after reading the description of this cache. We have seen many sheep along the roadways, but none of them were as silly as Shrek was. This was NOT a quick find. If not for a nearby merchant, we would still probably be looking in the wrong spot. Doh!Thank you for the smiley and the fun!
Took us a while to find this as we were a bit wary of wasps. Sure enough there was a nest very close to this cache but luckily we didn't discover it until we had found the cache. Then it was a very quick return! Cache is all good. TFTC

Good little hide once you figure it out. Sadly it seems the shrek museum is closed for good the doors shut and everything looks to be in boxes. TFTC
Having spent a lovely three days in Otematata we then made our way over to Queenstown - we grabbed a few caches on the way. Parked nearby and wandered over to GZ. Familiar with this type of hide location as there are many in the original type of phone boxes back in the UK. Cache spotted but so was a small wasp nest ( we may be corrected about them being wasps - see photo)Log signed and replaced TFTCTim and Viv - ddm
Tftc. An interesting wee area, not just a corner dairy anymore. Nice dry cache, easy find
GPS was taking me to a different spot but the cache title suggested where it should be. I finally spied the well camouflaged cache and signed my name. TFTC.
Cache was a quick find after I had lunch at the nearby cafe. I hadnt planned on stopping here but traffic had been diverted over the Crown Range because of an accident. I will never get home to Christchurch at this rate
Day 9: Across the Lindis PassThe route for today brought us back to close the big loop of our Southern journey by passing through Omarama and the Lindis Pass and back into Cromwell where we stayed the night. This would be my first trip across the Pass and we found many caches along the way, including the highlight of the day at the Bendigo Historic Reserve. Thanks for all of the caches along the route!(End of the cut and paste bit)Heres the specific log for the cache:I was actually surprised my wife knew the story of Shrek The Sheep - she has pockets of random knowledge that surprises me sometimes. We decided to stop here in Tarras for lunch, and I picked this one up after missing the cache the first time round at GZ. Again, I am a bit blind today, but not too blind. TFTC!
Found 7 December, 23. Coordinates are off and sent us into a derelict garden area, but the hint got us there in the end. No pencil to write in the log.
Thanks Guzzi Riders for the cache. Its #1799 for us. We found your cache onTuesday 14 November 2023. For me the coordinates are about 10m out on my iPhone! However, the location is in the name anyway so it was a quick, non-confrontational find today.
Might want to consider relocating this one. I was confronted by a local who didnt understand the game and when I tried to explain said that was a pretty stupid game. Someone else came out and said yes there is a cache here but the last person spent a lot of time here but couldnt find it. It was getting a bit confrontational so I retreated to the bus with a quick stop at the toilet.
Got a little confused at first, but then looked at the hint and figured it out quickly! Sadly the Shrek the sheep exhibit was closed today! Talked to a nice lady after finding the cache she explained what was happening and said she hadnt seen many people looking for the cache lately! TFTC! Found with AgentDoubbleduck.
1MinnieMoo and I were in town and decided to grab this cache.Throngs of people will not beat a Fangsoki and 1MinnieMoo in finding the cache. A great little place for a cache and a good listing. TFTC Guzzi Riders
23/9/2023 Find #6592Day 15 of the Fangsoki/1MinnieMoo New Zealand South Island adventure. We were supposed to head from Queenstown to Haast and Franz Josef today however the pass was closed, so we headed up to Wanaka and then across to Christchurch for the night. To break up the drive a little, we stopped at just a couple of caches on the way. We pulled up over the road. Jeepers it was busy here today, cars everywhere. A quick dash across and down the alley to GZ. No need to use the facility to PAF which is good really as wed have been outta luck. Thankfully we found it quicker than Superman. Thanks for the cache Guzzi Riders.
Passed many times Tarras over past time. But this time have to go to the toilet. Take a coffee and check the app and realise a cache is there.
No pen with me, easy to find check the hint.

