On our travels we found ourselves camping at Broadwater and took the opportunity to do this series, a little bit of a walk but a nice hide, thanks for placing it
Out and about today exploring Muttaburra with Grannan55 and Geodogs. Thank you for placing this cache here for me to find. All good here. Now, onto the next one for the day. TFTC
Actually found 2 containers, not sure which one is the real one. Both put back in cache location. TFTC with Slack1962
Ok they are all starting to blend into memory now enjoying this series, though the camping attributes in September is part of the attraction today, thanks for the cache.

Tftc, took a drive out to Muttaburra today to do the series of caches on the way, some in town , and loop back. All were in great condition. Enjoyed our day , reached 41 degrees, which we found to be quite hot.
Today is going to be another big and long day with a bunch of caches to grab on the way to the event in Muttaburra. Then grab a few around Muttaburra township, before heading back to town for more caches and then another event. Oh today also starts with a breakfast event at the showgrounds. The breakfast was good and the fruit platter was a very nice add on. While loading the info into the phone it was great to sit around and chat on peoples thoughts for the day. With the team gathered it was then off to make a mark on some log books. We signed the logs as Misfits and saw a nice variety of caches, with size and terrain not an issue. We all worked well as a team and it was a good practice run for the main event in a couple of days. After lunch and the run around Muttaburra town, we headed back to Longreach via these caches and puzzle caches. Thanks for the placements and the time in putting this all together.
Its ON, its Muster Day.We teamed up with JACS Team, Gcoven and Chamad for an action packed day. With papers in hand we made a mad dash around Muttaburra and the surrounding area grabbing a variety of caches along the way. What a crazy day! Thanks for bringing us here.#4018 - TFTC
Found It!Another little walk, it's so hot for walking out here today!TFTC
QOGM 2023 Longreach Day 21. Longreach Day 4. Muttaburra Muster day trip. Fitzy_1965 and Albida33 are on our trip in early spring to Longreach. With the whole team in town, we settled into two cars to make the journey to Muttaburra for lunch and caching along both roads there and back. The Team signed CC2 and was made up of Gliss!, NibletRiceCakes, Contesta, Cosmonaut97, Fitzy_1965, albida33 and Lilly the dog. First up was the amazing breakfast at the Showgrounds and then we were off. We managed to find everything we were able to look for today and get a feed at the amazing pub in town. I was happy to be able to visit the Holloway caches I missed last time. We even made it back to Longreach in good time to get a few non caching things done before the evening event. Plenty more great discussions and a fun long night before heading home to rest a bit before heading out again tomorrow. I have no idea how I missed this last year, but I am happy to have it signed now. Thanks for the cache Liz and Bruce44372.19 TNLNVisited: World Traveling Gold GC A#6 & 2018 February Wendigo A#372**Albida**
Had an amazing time at the last QOGM event in Longreach. I feel honoured to be one of only a handful of cachers who has attended all five, although it does concern me that now I will have to plan my own September school holiday fun. This year I travelled up with Gcoven and we scooted along the bottom LGAs for her to collect and I was able to pick up the odd one here and there untilWe hit brand newies on offer in Longreach. During the course of the formal QOGM days we travelled and cached with chamad and Nathan & Alyce as part of our team signing under the collective name of Misfits. Along the way we had plenty of laughs and enjoyed hanging out with each other through the official social events and our own - generally at The Wellshot or at the Longreach Bakery. With the couple of quieter days on the agenda it allowed us time to get everything we wanted in town and even head further afield to Winton with feeling rushed at any point. It was great catching up with everyone some whom I had not seen since Barcaldine and of course the more regular cachers from home. Quite the turn out indeed. Thanks to the efforts of the QOGM team and Jimmy Project for helping to bring this all together.
33,133. Attended during our Queensland Outback GeoMuster (QOGM) 2023 Longreach Adventure - a 33 day epic tour of Northern NSW and Outback Queensland finding many caches, attending great events and catching up with awesome Cachers along the way.Queensland Outback GeoMuster (QOGM) 2023 Longreach Adventure Day 21. Today our group attended the breakfast event, then headed up to Muttaburra and back collecting many caches including quite a few as yet unpublished ones. The Multis and Wherigos kept us on our toes for sure. A fun day and tiring day. After a yummy breakfast we hit the road. This was the next cache of the day. Quickly found once at GZ. Signed as CC2 today (GLISS!, Nibletricecakes, Contesta, Cosmonaut97, albida33 and myself - with a special guest appearance by Lily the GeoDog). Replaced the cache as found, then we continued on our journey. Thanks to all the COs who put out these caches !!
Found on a trip with e.gregory1 traveling through western New South Wales and central Queensland to attend the QOGM at Longreach. After QOGM I made my way to Brisbane for a few days before a return drive back to Adelaide via the north coast of NSW, central NSW and the Riverlands. Headed out today with Davidwazza, e.gregory1 and Laighside Legends to complete a loop from Longreach to Muttaburra and return. Thanks for the cache Liz and Bruce!
Found during QOGM 2023. Signed as Cc2. It's a pity QOGM is no longer a thing, but the caches will make sure people come to this area. TFTC.
Attending the final QOGM with BenM70 this week and looking to turn solved puzzles and anything else we pass by into smilies. After lunch we grabbed these before completing the PM Flights muster. All found in good condition. Most logs signed TSV 1 or B78 and BM70. Thanks Liz and Bruce for organising this and bringing a large group to the region. Well done to all over the past 5 years.
JACS and I had hatched a plan a while back to book leave for a road trip out west and to attend the last QOGM.. battery issues after the children were out playing in the dead of the night but we are away in mini muster day! Another fab day for the MisFits! .
After lunch in Muttaburra with fellow geocachers, we headed down by the river to do the Broadwater series. TFTC Liz and Bruce

