Good spot loved the view stopped for lunch and enjoyed this one thank you
Staying at Happy Valley for 5 nights, and I decide to go get this cache on the morning we are checking out, and in the rain yuck... anyway, we had a thoroughly enjoyable stay here. Thanks for the cache and cheers from Browngang Swellerfungus.
Well that hike was a heart starter. Nice views from here. All dry inside. TFTC
Ive never been to Kgariso I was a little bit excited when Beardman75 suggested a weekend awayBeardman75, CaptainVimes, and Davinells all had valuable roles to play I was damsel in distressDavinells has already been here, so it was left to Beardman75 and I to make the its just a couple of hundred metres walk away from the food and shelter to make the find luckily there was something for everyone to admire on the walkThis was my first chance to see Eastern Beach tooAn awesome group of friends means I am able to claim this findThanks Swellerfungus Dingo Count - 0
After admiring the view on the way to GZ, we made a quick find. Thanks for the cache Swellerfungus

Another great day on K'gari and before settling in for a pub meal I thought I'd quickly grab this cache. Moving to it's location was fairly easy but once there I realised my phone had dropped out of my pocket.... and being past sunset it was getting dark quickly...... back tracking and thankfully I found it (a logical point in the walk where a phone might fall out).
Returned to the posted coordinates and using the phone torch I was able to locate and log the cache.
Thanks Swellerfungus.

A week on K'Gari with my two favourite girls - T4mmmy, and my new Pajero Sport named Missi. Both girls had a lot of fun, as did I this week. A few new caches for me since my last visit ... this was my first new find after a drive up the Northern road and coffee at Happy Valley. Very windy today, but no clear after an early morning shower wet the sand for us. A quick scrabble up the dune, and a chance to drink in the gorgeous views from GZ.
Thanks Swellerfungus for entertaining me at this location.

We were here - Joodie & Joodax
after work walk, wine and relax!
Swellerfungus tango yankee for the cache and yellow dandelion.
Today on Fraser Island was off-road. We rented a Toyota Hilux. They make really big money here. Pretty expensive rental and basic insurance 370 AUD (I sent them to hell with additional insurance), diesel 2x the price compared to inland. Additional 65 AUD for extra equipment (tire pressure gauge and relatively rusty jack). After almost an hour of training, which we didn't really need, I had already driven something on the sand. Otherwise, no winch, recovery belts, shovels, nothing. After all, it is not even necessary, the paths are designed for beginners and pregnant women. Half the island is reportedly closed to cars. So open from 8:00 a.m. (at 8:10 the service was already there), delivery at about 8:50 a.m. Return by 16:00, then the service closes. To be clear, I'm not criticizing, I'm keeping an information trail here.
The island is quite nice and those who haven't experienced off-roading will get a total adrenaline rush here if they get behind the wheel. Lake McKenzie is fantastic and the fresh water gives you an experience you can't find in Aruba or anywhere else. Everything else we've seen is relatively ballast.
What is interesting is that it is mentioned everywhere that it is environmentally friendly, but in reality hundreds of off-road diesel vehicles roam the island every day, whose catalytic converters I dare to at least doubt. Business first. It seems pretty hypocritical to me, but we rode this wave, caught a few caches, and took some commemorative photos.
I went up to the cache alone. Joodie is full of fear of spiders and snakes. The cache is in the roots of the tree and is really easy to find. There is a beautiful view from here and there is a beautifully shaped rock rock down on the beach.

Vrátit do 16:00, pak už obsluha zavírá.

Great little view. I defs approached from the wrong direction climbing up from the south end and hoping over fallen trees. Much easier route down. All is dry and well in the cache.
Thanks for the Cache from Brisbane, Australia.
Thanks for the Cache from Brisbane, Australia.
Searched again and no luck so replaced it with CO approval with a 200ml pill bottle. The view is outstanding and well worth the short scramble up.
Nope. Looked hi and low. Found a likely looking attachment wire but no cache today.
What an amazing view....
I am visiting Fraser for the third time and loving every minute of it. The weather has been average thou the the hospitality and friendliness of the queenslanders is second to none.

Scrambled up to the top of this rise and enjoyed the view in all directions - then made a quick find. This is a beautiful part of the island and part of a great day. Thank you
I was extremely fortunate to be able to celebrate Jefftacular, my milestone birthday, with a week long stay at Orchid Beach on Fraser Island, in the company of good friends and family.
Today was a day of driving to visit some of the more scenic locations around the island including Lake McKenzie. On the way we passed close by this cache and stopped in for a visit. The legs got a bit of a work out on the scramble up the hillside to the cache location, but the views on offer were certainly worth the effort. Cache found safe and well, and replaced ready for the next finder. TFTC

After driving right past this cache a couple of times, we did a U-turn and found a good parking spot 80m from the cache. A reasonable easy walk up a hill and an easy find makes this a quick cache, except that we stayed for some time to admire the view. Thanks for placing this cache.
Been really tall did not help with this one. Totally ignored all my geocaching instincts but it’s right where it should be.
Fraser Island and the surrounding beachside locations have been on my bucket list for many years so I jumped at the chance when charmad asked me to join him and Triple Turmoil on a 4WD camping trip on the Anzac Day long weekend. This was an awesome adventure with great weather, lots of laughter with many a joke and story telling, sleeping under the stars, spotting six dingoes and many beautiful birds that I've never seen before. I was amazed at the amount of lakes we visited, all very different but such a pleasure to see them.
Second visit here after a long fruitless search yesterday but with PAF's to the CO is was confirmed missing again and approval was kindly given to replace with a smaller tethered bison at GZ in order to keep this old cache alive. Lovely views from this location and a great spot to watch the sunrise or sunset.

