While another container is on the way I have now, of course, found the spare.
GZ is a bit outside my CoVid "exercise route", but hopefully I will replace it ready for lockdown to end.
Then, let the scramble for unloved days commence.

Sigh. Still no movement from Council. Now I need to find my replacement container...
Looks like no more work, so GZ will be unavailable indefinitely.
I’ll look to replace close by soon.
I’ll look to replace close by soon.
And they've opened the path! Just not the area around GZ. Sigh.
If they don't open it shortly I'll have to revert to plan 2 and replace a short distance away.

Still closed.
The path looks done, but other work not so sure.
Still watching.

Wow! The path is actually being done.
Not sure yet if concrete or gravel, but we have progress here.

GZ and the section of the Ponds Walk now properly cordoned off for work to commence.
Stay tuned!

Progress?
We'll see.
There's a new sign stating work will start on 19 October and should be finished by 18 December 2020.
I'll keep an eye on it.

Well, the sign has been removed- by a vandal who has thrown it in the creek.
More's the point caching wise, work is still yet to start.
Still keeping an eye on it.

And they're still taking their time!
Still awaiting work to start let alone finish.

And just as I'm ready to replace in a new spot Council **FINALLY** start moving here.
According to the new sign, GZ should be available again in 2 months or so.
So I'll keep a watch out.

Well, the rain has made the overgrown GZ even more overgrown. Still no movement here re access.
I've been looking at a spot only 10 metres from GZ. If I change the method of hanging I think I can make it work.

Good news is I finally found my box of geocaching bits and bobs - ie caches.
Bad news... still no change at GZ.
Bad news... still no change at GZ.
Something is SUPPOSED to be happening here. Just no timeline.
Still looking for an alternate spot just in case.
Still looking for an alternate spot just in case.
Checked GZ to find no change. It's still roped off. More worryingly the barrier erected to keep people out is getting overgrown.
Also checked out some alternate spots nearby, but not happy with any of them yet. I'll keep looking.

Back home.
No change to the area - except the grass is even longer.
Looks like I'll have to move GZ slightly. Stay tuned!

Since I’m overseas I can’t make a check this month.
Will be back in time to post the next update.

Looks like I might have to move it. Sigh.

Work at the other area is now compete and it has been reopened. No sign of action at GZ, unfortunately.

Got notification from Council re the area around GZ.
It will still be closed for a while longer, but work prior to reopening another of the closed areas will start within the next week. Hopefully this area will follow sooner rather than later.

Late log. Didn't know it was off limit and made my way to search, but after 10 minutes, left.
Well there is action at one of the other cordoned off areas... just not this one.
Still keeping an eye on it.

So much for being finished by the end of November!
GZ is still cordoned off, so no access yet.

UPDATE ON REPLACEMENT
Council is cordoning off a few spots in the area for soil testing. GZ of this cache is in one of those areas.
Hopefully testing will be finished fairly quickly and I will be able to replace the cache by the end of the month. Of course if there are issues it may be longer.

Scouted out a thematically similar but different placement.
Should be back soon.

What I did find at GZ was the 'thing' that the cache should gave been attached to (confirmed by the CO), but the cache container wasn't there. It seems a previous finder took it home to 'fix it'. I will have to return another time after the CO has replaced it.
OCW Mrs Aries after the GCNSW AGM up the road.
Grrrh! this is our third DNF today. We spent sometime looking high and low, north and east but nothing became apparent, so after around 20 minutes we gave it away.

Goodness, I've never had much luck with these types of caches - and this one certainly proved no different. After following the clue and turning up nothing, I read back through some recent logs. It seems the cache had come loose and has maybe now been reattached elsewhere? In any case, I looked for a good 15-20mins, but eventually decided to continue onwards to other caches!
Like the others looking after the NSWGC event, we had too DNF it too. Spent ages searching. Saw something that may have held the cache and we contacted the CO later, who confirmed that it was the right thing. But no cache! The past finder seems to indicate they may have taken it to repair, but haven't told anyone yet? Thanks anyway.
Found it but not hanging like it d should of been. I'll fix it into place on my return with some supplies. Later this evening.

Well hidden - don't be afraid to climb right in there amongst the vegetation to find it. SL TFTC
Good quick find after a bit of a hiatus.
Lots of noise from the football nearby but nobody around in this well selected location.
Mercifully found very quickly after crossing the creek the hard way. Ended up with a lot of farmers friends attached.
Thanks for the cache!

OCW morty8888. Now this little feller took us awhile to locate. We were initially looking a little too high. TFTC.
This required a bit of serious eye scanning to reveal the cache as it blends in well. TFTC
Staying overnight in Dundas and thought I'd nab this one whilst I had the chance. Nice stroll down to GZ where the neat hide that blended in very well was spotted.

Cache check.
All good. The container may be 20-30cm lower than the hint suggests but otherwise it's fine.

