Touring Australia with my family. Which includes BeesKnees34, SOB_4M, AlexBN16 and 1MitchG6. We have been enjoying the beautiful landscape and visiting some awesome locations.

Stopping along the way to grab some cool caches. We targeted high favourite, old caches, different cache types and some other caches along our way.

Together with my favorite geocacher Milonguera we traveled to Australia We went to Melbourne via Singapore and from there we explore the south, the center and the east coast.
We walked around Melbourne and had a nice meet & greet event. Than we visited Philip Island with the pinguins and the Great Ocean Road. We fed and petted kangaroos visited the koalas and continued north via Coober Pedy to Alice Springs. We hiked around the impressive Uluru and through the beautiful Kata Tjuta and breathtaking Kings Canyon. The gorges of the Macdonell-Ranges are nice to. We traveled north and than east to Townsville and Magnetic Island.

Zusammen mit meiner Lieblingsgeocacherin Milonguera reise ich nach Australien. Über Singapur flogen wir nach Melbourne und von dort wollen wir mit dem Camper den Süden, das rote Zentrum und die Ostküste erkunden. Wir liefen durch Melbourne und trafen nette Menschen bei unserem Event, wir besuchten Philip Island mit den Pinguinen und die Great Ocean Road mit den 12 Aposteln.
Wir fuhren nach Adelaide, besuchten die Koalas und weiter gings Richtung Norden über Coober Pedy bis nach Alice Springs. Wir wanderten um den eindrucksvollen Uluru, durch die wunderschönen Kata Tjuta und den atemberaubenden Kings Canyon. Auch die Schluchten der Macdonell-Ranges sind sehr schön. Weiter gings Richtung Norden und dann nach Osten Richtung Townsville und auf Magnetic Island.

Ohne tolle Owner wie Euch wäre das Spiel nicht möglich. Ich freue mich, wenn Ihr auch meine Caches in Berlin-Britz besucht. Neben der Hufeisensiedlung, die zum Kulturwelterbe der Unesco gehört, gibt es viele alte Bunker zu entdecken und die Baustelle der Autobahn A100 ist auch immer wieder interessant. Von der neuen Minna-Todenhagen-Brücke zwischen Baumschulenweg und Oberschöneweide hat man einen schönen Blick auf die Spree und kann nebenbei ein paar Dosen finden.
An Neumond lade ich zum Sternegucken auf die Berliner Berggipfel oder an astronomische Orte ein. In der dunkelsten Nacht zwischen den Vollmonden genießen wir den Blick auf die blinkenden Sterne und die funkelnde Stadt Berlin.

Day 7 of the annual Crooked Clan North Queensland Christmas Catch Up with my in laws and this morning, whilst the Crooked clan slept, I figured I would get some exercise climbing the hills at either end of Picnic Bay and then grab a few caches as time permitted, including this one.

It was nice and cool under the tree cover. Sufficiently cool to entice me to walk a walk down the nearby trail. This cache was a nice quick park and grab found in a logical spot. Many thanks C&M+B&B.

Travelling back home from Mt Garnet from a family event and we decided to detour over to Magnetic Island as we still had ferry tickets we'd had to postpone last year.
Went for a walk this morning to find a few caches, and after 2 DNFs, we were very happy to find this one. The mozzies nearly carried us away though! TFTC!

Found it with pippahiccup. On island for s couple of quiet days, on way home from Mt Garnet.

We had loved our last trip across to this beautiful island just after the mega, but since we had so little time we were limited in our land Geocaching activities.
Today we are back with our car, walking shoes and poles and are having great fun exploring the trails.

Day 16 of a 3 week holiday driving from Canberra to Townsville and back to attend the Mega. Today my focus was completing the book series, and then traveling across to Magnetic Island. After disembarking, I drove around to Horseshoe Bay to grab a few finds before dark. Cache soon found. TFTC.

With great excitement we headed to Townville for the for the first FNQ Mega - we were very curious to see how much it had changed since we lived there pre-caching.

Today we headed over to Maggie with Pprass, the primary goal was to do the AdLab and have a look about. It was supposed to rain but it hardly bothered us at all.

Found, signed and replaced

Over on Maggie for a few days and the weather isn’t looking great so we decided to get up early and if it wasn’t raining then we would do the fort walk! Wow, we thoroughly enjoyed the walk. We started in much cooler conditions but knew that the rain could come at any stage, just hoping it would stay away until after our walk! Unfortunately no such luck! It started the drizzle on our return, then it pelted down and we returned extremely wet but cool!

Went back to our accommodation and got changed and sat there waiting for the rain to stop, which it eventually did! Desperate for a coffee we decided to head for Horseshoe Bay.

Good coords had us with the cache in our hands in no time!!

As part of the CacheQLD committee I am here working, caching, catching up with friends and generally having a fab time. Some awesome puzzles up this way and some tricky and adventurous hides! Awesome experience! Today was island day so myself chamad and Willis007 headed over , grabbed our open air jalopy and spent a brilliant day chasing adventures. Thanks to all the COs for the caches!

What an absolutely fantastic day of caching. A day of caching which included Willis007 and Gcoven and where we had organised a day trip to Magnetic Island, (to see where they make all the magnets). I had organised a topless ride for the day to add to the fun, it was then named the “JALOPY”, however, we got more than we bargained for there. The Jalopy was a Suzuki heap, your typical was a typical island car of the 70’s, which is probably when it had its last service and road worthy check… the fun in that thing alone today was priceless.
The area around the island was just fantastic and the walks brilliant. We managed to see a couple of Koala’s sleeping in a tree near a walkway. Some great birdlife and some stunning beaches.

The caches were a lot of fun and we managed to grab the important ones for us and a few others as we passed by. Thank you to the CO’s for the hides and the continuing maintenance of the caches. We signed all logs and replaced as we found them and had a fantastic day.

Gcoven, chamad and myself had always said we would do a tour of Magnetic Island while we were here for the MEGA. Today was the day!
After attending Bugs Birthday Bash we boarded the ferry and headed towards a very beautiful Island, it showed us all it had to offer today - black cockatoos, koalas, stunning views, amazing monoliths and some beautiful trees.
Making our way around the island, this was our next stop. No problems finding this cache.

We followed a trail over the hill from the last cache in the company of M from the Rustys. A quick find by M, and then a short walk back with her to her hotel and our car. Looking forward to a cooling swim in the pool! TFTC

Continuing on from the previous cache with squalid, we headed this way to collect this final cache before heading home and dissolving into the pool. Yesterday, a council worker was watering the plants here at GZ, so I was unable to search. Today, it was a quick find in a nice little nook. Thanks once again to squalid for the company. It always feels much less dodgy when in a group. Lovely to put faces and names to your caching name.

Team coongoola have sided with Nana and Wazza9 for the Magnetic Island caches. What a magnificent place to visit.

Great day on the Island today with “The Cuffs” cruising around on our scooters finding some easy caches

Quick find on our way to horseshoe, found quickly by the 7yo. Kids were keep an eye out for the alleged crocodile that had been spotted in the nearby estuary a week ago, nothing sighted however.

Cache is back in play. Log was too wet to salvage, so I've replaced it.

A nice quick find this morning on a walk over to Balding Bay. As mentioned, log roll very wet, so I have taken cache and log to my unit where hopefully the aircon can dry it all out. I will replace in the morning.

Found on 10/07 with Just_Jess! on our first day on MI. As others have said the log is soaked so we took a quick snap then headed off. Great place to start, TFTC.
