I certainly made an assumption on where this one would be hiding and despite the checker, began to doubt the signs my phone GPS was giving. Logic won out though and I soon found the cache and signed the logbook.

I saw the sign, and it opened up my mind.... another quick stop on the way to our digs.
This trip was sort of in place of a trip to a Mega that got canceled due to accommodation problems, I was quite happy when Goose said do you fancy to caching break in the Northern Territory as this would be the last State or Territory for me in Australia.
Our plan was to fly into Darwin on the Friday night have a couple days in the area then start heading South stopping overnight whenever we needed to, our next goal was the drive to the geographic centre of Australia at Lambert Centre and then head back to Alice to fly home ten days later.
We both had a great trip finding some important old caches, large ones and the odd clever one too, we found Ammo Cans all over the place which was nice as i think we have found most of the ones at home in Tassie.
Thanks for the cache.

Aaaand the loop is complete. I know a few deaf geocaches so this wasn't to hard to solve. A quick find at GZ.
Thanks Alicecaching
Our Northern Territory journey began in Darwin around 3am after a very delayed flight. We drove as far north as Fresh Water Camp (northeast of Darwin), followed by a loop to Liberated Cox (out to the west) and Litchfield National Park returning to Darwin. We then headed south with overnight stops at Katherine, Daly Waters and Devils Marbles before reaching our southernmost accommodation at Erldunda. From here we did a day trip to Lamberts Gravitational Centre on onward past Finke. Our last couple of days were in Alice Springs with a side trip via Hermannsburg and Glen Helen, all up covering just under 3800km. My thanks to all the COs with hides throughout the territory for helping make our trip so enjoyable.

Together with my favorite geocacher Milonguera we traveled to Australia We went to Melbourne via Singapore and from there we explore the south, the center and the east coast.
We walked around Melbourne and had a nice meet & greet event. Than we visited Philip Island with the pinguins and the Great Ocean Road. We fed and petted kangaroos visited the koalas and continued north via Coober Pedy to Alice Springs. We hiked around the impressive Uluru and through the beautiful Kata Tjuta and breathtaking Kings Canyon. The gorges of the Macdonell-Ranges are nice to. Than we traveled north.
Weiter gings Richtung Norden.
**Thanks for the cache!
Thanks for showing the location and for hiding the cache. You should come to Berlin in Germany to find a lot of interesting geocaches, visit lost places in the surrounding Brandenburg and meet nice people at many events.
I wish you a lot of fun and great adventures while searching for the next geocache!**
Ich bedanke mich bei Alicecaching für den Cache, das Zeigen dieses Ortes, das Legen und Pflegen der Dose und den Spaß beim Finden! Thanks for the cache!

Found this one on our circuit drive from Alice to Alice via all the waterhole and the crater.
Found it. Visited this caches in a sunday evening and night with a car in a short trip to australia. I'VE FORGOTTEN A PEN TO SIGN THE LOGS . Greetings from Brasov, Romania
Sir_spectre and I went on a long overdue holiday to the Northern Territory. We had some great experiences and saw some amazing natural wonders. Not all went to plan - covid closures, flood effected roads, renovations, hot weather, some car troubles and not forgetting the huge jump in fuel costs
Any caches that needed repairs were fixed and numeous logs were replaced or added too.
Thanks to Alicecaching from mogni

we came from adelaide via ayers rock. We have seen many a sign by now. we also found this cache. quick find.
Mogni and myself went to the Northern Territory for a 10 day holiday. We drove 5478 km's in those 10 days. The plan was to go up the Sturt highway and then go via Ayers Rock, King's Canyon and then through to Alice Springs stopping at the gorges/chasm/gaps along the way. As you can expect nothing goes to plan. Day 1 Adelaide to Cooper Pedy, made it just before the Roxby Downs turn off and blow the side wall on the tire of the 4x4, 193 km detour just to get a tire and even then it was the second tire place that had the tire the correct size. We had camels come in to the campsite in Erldunda Roadhouse, they even left hoof prints 1/2 a foot from the tent, at King's Canyon we had dingo's come through the camp ground both nights we where there and at Alice springs we had a mouse move in under the tent in their campground. Some of the aboriginal towns we passed where in lock down because of covid 19 so no going in to get fuel there, that changed some plans. The floods where way worse up in Northern Territory than i realized. Some creeks/rivers i could see the debris over 2 meters from the river bed and down one 4x4 track it washed the road away completely, the hole was 3/4 the length of the 4x4 and over 6 foot deep. The temp was 33 to 36 for 9 of the 10 days and finally cooled down for the drive home. We got 7 different caches types in the N.T. plus every different cache size. It was a good trip but not the one we planned. To many of the roads in the N.T. where damaged and not repaired ( still closed ) so that cancelled plan A but that's just a excuse to come back isn't it. Come back and see what you missed last time when the roads are fixed. We came with 19 regular " geocaching size " containers and a milk crate of small containers by day 7 all the regulars where used as replaced caches and by day 8 the smalls where gone. It was the UV rays a lot more than the floods that killed the caches and almost all the log books where saved, the micro containers seemed to have constantly full log sheets so they where replaced too.