Great Northern escape 2022 Day 143. Barcaldine Day 2. Today's trip was to Muttabu5rra. It is over 150km so I headed off early. It was a nice drive and there was plenty of caching to do around town and along the nearby river. I ran into Domsky at a key point of the day, it is great to meet up with people in the wild. It was a long hot day, but I enjoyed myself and came home to Barcaldine in time to cook dinner and flop into bed before going out again tomorrow.
After the town caches, I headed out to Broadwater to try this series. Plenty of very spiky plants and grasses to be traversed at some of them, and of course the two I had to walk furthest too, I failed t find.
Thanks.

Did a bit of a maintenance run as required here. A new lid here and replaced a container where there was a couple of DNF's, there was only one spot it could have been and I am sure the CO would not mind me fixing it up.

Staying in Muttaburra, I saw this trail of caches close by so a trip to the Broadwater was organised. I was amazed at the number of people camping out here, You can really get away from the hustle and bustle camping by the river. A beautiful place. All the caches were not difficult to find apart from two DNFs
Thank you for the cache.
I've camped the Broadwater for many years. Very quiet this year because of Covid-19. Easy find

It being a new day it was decided to make our way out to the little town of Muttaburra wile doing the caching guided tour well not necessary guided but using the various caches to get us around the area.
We arrived at the GZ and soon found the container and after caring out the necessary requirements we returned the cache to the location it was found.
Thanks Liz and Bruce for this cache you placed in this series and RoddyC and Robbokerry for looking after it for them.

Hi there Liz and Bruce.
The QOGM event is over, and as we hadn't driven up to Muttaburra during the weekend, we decided that today would be a good day for a drive.
We had some GPS troubles, so we had to resort to "paper" logging and iPhone navigation for a while - so the caches won't always be logged in their correct order.
We thoroughly enjoyed today's adventure. Thanks for placing the cache for our enjoyment.
Regards
Ian & Penny.

Over the years, geocaching has taken me on many adventures, including interesting destinations all over my home continent of Australia and many overseas as well. It has also introduced me to a diverse group of like-minded caching tragics, many of whom I now call close friends.
Today, I was lucky enough to be out and about searching for caches, something I do on almost a daily basis. This was one cache that was targeted and found.
Sorry for the late and generic log, something I am notorious for. Thank you Liz and Brucefor adding to the adventure that is geocaching.

Exploring the area with The Tritonz, Micaparamedic and Geoturtle37 today. We had a great time exploring here and were surprised to see as much water as there was. Thanks for the caches and showing us this area.
Before heading out of town we attacked the Broadwater series with micaparamedic, Geoturtle37 & Papi4506. The various hides were located without any dramas apart from the cows at GZ of no. 13. Apparently the tree shade was the attraction for them not the cache lol Even though the water levels were down in the river the bird life was plentiful and we got to see a brolga.
Thanks Liz and Bruce for the series .

Selva Girls and I were travelling north from Barcaldine today, to visit Muttaburra and all its caches before heading to Longreach for the night. We thoroughly enjoyed the places our caching took us today, taking in history, scenery and art. Thanks for bringing us here, and tftc!

If I was to walk today, I needed to get out early so I set off before breakfast and headed north along the track. It was very pleasant and my search for smilies was successful. This was one of them. Thanks to all the COs involved in placing and maintaining these caches. Signed log as SG. TNLN SL as SG in some of them. I also think that I may have used the wrong date.
Travelling through Central Queensland from Barcaldine through to Muttaburra. Caching along the way in the company of Roostaman. We had an enjoyable time caching with them. Great little series along here. Enjoyed the varied hides and cache containers. Thanks Liz and Bruce for placing and the local geocachers for maintaining these caches for our enjoyment.

TFTC. We had been in Muttaburra a few days ago and left some caches I found. We decided that another trip from at a.dime was warranted to attempt to clear the map. We had a successful day , completing all the aches along the Broadwater. All cacheswere fou dwithout too much difficulty. Did not realise that camping was available in the area. Thanks to all the COs.
Second day in the Muttaburra area clearing the map for now. Even headed down to Aramac for a mini meetup with RoddyC and youongoldfella with a milestone of 19000 finds as well. TFTC.
I enjoyed this series - an interesting area, especially the birdlife, and s great place to camp. Thanks Liz and Bruce for the cache.
