*Found on the 4 Nov 2024 @ 10:41am.**Cache find # 16004.* A new day and the third day of my road trip, the task at hand was to find a minimum of 20 finds in this LGA being Gannawarra before moving on the Swan Hill and Buloke LGAsOff the back tracks and back on the main road once again which brought me to this one, after checking out the info that was displayed I then went a little further to find this cache, lucky for me it was spotted fairly quickly.**Thanks to Hercs&pinky for keeping the game going by placing this cache.**
GZ had us wandering around in circles but we werent about to give up! We are out exploring the backroads on our way to Lake Boga. Thanks Hercs&pinky for placing and maintaining the cache for our enjoyment. #2383
A few days away on the Murray with LukeSistema saw us nab a few caches as we drove on by. All easy finds here which was nice. Thanks for the fun and adventure.
Now Im really starting to question what time will I get home? This took far too long but oh so much fun when I found it. Log sheet was full so left some plain paper in there wrapped around old log sheet. Masterpiece! TFTC!
This one took a lot longer than it should have. Found GZ and couldn't spot anything out of the ordinary. Read the clue and previous logs and still came up empty-handed. Widened the search and found the top half of a bison tube. After another short search, the rest of the cache was located on the ground. Signed the log and returned to GZ. CO might want to check it is where it was supposed to be. Thanks for the hide, was very interesting indeed.
#4253 Eighth of nine finds while travelling from Echuca to Mildura. Found laying in the open on the ground near GZ. The lid was missing and the logsheet was quite damp. Put it back at the base of the tree. TFTC
On our way to swan hill this is one of the caches we found today. Thanks for the Hercs&pinky
This was exactly what I was expecting but it still gave me a giggle because it IS so out of place. TFTC
Well spotted again by Mrs SKI.After a short stop in beautiful Cohuna a place quite different to many other places we visited it was time to move on. But first we had a few more caches to search for before moving on traveling through Koondrook and Barham and then on to Murrabit and Lake Boga before arriving in Swan Hill. They were lovely small country towns each with their own charm. On the way we did plenty of caching which was made easier by having good places to pull over with a caravan in tow.Thank you for your efforts in creating and maintaining the cache Hercs&pinky.**SKI Pair****
On our annual camping trip in Murrabit but wanted to keep my daily streak going, currently at 554. Tftc - a fave point from me
Making our way from Mildura to Swan Hill today and finding a few caches along the way - even a bit of the new geo art at Euston. Thanks to all the COs who hid the caches for us to find as we make our way along the roads.
Out and about caching today while travelling from Mildura to Swan Hill. Arrived at GZ and in short time found cache. Signed log. TFTC
Outnabout for some solo caching while travelling from The Great Leap Forward Mega event in Adelaide to the Capital GeoBash Mega in Canberra. Grabbed a couple of caches in the area on the way through increasing my LGA tally. Favourite point left for the container. Its always a great day for caching. TFTC Hercs&pinky
Haha, the clue makes no sense until you spot the cache, then it makes perfect sense. After circling gz for a couple of minutes, I looked up and spotted something very out of place. Tftc
Sydney Courier Run!Day One: Gumeracha to CorowaWeather: perfect!Having read all the info, I was pretty sure what I was looking for here, but it still took a few circuits to spot it. Thanks for the cache Hercs&Pinky; nice to be back in your territory. Its officially a megaGCA1DNA The Great Leap ForwardAdelaide, South Australia February 29, 2024Wed love to have your company.
Found by Aussie Train Driver 22/01/2024, find number 1752.Great spot for a cache. My GPS initially lead me to the information shelter however I came up empty handed after a thorough search. After expanding the search area I spotted something a little NQR and had my name in the log book. Nice camo.
Hahahahahahaha... The clue is gold. Phone reception isn't good here so trying to download the details and hints took a while. We enjoyed the garden while we waited
After having this as a dnf from months ago and literally loosing sleep over it we finally drove back today and found it straight away. Very clever. Loved it
Stopped off to grab this sneaky little hide on my way north. Favourite point for me. TFTC
I had a few days leave so Mrs JTreeTrack2 and I decided to pack up the car and head off to where it is slightly warmer (than Ballarat). So North to the Murray River, Swan Hill and Mildura then home through the Wimmera. What is a trip without some caching, so some caching we did, not heaps but enough to leave some more smiley faces dotted on some new parts of the Map.
Nice spot with plenty of parking. Almost ready to get moving then moving around I saw it, thanks for a fun find. The log was signed and put back in place.
The Cache is nice and healthy.
Favorite point added.

