I am archiving this cache after noting that no appropriate action has been taken to restore it, and I have not received any communication from the Cache Owner, Grumbligrot, regarding a request for more time.Circumstances that prevent timely maintenance can arise, and I've provided ample opportunity for the Cache Owner to get in touch. However, with no updates or restorative maintenance completed, I can only conclude that this cache has been abandoned. Therefore, it is being archived to clear the way for new cache placements by other interested players in this location. Caches archived for this reason are ineligible to be Unarchived.[Balayang -Geoff](https://www.geocaching.com/email/?guid=35e8567e-6d62-483c-9e3d-c8ec0ffd25bd)Volunteer Community Reviewer -Australia
### Cache Maintenance Visit Required please.###This geocache has been brought to my attention as needing an Owner Maintenance visit, as the logs indicate that it is most likely missing, or else some other problem exists with the cache. See the [GCHQ Health Score](https://www.geocaching.com/help/index.php?pg=kb.chapter&id=38&pgid=713) process.I agree that it certainly seems necessary to have it checked by the Cache Owner. The cache owner needs to:* Take action to restore the cache or address issues such as correcting the D/T rating.* Re-enable the cache by posting an Enable log* Post an Owner Maintenance log to advise what has been done and to clear any Needs Maintenance attribute which is present. Otherwise :* Post a Note Log to request more time if necessary or provide other information.. **Do not use an Owner Maintenance log for this. That is for use only **when you actually do something to repair the cache**. Alternatively:* Archive the cache, and remove any remaining geo-litter from the site.In the meantime, I've temporarily disabled the cache page to await owner action by Grumbligrot and to take it off the playing board to prevent further geocaching community inconvenience.[Please see the maintenance section of the Geocache Hiding Guidelines.](https://www.geocaching.com/play/guidelines?expand=1#cachemaintenance)**I will check back in 30 days** to see that action has been by the CO.If nothing has happened, I will assume that the cache has been abandoned, and, unfortunately, I will need to Archive this cache. *Caches archived because of lack of maintenance/abandonment will not be unarchived.*The Geocaching Community needs to have a degree of certainty that a cache is in good condition, waiting to be found, and the CO has a responsibility to maintain their caches. Please see [my profile page](https://www.geocaching.com/p/default.aspx?u=Balayang) for additional information.Thank youBalayangCommunity Reviewer -Australia
Today Im heading into George Town to get some documents signed and then to the local post office to get some stamps, but as usual, Im taking the long way round. Being such a beautiful sunny day, its perfect for a country drive to take in the scenery and of course, find a few caches along the way.I didnt find all the caches in this series but I did enjoy reading about these Notable Tasmanians. Its been nearly 2 years since this cache was last found and I was really hoping Id find it, but alas, that was not the case.TFTC GrumbligrotKeep smiling
We tackled this little series of caches today.
It was a bit hit & miss for us with finds on the ones towards the end.
No luck here and a DNF was had.
Nice theme for this one on Max Walker, he certainly was a character.

Another nice quick find. Easily seen on approach if you know what you are looking for. TFTC
#12690 - 10:38:00 AM; Jumped through all of the hoops and made it to Tasmania for a couple of weeks of R&R with family. Decided on a mission to George Town this morning to tackle the NT Trail, thinking it would be a straight forward run along a quiet country road. WRONG! Managed to locate just over half the caches in the series (5 of 9), including this one. This was the quickest and easiest of the finds made along the trail today. TFTC Grumbligrot
Finally we have made it to Tasmania from the mainland. Hoping to cache along the way over our 2 week holiday. Although a little grey it’s not cold so we will be able to see a few things and do some walks
So happy to be here and looking forward to what we will find.

Learnt a few things I didn't know about Max Walker when reading the cache info.
What a legend and such a happy person which is probably why he was such a popular Australian.
Mr Beetle walked straight past this one but I spotted it on approach.
The log sheet is full though and I had to sign over the info at the top of it.
Thanks.

This was a quick one - a relief after my struggles on some of the others in this series. TFTC
After having to skip the last cache along the NT Trail for the moment, I headed further north and this was much easier to find and I wondered why some are so easy and some seem to hard to find. TFTC.
This one will require a replacement log soon as there is only one spot left. The log was not placed back in the lid before reassembling, so required tweezers to remove and did not allow for the container to be done up correctly, surprisingly the log was dry!
After an impromptu overnight stay in Georgetown, we were eager to collect this power trail. With only 20 caches before the big 400 and also keen to complete the milestones for memory lane challenge.
This cache was in good condition. Thanks for the cache.

Tassie Trip Day 211 - This was a great day to take on a the little trail whilst it was not too busy in the area the trail was soon completed and then it was off to the beach for a couple more and a great walk along the shore with the rest of the team staying in the Geo Vehicle and moving it to the other end of the area. I had an error in the head today that saw me use the wrong date all day it should be the 18 apr 19 but my pen wrote 17 apr 19 sorry but the electronic log is correct.
Arrived at GZ and began our search and after short search the cache was found and the all important paper work carried out and the cache returned.
Thanks Grumbligrot for this cache for us to find along this trail.

Today we went out and about with Whitewebbs and headed to the George Town and surrounds to find caches published since our last visit.
An easy find at GZ, cache and contents were in good condition.
Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache for our enjoyment.

