Think we was in the right place but couldn't find it even with hint. Nice spot though thanks
As it was a long weekend and today being better weather than yesterday, work having been done around the house it was a chance to get out and find the odd cache in the company of 11HPG11.
Today we managed to find a grand total of 58 caches with only 9 DNF's along the way, and even managed to be home by 4,30pm so as not to annoy Mrs Dragon too much (although privately I believe that she may rather enjoy a day at home without an annoying husband being about the house).
Setting out from Hamilton nice and early meant that we managed to locate quite a few caches without any traffic to contend with, in fact Auckland is rather pleasant at this time of the day without both people and vehicles to contend with.
It has been possibly 7 years since I have walked along here and as there were a few caches they were part of the target grouping today. We headed out and cached the way back in, with the entire place to ourselves it was magical, adn made the effort of the early rising all that much more worth it. We made our way out to the end and 11HPG11 quickly spotted the well crafted cache, while I was still thinking about the proccedings.
Thank you to all the CO's for their hard work in making this day possible, in both the placing the caches and maintaining them. We both had a great day.

When Cats&Dragons suggested a day in Auckland collecting a few caches I was very keen. When I checked the weather forecast I wasn't quite as keen. Determined to stay dry I packed all my wet weather gears and my gumboots. Was happily surprised to not need any of this and we were treated to a stunning day of great weather and great caches. Logs were signed with either HOAC or a combination of our names.
I remember visiting this spot a few years ago for the Mega walk. A lot nicer today now there isn't a huge group of people. Found the cache and had it in my hand for a brief moment before I realised it was the cache. Nicely camo'd

Out and about for some cache finding fun today. Taking advantage of the fine, yet cool weather to get some exercise along the northern section of the Okura Bush Walkway. The track is much wetter and muddier than I expected. Luckily I chose hiking boots for this trek. As I approach GZ a gentle shower started to fall. It was the only shower, for me, of the day. GZ gave me ample shelter as I searched for the hide. After a brief search I found something of interest. A closer look completed the find. Cheers for the cache placement!
Superb camouflage. First climbed and found an empty container. Instead of putting a new log in, decided to look further and there she was. Perfect hint.
If this hide will be in Australia I will not put my hand into it .... Well placed hide. All good at GZ. TFTC
We'd had our eye on this track and series for the last 3-4 years, and the mission of this summer was to complete it. Mission complete, but our geosense was definitely off today, or was it the new GPS. A much easier walk out to this cache and a quick find for a well hidden cache, thanks
I suggested to Mr & Mrs Beconaze we go for a walk - the walk for me and mrs beconaze, this walk so Mr beconaze could zoom off ahead of us and collect the caches while we meandered along.
With this cache I'd had it in my hand twice and not recognised it for what it was. I think we spent 15 minutes here trying to find it. Finally Mrs Beconaze came to the resue, and we all felt a tiny wee bit foolish
Good design.

Well this had the three of us searching for quite some time and we went over some of the spots multiple time till the ah ha moment finally came. This was nice an clever so a favorite point from us.
It was a nice day for a walk so Jag50, Aiden29 and I headed here for the day. Mrs Jag found this well hidden cache, I don't think this one will be muggled easily
We were heading out to walk the Okura Bush walk with Aiden29 and Merlot58. Once at GZ we spread out in search of the cache. Mrs JAG found the cache well hidden away from muggle eyes.
We headed out to do part of the Okura Bush walk with Jag50 and Merlot58. A nice walk to the end of the spit. We circled one tree and then expanded out. In the end Mrs Jag came back to the original location and tried one spot that had been overlookedA she located the cache, with it's cool camo.
Having done the Okura Bush Walkway South of Dacre Cottage last summer I thought I'd tackle the North side with the kids... although I had no idea it would be so muddy This was the 2nd find of the day and a nice quick one once we got through the gorse and cutty grass... although I had to check the hiding location with a torch first to double check as I didn't want to stick my hand there for no reason , TFTC!
Had a few hours to spare today and haven't been caching much recently...so this was the plan for today!
Lovely view of the boats down here ....Found cache...not what I expected...but of course it's Glyn !
Thanks for enjoyable trail !

