Did not find it! While staying at Kirra for the week, we looked a couple of time but did not find the cache. Don’t think it is there anymore. Anyway TFTC

Had a quick look at GZ. Nothing obvious so I moved on as I had a way to go still.

nature0nut, we didn’t find your cache today. Sorry, but it wasn’t for lack of trying though! Searched everywhere and like menu recently I can’t see it. Recent painting may have dislodged cache? Will add a Needs Maintenance to get this one checked

nature0nut, your geocache 100 Years of Kirra SLSC (GC73GQY) needs urgent maintenance. We visited it on 20 June 2023 and the area has been disturbed recently for painting of the monument. Suggest CO checks and either replaces or gives reassurance that cache is still somewhere to be found.

Don't think it's here and it does look like it has been repainted recently.

No luck here today. Even looked on the ground just in case.
Was told by a worker that it had recently been taken down and repainted. Not sure if that was before the last replacement of the cache.

Found! After searching for ages, found it sitting on the ground! Signed in the log on the only tiny bit of white left. Could use a replacement

First find in Aus

A quick find with the use of some logic. The real difficulty was finding somewhere to sign and rolling the log back up. Managed to squeeze a sign in. TFTC.

Up to my parents for a few days and flew into Coolangatta wanted one in Queensland for this trip (at least) and so 9:30 at night seemed a good time. All quiet and cache quickly Found but could not open - sealed tight or corroded. Message with cache sent to confirm find.

Quick find whilst visiting tftc

Failed today but will be back later after checking the coordinates.

Out for a quick cruise around to do two nearby ALs.

I was not sure if I would be able to do this one. Despite the cool weather the carpark was full, warmer in the water and when the surf is up....

Luckily, despite all the cars the muggles were elsewhere.

Holidaying at Coolangatta & couldn't not stop to get this one whilst walking past on our late afternoon stroll.

There's still a fair bit of room on the log, so unsure why other finders have chosen not to sign it. Muggle central at dinner time, though!

Geo son located this in about 2 seconds! The hardest part was getting it without being seen. Lucky the sun was scorching and most people were hiding. Great cache!

Last day of the Crooked clan Coolangatta Christmas break. Whilst the rest of the clan slept, I opted for a walk to the beach - the long way - collecting a few local caches on the way.

Thankfully, despite the busy caffeine rush around the corner, I was able to sit down here and quietly make the find, before a swim nearby. All in good order.

Located it at night with no one around but didn't have a pen so back again and able to be very subtle without hunting. Been away from Kirra and this strip too long! Sydney's beaches are good but have nothing on this. Thanks for placing, found before a dip between the flags nearby...

Easy find tftc

Found quickly. Log hard to get out and in though. TFTC.

We headed down at Kirra beach for a few days to celebrate my birthday. We headed out for a bit of an explore and to find something to eat. Fortunately this cache was close by. The geo-monsters couldn't spot it, so yours truly stepped in, but then I couldn't get the log out of the container, whereas one of the geo-monsters could. A team effort!!

Returning after a DNF some time ago, was a quick find this time, but then struggled w my fat fingers for ages, & was not able to extract the log. Hoping this pic will suffice

With renovations well underway part of the carpark has been fenced off. The cache is currently inaccessible.

Tried not to look too dodgy as people used the bathroom behind us. Managed to find it in-between people. TFTC!

Down from Brisbane with IolantheK for a few days break at Kirra.
We decided on a long walk and this one was on the way.
Nice easy find in great condition although with the temporary toilet block that's been put in the car park during renovations makes it a stealth required cache [:P}

T-Tech and I are staying at Kirra for a few days and late this afternoon we set off to walk to Griffith St to collect the AL there. Along the way we made sure to grab this cache as well. Hard to be stealthy when there's a temporary toilet building right at GZ, but we managed to make the find and sign the log. TFTC, nature0nut.

We are now camped at the Chinderah Caravan aprk for 3 days.
Hubby parked the car while I took off to locste the cache, The hint helped to made a quick find.
