Logs
Arrived at gz only to realise I was unprepared. Fortunately some of the nearby rubbish came in handy and I was soon signing the log. Eureka! Tftc
My buddies: Me, Myself and I Things we do for caching! Such as emptying my drink bottle just to fill a cache so that I could get to the logbook I love this kind of Geocaching FPThank you abl973, for creating, placing and maintaining this cache. I have enjoyed finding it and visiting this spot.Follow my story on Instagram @AlphaDeltaIndigo

Out and about with My good caching mate Omegaman1971, there are always plenty of laughs while we are turning caches into smiles. This is one of the caches found today. Thankfully we carry a supply for these type of caches. Thanks abl973 for the cache.
I had been to a morning Event held in Werribee... and when it ended, I set off for my day's caching in the Wyndham LGA... yeah, I am working on a couple of LGA challenges and I needed caches in this area. From the cache name and description I had a pretty good idea of what I was going to need to do... so I made my way here hoping that I would be able to pull it off. Armed with a suitable container... or so I thought... I made my way to the cache optimistic that, after all the recent rain, I would find a suitable water source. Yep, although it was a bit mucky, there was plenty of water so I carefully filled my container. Back to the cache... and an unexpected problem. My container wasn't big enough... I couldn't quite get the cache. Not only that, by the time I went and got more water the first lot had drained away... With a bit of local improvisation I was able to slow the discharge rate enough that after a couple of trips I had the cache in hand. Thanks **abl973** for a good fun cache...
Nice quick find, didnt read anything before we came but thankfully had what we needed in the car. Tftc
I had a spare 30mins up my sleeve before work so decided to target a few caches on my way.Looks like this place is used as a local dumping site which is disappointing. I came prepared to retrieve the cache and then spent a few minutes cleaning around GZ.Cache is in good condition!! Thanks for the hide
Love this style of cache. We were complaining about the rubbish left around till we realised some of it came in handy lol. Thanks abl973 for placing this cache and contributing to this great game. Happy trails, Deanside
Out for a few hours with Deanside, started on this trail and then went further afield. Another day of sunshine, good finds and lots of laughs. Knew what we needed to do and got there quite quickly. Thanks for a fun hide.
Easy fun find, with suggested hydration required. Cache log was a little damp. Nicely avian biodiverse: David
My second cache involving water today. Fortunately this cache was much easier than the other water cache done earlier on, where we mucked around for quite a while trying to get the cache around a corner in the pipe. This one bobbed up immediately. Excellent.

I had a free day, and SueHut was working in Werribee. I took the chance for a free ride, then biked it to Point Cook and back.
Once more, I rashly rushed in without reading the cache description. Oh crap, it's one of those. Luckily, someone left a couple of TOTT nearby to facilitate. I had already picked up over a hundred items of rubbish getting here, and nearly "cleaned up" those TOTTs. Luckily, I restrained myself to the 40-odd other items lying around.
Thanks heaps for the cache, abl973!

Looks like the old Maccas cup came in handy after all! Poor spider didn't like being flushed out. Thanks for the fun cache with the kids.
Science! Awesome cache to find. Probably not a great idea to do this at night as the wildlife wanted to eat me/drink me. The little tree nuts became a nuisance to retrieve the cache and several hard taps were required to loosen the cache. Still one of my favourites TFTC
Out on the bike on an overcast Sunday morning before work to find a few caches.
I knew what I would find here, and came suitably equipped.
The container was soon in hand and signed.
Lid nice and tight so logbook is dry. Often this type can be a little damp.

A quick find and we knew what we needed to do. Plenty to make the logbook appear just nearby.

The second out of 13 caches we have planned to visit today and a nice quick find for us! A first for both maddydempsey_ and I of this type of cache and we were both very excited! We already knew what needed to be done and there were some helpful items nearby. TFTC

Out on my own today on the way home from visiting my sister. Love the style of these caches - plenty of things around to make it happen. I needed my feet washed anyway. Thanks for the Cache abl1973
Our first of this kind! Very fun!!! TFTC Hoodedhooligans (H.H.) 17 December 2020 6:44 pm #383
My first cache of this sort, so this was a real treat. Everything still intact. TFTC!