I solved this puzzle a couple of days ago and it was one of the caches I decided to grab on the way from Alice Springs to Ellery Waterhole. I am loving caching in the NT.
Found on a quick caching run north. Adelaide to Alice Springs and back in a week.

Found during a fun day out with JJ52 where we tackled the Larapinta loop and cached along the way. Both of us kept commenting on the variety of landscapes and vegetation seen during the drive.

A day out with sushilord had been organised heading for Hermannsburg and doing the loop calling in to St Helens and picking up as many caches as we could along the way. We had both solved the puzzle caches along this route and they were targeted as we went past. [^]
It was a near perfect caching day, with 27 caches found, lots of amazing scenery, history and geology with numerous photos taken where we stopped. This was the highlight of my visit to Alice Springs.
One thing I will remember about caching in Alice Springs is....rocks, rocks and more rocks.
Puzzle had been solved at home in readiness for this trip and it was a quick find at GZ.

We traveled through Northern Territory for four weeks. We started the journey in Alice Springs and drove to Uluru, Kata Tjuta and then to Kings Canyon, Rebank Gorge, Glen Helen Gorge, Ormiston Gorge and further on to the north. On the way we found some caches. This was one of them.

Day 3 of our *Red Centre Adventure*... and today we went west from Alice. After a stop at Standley Chasm and lunch at Ormiston Gorge, we continued a little further on to Glen Helen Gorge. By then it was getting late and time to head back to Alice... but we did have enough time to stop off to look for this cache... one of a number of Puzzles I solved before leaving home but as yet, none of them looked for until now!
Thanks **Alicecaching** for the mental exercise... and the cache.

After spending four days travelling up on my own from Adelaide, I met up with FeatherWaite in Alice Springs for a few days of travelling around caching
We visited various places in the West Macdonnells, including Hugh Gorge, then went out to Kings Canyon, up the Finke Gorge track to Hermannsburg, into Palm Valley, then back to Adelaide, taking a week in all. We saw, and camped in some fantastic places, although the late September weather was a little warm!
Found as we headed back to Alice Springs.

On our vacation this year, we did a great trip as GER-17 to Australia.
GER-17 are DieFraudiemitmuss, Lundi263, de Eifelaner and murri24.
We started the tour in Melbourne where we spend a few days sightseeing and caching, including some trips out of the City to the Grampians an to the Great Ocean Road.
Nice place to be and to see.
From Melbourne we went to Alice Springs including Ayrs Rock, where we saw some nice sunsets and other great stone formations and spots.
Back in Melbourne we started by car to go to Sydney along the coast with zig zags into the blue mountains and Canberra.
Finally we arrived in Sydney and spend here the last day of our holidays with caching and sightseeing.
During this trip we found this box.

DieFraudiemitmuss, Lundi263, Murri24 and I made this year a very great tour together. Our first target is Melbourne. So we started early in the morning to visit the city and to make a few geocaches. We found very nice locations and interesting spots. One day we rent a car. Very early in the morning we drive from Melbourne City over Geelong to the Great Ocean Road. Along this road we found so much interesting spots, we see a great landscape, and had have not enough time for sightseeing. The weather was fine but a little bit windy. This day was very long and hard, but wonderful.
After that we visit the Grampians. A little bit rain, a little bit windy and a little bit sunny day, we had fasten all weathers. We visit waterfalls, canyons, sandstone fomations and any Look Outs. Puhhh, what a great landscape.

We spent the night at Erldunda and had plenty of time to make it to Alice before nightfall so we took a leisurely drive through the Owens springs reserve picking up caches as we went and then along the highway to Alice itself.
We had solved this one before coming to The Red Centre Event but for one reason or another we didn't get out here to locate the cache so this time it was on our must do list. We pulled up off the road and waited for a couple of motor bikes to pass but unfortunately they stopped about twenty meters or so behind us so we sat waiting for them to leave. They looked at us for a little while, then lined up and then started what looked like a race back to Alice as they both just disappeared around the corner. Now with the coast clear we headed across to gz for a nice quick find and the log book now contains our name.
Thanks again Alicecaching for the puzzle and the cache.

