Answers have been sent to the CO via geocaching message centre. A non-spoiler photo is attached. A lovely spot, visited on our first foray to The Gardens, while exploring some parts of Tassie we have not yet been to. Thanks for bringing us here. The rocks really do have to be seen to be believed, and are spectacular. We checked out the ones in Binalong Bay too, but the ones here and much more impressive we thought. This is a very well thought out earthcache, highlighting a unique feature and some very cool geological elements. Thanks juc_cacher for the reason to explore and the earth science lesson Smile A favourite point awarded. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------In the spirit of reconciliation we would like to acknowledge the Traditional Custodians of country on which we geocache throughout Australia and their long lasting, and ongoing connections to land, sea and community. We (the pants people) pay our respects to Traditional Elders past and present and extend that respect to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples today.

Big thanks to juc_cacher for creating this cache! Your effort brought an extra spark of excitement to our geocaching quest. This discovery was find number 1,118 for us, marking another memorable moment in our adventure. Living and traveling full-time across Australia in our Coaster Bus, we're always on the lookout for caches to uncover. Currently, we're in Tasmania, planning to explore this beautiful island for around 18 months or so. To see more of our travels, feel free to follow our journey HERE...

[9053] Holidays on Tasmania, day 13. Today we had enough time to explore the magnificent bay of fire. We started with a walk from Binalong Bay to the Balancing Boulder and headed after lunch up to The Gardens. On the way back we stopped for more scenic geocaches, the last geocaching visit for today became the grandfather virtual. Finally, we spent some time at the beach before we returned to our cabin at Pelican Point. This earthcache belonged to our finds today. Answers sent via message center. TFTC!

#2749 This is my day 259, and the longest physical cache find streak so far. I want to see how far I go. I am on a family vacation in Australia, and Tasmania road trip is our main highlight. Yesterday I came out here to do a bit of caching but didnt realise that the phone reception would be so iffy or how many muggles would also be visiting this little spot! Today I was up and at em before the first rooster in town had had its first cuppa! Headlights on, taking it easy down the skinny, windy road, watching for native animals heading home after a big night out, I was hoping to catch a colourful sunrise over the orange rocks, but alas, I had to fish my purple brolly out . The skies were grey but the rocks were on fire. With a light shower of rain making the air smell even fresher, I worked towards answering the question while watching the local fishermen head out in their little boats. They look like corks in a bathtub.Answers sent to CO and approval received.TFTC juc_cacherKeep smiling

Goldy and Jimmy are holidaying in Tasmania for a few days. A quick trip away from our regular life to see sights and find caches.I'm aiming to continue my daily streak and fill some Jasmer grid spots. As well as find some challenge caches and as many virtuals as I can.Today we pay our respects to the fallen ANZAC soldiers and all other fallen soldiers around the world. The ultimate sacrifice was made and it is important to remember them.We attended the Remembrance Day Service in Saint Helens to pay our respects. We then made our way to the Bay of Fires for the day, followed by a drive along the east coast to Bicheno.I enjoyed this lesson here. A very well put together EarthCache.I wrote up my answers and I sent them off and a reply was received. Thanks to the effort of the CO for putting this EarthCache together. A favourite point for the nice spot and the lesson. The photo is attached below. (I didn't get my head in the picture though, oops)"They shall grow not old,as we that are left grow old;Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn. At the going down of the sunand in the morningWe will remember them."**Lest we forget.**Thanks juc_cacher for this EarthCache, which brings Goldy's total find count to 3785 on the 11th of November 2023.

Jetstar was having a sale…. in the middle of winter, for a destination further south than I already live. That sounds like a great idea!

So a plan for a 4 night whirlwind tour of the northern part of the state was hatched. I’ve seen lots of this beautiful state, but haven’t found a single cache. With plenty of challenges to tick off, and a long list of targeted caches, this week is the time to turn that around.

It’s the final day for this trip, leaving St Helens for Launceston via more of the coast and then inland through Campbell Town and Ross.

I made it in time to enjoy the sunrise here for a second time. I was the only one here and enjoyed the quiet start to the day.

Answers submitted to the CO.

Thanks juc_cacher for adding this cache to the worldwide collection for us all to enjoy.

We continued today our tour in Tasmania, AUS, and thereby searched, found and logged this interesting Earth-Cache.