Today Fleabag- wanted to find his 6,000th cache with me before he headed off on a work trip so a lofty goal of 74 caches was needed but we got there even though 3 caches into the day the low pressure tyre warning flashed up on the dashboard and we had a slow leaking flat tyre. We mucked around for way too long trying to work out how to change it. It was on the drivers side too ... the wheel that wasn't pulling off onto the side of the road all the time?? I haven't had a flat tyre for probably 20+ years and RACV changed that last one. So for the rest of the day the paranoia of having another flat was hanging over my head and occasionally with the non alloy spare wheel the tyre pressure sensor failure message starting coming up on the dashboard instead. We made it though without another flat on a LOT of gravel roads that Fleabag- managed to keep finding.
Our 2nd water cache for the day. Luckily some containers were nearby so it was a nice simple retrieve.
Thanks abl973 for the cache, the adventure, the hunt and the fun.

Started the day needing 74 more for my 6000. And my awesome geobuddy was the person I wanted to share this with. The cache is not that important, it's the adventure. So off we went heading north with a mission. And probably lots of maccas.
Had not prepared for this but luckily the nearby area provided what was needed.
Thanks to abl973 for the placement and fun.

The little bunny was a keen helper here seeing physics in action. We had enough to do it twice! A quiet little spot to tuck away a cache. TFTC.
My 1st Premium! Omg that was fun and an awesome puzzle haha!!! Good as concept ♡
A find early in the morning on the way to work. Get to GZ, ahhh jeeez not one of these! So I thought there would have to be a kids water bottle in the car...no dice! So it was a scurry for littered cans and bottles...and only juuuust enough to get the prize to rise to the top. tftc
Found with georocks101. We were well prepared for this one so it was a nice and easy retrieval for us. I really like this type of cache and the surrounding wetlands are lovely. Thanks abl973
Cool cache! Found with JelenaGreenleaf, love this concept ! Probably could use a lid though. Tftc
Always enjoy these ones, and thanks to whoever left a mostly working container, T4TC
This is a fun and interesting cache, probably should have brought a receptacle, but got there in the end. Everything in good order, SL, TFTC abl973!
Decided to collect a few more clues, jewels etc. for The Mystery at the Museum challenge. This was just what I was expecting here at the wet lands.
Thanks for placing this cache for me to do that ab1973

Today I decided to make to trip to Lara to join in on the clean up but after that was done before heading home I decided to find some more caches in the area.
I was well on my way home now and the freeway was running very slow with the air show traffic and I noticed this one on the map and it met the criteria for today with a T2 or higher rating so I made a detour so that I could have a look.
I was nearly at GZ when I realised that I needed a special tool to retrieve this one but lucky for me there was plenty of that very close by and there are even a couple of vessels at the cache that would transport the special tool that is needed, the job was done and the log was signed.

This is the easiest of this type of cache I have ever done. I was able to do it alone! I love this type of cache and will often go out of my way to find one. I had no inkling that this was here and was very surprised. Perhaps I should have read the cache page, but who does that when it’s late in the day and you’re desperate for caches? Luckily all I required was at hand and ready to go. I was also able to grab the cache from its hiding place and juggle everything else. Thanks for a fabulous cache. It deserves a favourite point.
I was also interested in the location. It would be interesting to have more information on the land that is protected next door.

Were we prepared for this cache? Pfft, no. BoatieTim and I had a discussion about who was ultimately responsible for us not being prepared to complete this cache. I admit, I saw a green dot on my map and put it on the list for today. BoatieTim had actually read the cache description previously, however failed to mention we needed a tool. Who is more to blame? Me for not reading the description first? Or BoatieTim for not remembering we needed something? I vote BoatieTim, lol! Lucky we were able to improvise, and the cache was signed before AliFs noticed fresh little baby birds being fed rotting fish by their parents. Gross, but soooo cute! They really were adorable little bundles of fluffy feathers. No wonder the parents freaked out upon our arrival.

Out with AliFs and xsurfergirlx doing a few in this area today.
I've done the one nearby ages ago and today it was a great day to do a few more around this area.
Good cache similar to mine. Lol.
Nice and quick to get the container out haha.

