On the way to Alice Springs we found this great series of caches. Unfortunately we were not able to do all of them, because we needed to get past Alice Springs this day, but here and there we stopped.
Fortunately most of containers could be found quickly.
Thanks very much for maintaining this series. We need to come back some time to do the rest Wink

We travelled 8,500km through 5 states for a 60th birthday party over approx. 6 weeks. We endured many days over 35C and then saw a lot of water in the eastern states. We enjoyed travelling east with family and then they travelled back to Alice and we made our way home to SA, trying to dodge the rain and wet weather.
Caching is a great way to see the many wonderful sights and learn about the places we are travelling through.
Thank you to those who take the time to hide caches

Continuing our trip from Melbourne to Darwin and back, we are now on our way back home and spending a few days at Alice Springs to see the things we missed on the way up.

Sydney to Alice Springs Road Trip
Day Seven: Kulgera to Alice Springs, and then a flight home. It’s warm!!!

After finding “Happy In Alice”, I’m now finding a few more of the NOAS series that I started on my last visit. Nice to see a few larges out there. Some of these caches appear to be showing the effects of the central Australian sun, others look like they have been replaced.

Thanks to all involved here

Found during a trip from Adelaide to the northern tip of Australia and back. Traveling up solo along the Strzelecki Track to Innamincka, then through central Queensland to Quilpie, Blackall, Barcaldine, Hughendon and Ravenshoe to Cairns. In Cairns I met up with e.gregory1 and a non-cacher friend and spent three weeks on Cape York Peninsula before making our way back to Cairns and Mareeba. From there I headed on my own back home via Normanton and Karumba, Cloncurry, Mount Isa, Tennant Creek and back down the Stuart Highway through Alice Springs to Adelaide. All in all I spent six weeks on the road, visited many out of the way locations, enjoying the scenery and finding caches along the way. Thanks for the cache Alicecaching!

We were heading into town for a quick shop when the DPF burn started, so we continued along the Stuart unti l it finished so we cached on the way back, picking up a few

An interesting series of caches. We found them all. The ongoing experiment of tropical sun versus sistema is proving that plastic will fail before the sun goes nova. Where necessary we replaced containers that were too damaged to continue. Some interesting wildlife in some of the caches. Each cache was found in the last place we looked, which as usual was not the first place we looked. Thanks for placing a fun cache guys. We do love your work. We signed the logbook. Of course we did that is way we play this game. Cache in pretty good condition for the cache age.

Easter 2020 was supposed to see South Australia Geocaching hosting the next Easter big MEGA event, GeoVenture 2020 at Millicent. GC82DAN. Due to COVID restrictions the event is now postponed to early October 2021. Check out the event page and our website for new details. We would love to see you at this four day event. Mega event sponsored by Wattle Range Council, Geocaching.com and many other supporters. Lots of caches to find with two classic geo art trails including the famous animated bottle and glass.

This particular geocache was found using one of the following GPS enabled devices, Garmin GPSr, Montana 680t, Oregon 650 or Dakota 20 and a Samsung S8. Waypoints and paperless geocaching were downloaded via GSAK 9. Log prepared, checked and submitted using GSAK publish logs...

Warning, this hobby can be addictive. It can lead to exercise, meeting new people and finding interesting places you might not have known existed otherwise. Beware: you may have fun.

Found on a quick caching run north. Adelaide to Alice Springs and back in a week.

A target of this trip was the NOAS series. All caches were found but some are in need of maintenance as the weather has done them no favours. We replaced where we could .

A nice series but the flies and heat didn't help.

We have travelled from A (our home in SW of WA) to B via the Savannah Way with a two week unexpected detainment in Mackay which has set us back, now sadly travelling back to A via the Outback Way from Winton to Laverton.
We have extra time in Alice than we planned so some extra caching is now happening. Now that I have my 4000th find it's time for some relaxing caching which is lucky as I got Mr dimor to come back up the road for these two as I forgot them, oops

Driven over from perth to visit Alice Springs. Day 2 of being here we decided to do the NOAS series and pick up a few puzzle caches and traditionals that were along the way. Unfortunately the first 3 caches in the NOAS series have been burnt from a bushfire and all that remains is wire hanging from the tree or marbles on the ground that were in the containers. Further along the series they have cleared the side of the road and a couple of caches were missing which we replaced and there is a few caches only just hanging on by a thread as they have cleared right up to the tree. Hope the CO doesn't mind we logged the first 3 caches as a find as we do have photos to prove we were there. Thanks to all the CO,S for placing these caches for us and others to find.

As we finish up our time in Alice Springs and start heading north to Darwin, we knew we had one more trail and some random caches we wanted to get on our way out of town. So we set off early with hopes high of achieving our biggest day of 60+ (massive we know) Glad to have a beautiful day to stop and start along the highway. Thanks to all who placed the caches along the highway, special thanks to Alicecaching for the NOAS trail.

