Hi tryfyn

This geocache was brought to my attention as being in need of an owner maintenance visit and after my previous reviewer note, there has been no owner response. The cache owner needs to check on this cache ASAP and either replace it or archive it, after picking up any geo-litter. See the [maintenance section of the Geocache Listing Requirements/Guidelines](http://www.geocaching.com/about/guidelines.aspx#listingmaintenance).

I've added this cache to my watchlist, and I will check back in four weeks to be sure that the maintenance has been done. In the meantime, I have temporarily disabled this listing. When the maintenance is completed, the owner can enable the listing by clicking on the link below the cache name to return it to active status.

Whatever your intentions, please **post a note** here on the cache page (not email) to let us know that you are still active and maintaining the cache. If a month passes without seeing a response, then I'll assume that this listing should be archived.

Please note, that if a cache is archived due to lack of owner maintenance, the cache is unable to be unarchived.

Nice to get out after work and do this trail on our bikes.
Had a really good look here, two sets of eyes, but unfortunately no luck here today.

A nice quick find thanks.

Ms_KR and I are off on a wee tour of the North Island. The weather was mostly dry today, a bonus. We cruised around Tauranga and headed north to Wihi Beach.

Thanks to all CO's for publishing and maintaining their caches. Cheers.

Making the best of a lovely sunny winters day for a bike cruise around the countryside for some smilies. And what a great day it was! Revisiting this cache after a DNF last time and thankfully a nice quick find as there are always plenty of passing cyclists on this very popular trail. Lots of water lying around in the paddocks today - the wetland is certainly coming into it's own. Cache is all good. TFTC

Next one on our journey. I spotted it due to mentions of a wire in previous posts Razz

Cache has been re-attached. All good.

A cache bike ride was on the to do list today, made a deal with my kiddo that for every $2 she makes me spend on her we have to find a cache. Funny how she has reduced her spending only needed to find 6 today lol TFTC needs maintenance tho.

Cache still there but no longer on a wire, may end up going wondering if not given some TLC

This one was a bit exposed when I came upon it, hope I tucked it in the right place. Was looking in the wrong area initially, but glad I came upon it. Nice track, have been ticking off piece by piece.

We didn't spot the cache at first but soon had it in hand with help from the hint although stealth was important as there were quite a few muggles around.
Such a nice cycleway and good to see so many people out enjoying it. TFTC

Visiting Tauranga for the weekend and staying at an Airbnb which provided bikes. Headed out early to tackle this series. Not too many people about so reasonably undisturbed caching. Not the biggest catch I’ve had but well worth a smiley. TFTC

Mr Northwood took one of the junior Northwoods to Mount Maunganui for a sports tournament and some geocaching. Tauranga and the Mount are where Northwood senior grew up.

I was hopeful that this pathway might yield quite a number of finds, but given time constraints and some being on the other side, I lucked out more than expected. Only logging finds and ones I did have a look for.

No joy here, after an earlier find I thought I knew what I was looking for. But that did not help.

10-Mar-19
Blimmin' annoyed that we couldn't find this one. Great caching area and it sounds like a really good, well camoed cache. We looked and puzzled, but just couldn't twig it! TFTC

20-Feb-19
Not sure if I misinterpreted the hint, but I couldn't find it today. I'm sure it's there though, but I need to walk back to the motel and get something to eat before it gets dark!

Almost gave up, but eventually spotted the cache. At least the trail is nice and quiet today, TFTC

No luck here today. Will return another day

24-Nov-18
On a day that that the weather is only good for the ducks I took the dog for a walk and had a go at a few caches on this side of the river.

This was the first of the day for me and due to the cache owners dedication, correct coordinates, the hint and even with such an awsome camo I found it.

The contents of the previous log had no relivance to this cache as every part is on point and as everyone else that has been able to find it would agree.

I am sorry hadn't read all the logs until tonight as i would have checked the other cache of the CO i had passed on my way to this one to see if it was still there but thinking about it and due to the fact i was able to find the next cache that had been bagged by the same person by puttting a rude DNF on i think some people should just go to Specsavers.

This cache is in great condition and is a fav point from me.

SL TFTC

16-Nov-18
After the disappointment at the previous cache, I was to get exactly the same here. A clue that didn't help and loads of searching for nothing. It was at this point that I decided that this must be representative of the trail and checked to see if any other COs had caches nearby on the trail and took another DNF.

My GPS has packed a sad so I'm using my phone. That seems to expand the search area a little and in places like this that can be more than a little frustrating. Finally found the beautifully camo'ed container. Thanks for the hide Smile.

15-Aug-18
On strike today... I did my bit for the cause before deciding to spend the afternoon cache hunting.