Found at the end of a bike ride in stages... I converged with the test of the family at a niece's birthday party, via a lovely ride down the Moonee Ponds Creek, where I came upon DADDYKOOL standing on the trail with his phone out, right near where I knew one of the Parkville zoo animals resided. Cue the traditional greeting: "Have you found it?"
This turned into a long conversation... totally worth the lateness this caused at the other end. Welcome to Melbourne, mate.
So... Two trains and a hurtle along the Werribee River into the twilight later, I had built up the appetite necessary for a classic Filipino spread of epic proportions. Then, after the celebration, the return journey; this time on the trails in the dark to William's Landing, with a slight detour to this clever hide.
Obviously, I had the necessary tools attached to the bike, and, fortunately, not too many fingers were needed.
I love these, abl973. Thanks for the fun stop. Now I just need to catch the next train to get home by midnight.

What a great cache. Enjoyed going for a walk on my lunch break. First cache I have done in this type of set up. Thanks for placing this cache. Nice little wetland area. Videoed the cache retrieval looking forward to showing my cub scout pack this video on our upcoming geocache night.

Crack’n’LeeLee and I were in the area to pick up a mystery cache for our monthly challenge and decided to swing past here afterwards. As such, we hadnt prepared but fortunately I had something with me that helped. A quick extraction, signing duties completed and we were on our way. Relatively muggle free due to the windy conditions, only people around were a couple of council muggles on their lunch break from mowing lawns. Thanks for the fun find.
Eureka. We found it. With +Wife.
It's thirsty work this geocaching caper.
Well played abl973. [^]

School holidays, oh the joy but in saying this this area was mostly muggle free for our search today. We were just surprised how many cars were going past. The geo kiddies enjoyed this one with both helping to get the end result of what we wanted - the cache. Nice effort on one we have done a few times now. Nice spot also tucked away - except for the rubbish that people leave behind - we did get to see a few ducks here

Another fun Cache with the kids. We love learning, exploring and having fun and appreciate the cache and effort you have gone to. Favourite point from us!
Found on our way home from Hoppers Crossing. Knew what we'd be looking for and had just purchased a suitable item for such activities. A was going to hide it nearby for the next cacher to use but discovered that wasn't necessary. TFTC
But, did Archimedes experiment with a leaky bucket ?
"Any cacher, wholly or partially interested in stats, is compelled to leave home to make a find by a force equal to his need to make a find for the day." I'm no Archimedes or Einstein. And not much of a cacher either, as although I had taken sufficient material from home to retrieve the container I wasn't observant enough at GZ. So my efforts went down the drain, so to speak.
I then reloaded from nearby and made sure not to make the same mistake twice.
Thanks, abl973 - great choice of location which is secluded enough from the nearby residences to make it fun.

I came prepared and was soon on the hunt.

I signed it and was on my way.

After spending the last 2 days celebrating and eating way too much with family, today was a rest day and a chance to go for a walk and find a few caches on the way.
I was in the area to find one near the station and as I had the required tools with me I came looking for this one.
This is a nice area for a cache and is out of the way to make for an easy find.
It is always fun to do a cache like this and to remember what goes in must come back out.
Thanks abl973 TFTC.

This hide ticked all the boxes. A location out of view of nearby locals, a clever hide, one that worked very well and a finely designed cache page. I liked the simplicity yet that it meant that I quickly had the container in hand. Even though I had come prepared there was a nearby backup source, which is always handy for containers like these.
Thanks to Mr abl973 for placing this cache.

After having spent the afternoon on the bike around Point Cook I decided that I would go further afield on my way home.
I happened to have the required tool in the boot of the car. A quick find. TFTC.

I had come prepared and found the cache hide quckly. Despite the noise of birds trying to distract me, I did the deed and was soon signing the log book.
Other than Eagle Rock, this is my closest unfound to home. Time to remedy that today. Nicely constructed and executed cache and page. No trouble nabbing this one - Eureka we found it! TFTC
I could see by the attributes and description that I would need a tool or two here. I checked out a local rubbish bin and found a container that saw a former life as a bong so I thought that would do nicely and so it did.
Plenty of the wet stuff nearby too.
Thanks abl973

A nice quick dash out this afternoon to grab a cache and a great little idea here. I had an idea what this might be when reading the page and was spot on. A nice little wetland area and some birds around which was nice. A great idea and well placed cache. TFTC
A nicely hidden cache in a cool spot. Brought my tools with me and had the cache quickly. Very nice. TFTC.
Arriving and seeing what was in front of me, I quickly worked out what needed to be done, based on my experience with a similar cache in Altona. It was not long before the logbook was in hand. A nice idea very well executed. Thanks for the cache!