By Camel #3,
I had settled into the relaxed caching style of the NOAS trail Razz
After 10am now so the early morning traffic peak was past and I could enjoy slowly cruising between caches without getting in the way of the speeding traffic [^]

This caching bauble was quickly spotted at the end of a well worn geotrail Smile

An early start from Alice Springs had us ready and rearing to go at 7:40 am to commence our morning of caching. N.O.A.S. 50 was our starting point and we headed south. We wanted to smash our former daily record (which had only recently been established as part of the Red Centre Experience over Easter). We knew we were in with a good chance. Just the N.O.A.S. series would have blown the numbers skywards, and yet we grabbed a few of the older caches as well. Thank you to all of the cache owners for your amazing efforts.

We spent Easter at the Red Centre Experience Event in Alice Springs then hit the road north toward Tennant Creek before turning east on our geocaching adventure to Cape York.

We found many caches along the way in the NOAS trail so rather than log each individually I have made a template which I wouldnt normally do. I do hope this is OK with the owners.

thanks for all of the caches.

Geocaching has taken me on many adventures over the years all over Australia and overseas. It has also introduced me to a brilliant and diverse group of people, many of whom are now close friends.

Today I was lucky enough to be out and about so I targeted this cache.

Sorry for the late log, but thanks for adding to the adventure!

Thanks Alicecaching for placing this cache.

Planned a big jaunt for the last full day of the red centre event. Out north and east of Alice. Found with Happy Feet 1. Signed GG & HF1. TFTC.

A big day for us to mark the final full day of the Red Centre Experience Event in Alice Springs. Our aim was to set out for Gemtree and pick up a couple of caches along the way but the geocaching equivalent of white line fever set in and we were not going to be satisfied until we had cleaned up the NOAS power trail as well!

This is a generic log for all of our finds today so I am going to make a recommendation in all logs to GO TO GEMTREE! THEY HAVE THE BEST MEAT PIES I HAVE EVER TASTED! Its worth the drive for the taste test!

Thankyou to all the cache owners for placing the caches we found today.

16-Apr-17
Found on our Red Centre Experience. We didn' do the full trail today, however we decided to do the first five. Each cache was very easy find - most of them had a fantastic and hilarious cacher trail towards them, which made it much easier to navigate to. Those that were hanging in trees were very well done and very easy to access - absolutely love the idea! TNLNSL. TFTC Alicecaching!

Greatings from New Zealand, in Alice attending the rather large event and teamed up with CJ-Curry, Hevic, zuse7, granvillle86a and dghoff. For most of the caches we found today we signed as TTSS (Trans Tasman Swiss Squad). Apologies for the mainly generic logs.

Nice quick find, TFTC

On Day Three of the epic adventure Hevic and I had throughout Alice Springs, we teamed up with a handful of other cachers to take on the Stuart Highway north of the town. We signed the majority of our logs as **TTSS** - the **Trans-Tasman Swiss Squad** comprising myself, Hevic, yorkshirekiwi83, zuse7, granville86a, and dghoffy. I'm glad to say that we did not have a single DNF and made it all the way to the end. zuse7, granville86a and I even had races to most of the caches, and I think granville came out more-or-less on top. Thanks Squad!

Thanks to Alicecaching for placing these caches - all the finds were fairly straightforward, none needed any maintenance, and all were a delight to find. Cheers!

Found it with TICE [Hiltsu, J&T, kapeka & laalaa]

We had fun with caching few weeks here in Australia ( South Australia and Northern Territory ). Lots of geocaches and many sort of them too. We saw awesome places, weather was good all the time and people were friendly and polite. Caches were pretty similar like in our home country. Of course there were some exeptions. Nice and huge country!

Greetings from Finland!

Day 3 of our Alice Adventure, and what a day it was! We joined up with yorkshirekiwi83, zuse7, granville86a, and dghoffy and began signing as the TTSS to save a bit of time. As I was driving, i had very little luck at group FTF, when you're in charge of the vehicle you can't throw your seatbelt off and jump out as readily as the passengers can!

Thanks to Alice Caching for this great series, it was a fantastic day out, along road we wouldnt have driven if not for the caches, thank you for all the effort you put in

Our Spring Geocaching trip go this year to Australia...yes you read right, in Finland is spring now.
We visit in Australia (Adelaide, Murray Bridge, Port Augusta, Whyalla, Coober Pedy, Uluru, Alice Springs, Port Vincent and other place which are on the way those places) on April 05.-20.

We see many beautiful place where we visit and enjoy every cache what we found, so humble thanks every cache owner that you hiding this cache!

We (kapeka, laalaa, J&T. and Hiltsu) use common nickname Team ICE, T-ICE or TICE that we saves space in the logbook.

Thanks For To Cache!
Greetings from Finland