An excellent cache and an excellent place to stop off on the way back to Queenstown with Cheeky Kiwi tours, after having visited Mount Cook / Aoraki and many other sights along the way.
All good at GZ and a fun location for the hide. Thanks for highlighting it otherwise we would never have found such an unexpected object in this part of Tarass. Cheers

In the spirit of reconciliation we would like to acknowledge the Traditional Custodians of country on which we geocache throughout Australia and their connections to land, sea and community. We (the pants people) pay our respects to their Elders past and present and extend that respect to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples today.
We also acknowledge the traditional custodians of New Zealand / Aoteroa, as we geocache throughout their land while on holiday.

Took the opportunity to stop in at Tarras for a coffee and cache, as well as a look through the Merino shop. Very apt considering this cache. TFTC
Yay! TFTC! Came all the way from Vancouver BC Canada to find this cache! lol Thanks for being part of the adventure!
TFTC. Here a few days ago and, as previous log was a DBF I sent a message off to CO regarding Reno’s and possible hides. Was frustrated with not getting and after a bit (lit) of thought decided to drop in for an ice cream and see if others had found it since my last visit. Bingo. Thoughts paid off big time - walked straight up to it for a . Careful when reaching for the prize, as a small group of wasps have moved in and are keeping a close guard on the cache. Defiantly worth a favourite.
Down in the South Island on a roadie from Northland, with Dodge 1923.... interesting history and wonderful views everywhere. Nice spot for lunch and then a clever cache find. Thanks for the hide.
We felt quite embarrassed when a lady told us us we had entered private property. She said it is forbidden to Go past the red phone booth. The coords would have taken us a bit further than that.
One of my favourite TV shows is Amazing Race. It always amazes me when teams don’t read the clue properly. Well, after 25 mins of looking EveryWhere…I decided to give up and went to write down the name of the cache to record later.
Even then, it was camouflaged so well I couldn’t find it.
The lovely lady in the Wool Shop knows where it is.
LOL. Visiting from Canada.

A little wander up the 'main street'. We quickly spotted something that looked like a probable host. It still took us a minute to locate the cache though. Thanks for placing this one in this tiny little village with its interesting sheep story.
On our way to Queenstown we had a short stopp for a cup of Coffee.
The box was an easy found

My GPS was pointing past the chain fence labelled private property but I can confirm there is no need to go over there. Found after a short search and now I see there is a big hint on the cache page that would have made this much easier if I'd taken the time to read more thoroughly! Very nice hide, blends in very well and my son enjoyed hearing the story of Shrek from the cache description. A shame the museum has closed. TFTC!
Here in opening hours. Walked to the Shrek display or where I believed it to be as I had been there before but I didn’t see it. That building had a closed sign on it unless I missed it completely. Anyway, it was in a very short time of reaching GZ that maybe the owner turned up and ask if I was ok. I said I was looking for a geocache believing the owner would know about it. He said that nothing like that here, in a voice that had no idea what I was talking about and just wanted me back in the main area as I was not meant to be back there.
So that was my experience.

Hi there Guzzi Riders - A dat trip from Wanaka to Cromwell for a light lunch (and back the other way) today. We found this cache at 0343pm after a short search - and the container and log were both in good condition unless noted in the Fieldnotes below. TN, LN, SL. Thanks to Guzzi Riders for this cache - the 6th of 6 finds for the day.
FieldNotes: The cache and log were both found in good condition.

Unable to look for this cache as chain up saying "Private Property" around 4mtrs from cache location
Not to many problems here. Just had some trouble convincing a local that I was indeed ok and didn't need any help. TFTC
Finally, my first find in NZ. Stopped for a toilet break and decided to check if there was a cache nearby, and indeed there was! Found on a wet and rainy day with nigche who spotted it quite quickly. TFTC!
Stopped for a pee break and found it on this rainy Sunday afternoon. "Called" @elinzme for this find. TFTC
The shortest person in our group found this, so if he can find it with his wee t-rex arms surley you can too......
