Found on a days caching with SueDan83 and Meritonnn. The three of us made a methodical search of the structure.I found nothing. Dan found a huntsman. Meritonnn found the cache (up not down).SL TFTC
Quick find, and yes it was high again. After the big hike most of the party were going to clean up and rest before the event tonight. Search4 and I were keen to get in some more caching beforehand (who needs cleaning up when you can cache a bit more) We soon ran into TikvaNZ and joined for a couple of caches. Before doing that one last cache on the way to the event in Bowral. Today:TikvaNZ had suggested a big hike at Mt Jellore and many of our Canberran caching fellows picked up the call. 12 of us set out to attempt a rather tough hike going by the T ratings and logs some of the caches we had planed on the off track return hike sounded daunting. After an easy start on the hiking track to Mt. Jellore we eventually had to go steep down and steep back up again, ropes and all on this official track. Didn't expect that but it was fun. A bit more up and down and after 2 hours and 45 minutes we reached the sattle of the mountain. An impressive looking hill. After all that and a lunch break we were facing the off track bit down the steep side of this hill. The big green grassland we could see at the very bottom looked awefully deep below us. But everyone was up for it and off we went. After some steep clambering we struck a lucky vain and found a path under construction which is clearly leading up the hill and will connect with the path on top some time soon. Very nice. We found the cache nearby and now headed on path over the river and up the other side again a very feasible route without any fences or bad terrain (other than the uphill walking). Soon we had the last cache in hand and now trying to complete the loop wer were aiming for the crossing we could see on the map. Staying high for as long as sensible we soon arrived with minimal bush bashing the crossing with the path on the other side leading straight back tot he cars. Albite after a long slow uphill walk give everyones tired feet. Wow I think we navigatet this off-track loop really well and were lucky on top of it. A feeling of achievement after this 6.5h 11km track with 500m of altitute gain. A big shout out to Tikva for suggesting and planing it all. And to all on the hike, what a great sucess, everyone made it! Thank you HappyUke for putting the cache out, maintaining it and contributing to this great hobby we have. Happy trails, Flintstone's
Not as long of a search that we thought we would have had here signed log and returned Thanks HappyUke for placing this cache GC75K6V
Thankfully today was a better weather day for caching with ilook4geo. We are still hunting around the many caches available in the Mittagong area. This one was tricky and a nano as well.Oh no! Not another nano! Should we bother looking or not? Grrr. Mutter, mutter.Managed to locate it and sign the replacement log. Thanks for the hide go to HappyUke.
Cooler today, so more caching was on the program with goingplaces2. Found a good mixture. Not another of Freddo's hated containers - a b!@#$% nano. Pleased we found the rotten blighter anyway.A cache is a cache, so TFTC.
Oh theres one just hereMay as well stopfamous last words and the unhappy feeling of a DNF! onwards and upwards

There was a sigh that it had just been painted so we think the painters moved it ?

Spent some time in and around the bus stop but no luck. The coordinates actually pointed towards the fence, but judging by previous logs it seems that it should be in the bus stop itself.
I had no luck here but on reflection (and a glance at the photos) maybe I should have widened my search.
Quick find near a busy road! Signed the tiny log and got back in the car.

Agree with the CO – yep it’s still there. A nice place to take shelter from the mist and fog around today. TFTC
DNF at 16:19
Isn't it funny that, when you have finished caching for the day but decide to do just one more cache, that one turns out to be a DNF? Well, that's what happened here. I was probably suffering from cache-blindness, but it was just too tricky for me today.
Maybe next time.
Thanks HappyUke for the cache, anyway

You are looking for something really small... size of the top of your pinky digit and it’s magnetic.
Happy caching

Touring around the southern highlands and we thought we’d do some geocaching. I always love the different places this takes us. Thanks.
We have travelled from Sydney’s Northern Beaches to the NSW Southern Highlands for a short midweek caching holiday, staying in a park cabin at the Mittagong Caravan Park at Emu Plains, and are planning to explore the areas around Mittagong, Bowral, Mount Gibraltar, and Box Vale. Hoping to collect a variety of cache types, including some Earthcaches and Wherigos and previously solved Puzzle caches, and to also complete some of the Adventure Labs in the area. This was our 21st find of the day (day 4), and 83rd find of the holiday.
After spending the day doing the Box Vale Walking Track, and sadly ending the walk with a DNF, we stopped off here for a nice quick "park & grab" on our way back to the caravan park. TNLNSL, and then replaced as found. TFTC HappyUke.

Heading home from the outlaws place - driving by myself and had the time so a few caches were targeted on the way him. A few in Sydney then various spots along the Hume Highway - all caches searched for found so have to be happy with that.
Heading back to the Hume so had a quick look at available options. This looked a good option - a nano in a bus shelter what could go wrong? Other logs seemed to indicate not too hard so why not give it a crack. Stopped and had a look - first high and then down on creaky hands and knees and thankfully there it was clear as day. Log signed and replaced as found.
TFTC HappyUke- got a few of yours today

Youngest son flattened his car battery... so while taking his car for a spin to recharge it give this one a quick check... yep the nano is still there!

