I'm halfway through a challenge, finding a multi every day for 10 days. Today, as we are heading to a birthday/housewarming in Whangarei, this was seemed like the easiest/most straight forward of the two on our route. We quickly found the signpost and worked out the nearby coordinates. I walked over and searched for 5 minutes before Daddypig came to help. I had narrowed down the search area, and he checked it again. I then tried slightly closer to the water before turning around and spotting the cache, not quite where the hint said. After signing the log I replaced it as described in the hint, at the same level I found it.
Heading north to Whangarei with rattll, stopped in Waipu for a coffee break. This multi was nearby, and easily achievable in a short time. The information was quickly found, then a short walk to GZ. This stage took longer, searching through the vegetation. I spied the camouflaged container after about 10 min of hunting. All well inside. Signed, and returned as found. Tftc!
Heading up north for a week or two with matagouri, picking up any caches we can safely pull over at with the campervan as we go.We stopped in Waipu for lunch and a much needed coffee break, but couldn't leave without getting at least one cache. As an ex dairy farmer, this one appealed to me.This was a nice straight forward solve, although the find took little longer. Thanks for putting a cache at this interesting spot
2146. 12:58 pm. Last time &Co were younger and I never really got a proper search so I logged a note instead of a full DNF. It did feel like an avenged DNF with eKitten making the find while I was still deciding how to get closer. Great spot for a little park and a way to preserve a bit of history. TFT(milk)C.
We aren’t sure how to use coordinates…. But we are good at hunting love locally, it’s a bit wet so will get a glad bag and pencil for future finders
An enjoyable and simple multi. Took a few minutes to locate the cache once the coordinates were solved. Thanks for the fun, and the cache.
We stayed close by laat night so this was a multiwe could do quickly before family meetings in Whangarei. A nicely worked multi which took longer to find than to solve. All good though and in a lovely quiet spot. Thanks for the multi Riser5
Found ..the cache is in good condition ..thanks for bringing me to this historic place cheers Riser5
Solved puzzle but the crew was way too restless for an extended search and it definitely isn't a quick find. I'll return.
Didn't take too long to find once solved. Previous log very helpful! What an interesting, and hidden, place! TFTC

With my trip almost over we called in here on the way back home to scope out this (almost) en route cache. Parked up and headed to the sign and soon had the required numbers, nice use of the base for the park though. Off to GZ and after checking a few options I headed around another side and spotted the red-capped cache. All good and replaced as found. Off home now, cheers Riser, 99 not out!
A trip up to Whangarei which was on, then canceled, then on again. We woke up to yet another frosty day - 4 in a row I think, but the promise also of a blue sky day. We packed up a few things and headed North with a plan for a nice lunch out and a few modest numbers of caches, also grabbed a couple of ad lab caches. I was also hoping to tick my Riser5 cache finds up and over 100 for an upcoming possible Challenge cache to set. Alas 3 Riser5's for the total leaving me on 99 finds, but it wouldn't be a trip to Northland without a Riser cache as I've said (a number of times previously). Thanks to all COs for their caches.

This one took a very long time to find but I didn’t want to give up. I came back today to look further but I forgot to bring a pen ( took a photo of the log instead) very nice what they have done with the ruins, I suspect the kids play as much in the ruins as they do on the Actual playground. TFTC
Found all the information but couldn’t find the cache. It might be well concealed.
I milked this one by barking up the wrong tree more than once. Finally found exactly where it should have been. TFTC.
This could count as ou quickest multi ever as Mr P and I tried our best not to get too wet. T4tc
Nice quick solve and grab at GZ which was good as it began to shower just as I reached the information board. Interesting how they have now developed the area into a playground. All good here, TFTC.
Nice find while in the area with tmann421 today
Enjoying the trip north and the caches
Signed log as tm/ww NZ

Nice find with woolwood9 today.
We enjoyed the drive / walk around the area.
Stamped logs as tm/ww NZ which may just look like a black smudge on plastic logs!