#17866 - 12:44:00 PM; Heading over to Mildura via Echuca with the geohoney to wrap up some family business, making a few stops along the way to grab a cache or two as we passed. After a pleasant evening in Echuca, we continued west after spending some time taking in the sights around the Port. Made a quick stop here to stretch the legs and collect this cache. Wandered aimlessly for a bit before I spotted a suspicious object, which soon saw me with cache in hand and the log signed! TFTC Hercs&pinky
Travelling to the Rutherglen Mega and needed a cache in this LGA. I choose this one because it had over 20 fav point. Quick find after i looked in the right tree.
Found with JAMS (( JJ52, Allister w, Mogni, plus sir_spectre ) Mitchell&hound wasn't with us this trip) crew. All logs stamped as JAMS to save log space. This trip we are off to the Rutherglen Mega and then slowly coming back to S.A. for a total of 8 dys and 7 nights. The targets of this trip are for JJ52 to get 11 more multi to get to 1000 multi's and a few more Victorian LGA's, Allister W was targeting 17 virtuals ( or as many as he could get ) a few more Victorian LGA's Mogni to make the Rutherglen Mega her 20, 000 find and also for her to complete all Victoria LGA's, sir_spectre needs 1 more multi to get to 1000 multi's and get his Victoria LGS's down to 2 LGA's left. We got 20 or more finds in a LGA if we stayed in there over night. We also detoured to stamp any challenge caches that we were " in the general area off " and to complete that challenge before we came back to S.A. This meant that some times dirt road (s) had to be walked down because they were to wet to drive down and/or haven't been repaired since last years flooding. We started off the holiday in the rain and then that cleared up only to start raining and a overnight thunder storm but most of the trip was dry. Over 600 caches found for the trip including over 120 lab stages in that total. Got to complete the GPS Maze at the Rutherglen Mega for a 2nd time. Allister w was the team driver for all of the Victorian part of the trip. I think this was the first trip ever to Victoria that the extension pole didn't get used but the 6.2 meter ladder did get a work out.

Excellent. I can see why it has so many favourites and now it has one more from me.
needs maintenance. We are away at the moment, so this will be done when we get back towards the end of March
Found it! Having reviewed the hint we were pretty confident we knew what we were looking for. The GeoKids enjoyed exploring the surrounding area, spotted some strange mushrooms and a bird's nest or 2. Mrs made the find and signed the log. Logbook is damp, but was able to be signed. TFTC
Stopped for a stop on the highway, and found myself full of info...
Whilst looking in the wrong places I caught sight of the cache at another spot. Reading the hint after made sense, would be saved a few mins if had read it earlier... lol

Thanks

Another well constructed well thought out cache, a perfect stop on the highway, well done.
Took us a little while as the area has a bit of vegetation detritus about, but eventually Mr G spotted something that just did not look right
A nice quick find as I stop to stretch my legs. Thanks for the placement of this Cache
An impressive spot with very cool looking infrastructure here. Even the servo impressed, as did the cache.
A mega jaunt with endeavour3 saw us caching this cache and writing in the log, then we moved on. A lovely place to explore.
Thanks to Hercs&pinky and **clear skies** from TeamAstro. [^] Cache the planet! [^]
Watawieh from Norfolk Island South Pacific.
I have teamed up with TeamAstro to attend the Wangaratta mega. We are doing some caching on a road trip returning to Adelaide from Wangaratta.
Good facilities here and made even better with a cache. TFTC