Think someone has taken it because we searched everywhere. Literally everywhere !!!!!!!
A quick early morning grab before setting off home. TFTC HappyUke. Think it was probably at the right height!
Stopped to get a few caches despite hating caching in summer. We had more trouble getting the log out than spotting it. TFTC
Away to have a short break and to find some puzzles we have solved. Stopped here to gather the information to solve the last bus stop puzzle. TFTFC
I looked down and the cache was there. I replaced it in the same spot. I signed GW. TFTC HappyUke.
I've used to walk across the street to this bus stop for years. This time I had a another reason to come back
1 September 2019 @ 3:40 pm. FINALLY!! Came to officially sign the log for another smilie. Found your awesome cache while OCW *Throsbyonchurch* and *Little Kitten*. Thanks *HappyUke* for a great hide and adding to a fun day. Mum decided to head out for a drive seeing as it was such a glorious afternoon. With some expenses coming up this week she decided not to head out of town but enjoy a nice drive signing logs in caches I have not yet signed - all official now.

An excellent hide and one of the few bus-related caches I've ever actually managed to find.
Thank you HappyUke!
Thank you HappyUke!
The journey to the mega resulted in a lot of driving, with a few select cache finds, due to the distance I had to travel. If only there was time to find them all! Once at “The Gong” as there are so many caches, yet again, sadly, only some could be attempted. Today, Crank1 and I spent a fair time looking at bus stops, waving on a few bus drivers. Or maybe it was the same one, who thought we were mad??? Thanks for placing the cache HappyUke
Found by Mary and David at 14:10. More than 60 years ago, M used to catch a school bus in country Victoria at 0700 to get to secondary school. A very long day, but the was a swot and did all her homework and reading done on the bus home. Long before mobile phones, if the bus was late, parents would ring other families along the route to see where it had been in case the bus had gotten into difficulties. Our thanks to HappyUke.
Left Port Macquarie heading south to the Mega event At Canberra.
Our 4th stop on the way staying at the Mossvale Showgrounds.
Headed north to Mittagong so Hubby could do a bike ride & I walked the streets of town before meeting up again to find some other. This was a great way to visit the area,
The last of the 4 bus stop caches found.

Out with TARDIS 0061 for a Southern Highlands cache run with the main aim of finding some mystery caches that we have been working on recently. Whilst we where out in the feild we also took the opportunity of grabbing a few other cache types as we passed. With the cache in hand, we signed the log before replacing as found. Thanks for the cache HappyUke.

Visiting some friends in Moss Vale I decided to take advantage of the trip by finding some caches on the way there. Grabbed the 4 Bus Stops Here prerequisites in the hope that I would have time to solve the puzzle that night (but it never happened).
I'm getting the feeling that the buses don't run very regularly - well at least not on the weekend. Another where I could search in peace.

**This Cache:**
Well I parked a little bit too close to this bus stop, which is right outside some sort of property. The owner wasn't very happy with me and while I was sitting in the bus stop signing the log he came around the corner and asked me why I parked so close and if I needed help! Oops! My bad So after he left I quickly returned the cache and drove off quickly! He didn't see my retrieve or place the cache back thankfully as the bus stop was a good cover!
---
**The Day:**
Day 2 of an extended weekend caching trip, and a family member's 50th up in Sydney!
Started off a bit later today given that I was already at my destination and had a good rest the night before. Today consisted off cleaning up the remaining puzzles, highly favourited caches and golden oldies in the area. As well as all the other traditional caches I came across along the way! Another successful day of caching, with 51 cache finds all up!
Thanks to all the CO's! See individual log about each cache above ^^

As a result of trying to complete the *Tomorrow will be a different challenge* (GC59F90) I've been having too many single find days lately. Getting itchy feet.
So with the Geowife otherwise occupied today I decided to head south to an area with plenty of caches still to be plundered. Went for eight and got all of them - 7 Traditionals and one Puzzle... well it gives me options with the challenge to grab more than one cache type. Good afternoon all round!
That said I had one main target for today, a 2002 hide by The **2 Dogs**. Too long since I've snagged one of theirs.
###END OF CUT AND PASTE SECTION###
Final find of the day. And another quick find.
Signed and replaced. Grabbed the clue to the final - got them all now.
Time to head home.

Well we had to get this one in prep for Strangetrousers 4000, took a short search to find this..
another away trip from Canberra up into the highlands along with StrangeTrousers, Tankengine and Darkside Dan to attempt the series of caches around the Box Vale Tramway .
The day started a bit damp but thankfully improved to a perfect weather for walking around this area.
A good variety of cache types in this area and all in good condition
thanks HappyUke

Up from Canberra for the CITO and for a Sunday geomission around the area
This one was the last one in the series for me to collect and as GZ was nice and deserted with no nosy neighbours, it was a quick find and sign for me! I'll be back to collect the mystery final one day!
Thanks for the hide, HappyUke

A quick find here with ST, MTRAX and DSD. after completing the Boxvale series. We needed this to get Strangetrousers to 3999, so that we could line up #4000. Thanks HappyUke.
#4002 2nd for today
I wanted to do something special for my 4000th find, so I gathered a few likely suspects (DarkSideDan, mtrax and Tankengine) for a hastily arranged trip up to Mittagong to tackle the Box Vale track. DSD and I were here a few weeks ago to do the Crow series just across the chasm & we thought we must return. Good to finally make good on that.
It started out a bit damp with some unforcasted rain early on, but it cleared to be a fine and cool day, just perfect for a long walk. I loved following the old tramway, especially the tunnel. The views down the end were amazing and we could almost see it was a long way down. Great to final see this place.
Thanks to my fellow cachers today for helping me celebrate this special occasion in such a great spot.
Two caches short of my 4000th, so a quick grab on the way home. Just one to go !
Thanks to the COs: HappyUke
