Need to check

20-Jul-19
Out and for a spot of cache detection with the elder Future Finder this afternoon, in between the rain showers. We are concentrating on finding "gems" for the "mystery at the Muesem" promotion. After finding "V in a V" it was over here in hopes of getting our first "ruby". It was not to be. A decent search and confirmation that we were searching the right spot failed to produce the goods. It may well still be there, but with the DNFs adding up, it may be worth a CO check.

06-Jul-19
Hmm... my second DNF here (last time was about a year ago). I followed the Polish guy's directions, which made me reasonably sure it's on one of the trees, but...

17-Apr-19
Tried this one yesterday no luck, got an extra clue so went back today but was where we were looking originally still no luck ️

07-Mar-19
At first we were totally confused by the hint. Finally I realized what the hint had to refer to. Okay, now we know where GZ is and where to look. We went around and around that tree, but still couldn’t spot it. Finally his_old_lady used her tracking capabilities, climbed up and spotted it. She was able to put it back without climbing again.

Went to Orewa for breakfast today and just enough time to find a few caches. Struggled to find a park and squeezed in to a gap here. Great camo. Nice fun cache. SL. TFTC.

Mal schauen, was noch kommt.

We started the day with two more caches in the near of our campground. Even the one we couldn't find yesterday evening was done. Both are tricky hides but we found them thanks to the hints and a bit of imagination. On our way further to the north were a lot of caches - we couldn't  do them all. So we picked some of them and could find all of them. The B-Cache was an exciting one, because of the nest next to the box; we had to be very careful (see picture). Later on we came into the Kauri area and some caches had also to do with Kauri (Kauri stump, Kauri museum, Kauri Forrest,...). The one in Dargaville was a nice one and we found it without help from the info staff. Just before we arrived at the campground Top of the hill, we had one last cache at the roast of Rawene. An easy one if you are tall enough - Mrs fleuchi was not.

Found it! Olaf says hi

Found yesterday. Camping at the nearby campground with the family. Master 10 found this one after we were a bit stumped with the clues. Log needs replacing as no more room to write. We managed to squeeze our name on it though! Great camouflage!!

Well what a great Christmas New Years we have had so far it all started off in Friendly Feilding have Christmas lunch with the family then next day Boxing day off to Danniverke for a weeks holiday together so special first holiday with the Grandson hes only 7 months old, then we didn't know what or where to go next so ended up going to Napier and then across the Napier Taupo road got a cache and a trackable, not easy to stop all the time with a large caravan on the back. We finally got to Taupo and said where to now so we kept going and then we got a text message some plans next week had been transferred to the end of January so we could go away for an extra week. We ended up in Walton Gold course for two nights to finish off the Kiwi and another puzzle series got 46 caches in total some were traditionals as well, got that sorted and then headed off today decided we would do the Route 66 trail and Smilie trail so we ended up in Orewa so we are here for a few nights. We set off this morning and completed the Route 66 series had some lunch about 1.30pm then we decided to get some more traditionals in the area and then slowly head off to get some smilie series caches. once we were back to our accommodation had some tea we decided to go for a walk along the beach front and get a couple of caches. we found this cache no problems a few muggles around but not worried about us next we heard a big bang someone had hit a post in the car park, but didnt get out of the car just drove off. we signed the log and placed the cache back where we found it. 1.15pm. Stopped off for a while on my way up to the farm for a few days work. Started raining as I arrived at the car park. Grabbed a coat and went for it. Soon spotted the polish man but if he hadn't shown me where to look I doubt that I would have found it.
Thank you. David.

Out and about in the Orewa/Wainui/Riverhead areas today picking up the odd outliers in my system.

Cheers for the cache.

Spotted the Polish guy, but he was no help today.

23-Apr-18
We had been out hunting owls in the Big Hoot on the North Shore. As Mr. Kiwi's brother was in town it was up to visit the parents to say hi and have some dinner. We had had no luck getting any caches today, so as there was still some day light time left, it was decided that there were a couple of easy ones nearby to grab quickly.

We parked across the road and wandered on over to GZ. Once we found the general area where GZ was, we started to look around, using the hint for a bit more guidance. Once that was found, the cache was soon in hand. The log was signed and the cache replaced where it was found.

Was a bit confused initially but soon clicked as to the hint and soon found the cache. Replaced the log & signed, thanks

21-Jan-18
Couldn't find it. Thought we had the clues sussed but I guess not!