I've been waiting for the opportune time to collect the caches on the far side of the river. There has been a long wait for the new bridge to be completed. I was never going to slide across that pipe in the water... I pondered over the hint... It all became clear when the cache was found. Clever! TFTC.

We stopped by for this one while we were out for a bike ride along the valley - thanks for the placement & very nice camo job!

09-Jan-18
Got muggked quite abit on this cache and people even asked if I was okay. I pretended to be on the phone (: I had a preconceived idea of what to look for from the hint which lead to a long search as I was too busy searching for one particular thing. Thank you for the challenge. I will be back to pick up the caches I didn't find on this loop

First time we biked down here we thought we were on the wrong side of the creek. Turns out we were on the correct side. Some botanical knowledge was helpful here, and we soon had the well cammoed cache in hand. Thanks tryfyn.

This is the last one I needed in this series, and I was home in time for Tea!! Great camo Job, many thanks, TFTC

Time to head out and tidy up this map a little. I gathered the family and this was our last stop for the day. I never know quite what to expect on these ones but was pleased to spy it pretty quickly. Cheers tryfyn, TFTC.

I have set myself a challenge for this year to have at least the same number of caches on each day of my calender as the number of years I have been caching.

Today the target is seven and a nice little 10 km bike ride. This is the sixth for the day.

Cheers for the cache.

Had to do these without hints in the GPS and without description and logs, did have the phone with me just in case I needed to look them up... no need here, the luck of the Irish must be with me at the mo....
Nice camo job here

Tonight was another adventure crewed by kiwis69, 11HPG11 & HKCB to see what we could find along this part of Tauranga as together and separately we had spent a lot of time clearing out other areas but not this one so it was a bit of a mystery as to what we would in turn find.
Generally we signed as HOAC or some variant of that (depending on how tired we were or whom for that matter signed the Log). We left Hamilton at 6pm collecting cachers as we went and made it home in time for breakfast (some slept on the way home - lucky buggers). Had some great walks in the evening, lots of laughs and some curses as am sure that many of these caches are easier to locate in daylight rather than the middle of the night. Not a bad night to be out and all in all about 40 caches collected, which should in turn put a hole in the map. Thanks to all the Co's who enable us to have fun.

This was the thirteenith of the evening and the first start to many kilometers that we actualy walked tonight. this entire segment we walked and enjoyed as we had the area to ourselves.

Thanks for the placement, Thanks for the cache

06-May-17
Another night mission in Tauranga tonight, but this time Cats&Dragons, Kiwis69 and 11HPG11 joined in the all night fun. Leaving Hamilton about 6pm meant we could get a good few hours in before sleep called and we headed back home to bed, still it was about 4am when we called it a night. A few tricky/frustrating hides, and a couple of DNF's made it a longer night than needed but still a really fun night out caching. A big thanks to the CO's for all the hides we found, we signed the logs with HOAC to save space.

Parked near No.8 and took advantage of previous trips to this area and used another man made structure to cross the river and avoid doing the full loop. No really problems with any of the hides though a few did take a few minutes searching to locate. Thanks for the trail.

05-May-17
Out on a Friday night mission with Cats&Dragons, HKCB and Kiwis69. Because who wants to spend Friday night sitting at home watching TV when you can skip the sleep and cache all night long. Signed logs as HOAC to save room

A lovely spot for a moonlit stroll on a frosty night. Another nicely hidden cache, have enjoyed finding all of these caches... and figuring out the hints!

05-May-17
Over from Hamilton on a night caching mission around Tauranga with HKCB, Cats&Dragons & 11hpg11. Really enjoyed walking along here on a clear moonlit night. Suspect it could be busy during the day but not a soul, other than us idiots & a few possums, on the trail tonight which makes for easier searching. Cache signed as HOAC to save logbook space. TFTC

Was a great day for a ride today. SplattyNZ and I decided to pick up the recent caches along the new power trail.
I did my usual quick look and moved to another area. Splatty then comes in and finds it in the most obvious place. Doh! I can't believe I missed it.

Managed to get this one before eagle-eyed Dave snagged it today. He might say that he had a "quick look" or something like that but really he was all over it like a rash and managed to completely miss it. Don't tell him I said that though.

I'll give ya a fav!

24-Apr-17
Had the grandkids when these came out so saved them for Richard and me today - great day for it. Knew what I should be looking for but it took awhile as the camo blends in really well. SmileSmileSmileSmileTFTC SmileSmileSmile

24-Apr-17
We decided today would be a good day to take the bikes to Tauranga and tackle some of the new caches on the cycle trail. Mrs S has not been riding for a couple of months because she had a fall and ripped a 20cm hole in her leg. Now it has almost healed it's time to regain the fitness, strength and balance.

Another cool camo that Mr S spotted. Very annoyed that we missed
# 3 but that's an incentive to return.

Thanks fro another smilie tryfyn.