We had been too busy to solve puzzles before this trip, but Mrs Winglen had the caching bug and wanted more things to find as we journeyed west, so she got stuck into the puzzles before breakfast and managed to work solutions for about five. Thanks for the fun Alicecaching.
Found by Mary & David at 1445. The engineer enjoyed this puzzle too. How appropriate to be reading sll about Auslan. We've just been to an Event where Chinese Whispers was played by signing. Tremendous fun. Mary wants to learn more. Our thanks to Alicecaching.

After our epic two days of walking and finding the A series, Vennfamily, RoddyC, Rothy6 and I decided to take the drive out to Hermannsberg today and pick up the caches along Larapinta Drive.
I had solved most of the puzzles and just needed a nudge on the others I hadn't quite got out. This was an easy solve and an easy find.
Logbook signed, cache returned to its hide.

This puzzle was published around the time we were leaving for the Red Centre Experience and it wasn't till after we arrived that we noticed lots of new caches. While staying at Blatherskite Park we worked on some puzzles, this was one. No problems with the puzzle or the cache but it sure wasn't where we expected when we arrived. TFTC Alicecaching.

On Day Four of the epic Hevic and CJ-Curry mission to Alice Springs, the temporary team known as the **TTSS** (a.k.a. the **Trans-Tasman Swiss Squad** comprised of zuse7, granville86a, dghoffy, and both Hevic and myself) decided to grab some caches both close to home and a little further out. We ended up with not a single DNF and we ended up finding all the caches in good nick. Thanks Squad!
We were out on the road when the puzzle came up on our radar. Having saved this cache on my device but not the pictures, we couldn't do the puzzle on the fly but we made a guess about where it was likely to be - lo and behold, we found it. I am confident that the puzzle would have been an easy one for me, however. Cheers!

We had fun with caching few weeks here in Australia ( South Australia and Northern Territory ). Lots of geocaches and many sort of them too. We saw awesome places, weather was good all the time and people were friendly and polite. Caches were pretty similar like in our home country. Of course there were some exeptions. Nice and huge country!

Found with dghoffy, Hevic, C.J.Curry, Zuse7 as part of the temporary caching team T.T.S.S.(Trans Tasman Swiss Squad) for the Red Centre Event. The cache was found more by luck than skill in solving. spotted a likely hiding spot and voila! the cache was located.
We had most of the new puzzles solved before leaving home, and with a bit of help from a few friends once here, the remainder now are added to the solved puzzle list. So today it is a trip out to Hermannsburg to collect them on the way out, then, as time permits, the other traditional caches on the way back. This an suited Venn Family, Patrol14 and Rothy6, so in two cars we set out for a drive along Larapinta Drive.
It's nice to have friends who sign! [:o)] The cache has also been "sign-ed".
Log signed & replaced again. Found at 10.15am on 16th April 2017. TFTC. Alicecaching

Team ICE on a two week geocaching trip in Australia. Our main target was the Red Centre Experience at Alice Springs but of course we did some caching in other places too. We drove from Adelaide to Alice Springs and then back. We saw lots of interesting and beutiful places like opal mines at Coober Pedy, Ayers Rock and Kata Tjuta. Our rental travelled almost 6500km on gravel and tarmac roads. The weather was great, only on last day we got some rain.
All the caches logged as Team Ice, T-ice or Tice with kapeka, laalaa and Hiltsu. We had a great trip!
We spent three days caching around Alice Springs. This is so different area than bushy flat desert around it. Lots of beautiful places to see. Truly Red Centre Experience for us.

Find #2025
I had all the new puzzles solved before we got here, with a bit of help from joojoo57 on a couple, and planned on taking a trip out to Hermannsburg to collect the bulk of them today. It turned out that RoddyC had the same plan so the whole geofamily headed out in convoy with RoddyC, Patrol14 and Rothy6 in two cars for a drive in the country.
Miss 8 was super keen today and took over GPSr duties and eagerly approached each cache with a pocketful of swaps but, unfortunately, none of these puzzles had swaps for kids despite having room for them.
We collected the puzzles and arrived in Hermannsburg in quick time and then began the trip back, this time collecting traditionals.

This was our last one for the day on our way back from checking out Hugh Gorge, and as it was presolved before we left home, all that was left was to pick it up.
So we pulled the whole show up and took the very short stroll to GZ and made the quick find and sign...then had a nice old chuckle at the shopping trolley just sitting way out here, who pushes a trolley all the way out here and then just gives up and leaves it?