07-Jan-18
I found the hinted at item and then tried for the cache. I thought I saw a plastic corner sticking out from above, but the necessary attribute was not there for this location. I went there anyways and while I was wedged in an compromising position, I managed to find the cache in a place that did in fact agree with the attributes.
I am not sure what all the bits were in the plastic bag, but I signed the log and put it all back. TFTC.

07-Jan-18
Had to wait a while before reaching up

25-Nov-17
Stopped here on the way home from a Surf Life Saving Carnival at Orewa Beach which Kiwiscot was competing in. Kiwi was focused on a larger light source nearby but Kiwiscot was more on to it and spotted something, put 2 & 2 together and soon had the cache in hand. Needs a new log. Sorry, we do not have our supplies with us today. Daily cache sorted Smile

20-Nov-17
The clue confused us initially until we saw something that started to make sense. Then it took about 5 minutes to locate the cache. All was found in good condition. TFTC

12-Nov-17
Looking to grab a few more caches while out this way with TheMexikwi and gave this one a go. Not too sure what we were looking for and then the hint made sense all of a sudden and we were in business. Nicely hidden - TFTC

Nice hide clever

02-Nov-17
I went out for a hurried bit of caching while my wife gave our hired motorhome a last clean out as we were due to drop it off in Auckland at 10.30am. I was at GZ at 8.50am and spent a few minutes searching according to where the man on the sign pointed but came up with nothing. Had to get back quickly so sadly gave up. TVM4tC.

Was a bit muddy underfoot for the bush walk in the Waitakeres I had planned for today.....
So I was pleased to see all these new caches in Orewa! Perfect to do on the Public Holiday....And a lot of them are near or in trees ...so I'm celebrating Arbour Day too !
This was totally hilarious ! Very unexpected .....didn't know what to expect !
Even when I located it I still had to work out what to open !
Favourite thanks Glyn !

Merlot58, Aiden29 and ourselves returned to the sunny Orewa to collect some new caches that had been published since the last time we had been up here. Aiden29 spotted the hide and after pawing over the flasher it was MrJag50 who finally exposed the cache and log.

04-Jun-17
It didn't take too long to spot the flasher, slightly out of place, but it was Mr Jag50 who finally applied the hint and uncovered the goods. Fav point for the clever construction.

04-Jun-17
Aiden29 quickly spied Orewa's local flasher, and Mr Jag50 applied the hint to reveal the log. I loved this hide so fp from me

03-Jun-17
Staying nearby and decided to get a couple of local caches. This was a great one. Gets a fav.

28-May-17
Lots of new caches in the area, got a new bike that needed a test run before riding to work tomorrow and need some caches to continue my numbers for a challenge so this circuit was a place to head for. Shall we or shan't we cross the main road, went for it and was rewarded with a find. TFTC

27-May-17
Out and about in an area I normally walk every week and this was the first find of the morning. Beautiful and misty and was joy to watch the paddle boarders at high tide appearing out of nowhere. Nice quick find of the cache and then off to the next one. TFTC

26-May-17
One more before heading back to the nth shore, after a couple of easy FTFs kindly left out to find for me by Gorby. I have to say this must be one of the more delicate and fiddly caches I have found recently, but not complaining with a second to find here, cheers

26-May-17
I saw little Piggy become really active last night in the Orewa area, Piggy Master was on another roll and I was keen to follow the little guy but to be frank Frank, I was far too tired to lift my feet of my sofa and away from the nice cold bottle of bubbly and the warm heater I had next to me! So sorry Mr Herder, but the mind was willing but the body was weak!
So I went to bed at 11pm... but woke again at 2am and just couldn't get back to sleep so tossed and turned until 3:45am and decided bugger this, enough was enough and got up and turned on the computer and along with a hot coffee decided to come up to Orewa and suss out where the little piggy had been squealing and follow his trail. Got here shortly before 5am and decided to do just 3 or 4 caches before work at 7am over at St Heliers. So armed with headtorch off I went and soon noticed what the hint was referring to, very clever G. Then it was a matter (not a small one either) of finding the cache with it's many 'layers' so to speak. That made me laugh for sure. Thanks very much G for the cache, I really enjoyed it and the {FTF}! Certainly a FP from me.

Cool FTF#405 Cool