Travelling towards Wangaratta and this was one of our stops. Thanks for placing we enjoyed finding your cache. Fav point alloc
#4679 A quick stop here on our way towards Lake Tutchewop. Make that a quickish stop as the clever cache was not spotted immediately. Thanks Hercs&pinky, we like your work here. Left a FP.
Spent way too long here. I thought I knew what I was looking for but do you think I could find it. No and no and no. I was running out of time for other plans and was about to give up when I finally spotted it. How did I nit see that sooner. A FP for this frustrating hide and thanks for all the great caches I’ve had the pleasure I’d finding. Cheers
Waiting for the bus, thought I’d kill 20 mins. I did but to no avail, did find loose wooden block, didn’t lead to anything!!!
Realised what we should be looking for, but took a while to catch sight of it! There certainly are a lot of Lakes in this area. SL at 2.40pm Nice! #8013 TFTC Hercs&pinky
We stopped to look for this one but just couldn't spot anything. We think we worked out what we were looking for but no luck today.
COs- Apologies for the late log, I'm seriously behind and trying to catch up!?????
The date of this log entry is the date I actually visited your cache.
?????Absolutely ecstatic to be on another geo road trip after a covid induced drought on travel! YAY!??
Being from Queensland, I know I'm taking a chance on getting back in again, but nothing ventured, nothing gained!??
(did get back home before a retro fitted quarrantine order and was out of Victoria the day before it took effect!)??
My aim this time is to get to Ballarat for the Geotour, events and catch up with friends. (Deferred twice already!) Afterwards I'll return home via the Paddle Steamer? series near Mildura to do what I can of them before I have to return home. ??
??I'm also trying to cache in as many LGAs as possible en route and avoid major centres further east being a new game plan atm. ??Also have to keep up to date with changing border restrictions in case of having to abandon all plans and make a desperate dash home,????? so that adds an unusual layer of challenge to this trip.??
??This cache...
?which challenge/ why?
?LGA challenge
?leg stretch ?????
?have a stickybeak??
Stayed overnight at the lovely camp at Piangil and tootled along here. Was surprised at how many lakes there were in the area. Made a fairly quick find and read the info board before continuing on. Clever hide so leaving it a favourite point. ??

Heading to Mildura for a couple of nights to attack some of the Paddle Steamer Series.
Wet and drizzly trip thus far, but looks like it will be much clearer as we travel west.
Cache found quickly and in good condition.
TFTC Claimed our smiley.

The GPS was bouncing and I looked whilst the birds sang above.
A nicely made cache and not sure if I found it in the correct spot on the ground.
The little library fridge and larder across the road is very cute too!
Thanks for the cache and cool construction.

Out and about, north west of Kerang in the fine company of the Suscoe duo. We found a range of caches, some in places where we learnt more about how this part of Victoria works. Very impressive murals too!
Our thanks to 'Hercs&pinky' for adding this cache to the geo-gameboard.

Suscoe headed out for a day of caching to the west and north of Kerang.
We were lucky with the weather and it was a pleasant day with a mild temperature.
We found a range of caches and we found a good number today.
Thanks to Hercs&pinky for this hide, a quick find by Mr PH.

Find No. 3080. Found with FUF009 at 4.15pm.
With Covid restrictions being lifted it was now time to go for a days outing with Geodog Penny and FUF009, and do some caching.
As we wanted to collect the 'Wonders of the World' stamps we decided to head up Kerang way, targeting the caches that held the stamps we both needed. Naturally we done a few extras along the way, as how can you go past a cache that is close and handy to the road we were travelling on?
It was Mr Tyred n Cranky that found the out of place item here at this spot.
Nothing to do with the cache but we loved the colourful mural on the fence.

Day #10 of the adventure although it’s day 1 of adventures on my own as the others had to go home. Aim of the day is to explore Kerang and some of its surrounding lakes.
This one took a little bit of a search to find. Finally spotted it but a muggle would never realize!
Thanks Hercs&pinky for placing the hide!

From Koondrook to Walpurp. It was a nice journey with some Geocaches along the way. This was one of the Geocache we found today. Many thanks to the owner for the hide !
An easy find here by the kids, because it was on the ground. SL and placed back to where we thought it had come from. Great camo!! Giving it a fav. TFTC
Up in the area visiting family for Xmas and out and about before the heat of the day. Lake Charm is where my mother's family grew up. I played footy with the local team based at Mystic Park...what a name. Really enjoyed finding this cache with some other family members out to do some searching on boxing day...and it helped to have more eyes on this. Clever cache and clue. Well done. TFTC
Out chasing a few smilies while this rain has halted the harvest. Looked past/over/through the GZ and then had a h haa moment.

As we headed from Swan Hill to Bendigo today, we stopped along the way to look for some caches. This was one of them.
Despite accurate coordinates, it took a few minutes of hunting before this cache was located. We noticed the hide when one of us looked from the right angle.. The cache and contents were in good condition. Thanks Hercs&pinky for the cache and others you have placed in the area.
