As I walked up the track my GPSr took me to the right hand side where there are two places that fit the cache name, but neither produced the cache. I went across the track to the third possibility and found the cache there. I guess biggest is best. TFTC.
Quick find. We also acknowledge the traditional custodians of New Zealand / Aoteroa, as we geocache throughout their land while on holiday. Thanks for showing us this place, & for placing and maintaining this cache. The is our playground
Day 3 of trip with Blue Jay around the south island. Today we went from Hokitaki to Fox Glazier and again saw some beautiful countryside..This cache was found along the route.TFTC. Toffee Man.
A lovely tree, a whole world growing on it. Spotted the cache easily despite the numerous hidey holes. Thanks for placing
1MinnieMoo and I were in the area and thought it would be plain rude not to grab this one.Thankfully it was a nice quick find. A lovely place for a cache. TFTC gracie7 + Mum
25/9/2023 Find #6609Day 17 of the Fangsoki/1MinnieMoo New Zealand South Island adventure. Todays journey would take us from Hokitika to Nelson. A lot of driving to be done, but before we began the trip towards Nelson, we just had to detour for a couple of older caches in Hokitika first. Having grabbed the older cache here we headed back towards the van and stopped for this one. Quickly found at a beautiful big tree. Thanks for the cache gracie7 + Mum.
First looked on the wrong site of the track. Then had a look to the bigger. Thanks
First we were looking for it on the other side of the track but finally we found it. TFTC
Found - Mrs McMike2012 & I now live full-time in our caravan & travel the country visiting places we want to visit … we are currently parked up at the DoC Lake Mahinapua Campsite … we’d been down to Ross & were heading back to our campsite but decided to detour & have a look for a few more local caches … we picked the TB out of this cache, it can go for a wander with us for the next wee while, till we find somewhere appropriate to drop it … this cache was easily found, log completed & replaced … pleased to add another 'smiley face' to the tally … TFTC ... TN:LN:SL ... #3,906 for us.
Day 7 on our holiday in New Zealand. Today our tour is going from Fox Glacier to Punakaiki. We also visited this traditional cache, found it, and signed the logbook.

We would never had walked here if it weren't for geocaching - thanks once again co - TFTC
I remember coming here before we had a kid and doing this walk in terribly heavy rain, silly idea, Lovely today.
A quick easy find on a nice Sunday bush walk. Cache all good In The hood. Thanks for the placement
Parked up on the return journey from Hokitika back down south. On a mission to find another oldie on the track. A lovely stroll on the sheltered track away from the strong cold wind. Easy quick find, good hint, cache all good tftc
There was just one place the cache could be, but I approaached from the wrong side. SW approached from the "right" side and made a quick find.
Big is good. TFTC.

#21547. The second cache along the track was also a quick find. Enjoying the walk (and the fact that it's not a long one; it was well into the afternoon and we were a little weary). TFTC.
Beautiful big trees in here and such a peaceful walk , cicadas were absolutely humming today ! Love the sound of summer ! Great quick find
We had to look at the second bigger option. Coordinates are a bit off but the hint was very helpful. Kiddos loved the beach!
Wow this little area is beautiful! I never would have thought to come here if it wasn't for the caches!
Found on this wet day as I was signing the cache 2 hounds were on the track whete i was.
Thank you for the cache

Found with NZDi. We are heading to the Wet Coast on a trip to help support the Hokitika and Franz Josef post-Covid lockdown tourism industry. The package includes a nights accommodation in Hokitika and Franz Josef, entry to the West Coast Tree Top Walk and the Franz Josef Wildlife Centre as well as a helicopter flight over the Franz Josef Glacier all for $299 per person. We had two glitches on our trip, the first was when we were turned back at O'Sullivans bridge due to a slip at Lyell. The second was going into Level 4 lockdown at midnight tonight cutting our trip short. The slip at Lyell wasn't much of a drama, as we detoured through Springs Junction causing a 30 minute addition to our travelling time.
Our main caching target for this trip was to gather enough metres to climb Puncak Jaya in the GCHQ Reach the Peak Challenge.
We noticed a handy trio of caches on the way back to town from doing the Tree Tops Walk, so stopped by here for a QEF SWaG (Short Walk and Grab). NZDi found this one while c:geo led me astray elsewhere.

We spent time admiring the host of this cache while muggles passed by before moving in for the find. This is a lovely little walk. TFTC
I've lost count of the number of people who have spotted me in the bush off the walking track - I am sure they must all think I'm having a pee in the bush!! The same thing happened here!! TFTC
We were out for the day on a maintenance run and came to check on this due to the DNFs. The cache was just were it should be and all fine. Also we couldnt see any sign of the supposedly broken limb and the 2 DNFs have actually signed the log. All good here. Happy Caching
Had a good look for this one ,the tree that looks like the hide has a broken limb that may brought attention of muggles. Look forward to another walk to find
We had found the cache at the beach in 2005 so pulled in hoping to find the other 2 caches here on the way back to the motel. We decided to go for this one first which proved to be a mustake. When we got there we found neither of the two pens Mrs SoBad took with us worked. So a quick walk back to the car for a replacement and on the way back we passed 2 sets of people heading back to the carpark. If we had found the carpark cache first we would have realised the pens were useless and saved the extra wlak. Lovely aming the trees though.
Thanks.
Thanks.
We noted last time we were here that this logbook was abit damp so while we were out on the other side of the lake we came around here to remedy that. A new book was added and its All good to go here again . Happy Caching
I spent quite some time thinking about which was bigger, and just where my little arrow was trying to point me. Then at last I was signing the log. TFTC.
Stopped to do this lovely walk and find the caches. It is gorgeous thru here. Thanks for this cache Gracie7 + Mum.
Walked from lake mahinapua. The km along road wasn’t great but this bush makes it worthwhile. NINO TFTC
Thanks for putting out this cache for woolwood9 and I to find!
SL **tm/ww NZ** (may just be a black smudge on the many wet or plastic logs)
*We soon had another good cache located!*
This is a very nice track and we enjoyed the visit!

Second week of school holidays and off on a small family camper van holiday between kids football games & practices! West Coast here we come.
After another night in Hokitika. Up early again to catch reflections in Lake Mahinipua. Then on to this lovely walkway. Just as we arrived the two other cars in the wee carpark up and left (do we smell that bad?) leaving the whole area to noisy us. What a lovely walk! Mr12 found this cache in the likely spot. Thanks! We can hear the surf - beach getting close! Onwards!

We checked on this one while we were here replacing the missing cache at the carpark.
It was in the wrong position (not put back at the hint) and now the log is quite damp
Its still writable for now but we will replace it next time we happen to be passing.

I am on holiday with Nana and we headed off to Hokitika to have a picnic lunch with my cousins Lucas and Cyndel, after lunch we went on this walk to play on the beach. We were walking along the track and I saw this huge tree and I said to Nana "that would be a great tree to hide a cache" and Nana said to have a look and YAH I found a cache and signed the log and put it back. Thanks Aunty Grace for putting a cache were would have hidden one.
What an impressive tree. This was a good hide and took us ages and left us with dirty and wet hands. Thanks Gracie 7 for this cache.
Called here this afternoon, it took me ages to find this one. I had started searching in the right place but missed it - the coordinates weren’t all that accurate and by the look of all the trampled ground around nearby trees, I wasn’t the only person having problems. And I realised later that if I had had the photo it would have made things a lot easier! Found it at last in a spot I had already checked several times. Signed log, TFTC.