*Very nice multi-cache I love relics from the past and the history. We got the numbers quickly but the cache took quite a while before ww9 found it. I was close to giving up I have to admit.*

Wonderful time in Waipu today and so enjoyed this multi. Such an interesting place to visit. Nice quick find thx. a couple of muggle males went past with kayaks in tow for a wee paddle closeby. Not a worry as Not interested in what I was up too.
4.00pm. A bit of a choice here for hiding places so it took a while but got it at last.
Thank you. David.
Thank you. David.
I'm up in Whangarei visiting my parents for one last time before I head over to the UK for the foreseeable future - however they are currently on their last leg of their south island tour, so actually aren't home at the moment, so I've got some time on my hands.
Woke up early this morning and after a quick look out of window into the darkness at the weather, I decided that I would head down Waiwera/Kaukapakapa way, to collect some caches in the Route 66 series. I solved the Route 66 series at least two years ago now and haven't had the opportunity to collect as I've always been in a hurry to get to the parents' place in Whangarei.
I was going really well on the Route 66 series before lunch, but since eating my sandwich, I seem to have lost my mojo. Can't be bother going back down dusty rounds for the rest of the series, so going to head back home with a few on the way.
I did look at doing all the multi caches in Waipu, but the other three seemed to be more trouble than they were worth, so I decided to settle for just this one instead. A quick and easy solve at a remarkable playground and a quick and easy find of the final cache. Giving it a FP for location. Last one for the day, heading for what is currently home. TFTC

Out and about with TW, doing some driveby's , walkbys etc, and just having a nice day cruising for caches. Thanks.
TF and I had planned a day up north picking up a few caches and this was one we both hadn't found. Multis are my new fav type of cache so it was nice to see this one was nice and easy. TF did the honours with the find. Thanks
Heading home after a big day in the Waikato yesterday, where Team G0LD manged 214 caches in one day.
Time for a break from the long miles on the road, so we called in here to look for this multi. The required info was soon sorted and then off to the final GZ. The GPS was playing up a bit, so it did take 3 or 4 minutes before it settled down enough and the find call came out. Our last one for the weekend. TFTC

I'm down from Okaihau in the Far North with 0B80B8 and DaffyNZ on a three day caching mission. We aimed to get the Kiwi puzzles, the NZ icons and The Eyes Have It series in one day. Not a feat for the faint hearted geocacher.
We arrived in Hamilton on Friday evening grabbed a few caches and had dinner in the lovely Hamilton gardens. We then set off to grab a few more caches.
On Saturday with careful planning we managed to get a massive 214 caches. We worked really well as Team GOLD and had a great day.
Today we're heading home caching along the way. We finished the 52 pick up cards series before getting some miles under our belts on the journey home. This cache was our last find for the trip. The calculations were easily made and the cache found quickly afterwards, thanks

Did this After the Waipu walkabout multi - kids really didn't the walking in the heat involved with that one..... HAHA!! This one was their savior - they played in the ruins - playing some (who knows what) game while we scouted the cache quickly. Made a reasonably quick find, signed and returned cache. TFTC.
The stars (or perhaps the Milky Way) aligned for this FTF. Not only was I up north, but I was in Waipu itself at the time of publication (the other side of town, but still...) and I was even out and about geocaching there and then! So even with eyeballs finally on a tricky camo, I abandoned signing duties to hot-foot it (literally - a sweaty jog in jandals) back to the car at the start of the Waipu Cycle Trail. Parking near the published coords I was a bit worried as a similarly beat-up banger of a car to mine was parked on the street too. Another FTF-mobile??? Found the info quickly enough (interesting!) and wandered along to made the find in the second trunk I investigated! Phew! This cat has got the cream and the log was blank! Signed in at 3.11pm. Thanks for this milky cache! I like mine whole and organic please!