Got off the bus a few stops earlier to nab this one on the way home from work TFTC
I had only a 10 minute window to hang around here. I started to look around, but after a couple of minutes my eyes focused more strongly on something. The cache.
Thanks for another hide Hade.

nicely blended into its surroundings took a few minutes to find, signed & returned as found thanks Gatherer Hade for placing & maintaining this & all your other caches. Log 1213 SD 334
My last one in this series. The clue is about 500mm out as something has occurred. I will let the CO know so he can amend the clue, leave it as is or reposition the cache.

Found with Coybear2000. We were in the area celebrating Earthcache Day and we decided to do a few other caches nearby. As things turned out, we'd gone past this cache already collecting info for the earth cache. Once back at GZ we started our search. After some minutes C came up with the goods. TFTC.

Had to use the hint as again struggled upon spotting this one and then, where is my pen?
Oh well, green hi lighter came in handy, thanks GH

Tricky terrain. Got some friends interested in Geocaching with this adventure. TFTC
After geopuppy's final vaccination we headed northward for a walk and some geocaching. I parked in Quarry Road just past the sports club which looked like a central location for the caches we were aiming for.
First one, something just hanging around.
A short walk from the geomobile and we encountered a small creek. I could see a way round not far away but no too lazy to go the extra distance so geopup made his first water crossing.
At the top I tethered him to the tree beside the eucalypt so I could search unhindered. Hmmm lots of bees in blossom, I might be allergic to bees, not sure, but I was well covered up as it quite cool this morning so I decided to risk it.
D1.5 means I should be able to reach it but having read the hint I wasn't sure I would be able to and as I couldn't initially see anything I decided to climb up the tree a bit. From there I could easily see the cache but..........I still couldn't reach it! I was too high!
A bit of hanging around and I managed to get the base off and the log out and then descended to sign the log.
Oh no the dog ate it!!
No he didn't, just kidding. All signed and replaced from the now obvious access point where even I can reach the cache.

2nd find this morning, now off to check out some pavilions.

Decided to catch up on my logs, too much time has passed to remember anything unique about my adventure, most were just straight forward park n grabs, however, I did enjoy myself and appreciate the time each CO has put in to make the hide. I do remember this one did take some time to locate and was a relief to finally spot it. SL #3280 on streak day #1885 TFTC
Picked the P0 parking spot today, initially I found myself on the wrong side of the creek so had to backtrack around. These can be amazingly hard to spot at times but once I was on the right angle from the east it was cache in hand fairly quickly. Thanks Gatherer Hade.
Another quick grab as we clean up a few of the newer caches around this area.
No one in the park today making searching relaxed and fun
I look forward to more in this series

Not a fan of the caches that hang around, but with three sets of eyes it didn't take too long to have the CIH. Nice to be working with a team today. Thanks Gatherer Hade.
I had just arrived at GZ when I heard voices and along came P&Q. Eagle eyed P... spotted the hide but Master Q claimed he saw it first.... LOL........ nice to meet you both.
Going to the GeocachingNSW AGM, but not without cleaning the area out.
After spotting it we made GeoDirk approach it and hide in the tree while we signed it. TFTC!

After the nearby AGM event I dropped past this point to make another rare find for the day. I've done the rest of this series over time and it's good to see an example of how to hide a cache which would be of use to new players. What I like most about a hiding spot apart from being an interesting spot to visit is the ability to search in private. Nothing I dislike more than houses with windows overlooking GZ. Anyway this took longer than it should for someone with my experience but got there in the end. Must have just missed a few others from the AGM. Signed and replaced.
Thanks!
Thanks!

You are always playing with fire when you target a micro with limited time. Apparently I approached from the better side, but it didn't help. A few laps later I spotted it somewhat lower than where I had been looking.
That was the last one I was missing for the UBH series. I wonder what happened to #5???

I guess I can consider myself a reasonably experienced geocacher, but I always struggle with this type of hide. Today was no exception. I was there ages before I spotted the cache, and that's even knowing what I was looking for, and it's elevation.
As I was driving off, I noticed two Council vehicles drive in and park right next to GZ. A minute earlier and I'd have been sprung.
Nice one, thanks Gatherer Hade.

I was let out of work early today and was very excited to still have daylight left outside to find some caches. Another ubiquitous cache is just what I was after.
Thanks for the cache.

This cache blended in well with it's surrounds and took a little while to locate. TFTC.
Found on this cool but sunny morning. No muggles meant an easy time searching the foliage. Initially on the wrong side then suddenly ahah! got you. Thanks for the cache.
For a while I couldn't spot this and then all of a sudden it was obvious!?! I came it the from the wrong side of the creek.

Only had a few minutes to find the cache, checked on the branch on both sides, had no luck. And we did not have enough time to look further
Not FTF but FTL seen this one pop up on the way home from stocktake thought I had a shot but was disappointed when I opened the cache to see someone had beaten me to the prize Thanks GH for the placement cheers
Once in the correct location made for a quick find. GPS jumping around did not help today. Tftc.