Thank you for the cache. Maggie the great GeoWestie caching with Carer. Found with Angus 88
Our final day enjoying Tassie, starting in Georgetown. We have loved the variety of coastal and inland scenery and walking tracks. We had two misses along this trail, so nice to find this one. Thanks for the cache.
Thanks for the cache Grumbligrot. Visiting the George Town / Low Head area with RLD4963 and the GeoGSP for a couple of days. Thanks for this little series! The GeoGSP and I walked between some of the caches in this series to stretch our legs, whilst RLD4963 moved the geomobile. Ah, memories of Max Walker....I loved cricket in the 1970s and he was great, such an unorthodox action. Another nice easy find, cheers!
Out and about with Lil Rafa to get caches for the Hidden Creatures series, all the way to Low Head, we found, signed and replaced the cache, completing the find. TFTC TNLN log dry, cool nights but nice days. easy find with clues.
Travelling around the north picking up new caches since our last visit. This run has been fun on a glorious sunny morning. TFTC a fav point given
Day fourteen of our holiday in Tassie. Bettyboo3747 and I are staying at Low Head.
Time to get the deadly treadlies out, and short ride to the lighthouse before breakfast (and five caches)
A ride south collecting caches along the foreshore, then after lunch, some caches around George Town while the washing was on.
Tangles was certainly a Notable Tasmanian!
An excellent cricketer and football player, and author.
Thanks, Robmc.

#14429. Day 14 of our 3 week holiday in Tasmania. Robmc and I are still staying at Low Head so with dry weather forecast for a while we headed out on the bicycles to pick up a few caches around the area before going in to George Town for another caching run this afternoon (whilst our clothes were happy at the laundrette for an hour or so).
I do remember Tangles very well, what a happy character. We are still continuing on, finding these micro containers and signing in.
Thanks Grumbligrot

We found this very quickly - it stood out from the background as we approached. TFTC
Out and about on a wet and windy afternoon. Have had the remainder of this series on the radar for some time, however, rarely get to visit these parts. Searched about for some time before spotted.. thanks..!!
Our last day of caching around the area and we had a few caches we wanted to get before heading back to Hobart! This just happened to be on the way so we thought we would pay a visit. We remember well Max and his cricket but we also know Max as a Multiply Myeloma sufferer which eventually took his life last year. This is fresh on our minds as Lady membsec also has Multiple Myeloma so we live each day as it comes! Life is great!

Came out to go for a swim at Low head today and thought I’d do some caching. This trail is a nice and easy drive by one! Really enjoyed it TFTC
Hi there Grumbligrot.
We found your cache **"NT Trail 6 - Max "Tangles" Walker"** at 10:02:00 AM today. (This brings our total find count to 18628).
We are currently staying at East Beach Caravan Park with family, so our geocaching this week will be more of a hit-n-miss effort between relaxing, eating, drinking and socialising. Today was a fine opportunity to attempt the "Notable Tasmanian" series. A very little known fact about a not so notable Tasmanian is that Bill Stuart (Ian's dad) was Princess Mary's maths teacher.
We ended up finding a variety of container types and sizes on our journey today & had an absolutely wonderful drive. Our count for the day was 10 finds (& 1 DNF's).
Thank you for placing this cache here, without geocaching as our guide we would never have found so many interesting places to visit on our nomadic wander around Australia.
**Cache Condition:** The container and log book are in good shape.
**Coordinate Accuracy:** We found the cache around 2m from where the GPS said we should be looking.
**Took:** Nothing.
**Left:** Nothing.
Thanks for the hunt today,
Regards
Ian & Penny.

A quick search at GZ and we soon had the cache signed and re-hidden and onto the next. Thanks Grumbligrot for providing this cache and the trail to a beautiful beach.
Haven’t done much Cache this year, but today was way too beautiful to not be out and about. Spotted the cache as soon as I got out of the car for a quick find.

Back home after being in Tassie for a holiday, now the daunting task of logging all our finds, sorting through the scraps of paper with notes on them.
Had a few days of sunshine, a lot of days of rain, ended up with just over 105 finds all up on this trip, and visited many tourist spots in the north of Tassie.
found this cache after a quiet night in Lowhead
thanks to Grumbligrot for this cache series
sorry for duplicate logs

They just don't make them like Maxie any more. Not cricketers anyhow. With guys like him out in the field and Richie & his team in the box, cricket was enjoyable to watch back then. Still remember Tangles leading an entire stand in his warm-up routine before bowling another round of unplayable deliveries. Thanks for the memories Grumbli.
Finished off NT Trail with Carlin&Sondra. Great series TFTC. All slightly different caches but information on each noteable Tasmanian was well researched
We were settling in for the night when the email came through that this cache had just been published. As we were looking for a FTF for July to continue our streak, we collected what we needed and headed out the door for a 130km drive to the cache. It was just starting to rain and along the way, there were some quite heavy showers. About halfway there we realised that in our haste, we had not brought our rain coats - drat. Thankfully the rain was very light by the time we got to GZ. Our GPS units were very definite as to the location but despite 30 minutes of searching, trying to avoid the electric fence, we were empty handed. We didn't want to ring the CO at that hour in case we disturbed him from his slumbers. Instead we sent a text message and within a few minutes we were talking to Grumbligrot. Yes, we were looking in the right area but the cache was not in the location described. The CO generously offered to come out and check things out. On arrival it was confirmed that the cache was missing from its hide. We looked at the options for the missing cache and after another 5 to 10 minutes, the cache was located on the ground among the vegetation. It appears that it had been displaced from the hide location by an unknown force!! We were pleased to see that the logbook was blank. Hence we were able to sign the log and claim {FTF} at 10:05pm. Thanks Grumbligrot for the hide, the series and so much for coming out on a cold and damp night to help out - your generosity was greatly appreciated. So our streak is continued to 49 consecutive months with at least one FTF.