I have never had the opportunity to visit Fraser Island. Chamad wanted an adventure. A road trip and I am super grateful that he took me along. We had a 3 day road trip, on Fraser Island, Double Island Point and Rainbow beach, plus a detour on the way home to Brisbane through Gympie, Boreen Point and Noosa. Snickersallen joined us too and it was great to meet someone new, especially someone fun to cache with. So many laughs, frustrations and more laughs. Lots achieved. Some road blocks preventing some wanted achievements, but we enjoyed ourselves anyway. This was day 2 of our adventure.
Even with help from the CO, we could not find the very big, very obvious cache that was recently replaced by a non-geocaching friend. So the CO was grateful that we could replace it with the knowledge that it is near GZ. Love knowing that we have kept old and important geocaches alive.

A three day camping road trip with Snickersallan, Triple turmoil and myself was organised to see Fraser Island, Rainbow Beach and Double island point. What a fantastic time we had; driving around enjoying the scenery, bush walks, visiting lakes, lunch and dinners on the beach, and a great camp site at Dundubara. The trip was full of laughs and great companionship, thank you.
Continuing our drive north we came to this one, after spending 45 minutes here looking we came up with a DNF. This made us late for our crossing further north and we had to camp on the beach and have dinner while we waited for the tide to go back out.
While we waited we contacted the CO who gave us more information on the cache hide. Today we came back and expanded our search and still found nothing. With the CO’s permission we replaced a small bison at GZ suitable for the continuation of this cache. It is tethered to the location in an attempt to make sure it stays put, thanks for placing this one here.

THIS CACHE WAS WAS INDEED BURNT BY THE FIRES, AND WAS REPLACED TODAY, AND IS NOWREADY TO BE FOUND.
This cache may have perished in the fires. Hubby went up for a look but couldn’t find anything amongst the black charred remains.
Easy climb up to the cache location, depending which path you choose. Great view!
The climb was OK, but the bastard March fly that wouldn’t leave me alone was something else. The view is definitely worth the effort!!
Just finished the great walk, 75kms in 6 days. We had time to spare before getting the taxi back down the beach so I left the boots on a trudged along the sand. Climbed up the hill and searched for the cache. Had a bit of trouble getting it out of the tree roots but finally managed to dislodge it and added our name to the cache. Enjoyed the view before heading back. Tftc
another gorgeous day on Fraser island. The cache was hard to remove due to the inactivity of nine months and the growing tree roots. All good.

This is our last day on Fraser island and the only day hubby let me drive, I drove from Eli creek, the first time ever I have driven on the beach and in soft sand, whoo hoo had a blast

Last day on the island. Thought we'd Catch some Geo's before we leave. Found with gpander. Good little climb!!
We hired a pink Landcruiser (named 'Arnie') to explore Fraser Island up to the pinnacles. Lots of sand, bumpy roads with deep tracks and a 'highway' on the beach. Nice viewings, an amazing rainforest on the dune with a gorgeous lake in the middle. Lovely day full of fun.

Goodness what a trek we had getting to this one. Perhaps it was the heavy cloud cover messing with the GPSr? It was pointing 'over there' then 'back there'. Well, we finally found your cache we're pleased to say. A great view of the coastline here too!
All is well with the cache Swellerfungus. Thanks for placing it and adding more fun to our day.

Besten Dank!

Another great trip on the Island. Thanks Swellerfungus for the placement and the climb for a different view point.
Found at 9:09 AM GAFF1in the company of nana nel and wazza9..
We see this little hill all the time and it was now time to actually get up there. Surprisingly high and what a view. Saw a little memorial with a solar lamp - not sure that it works anymore though.
Thanks Swellerfungus.

A bush bash up the hill, after finding the cache found another track. Signed log and replaced. Thanks to Swellerfungus.
TFTC,
Today was day 3 on the Island and in the company of Nana nel and pprass we headed out to get some of the inland and west coast caches. 6 in total.
As usual I went the wrong way and made it twice as hard as it should be. Followed the track out.
Visited trackables.

I’m spending a week here on Fraser Island with Swellerfungus . I haven’t found this cache as yet despite being on the island when it was hidden. I figured I’d be here many more times, no hurry. Today we are off to the other side of the island to check on another cache so it was a perfect opportunity to find this one and see the view Swellerfungus raves about. It is beautiful and being up high gives another dimension. “What a cracker view” I also love the Pandanus trees up here.
Signed log, left trackable and rehidden.

Not sure why it didn't log via the app. Shows on my map that I found it but can't see the log or edit it or find it in main site so logging again.