I cannot remember how many times I have visited this spot looking for a cache. Hadn't realised it had been "revived" but ironically as I was approaching for yet another look I thought I had an aha moment. Turned out I was completely wrong but when I checked I discovered that there was a new hint. This time I finally found it although it took a while and had the cache in hand twice before realising. My nemesis is finally found. Tftc
I actually found this in the first place I looked. This is very unusual as I normally find the cache in the last place I look. The cache looks like it has been here for ages even though it was only placed this year. TFTC.
Been out here a few times for caches, and they have all been worth the trip. Pretty muddy track today though.

I have set myself a challenge for this year to have at least the same number of caches on each day of my calender as the number of years I have been caching.
Today the target is eleven. Met up with capperz, a cacher from Blenheim here.
Cheers for the cache.

Another great hide here and I will donate it's first FP too. Easy find with good coordinates and hint. Replaced as found. As I came back from this I encountered Tufty and we had a catch up and introduction. Hi told me of the (later) muddy track which saved me from wet(ter) feet and send me to the other (drier) end of the track. T F T C G--2
After nearly meeting Tufty yesterday where I found signs of his caravan but not him, I later encountered him at the Okura walkway and he filled me in the Piggy in the middle story, ahh that makes sense now.
Another weekend day in Auckland and still have the car my friend lent me to get round and see the sights (Geocaching). Todays plan was a many splendored thing; start off with a Wherigo and an Earthcache, clear the new caches off the 101 Dalmation road(s), do few at each end of the Stillwater/Millwater walkway at Okura Bush, dinner with my Aunt in Kumeu before returning car to Greenhithe around 7pm. A few targets and a wonderful days weather for my efforts too, nice one Auckland cachers! Managed to grab quality caches for the most part and a nice round number of 33 for the day was just the ticket.

Made my way along the spit to get here only to find a young family there chilling out under the tree. Explained to them what I was up to and they had heard of geocaching and thought it was pretty cool. This was a super quick find which was good for the ego as there were 4 other people watching and trying to help. They were super impressed with the camo and think we may have some new recruits. Many thanks for these new caches.
Last one of the day for us here and another familiar area for me - still took a bit of searching though before TheMexican eventually made the sneaky find. Nicely done and one last soggy stomp back to the car from here. TFTC
Much easier to reach than those on the last spit, evilno9, TheMexican and I made this one harder than it needed to be for a while before we found the cache in the obvious place. Nice hide, TFTC
So pleased to get a smile here today, even if I was second to find behind Gorby and FMZ (yer well done guys....)
I've looked for the previous cache that was here on two occasions, with no luck, but the replacement cache was quickly located and logged just as its starting to get dark.
Such a nice spot out here and great the rain has stopped long enough for me to claim my third 2TF for the afternoon. Thanks again for the fun adventure.

Headed up here in the afternoon after work with Gorby for a stroll in this lovely weather. Pretty boggy along the track - wish the council would do something about this end of the Okura Bush walk as the rest of the track through the bush is very good. Anyway, made a quick find here for a joint {FTF} - nice hide. FTF #2039 TFTC!!!
Made our way up here with FMZ from the Nth Shre from a previous FTF. Time to get wet a little now. The grass from the carpark is long and wet, the gummies are wet inside, and there are a heap of wet puddles, and we have our brollies with us, but are we having fun? Yeees we are!! Me and FMZ are no strangers to doing crazy stuff but today only rates a 4 out of 10 for crazy. Got to GZ and we could see where we should be looking, by the time I put my brolly down FMZ said: "Found it". Yaah hoo. Nice camo job G. Fits in well with it's surroundings. Joint {FTF} with FMZ.