The weather was - said in one word – simply best. The good hidden caches and the being on holidays kept us the whole day in a good mood.

The cache had good coordinates, and thus was easy to find. The answers were sent.

Thanks to juc_cacher for the generation of this nice cache Bay of Fires (with the proper agenda), for leading us here and for showing us this funny location as well as the ongoing maintenance of this cache.

PS: Please forgive us the uniform log which is needed due to timing problems - if necessary special actions and happenings are there described where they appeared.

Greetings from Germany together with the hope to meet somewhere like event or wood.

In Tassie for March, cutting a lap and finding a few caches along the way.

A very clear example of a geological process and great Earthcache.

Answers sent in for our group (Sandyofthesea, Probsty and I).

What a year Sandyofthesea and I have had. We kitted out the Prado and took off from Perth, Western Australia at the start of April 2022 to travel more of Australia using geocaching as a guide to see the sights. We started with the Nullabour, Eyre and York Peninsulas, the Riverlands, visited family in Victoria and then back in SA it got cold. Flinders and the Oodnadatta Track was amazing and we finally warmed up in Dalhousie Springs. The Alice beckoned and then a change of plan and we ended up tackling the Tanami Track to the Kimberley and Bungles Bungles. Territory Day in Darwin was unhinged - please try and do it! The Gulf, the coast and the car breaker ‘Old Tele Track’ to the top of Cape York. This is a must but it’s not easy! Eventually made it to Brisbane to get some fixes to the car….. let’s see where we end up.

juc_cacher, I found Bay of Fires today. Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache.

#5315, 2023-03-03 at 15:52,

Nalezeno společně s Radoshordos během měsíčního výletu do Malajsie, Singapuru, Bruneje a Austrálie, kde byla hlavním cílem celého výletu Tasmánie. Singapore se zároveň stává mojí 39. navštívenou zemí a Austrálie mojí 40. navštívenou zemí.
Keš jsem našel během chvilky společně s Radoshordos. Děkuji za přivedení na další zajímavé místo a za další bod do sbírky.
Zdravím z České republiky.

Found it during a one-month trip together with Radoshordos to Malaysia, Singapore, Brunei and Australia, where Tasmania's was main destination of the whole vacation. Singapore is also becoming my 39th visited country and Australia my 40th visited country.
I found the cash in a moment with Radoshordos. Thank you for bringing me to another interesting place and for the next point to the collection. Greetings from the Czech Republic.

We didn't notice the cache until after but it did make us look twice at one of the photos we took while in the area & that there was a cool red line running around the rock!

16-Jan-23
One of our targets for the day, end of the line and an Earthcache to seek the answers to. Enjoyed the visit (though there was a smelly dead 'thing' under the rocks near GZ!). Answers to follow shortly.

Day 5 and our outing from Launceston had us heading over to the aptly named Bay Of Fires. There were a couple of sets of roadworks which caught us out and we detoured via Deedle Dim Road. Called in to a closed trout fishing river hoping to spot a trout and saw a second (for this trip) platypus so that was a good start to the day. More great stuff seen, thanks Tasmania.

We had a weeks holiday booked in Tasmania as a way of celebrating mrs capperz's 60th birthday. What can I say but WOW. What an awesome state and was everything we'd seen and heard about this gem of a place. My main PQ had only Earthcaches and Virtuals and aside from an old cache for my missing month stats I only turned the GPS on when we were stopping somewhere anyway, what a great way to tour a place. Managed one complete set of Ad Labs at the airport, and started another 6 adventures with no intention to complete. Over 50 'real' caches were completed and left behind a couple of trackables to continue their journeys.
I will upload the associated pictures and answers over the next few days or so, need to start to make a dent in my finds backlog.
Oh, and thanks to all COs for their hides, much appreciated for this New Zealander.

Found this Earthcache while on holidays traveling around Tasmania.
Over the last couple of days we've been exploring the east coast.
Upon arrival the seas were looking rather rough and water spray was splashing us a little at GZ. The rocks and colours all around here and in the feature of the earthcache were amazing. Nature sure puts on a display.
We wandered around and examined/ studied the area so we could answer the questions which have been sent to the CO.
Overall, this was a beautiful spot to visit and we’re giving it a favorite point hoping it encourages other to also do the same.

We have recreated a drive we were supposed to do in 2011 but there was so much rain the roads flooded and we spent a week in a flooded Launceston. Today, happily no flooded roads and we have finally seen the Bay of Fires coastline…..which is magnificent! We came here lured by an earthcache and a trad as well as the views but while we had other parts of the coastline totally to ourselves it was like downtown Hobart here…people stomping all over the rocks taking selfies as close to the edge as possible….we didn’t hang around too long. I can’t watch people taking stupid risks! Thanks for the earthcache juc_cacher.

20-Mar-22
On a road trip from Hobart to Stanley with my mum over 2 weeks. We visited a number of towns and we were mainly targeting Virtuals and Earthcaches due to the amazing locations they take one to. We did pick up the random traditional, multi, puzzle, wherigo and even a couple letterbox caches whilst travelling.

Today its St Helens to Bridport via Gldstone and South Mount Cameron. Once again we followed some of the interesting geocaches like the Earthcaches and Virtuals to fulfil our day and give us interesting places to visit. The Lil Blue Lake was certainly a surprise for us as we were not expecting such intense colour. Loved this Earthcache, this location is just amazing! Emailed the CO the required information and recieved a nice quick response to log away.

Thanks for placing and mainting this Earthcache juc_cacher Big Grin

Thanks for this cache. I don’t know a lot about geology and often I’m bored by the level of detail in earthcaches. But I found this explanation of the rock formations fascinating. A beautiful day spent with family in this pristine piece of the world. I just hope humans continue to protect it and consider things like not walking across areas where shorebirds are breeding - cause even us geocachers leave geotrails sometimes Smile - apparently Hooded Plovers, Fairy Terns, Pied Oystercatchers, Red-Capped Plovers and Little Terns all breed here.

How white is this sand? And the contrast with the rock, blue sky (when the clouds clear out) and the fiery lichen makes this spot unforgettable. So worth the short detour from St Helens and well deserving of a FP for the earthcache placement. Cheers to juc_cacher for highlighting this spot.

Down in the Apple Isle with JACS and TeamARF for a week or so to hunt some caches and traipse about having adventures. With inclement weather approaching we utilised today to grab some along dirt roads. Managed to find a few of differing varieties! A fun day despite the rainy patches! Fab puzzles and wonderful countryside. Awesome caches all round! We are thoroughly enjoying this adventure and grabbing some very well maintained oldies Tftc

I’ve always wanted to visit Bay of Fires and seeing as were close it made sense to just pop up a bit further and check out this Earthcache. After marvelling at natures show we got to the business end of the visit and set about discussing and answering the questions.

22-Oct-21
A rare day off, thanks to working show day, so I decided to attack certain earth caches around the north east of Tasmania. My target for the moment is to get to 100 earth caches.

What a lovely place. Even the bad weather with the threat of rain could not detract from the great view. The waves were certainly crashing and the leaded sky made it feel like the edge of the world.

16-Oct-21
This is our second day in the St Helens area. The weather is a little overcast and cool to start with and the ground is still very wet from all the recent rains. Our aim today is to explore the area as much as possible this being our first visit here and also to collect as many geocaches along the way as practical.

We made our way to The Gardens to collect our 16th and 17th caches for the day. What a great area. We explored the rocks and took heaps of photos. It is amazing how different the colours look when the sun comes out. A very well defined track to walk around and lots of birds darting around and a bonus lone pelican sat on a rock, just close enough to get a good view, but far enough away for it to feel safe.

A very interesting Earth Cache it reminded us of some rock formations on Flinders Island. Answers sent to CO . TFTEC

In perfect summer weather, we visited one of the most remarkable places on earth.
With the sand so white, the rocks so red and the ocean so blue, this place would get our favourite point even if there was no cache here at all. Razz
There was, so I had a closer look around and noted the answers for a few questions while I was admiring everything else. Cool

A bucket list location ticked off and an EC - great location.
Thank you juc _cacher, we found your cache on day #13 of our Lap year trip.
Selling up our hobby farm in South Gippsland and putting everything in storage we are now living on the road full time in our caravan and ‘doing a lap’.
Sorry for the generic log, time, data and reception are all factors in the decision to use a copy and paste log, we will always endeavour to leave a photo or two with each log and always leave a favourite point and unique comment(S) where applicable for the truly outstanding caches.
Earth, Virtual, letterbox handmade and Gadget caches are always at the top of the list for us to find.
Thank you for being one of the CO’s who supplied us with a cache to find today.
